First time eating here. I had the curry potato roti (spicy). I must say everything was really fresh and the spice level was good. The person taking my order was so humble. I'll be back for more!
Visited the richmond hill location for a birthday lunch… food was absolutely amazing (the rice and peas were the best i’ve ever had) but the service was even better.owner gave me a free oxtail soup just because he wanted me to try it… and he didn’t even know it was my birthday.thank you for the awesome experience!
This place has been on my mind ever since I visited last week for my boyfriend’s birthday lunch. The jerk chicken and rice & peas were phenomenal. Has a great amount of spice and the flavour was incredible. The owner gave us a free bowl of oxtail soup and I’ve been craving it ever since. Really friendly service, great food and such a hidden gem. The worst part is that they are closed on Sundays and Mondays! I can’t wait to eat here again.
Delicious food and great customer service. The front end was very friendly and welcoming. Had some goat as well & its all the meat is juicy flavorful and cooked perfectly. This is my go to place from now on
I've never had such flavourful & wholesome food! We ordered the jerseys chicken with rice & coleslaw, chicken roti & mac/cheese. All these dishes I have nothing slightly bad to say but it's the best I've ever had anywhere! The customer service is amazing, the owner is very humble! I can't wait to come back!
I've been here numerous times and the quality has always been great. My go-to is the Jerk Chicken Roti and its loaded. The roti itself isn't too thick and the fillings are nice and juicy. Service is also great, fast, and friendly
Best place for jerk chicken in richmond hill.chicken was unbelievably spiced, rice was cooked perfectly and the coslaw was amazing.i also met the owner Aneal and he was very kind and sparked up a conversation.i can’t recommend this place enough, amazing food!
Me and my girlfriend visited last Friday after a friend had recommended me to try this place out. We absolutely loved the food as well as the service. We ordered the stewed oxtail and a curry chicken roti and the portion was more than enough for us both, and the quality was on point.
Aneal’s Taste Of The Caribbean is one of those spots that when I’m craving their food, I’ve gotta have it right away. The Jerk Chicken is my favorite, my wife loves The Oxtail and The Rice and Peas is actually one of the best I’ve ever had. Aneal is the master behind all the amazing food there and he’s always happy to chit chat with you. If you like to support small businesses and you like/love Caribbean food, you should definitely eat at Aneal’s.
I've been going to Aneal's Taste of the Islands since the pandemic and now it's an almost weekly takeout treat. I usually get the large jerk chicken and oxtail. The jerk chicken is one of the best I've tried, it's tender, juicy and flavorful. The rice and peas are flavorful and I usually get yummy hot sauce on the side. The sauce is quite spicy, so beware! The oxtail is great too. Portions and price is decent, but as we know, everything has gone up in price.
Aneal, the owner is kind and has a warm personality. I've never tried dining in, but there are a few tables. Most orders are for takeout.
I usually search for the best jerk chicken places and there aren't that many in the vicinity, but the ones I tried nearby are no comparison. I even tried some in Vaughan, but Aneal's is by far the best in the area!
Sharing my experience on behalf of my boyfriend aswell, such a welcoming environment, the food was amazing! Portion size was very generous considering I ordered a small (jerk chicken). As for the service owner was very friendly and communicative, our interactions were not strictly service related, we were able to have very interesting and interactive conversations that left us feeling very positive. We will definitely make a return:)
Ordered jerk chicken and pork stew to go. The jerk chicken is very well seasoned and tasty. Pork is full of flavors. If you are a spicy foodie, must try their homemade spicy sauce.
Without question, my favorite place to eat in Richmond Hill. Aneal is a gem of a human being and makes some incredible food. His oxtail, jerk chicken, and soups are all among the best you’ll find in York region or the GTA.
Wow what a great experience! The food was clearly made with love because it blew me away. I live downtown but this place is worth the travel. Also, Aneal is a lovely man! Thanks for a great meal!
First time coming to this restaurant and might I say they have amazing food, wonderful friendly staff and tasteful food choices. Would recommend coming here all the time if your in the mood for come jerk chicken!
Ordered curry goat, Mac pie + bbq chicken, and oxtail soup. The large curry goat had hardly any meat, and the meat itself was very over cooked/dry and had no gravy at all. The mac pie and bbq chicken was mostly heat and not a lot of actual flavour. The oxtail soup seemed like vegetable soup with a few pieces of bland oxtail thrown in - the soup itself was good but unfortunately the oxtail didn’t add anything to it!
Visited Aneal's restaurant in North York. Wow, what a beautiful smell of food hitting you right in the face when we walked in. Started the taste buds right away. Sat down for lunch and saw that famous cartoon smiling picture of Aneal. So coool!
We ordered doubles, ox tail soup, dhalpuri curry chicken, dahlpuri curry potato and jerk chicken. All I can say is the food get lick down! Washed it down with a few Solo's and a pear drax. The food was full of amazing flavour and it didn't disappoint! Would eat there every day if we could.
Great job with the new opening and fantastic food! Good luck to Aneal and Neesha. All the best. We will be back very soon. 100% Highly recommend Aneal's Taste of the Islands.
