Amsterdam BrewHouse

One of the worst service possible. I generally share positive reviews and Amsterdam Brewhouse is one of my favourite places in downtown.
The server “Marcus” was nice initially but things turned sour when he started snatching beers out of hand. Id you plan to visit the place, please ensure that you’re NOT served by MARCUS. The waiter is tempramental and will start to misbehave with you.
Other than the slow service, the guy had the balls to start SNATCHING beer out of your house. Whether it was the issue around the Tip or some other concerns, the gentleman was responsible to ruin our night.
Disgusting behaviour. Management needs to act.

Shout out to Marcus for making our birthday night a memorable one. Service was exceptional and will be back again.

Fish n’ Chips (haddock in 3-Speed) was not flavorful and soggy. Fries were small ends & bits, not good. Didn’t like the food
Great environment to watch a game and grab a beer. I’ll eat here again, if you give me free meal.

First time here. Food are OK. Good beer. Fantastic service, our server was super nice and friendly. Food and drinks were took long time to be served but not too long.

The atmosphere is amazing and the service is good. The only thing I need to say is that the food is coming cold. Expect this all is good

Been here many times. This is a large place but still can get very busy due to its proximity to a lot of tourist attractions downtown especially when there is a game on. When they are busy the wait can be long to get seated and food will take longer than usual. The decor is cozy and the atmosphere can feel quite vibrant. Service has always been adequate. There is a large selection of beers to choose from and the food is reasonably good! On a nice day, the outside patio is often busy because it has a nice view of the lake. This is a fabulous place to hang out with friends if you are not pushed for time. Another good thing is that they can accommodate large groups.

I have been here more than 5time.the atmosphere is here are the best. No matter how busy they are they give you the best option-to seat asap.
The staff always smiling and they look after you not even 5 min to take your order.the drink and food com so fast. I think the customer service here is very very good.good management and beautiful

Amsterdam is a Toronto Harbourfront Anchor. The restaurant can be busy so do expect a wait but the food is delicious and the views are great. The staff are always friendly and they also make their own beer (if that wasn’t obvious in the name!).

We take friends and family and out of town visitors here frequently! Always a great experience!

This is the awesome brewery I ever had. There is a person called Symon. His hospitality is awesome. I would strongly recommend him. Cheers Symon!

We had a few drinks in this establishment and it has to be said; our service from Robert H was second to none. He provided us some charming chat that made us feel not only welcome, but like we were valued guests. He even remembered our names! Thank you Robert!

Excellent service! Thank you Michael. Our order was taken quickly, food arrived in a timely manner and was scrumptious.
We also had a fantastic view of Lake Ontario.

I went there with my family and we were not disappointed. Food quality was great though, quick service, great ambience, good options for alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, kids menu was also full options however, I would love to see Pasta too in their kids menu. Overall rating from me.

Hard to have a conversation when this place gets busy. Had fish tacos that were delivered cold - probably the wrong thing to order in a group order of seven.

Pretty nice restaurant. The service is very quick and friendly. The view is gorgeous during the day. Food is pretty good and the cocktails are always on point!

Brisket sandwich was a 10/10 went with family everyone seemed happy, service is slow, due to it being a huge building and the staff shortage.

I highly recommend this place. The food was excellent, a perfect location with a lake view. Me, my friends and my little daughter Maria Sole had a great time there. And the best part of all was the staff, Deborah. What such of a kind and friendly soul. My daughter loved her, and she kept the drawing they made together in her favorite box Cards. Thank for the management and a especial thanks again for Deborah for the extra mile service.

First time visiting, our waitress Deborah was great. Stellar location stellar service! However, white it was cute that our waitress wrote a little message on our kids cookie, she wrote on everything! Just wasn't professional or tactful. My only complaint is that the washrooms were not clean.

