The deli has a huge selection of different cuts.

The bakery section is super popular for a reason. The bread always smells so nice and it's really fun getting it cut with the machine. The fruit-based cakes are not too sweet as they opt out for American buttercream.

The hot food bar has a great pasta section. It's always busy but worth the wait. The ladies at the station work hard. The prices are reasonable.

The gelato is also great, lots of variety. There are other sections such as the salad bar, groceries and shelf-stable foods.

It's just fun exploring the store.

I diverted 1 hr off the highway for a specialty cake with a photo printed on it from Angelo's, and unfortunately, I honestly could've gotten better from Sobeys.

Firstly, they charged an extra +$20 to print a photo on a $25 cake, and the photo portion was completely inedible. It was a rock-hard shell on the top of the cake.

Secondly, they wouldn't write the message on our cake because "they don't want to hold the responsibility of people driving home with their cakes, then complaining that the writing has shifted". Are you kidding me? Any cake shop holds this responsibility.its a pretty small one. And part of the business of making custom cakes.

Thirdly, the cake tasted bad. Just plain sub-par overpriced cake. Not moist. No love in it.

I'd rate the birthday cake 0/5 if given the option. Extremely disappointed I took an hour detour and wasted my energy for this.

Angelo’s foods are great. Good range of variety. Their cake & dessert section is one of the best in town. I enjoy their breakfasts/brunch. Decent pricing & very nice ambiance.

Angelo's is a great place to go for a quick meal or to shop for Italian products! I went here to have lunch before going on a road trip, the meal was delicious and they offer complimentary bread and butter; my appetite was satisfied for the next 6 hours! My only complaint is that some of the prices are a little bit higher than the supermarkets.

They Treat Their Customers Terribly

I was in there to pick up a few things. There is one item I am most interested in there, but often pick up a few other items. To be honest, there is little there that you can't get elsewhere. Anyway, I made it up to cash and the tap on my card didn't work. The cashier (who I suspect is related to the owner/manager or is one of the owners) very curtly told me the tap did work and that I didn't know how to use it properly, to which I responded that I had been having problems with it this morning (Dec. 07,2021) and it didn't work at two other stores and I proceeded to put it in the card reader (which did work). This unleased a tirade from the woman saying that other customers had it worked, that it worked just fine and that I was doing it wrong (does she work for the tap people or something? Why get so ruffled by the tap not working for me). Three times I repeated that it wasn't working FOR ME (I later found out that my credit card company was having technical issues and that the tap was disabled for that particular company's users this morning). I took my purchase and walked out (after paying of course) telling her that she was incredibly rude and that this was one of the reason I wouldn't be back to the store.

SHE FOLLOWED ME OUT TO THE PARKING LOT yelling at me that I was rude. I went to my car and drove away. This person obviously doesn't listen and is very poor at customer service. I don't need Angelo's Italian Bakery & Market, but I'm guessing they need customers.

I have already sourced another place to buy the one thing I generally go there for, so no more Angelo's. Not worth the aggravation, but someone definitely needs anger management counselling and it isn't me.

Very good specialty market, I saw a lot of foods I had forgotten about over the years and it was a massive throwback to my childhood to try them all again. The bread here is fantastic, and specialty meats like guanciale are fairly priced. It does get a bit expensive if you are buying imported goods, but there's no avoiding that, so it's best to do regular groceries elsewhere and go here for the things you really want but can't find anywhere. Also, the antipasto selection is massive, definitely a good market for me.

Unprofessional place! They give you a quote and after when you really decide to order the product they change the price. They do not recognize their mistakes. Ali who says be a manger is a rude person.
They lost a persona client and a corporative client at the same time.

This review is based solely on the service I received from management when trying to order a cake.

Called throughout a day from 8: 30 am - 6pm to order a non specialty cake for the following day. Never once got through to the cakes and pastries department. On the one attempt to bounce to customer service I spoke with a manager who told me to order on line, I informed her I didn't want to order on line and have over the passed 15 years always been able to call and order. Instead of taking my order she informed me the department was busy and if I didn't want to order on line I would be fine coming in the following morning as they always have this cake on hand. Well she was wrong!

Drove in from out of town to pick up the cake I wanted, nope neither size available. I explained to the girl at the counter how I spent a day trying to order but didn't once get a call answered, and when I did speak with someone by bouncing to customer service they told me not to worry they would have the cake. The girl informed me if I came back in two hours they would have one ready, I explained I was not from London and couldn't waste two hours. She spoke to the baker's in the back and told me 20 mins and they would have one ready.

