Amos Waites Park

Very fun park situated right on the lakefront with lots of things for kids to do. It has an overall pirate theme, with multiple structures (slides, swings, etc.). In the summer there is a pool and amazing splash pad!

Pros: Splash pad, lakefront, lots of ducks, fun theme, large area
Cons: Limited parking, small slide has a ladder instead of stairs (my son can't get to the age appropriate slide on his own!), wood chip ground (not the worst, but not as good as the newer cork ground parks, especially when wet).

Great playground with lots of play structures for the kids, and many nearby amenities for parents, like a coffee shop.

Very convenient local park with access to the lake. Lots of amenities but could use more cleaning.

Large playground with lots of space to run around including a huge boardwalk overlooking a yacht club. Smokers should stay further away from the play grounds not like 2 meters away.

Nice playground, clean splash pad, lots of green space for picnics, public bathrooms, not much parking nearby.

Family friendly and fantastic until the teenagers show up to "hang out" later in the evening.

Great for all ages with a waterfront water park and pool with public washrooms picnic tables with grass surroundings

Really loved this park. So many amenities and activities in one place.

The playground is pirate themed with multiple structures and slides. It is situated right by parking and the public swimming pool. There is a splash pad area and a sandbox with tons of semi-covered seating.

There is also a running/biking trails along the waters. One thing to note - if you have small children, even if there is a sign to watch for children, we've encountered rude bikers who yell and were speeding without care. So be mindful of that especially if you have a stroller or a wagon, to careful steer your young children out of the way.

Great park, only down side is there is so little parking and once in a blue moon drunken people sitting around yelling. But the parents there are great at escorting them away feom the play area.

Does everyone know they are removing the park for condos and routing a road thru to Primrose. Shame. Beautiful mimico

Water front trail. Excellent place to ride your bike and walk your dog. All seasons of the year.

Lovely Mimico neighborhood park right by the water. Playground & pool for the kids & wider community. Loved the trails, seeing people enjoying themselves walking, biking. Saw swans & kayakers on the water.

Very nice park! We went We my nieces and nephews and we had a blast.
Only two complaints, there is not enough places with shadows and the table doesn't have four bench only three. The bathrooms are really small so its not easy to make your kid change into their swimsuits for the slash pad.

Great splashpad and the pool looks pretty great too! The pirate theme is awesome and the playground is great for all ages. Climbing, swings and slides. Can't go wrong.

A hidden gem. Great splash pad and play zone for kids. Has a swimming pool that was closed due to maintenance. Great trail for cycling. Kids enjoy this place!

My favourite park to take the kid! There’s new and well maintained playground structures, a fantastic splash pad for the kids to cool down in and tons of other fun things to do all around the space (ping pong table, communal toys, etc).

They recently reopened the pool (looks dreamy and refreshing!) and the site has clean washrooms/change rooms for the whole family!

The views of the Toronto lakeshore are second to none, and you really can spend an amazing day walking along the boardwalk and taking in the sites.

Sometimes the best things in life are free!

One of the nice Clean and not too crowded board walks. Also great for cyclists. They have a small splash pad as well

This park has a huge playground, with a nautical theme, as well as an outdoor swimming pool. Popular spot on the weekends with families with young children. Spots to sit and watch the kids climb and play. Take a short walk to the water's edge to watch the ducks and swans. Access from Lake Shore Blvd West at Mimico Ave.

I like this park. Its got a splash pad, swings, slides, sand box, benches, chairs, pool. Located by the lake. You can see the ducks. There is a bike path that leads you downtown toronto. Td bank is near by. Coffee place like birds and beans, mimico bagel. Value mart nearby for grocery shopping. Bus stop route, is a loop that takes you back to Royal York station. Only reason why i gave it 4 stars. Is because when i used to live in this area. There were some druggies that overdosed around the park area. That's was not a good sight. Considering you take your kids to the playground. But playground itself is good to take your kids.

Quite a few options for kids to run about, swing, climb and slide. A few benches nearby, for lazy parents too ;)

Beautiful park for children of all ages l love it since my four years old son can't pass one day without visiting Amos Waites Park. I think the City should do something about the bicycle lane bicycle riders should slow down at the curve too dangerous for children for all parents watch for your child as the bicycle lane too close to children

Beautiful vistas. We saw many birds including fledgeling swans. We could also watch a beaver causally swimming while hugging the shoreline. Very nice area for evening walks.

Great park for the kids. Has a large pirate ship with slides and rope bridges. Great for the kids learning to balance, climb and to play with others. Also has a great splash pad and pool right next to it. Kids play get hot then cool off all in the one place very convenient! Also has a great coffee shop right next to the park!

Always a great place to go with the kids. Full of things to do and let them run their energy down. My daughter sleeps on the way home everytime.

This park has everything you would want to have in a park. If your with kids there's an awesome park. If your a birder or lover your going to see plenty and sometimes even trash pandas come out. A very cool park to go to for any age and for whatever you want to do.

I love this park. A few food places nearby to grab snacks/drinks and munch on them while enjoy the water and sun. Offers good children play area, water splash pad, and swimming pool. The park is clean and people are friendly. This neighbourhood is nice anyway.

Sandbox, swings, big and little wooden play structure with slides, splash pad, outdoor pool, boardwalk with tons of ducks and swans, gravel trails along little peninsulas. Great restaurants and cafes on Lakeshore right there. Small parking lot but huge free one behind valumart 1 block over if you need groceries too.

I love this park. It has s great play ground for kids of all ages. Also has amazing splash pad for kids of all ages. With chairs and picnic tables for the adults. I almost forgot to mention a hugh swimming pool and change rooms. There is also two big bathrooms for the splash pad. So parents and kids can change clothes or wash up and use the toilets etc.
It is just a amazing park with a beauitful trail and view of the city. (Down Town Toronto)

Beautiful park with lovely scenery and great amenities. Spandex cyclists on path are very dangerous. They don't understand, or maybe don't care, that the path is shared with vulnerable children, seniors and animals. Too bad. Be extremly vigilant of these priveleged men when on the path.

Urban park under transition right now. Park has a new kids playground and water park along with an outdoor pool. I suggest the city take more time and money in developing the costal shoreline with marginal vegatation to increase habit for wildlife. This would be a good park for some native species pollinator gardens.

Really over run with people and it's seems no matter where I sat there were men who kept trying to interact, sitting close, and mild cat calling