Because I'm vaccinated they refused me to seat outside. This is insane.they said that the patio is only for people that are not vaccinated. This is crazy. The patio has only 4 persons and more than 40 chairs

Was there on Sunday night at 930 pm (10.10.21) - they close at 11pm. Drove for more than an hour. Service was not the greatest. We sat at the patio, we were seated right in front of a door way, where people from the patio would use to go in and out to use the washroom.
We ordered fish/chips- it was cold, fries seemed old. Two mojitoes- seemed okay, not the greatest.
Server didn’t check on us at all. She only came
Once at the end when we asked her for the bill. This was our second time coming, will not be returning.

Excellent beer, excellent food, excellent service with a great location and atmosphere. What more could you ask for?

Great place, clean, nice atmosphere, good beer, just poor service. Didn't have a bad time, just would have been better with a little bit better service.

Went for group dinner end of September.
Since it was a group of 10 we could not get a reservation! We waited an hour for a table.
Food was very good and we had a good time. Our server was great!
Not sure why we could not have just reserved 2 tables of six beside each other? Odd reservation policy

Great ambience, drinks, and unbelievable margarita pizzas! Only wish they had more drink choices.

We've come to Amsterdam Brewhouse a number of times in the past and never left a review. This time we came for a special reason, we brought our bridal party out for dinner the night before our wedding.

We didn't tell the staff why we were there. Our table was ready when we arrived (despite being late on a Friday night) and our server (Deb? Debbie?) was quick to take our orders! The food and drink was great, just as it always has in the past! No one in our party had any complaints!

The reason why I'm leaving this review is because Deb was wonderful. We paid for the party, but when we asked for the bill she took out pieces of receipt paper and handed them to our guests, when they turned them over she had written "Haha gotcha! " on them! I didn't ask her to do this, but I thought it was hilarious! She also gave me a hand written thank-you card, which was such a sweet gesture!

If you're ever looking for a place to host a special event/party I would not hesitate to recommend Amsterdam Brewhouse!

Great food, staff and enviroment. Waterfront view to die for and a selection of beer that will keep your taste buds curious all night. Social distancing measures in place for your safety.

Great drinks. Great service. Great location. Great view. Very disappointing food.

There was nothing sticky about the sticky toffee pudding. In fact it was dry. The ice cream was the only thing that gave it moisture.

We had a caesar salad that was very wet-not from too much dressing-but it seemed the leaves we're not fully dried. And the croutons were stale. They were a little soft and chewy.

The artichoke dip was good, though. Small, but good.

That said, we didn't come here for the food. Just the view and drinks, which were great. Staff were excellent.

Long waits for walk in and a bit unorganized trying to accommodate the long lines. Once we were seated the service was great and got our drinks right away. The bar was quiet and relaxing.

Great service and atmosphere. Only thing I didn't like was not getting to pick my own beer for a flight.

We went on a weekday and the staff offered us the best seat with great views. Wood fired margaritas are to die for. Great experience and best service. Cheers

We came here on an unseasonably warm fall day and was able to sit outside by the water. Good social distancing and the staff were superb. Food was great and lots of beer options.

I go to the Amsterdam Brewhouse whenever I happen to be headed to Harbourfront.

The interior is nice, the washrooms are clean, the food is nicely portioned and good tasting.

But the best part of this brewery is the outstanding selection of local brews they produce/serve.

I mainly come here for the Boneshaker on the tap and I always leave as happy as a drunk clam.

The second time there! Great views and service! Food also tastes great! Everything is fantastic!

We highly recommend this place food is good customer service is good and the social distancing in the space is amazing I recommend everybody give it a shot!

I like the waterfront bars and there aren’t too many out there so it should be on your list.

Amazing safe place! All safety measures are taken for you to have your best smoked brisket sandwich with a craft brew! Highly recommended

Great place! I loved the outdoor patio. The food, service and overall atmosphere was incredible. I love the smell of a good bonfire outside complemented with good music and phenomenal beer. A must go!

Amsterdam brewhouse is massive. They have the brew house scene down packed. Plenty of seats for big or small groups. The beers are delicious. I will be making my way back. Thanks.

We enjoyed the flights of beer, the server was actually friendly and knowledgeable about beer which was nice, the food was good, big portions nice flavours. Our toddler was well accommodated.

