I had engine trouble this past summer. I was able to have the car diagnosed right away and they were able to fix the problem same day. I was so releived because it was a Friday so I had my vehicle for the weekend. I felt it was fairly priced. Nice staff. Will use them again.

Nothing but great things to say! This is a long time family business, and John, who runs it today, is wonderful.

Ladies, if you know nothing about cars and are scared to go to a mechanic for fear of being ripped off… Go to John. He is straightforward, fair, and won’t disregard your questions. After the few times I’ve been there, I’ve run my bill passed a family member out of town who have always said that what I was charged was fair.

I’ve since moved across town, however, still drive 40 minutes to drop off my car to John when needed.

These guys are great! Real good advice and they help you save a lot of time and money. Amazing service. Take your car here!

I have a past in the automotive field, I learned the ways shops will go about getting the better of their customers, and as far as I experienced, Angelo's does not use such methods. After a few services with them I brought my car with a very difficult issue. I just wanted tires replaced on the vehicle and an oil change however I had a check engine light that was triggered by a sensor in a very, very difficult area to get. Had I brought it to the dealer to be dealt with they would have to lower the entire rear axle to change one sensor. Ridiculous! I brought it to Angelo's and told them the issue and that if it came to it, that they do not drop the rear axle I'll find another way around the issue. I get a call at 3pm saying everything is fixed. To my surprised I showed up and the check engine light was gone, the sensor replaced and no axle lowered all on top of my other maintenance that was required! They were friendly, fast and reasonably priced. They did not try to upcharge me for anything. A shop like this is a rare find.

Had lower control arms replaced and a mandatory alignment done on a Hyundai Santa Fe a few years back. Paid $1000+ for this which seems very high. After getting the car back, immediately noticed problems with steering wheel way off center, wheel not returning to center automatically. This is something that should have been caught by the mechanics when testing. Took it back, they addressed most of the issues.
2 years later, the control arm bushing was once again broken.

I would not go back to this shop. Sean's auto across the street does better work in my opinion, at a lower price.

I found this shop because i purchased an older audi and needed a mechanic. The shop is very friendly, the staff know their cars, they were able to tell me what i needed to get done immediately, what could wait and what proactively I could fix to stop future problems.
There rates were fair and the dis the work on time and communicated with me throughout the process. I have found my shop for my car and would recommend Angelo's to others

I had to get the batteries of my 2 key fobs changed and they got me in right away and it took 5 minutes! They also didn’t charge me for the service, and that was my first time going there! I will definitely be recommending this place to others! Thanks so much

I’ve had repairs and maintenance done on my BMW several times in recent years at Angelo’s. Very honest, very easy to get appointment and very quick turnaround. I’ve also had second opinions from Angelo’s when my BMW dealer recommended (tried to fool me) several expensive unexpected repairs, and Angelo’s found I did not need those repairs and saved me thousands of dollars. John owns Angelo’s and is pleasant to deal with. I highly recommend the place.

I went to ask/book an appointment with them about a problem in my car. I explained the problem. I was told everyone had left for that day and was told to come on Monday. No appointment time. Just come and drop the car. I asked how do I go back to work or how long will it take. They said they don’t know. Poor customer service! At least give an appointment and check out my car and I will go to work after that. Will never recommend this place!

I was looking for a new mechanic. I was overcharged for my service. I felt I was getting ripped off asked around and realized it could have been done for $500 cheaper. Will not be going back.

We have been bringing both our cars here for years, very honest and trustworthy. John and his team are very professional and give good customer service!

I was quoted almost $1600.00 for work that I was able to get done elsewhere for significantly less than half the price I was quoted. I believe they were trying to take advantage of the fact that I am a woman and was upset about the situation. For example, they wanted to charge me $110.00 to tighten the heat shields, the place I found did it for free. They quoted my front brake pads and roters at $650.00 I got it done for $250.00. Plus there were other outrageous quotes. I previously got my thermostat changed by them and realized after the fact I was overcharged. Additionally, it turns out the coolant was weak and this was discovered by my new mechanic. I do not recommend this place, especially if you are a woman. Call around. There are plenty of honest, reliable mechanics who do not intend to take advantage and do not want to rip you off.

Very honest place, mechanics told me first thing that my battery wasnt grounded and that's why it couldn't start. They saved me quite a bit of money I think. Would recommend this place to any VW owner.

Car started groaning and grinding this week. It got really bad today, called Angelo's because they were close, they gave me a spot 30 min later. Within an hour and a half I was back in my car with a new wheel bearing. Car now drives great. Fast friendly service, cost for labour and parts was very fair.

Their service is awesome. They take care if their customers and dont force anything on you when you take your car in. Super guys, best place in ottawa to take your car.

Angelo's Service is very honest and have reasonable rates, I wanted to replace the CV axles on my Volvo S40 and i got a quote from multiple garages which were in the range of $1000-1300 + taxes but when i called John from Angelo's and asked him for a quote he quoted me $786 + taxes (1 year warranty) which was way cheaper than the prices from other garages. I also got my Steering rack replaced and his charges were very reasonable, turnaround time was very quick. Again when i had called other garages for the power steering leak they said we will have to check for leaks and shampoo the parts to detect which was like $100 in labor and then take it from there, John told me that if its something simple as a lose clamp etc we wont charge you for that. Very honest family owned garage and very affordable rates would definitely recommend Angelo's service.