I wish I had gotten the girls name as she exemplified what and how customer service should be demonstrated. She solved a problem that wasn't hers. Thank you lovely lady in the head scarf, you are awesome. I made sure to thank her profusely for her help.

Somehow it was too much effort for the manager to take down my details and order for the simple task of reserving a cake. This is not customer service!

It appears the policy within is orders can only be done on line. This policy will cost you customer's. There's a myriad of older parton's out there who aren't proficient with on line shopping. Im not one of the latter but wasn't in a position to order on line as I recently was caught out with erroneous credit card charges and spent days rectifying and ordering new cards after ordering on line from a business that was reputable.hence my hesitancy to give out my CC info for the simple purchase of a cake.

As I order this specific cake at least three to four times a year and have for 15 years I will shop it elsewhere if I experience the same dead end order when trying to order next time.

Rainy day breakfast before running some errands in this part of town. Great food and service. Staff takes COVID precautions seriously. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh as well as cooked exactly as ordered.

Excellent place, bit expensive, but has lots of different foods and the bread is very fresh all the time.

I purchased the deluxe lasagna for a birthday party. It was most certainly the worst lasagna I’ve ever had. There was practically no sauce, meat or cheese in the layers of pasta. When you cut into a lasagna you want to see those delicious ingredients oozing out. There was none of that. Don’t waste your money.

I will not write anything special because I do not need to waste more time than I lost going to Angelos this time. Very bad experience with Italian custard with fresh fruit. The kiwi was not ready and it was hard to bite, (unpleasant sensation in the middle of a cake), the flavor of synthetic cream and pre-made box dough was enough. Unfortunately Angelos is not the same as before.

We recently used Carmelina from Angelos for our wedding cake and now highly recommend her to anyone looking. She made our exact wedding cake vision come to life so beautifully! And if you have never had Angelo’s cakes, they are delicious. They offer cake tasting, so you are able to try which one you love most. Thank you so much Carmelina

Amazing variety of produce, baked goods and meat. All the staff in the different areas are very kind and helpful.

I ordered an Italian custard cake for a birthday. Because my kids don't like kiwis I asked them to be removed from the top. This was done. I also asked that the top be fully coveted with strawberries and paid extra. This was not done. I was told extra fruit was added inside.not true. I 3as disappointed in the filling. I don't eat artificial cream so asked for whipping cream on the outside instead. I paid extra and it was done.however they also removed the custard filling and put a very small amount of whipping cream instead.not at all the same as with the custard. When I complained I was told that I could leave the cake. No apologies. I asked if the top could be filled with strawberries like I paid for and said I would come back later to pick it up and was told there would be another charge to do this.even though I had already paid for this previously! In the end I took the cake but I was very very disappointed in both quality and service. Beware. Double and triple check and take photos of what you want and you ordered. I would suggest not paying until pick up day if possible. Things have changed at Angelo's.sadly as a result of this experience will never order another cake here again.

Love this place. Their fresh baked bread and desserts are always amazing. Their premade pizzas are so easy to bake and are delicious. Unfortunately, to are a bit to far from where I live for me to be a regular customer.

Love the local grocery/bakery option.
Tiramisu & Strawberry Shortcake are a must try.