Would not recommend coming here when it's busy, worst customer service.the server was incredibly rude, drinks were awful, burger came out cold.people pay a lot of money to eat here and I expect the price and service to represent the level of professionalism they advertise. Burger was soggy and greasy, very disappointed, never coming here again.

Came here with my family and been waiting like 1hr and a half, the wait list is eternal and the organization bad hostess and service, the beer is good but everything else really not worth it

I would suggest pre booking as they are mostly packed.if booked, seating is quick
Staff knows their stuff, great customer service and orders dont take that long.
Music was loud but its a pub so.:)

When we arrived, it wasn't busy we got seated right away. We sat between two other table and not one person cane to take our order or even offer a drink or something after 15 mins went by I finally grabbed a waiter and asked him who our server was. Food was ok. Burger was ok - wasn't made with love. Fries were under cooked.

Large place with great in house beer selection and excellent lake views. In the summer you can sit on the outdoor patios right next to the lake. Can be very busy at peak times so make a reservation or expect to wait for a table.

Great place to visit. The food is just like comfort food. The BBQ brick chicken is quite good. I also recommend their poutine and their pretzel. They also have a wide variety of beers hence the name of the restaurant.

Went here with friends visiting from overseas and because we all stepped out for a smoke I had to leave my credit card with the server. Please learn customer service from Japan. The chicken wings were stale and in all was a terrible evening and not worth $100. Will never go back.

Wow! 5 stars isnt enough. Good beer, and the dish I had was Absolutely Incredible! Grilled Brick Pressed Chicken (with the breaded lemon chicken instead) WHOA! Well worth the $$ spent!

Seems like everyone I go here the bar is out of some if not most of the beers that I want to drink, food is very good and the service is great. Just wish I could get a good limited beer here once and a while.

I came here with a group of 6 and they stuffed us into a booth for 4 people, we politely asked if we could pull some tables together and sit more comfortably instead of sitting shoulder to shoulder but were refused because they said they don't have any servers serving that part of the restaurant even tho it was literally right beside the booth.
My group of friends and I were very disappointed at the service and walked out. I don't know how their food is and I will never find out since I've honestly never had such bad service at a restaurant. Especially when simply asking to sit at a different table

Food and drinks were great as usual. Waited 18 minutes for Devon to greet us after being seated. She didn’t clear the many menus on our table until our food arrived. On top of very long delays on drinks; the server chose to lbrag about going to drink with a manager. I haven’t tipped below 18% in over 10 years but Devon didn’t make me feel bad about it. I’ll be back but hopefully we get someone else serving us.

Came for lunch. Unfortunately they didn’t have burgers due to some issue In the kitchen. I tried the brisket sandwich which was disappointing. Enjoyed the beer flight I had.

Did a surprise birthday here for my girlfriend. Was a great experience. Food was great, view was great, atmosphere was great & she was surprised lol. Good job Amsterdam Crew for making it happen!

Came here tonight to celebrate my birthday with 3 of my girlfriends.it went terribly.

We came in at 5 pm and were sat within minutes after walking in.but no one greeted us at the table for at least 20 minutes with several servers passing us by. We finally grabbed any server because we really needed waters and the server was so IRRITATED that you felt his annoyance when he spoke. He said he was not our server and that it has been a long day and was almost done. He took our drink orders and left. After 10 more minutes, our server finally came and introduced herself, tried to rush our food order. I ordered the butter squash ravioli and when it came out, it was cold. I tried to flag our server but she never came back until the end of our meal, and I called over another server and my friend order a dip for her fries, while I told him my food was cold. This server said "sorry, let me see what I can do" and left. He also never came back. By the time our server checked up on us, we were done eating and incredibly annoyed that we just wanted to leave so we took the check and left.

Here are the positives though:
- was sat quick
- food was decent even when it was cold

Maybe the servers were all having a bad day? EIther way, a very unpleasant experience. So if you are reading this and trying to make a decision on where to eat.go elsewhere.
