I always have a great experience here! I’ve seen Dr. Lauren and Dr. Kiana for my beardie and they are both amazing; got him back to feeling better quickly when he had a respiratory infection. Saw Dr. Kristen today with my cat and she was amazing! Vet assistant Marley was also great with my nervous baby. 10/10
Was here twice with my rats. Both times the staff and service was best. Thank you so much for your work, support and kindness. You are true professionals. Best reception, and medical staff. Thank you Victoria for supporting me at such a difficult moment this week. I still have several small pets at home and if anything we will come here for help. We have been to 2 other vets and can see the real difference.
Caring place. I brought my bunny to be put down after unsuccessful treatment at another hospital. Bunny was clearly in terrible shape. They charged me for euthanization, but also charged me $100 for an examination without ever asking me about this. Not great, but caring people.
I went to this Vet hospital for almost a year now. I love the Assistants they are all welcoming and they are very sweet/nice.but this Veterinarian (small, petite woman) is very cold she doesnt seem to like her job no passion and force you to take the other vaccines.she doesnt even smile or greet my dog she only check their vitals signs and vaccinate them and that's it.it's very different from the other veterinarian.
I’ve dealt with multiple vets here and they have all been very professional and caring with my rats. When my rats had to be put down, they were very consoling and even signed a personalized condolences card
I had a great experience here today with my bearded dragon. I was worried that it would be difficult to find care for an exotic pet, Dr. Parsaie was wonderful. So happy to know that we have a great place to rely on!
I wish I could leave no Star review. First of all, they do not follow their policy - only one owner is allowed to be inside with the pet in the treatment room. We are two owners of budgie who died of their unprofessional approach and careless treatment. Yet, we saw there were two pet owners in one room with their pets. We were not provided with X-rays of our bird even upon request. Only one of us was allowed to be inside who was later asked to leave the room before the procedure. So we don't know what and how that procedure was performed. Our female budgie came in happy, chirping, feeding, communicative, etc. Within 5 to 10 mins of treatment, our budgie died. We rushed back again. The vet asked for permission to do CPR which was not necessary as she was already dead. They didn't even keep her under observation during recovery. We are asked to pay for one service after the other. I was under the impression that these are just money-making people working here who don't know how to deal with their paying customers. I found rudeness and discrimination in their attitudes. We thought we were lucky to find an earlier appointment. However, it was such careless treatment leading to our bird's death within a few minutes. We are devastated by their response and insensitive attitude.
I came to Amherst veterinary hospital on August 12,2022 for a examination for my dog Ripley, this is the second time I have come to this place. I've been to veterinary clinics with Ripley before but never once have I come across a Veterinarian who really took the time to explain everything to me and be patient without feeling like I'm being rushed. Dr. Cowan was amazing and I appreciated the way he was with Ripley. Dr. Cowan isn't a regular Doctor here but whoever has the privilege of having him care for your pet is extremely lucky. Thank you again Dr. Cowan.
Our daughter's pet rat, Maple, was suffering terribly today and we knew we needed her to be put to sleep. I called first thing and they told us to bring her right away. They were kind and considerate and even wrapped her in a blanket and put some sweet flowers in her box when they brought her back for us to say a final goodbye. Thanks for being so thoughtful