I visited Angelo’s Bakery last Sunday and during check out procedure I was overcharged twice. Specifically, for the loaf of sun-dried tomato – walnut bread normally priced at $5.25 I was charged over $13. This amount went through the register and it was required to pay. When I pointed out to the cashier, she corrected the amount but entered wrong number again, which was also higher, as the wrong item description was entered one more time. I pointed it out again, so she tried to find the right product code. In the meantime, the supervisor lady came by and she helped her to find the right product code and price. I also mentioned to the supervisor that due to the overcharge entered even twice the product should be at least discounted. The supervisor lady refused the request saying the cashier has a right to make a mistake and she has a right to be confused due to large number of customers served. I requested to talk to the manager saying that this approach is absolutely unacceptable, and customer cannot pay for any cashier mistakes. Cashier always can make a mistake, but the store needs to deal with this mistake properly as well – and the common practice would be to give at least the discount on the product which cost nota bene less than $10, like the other Canadian grocery stores do. Manager came over in about 2 minutes, and first thing he did, he turn his back to me, talking to the supervisor for about a minute. I asked him perhaps he could turn his face to me and talk to me first. Then, I described what happened asking if he can give me a discount. He replied bluntly it will not be any discounts, and if I want the discount I can go to another store. Not even single word of apology for the mistake or simple “I am sorry” from the manager or the supervisor.
I was stunned for a moment by insolence and rude behavior of the people who were supposed to deal with the customer at least with the polite manner. People, who had no idea about customer appreciation, respect, and fundamental principles of common curtesy. I have to mention that it was a second time I experienced rude behavior from the same manager also about product overcharge. First time I decided to let it go. But after second time I decided to make up the review – so all Angelo’s customers know what to expect from the management – be lucky if you get your money back in the case of overcharge and always check your receipt if you paid the right price – as the cashier due to his/her lack of training or inexperience may charge you triple product price. Do not bother with talking to the supervisor or manager as – they will not help you.
I have been a loyal Angelo’s customer for about 30 years and the personnel of the store was always helpful, kind, and polite – excluding the supervisor and manager mentioned above. Every product is most of times a great quality. The store has its own unique “spirit” and I loved to shop in there or have a lunch in the restaurant. After the last incident I was really inclined not to visit the Angelo’s anymore, but then I realized that 2 people should not spoil the image of the whole place that due to the effort of whole team of other people is otherwise a great one. Unless other unexpected and unpleasant events come up. Hopefully not.
From my perspective I would advise the owners to take a close look at the supervisor and manager mentioned above and draw relevant consequences. These people are not qualified to hold positions that require customer skills. These are just not the skills – it is the attitude and personal character – that should prevent this type of people from holding their positions – perhaps they can be good as a cheap work force or janitors – but NOT supervisor or manager as proven. Strongly recommended. I do not want to downgrade overall rating of the store to the minimum, as all other good factors have to be considered too. Please fix the specific management issue, as of currently it is outrageous and unacceptable.

Customer for the last 25yrs. I have always enjoyed going to Angelos because they had authentic Italian food. The deli sucks, the meat is paper thin even after several times asking for regular or thicker slices. If I am paying by weight, I’m not sure why they can’t provide the customer with a thicker slice as requested. Extremely disappointed and likely my last visit.

Suggestion, listen to the customers nobody wants paper thin see through meat.

What a great market! This was my first visit and I bought so much. The breads and desserts looked SO good. The variety of cheese and meats was fabulous. We were making a charcuterie board and found everything and then some!

Fresh bread and desserts are delicious! The salad bar has quite the variety. Their Tiramisu cake, as well as all of their pastries, are well worth the trip.

Great deli, pastry, and bread selection. Unique grocery items you can't find anywhere else in London.

Try the rum baba or the salsa dip.

My family loves Angelo's so much! My sister and I visit regularly and just love the selection of baked goods, but we love everything that they have to offer. The cheese curds are really good, and they have great take out foods. We also order different cakes from Angelo's for special occasions, and they have all been delicious so far. I 100% recommend them, they have great customer service on top of all of their wonderful foods and we just love them!

Must Must Must try their baked goods! Especially their breads! They are so delicious and flavourful. The breads they make here cannot be compared with other store bought breads or breads made in other grocery stores. Their breads have a nice somewhat crisp outside with a soft inside. I could just eat their bread on its own. I usually only come here for their bread but their pastries and the savory menus are delicious too.

I had the ricotta and cheese lasagna along with the beef lasagna and wow… one of the most delicious lasagnas I’ve ever had.

Very nice staff and good food. Cashiers are so friendly. However if you're buying hot food make sure one of the guys helps you. There's a middle eastern girl there that only fills up the containers half way. If you get her, keep an eye on what's she's doing and don't be afraid to tell her not to skimp. She literally counts the potatoes going into the container when everyone else piles it on.

We had Angelo's cater our wedding this past weekend and were blown away by the quality and variety of food, the service and the taste of the food itself was incredible. We've gone to Angelo's many times over the years and have always had great experiences and this was no exception. The staff were professional, quick and did a great job with the display of the food as well. Our guests were raving about the food and enjoyed every single bite. We will absolutely look to Angelo's in the future for catering of all kinds. Thank you for such a fabulous memory we get to share for years to come!

Fantastic selection of fresh produce, baked goods, and meat. Whenever I need help with selection, staff have been knowledgeable & helpful.

Had a cardboard box delivered for MD frm daughter in France. Very poor quality tulips wilted romaine salad thrown in the box.tried to call record ing

AMAZING desserts, I come from across town just for a slice of cheesecake when I'm feeling down! The prices are a bit high but definitely worth it. The only issue is that when it's busy the dessert counter is hectic and hard to see all the options, particularly with Covid distancing in place

I went there for cake and coffee i wished they had halal options in the store would be convenient for shoppers like myself

We often lunch here. Some healthier choices. Just wanted soup for lunch. 4 good choices. Comes with bread, margarine, water, ceramic bowl and real spoon. Good service and a nice place to eat.

Bad experience at this place, very inefficient breakfast system, my coffee arrives but the food did not, when the food arrived the coffee was cold, the order arrived wrong. We need to wait another 15 minutes for the correct one to arrive. I asked for an extra plate for my daughter to eat, and they said they could not bring.

Food is great but cashier is RUDE and 0% friendly I try to pay 5 dollars with coins and she was so mad. Will never go back that place

Great selection of bread, cheeses, and meats. The best in London in fact. You can find almost anything. Perfect place to get cheese for a raclette, or smoked ham for some sandwiches. Higher prices for higher quality.

Our favorite bakery for over more than 15 years. Once you try them i bet you will never feel like shopping for bread in any regular grocery store aisle.

I used to go shop and buy lunch at Angelos every single day. Their food quality was better back then but today, not so much anymore. Whenever I ordered the food, I could smell something weird to find out that they used the food from a week ago! Yuck! I always thought that their food was totally fresh but not anymore it seems. How can they serve customers the food when it's expired weeks ago! And another problem I see is how their employees aren't treated well either. I always see them get yelled at in front of customers like us when we order food. The place doesn't seem to have any management either which is a big problem for a place like this. As a customer, I totally understand the whole "customer is always right" motto but they should be treated well in my opinion because shouting and yelling in front of customers is pretty embarrassing. They seriously needs big help from professionals.

Great place to explore. They have tons of choices for bread, meats and cheese. Their display of Christmas goodies is always worth looking at.delicious chocolates from around the world.

Food not bad but for the price you pay not having free coffee refills it is not good. If you want a refill you have to pay

Always the meal stop after Costco in London! The smell of fresh bread greats you at the entrance door! The enormous selection of baked goods will keep your mouth watering!
Amazing pasta bar with more options than you can shake a stick at! Excellent selection of sandwiches plus wraps and you can have them grilled! The pizza bar is a huge hit with the family! Personal size pizza made the way you want it!
Oh and the gelato! Made on site!
There is only one downfall to Angelo's! That is that it is almost 3 hours away from my home!

Welcoming spot to shop and to stay and eat!

I know Angelo's for a long while, and I myself visit Angelo's a lot for cakes. It IS very good cakes and bakeries that never disappoint me. But, I have to say the customer service is not as good as its food. The lady who helped me at pastry was not helpful at all, asking me questions impatiently, let alone a smile on her face. I was placing an order for an 8'' customized birthday cake, the service from the lady made me feel I'm begging her to help, I paid $50 for the cake though. I went to Angelo's a lot before, but from now on, I will change my mind, and not recommend it to any of my friends.

This place has the most amazing pasta that they make right in front of you. I always get the gnocchi with a blend of pesto and blush and whatever they recommend to put in and it always tastes amazing. They also serve complimentary bread and butter with any meal. The price is really good, less than $10 for pasta unless you want to really amp up add ins. The only holdup is if it’s busy the service isn’t always the most organized, you kind of have to figure out where you are in line (because there’s not an actual line) and not let people cut in front of you. But the pasta is still very much worth it and the service is always friendly.

Wonderful. The best store bought cornbread I've ever had. Staff is multi-lingual. In-store restaurant selections are a bit bland, but very filling.

Love the bread and lunch meat from here! Cakes are great too.try the mocha banana cake it's delicious. I'm giving 3 stars because everytime I have been recently the staff are so rude. I was waiting for a sandwich from the hot bar and the lady completely ignored me and went to people who were in line way after me.even after I said I was waiting next. I didnt get surved until the supervisor came out and I told him I'd been skipped over. He was very friendly and apologetic.

This place has some of the best pastries. Their breads are nicely available for picking and even have the nutrition facts. I love this place. Ps their coffee is great!

My favourite in all of London, Ontario. The bread and pastry selection is fabulous, and our once-a-monthly cold-cut dinners would not be the same without Angelo’s cold cuts that are fresh and wonderful. The Polish ham is a must as is the gold prosciutto, Hungarian smoked sausage and the selection of cheeses from all over the world. If you want to dine in, there is a decent salad bar, soups, hot food section and of course pasta and pizza. Recently, they added a fresh vegetable section to the store as well, and their dry pasta selection is wonderful too. Last but not least, their gelato is a must.
