Love this course, love golf. It took us almost 7 hours to play. It was extremely slow and no Marshall's or anything to control pace of play. Very annoying to pay $175 and wait 20 minutes in between each hole
Professionally managed, affordable and lots of options to choose for celebrating functions like wedding, reception and all that one can. The service is prompt, efficient and with smiling face always. The bar has many options to enjoy. The Golf course is one of the best in GTA. It also has community hall as well as Library near by. Overall very good experience and highly recommend too enjoy.
Hadn't played here in over 5 years. Played the North. The course is still in immaculate shape and staff are great. Had a burger in the clubhouse after the round and it was pretty tasty.
Beautiful course. The greens where beat-up in some areas with people not fixing divots and worn areas. Food was good and all the staff could have been a little more friendly but not bad overal. Very nice clubhouse too.
We attended the Fairway of Lights festival event last night and it was a fantastic experience! A food truck serving funnel cakes, illuminated princesses wandering around, a caricaturist, Christmas carollers, an ice sculptor, and a violinist with fire dancers. The walking path had so many spots for photos and a beautiful display of colourful lights against the trees that reminded me of the Aurora borealis. Complete with a photoshoot with Santa! Oh, and let’s not forget to mention the free beer being handed out at the entrance. LOVED our visit to this event. Will definitely check it out next year:)
Just played a round at the south course. $165 all in and the greens were in terrible shape. I've played city courses that had better putting greens. The only saving grace was the pace of play was good. All in all, save your money and play elsewhere.
Love playing here every time. Gorgeous views punishing course. Very humbling experience The food and drinks is the best in the area too. But need some improvement in costumer service
Like most establishments post-COVID-19 reopening, they have a lot of retraining to do. Servers failed to ensure to take drink orders promptly. And one server refilled my husband’s gin and tonic with water (this can happen when you serve cocktails in water goblets and don’t add a lime to it). The wedding food was standard fair (beef was very dry). Except the spring roll tasted like the freezer and the “Roma” tomato salad hilariously contained many types of tomatoes, none of them were Roma.
Course was not in the shape it should be for a $145 round. Greens were very patchy on some holes. GPS on cart we had did not work. We saw cart girl twice all day. Very overpriced, course is not as well maintained as in the past.
Poor customer service and course not kept up - old garbage everywhere. People clearly don’t replace their divots. Guys at starter completely indifferent to customers
WORST customer service I had ever had! I don’t mind the LONG wait in the line but I mind very much the fact that the person who is on the gate lets people in as he chooses! Some people weren’t standing in line and he just let them in and when I asked to speak with a manager he rudely said he was the manager and was too busy to talk.even though he did nothing other than look at people’s papiers and he had other helpers to do that! Don’t waste your time or money on this.
The drive thru Christmas lights are amazing, just long lineup to go in, so suggest go early and you have to go through a bit faster than we would have liked
My sons loved the Christmas light show! Great for kids, as an adult little disappointing and could find 100 things to complain about.but be prepared for the long line up of cars moves rather quickly.waited about an hour in line before getting to the front gate for the 15 minute drive thru.for 45 dollars they could have added a bit more must purchase your tickets in advance
Beautiful course I was fortunate to photograph at a charity function for Kerry's Place Autism Services in Aurora, I was lucky enough to play a few holes and definitely recommend this venue for their quality food and service
I've had a great time at Angus Glen past 8 years (I keep returning!). I came from another club and found the staff and facility to be a welcoming, enjoyable atmosphere. Impressive Range. I play alot of 9 hole rounds as just not the time or capacity for the full tilt and the desk is very accommodating. It's a great spot for a round with friends, pop in for the lounge, etc.
We signed up our son for the private golf class. However, the instructor quitted on the 2nd session without notifying us until we tried to schedule for the next session. The instructor informed us that Angus Glen will contact us with the info for the new instructor. However, we heard nothing until the husband contacted them almost at the end of the season. So my son was disappointed with no golf lessons during this summer. We are so disappointed with the service at the price we paid for.
Well groomed and challenging golf course, I am happy when I make pars, only had birdies two or three times there. Last time we played there it was very congested and there were too many groups, so we had to wait on almost every hole. Best to come early on weekdays.
I had the pleasure of playing in a tournament on Angus Glen's South Course, host of many corporate tournaments, including The Canadian Open, and more recently, the World Junior Girls Tournament. I also co-hosted a small golf tournament, two days prior. The weather, on both days, was a contrast of extremes.
On Sunday, the day of my tournament, it was a lot cooler than anticipated. A couple of days later, in the tournament I played in, the temperature was a record high for October 1st. We enjoyed the warmth and blue skies while playing but it poured shortly after! It POURED!
On both days, the (South) course conditions were excellent, probably a reflection of the recent World Junior Girls Tournament. Lucky for us! The greens and fairways were well manicured and the pace of play was good.
On Sunday, the staffing was very low, resulting in a few complaints from our players. The halfway house was closed and most of our players never saw the lone beverage cart making its rounds. Had they known, they probably would have had something from the Silo Grill prior to playing. The service, dinner after the round, and overall experience, mostly made up for it.
Tuesday's round started with a variety of breakfast options, with something for everybody. Each player also received a $100 gift card for use in the Pro Shop. Yay!
With this being a much larger tournament, using both courses, the staffing was a lot better. From dropping off my golf bag, registering, starting the tournament, and even finishing, it was a really good experience. The GPS screen on the golf carts kept us informed on course conditions and even some impending bad weather towards the end of our round.
There were food and beverage stations on the course, provided by sponsors, and the beverage carts were out making the rounds. Everything was complimentary! Yay!
Following the round, there was a reception and prizing in the Great Hall. There were several food stations, offering something for everybody. It was all good!
It was a very well organized and enjoyable event. Angus Glen was a great venue. The golf course, hospitality service, and all the staff really delivered!
Disclaimer: I worked at Angus Glen for ten years, ending over three years ago. I still have friends working there but this review is unbiased. Working and attending an event are two separate experiences. It was nice being a guest!
Held a client event over breakfast with a golf clinic right after. Staff, venue, golf pros were amazing - food and room rental were great. Not one complaint - expect a return from us in the spring.
I don’t have many chances to escape the office and go golfing with my manager but today all the stars aligned!
It’s a small corporate golf event at this beautiful golf course and the day is shaping up to be a nice one; high of 25.
At this nice facility, we checked in and networked with other participants, enjoyed a BBQ lunch and listened to a keynote speaker before completing a 9-hole shotgun or Range Clinic option.
Challenging course with lots of natural beauty. Hosted the Canadian Open in 2002. Service is fantastic too. It has a mix of long par 5s and challenging par 3s and everything in between.
We arrived for an early tee off and the carts were already prepped with our names. We went to driving range while we waited and it was a good opportunity to practice on grass.
The carts were well equipped with ball and club cleaners and a GPS range finder screen that doubled as a map and scorecard. The cart let's you know how you are tracking for pace and being electric is also better for the environment. You have plenty of opportunity to buy beer. The cart passed us 5 times on the course.
Had an amazing game here recently with friends and colleagues. The course is beautiful with holes with different par levels making the course fun to play as well.
This is truly a gorgeous course! They offer 2 full 18 hole courses that are so very different. The north course offer a more links type experience with wider fairways and more bunkers whereas the south course twists and turns through the trees and around the amazing priperty much more. One of my favourite course to play in the GTA!
Fantastic course, brings novice players to their knees. Food is right in line for pricing. Drinks are not expensive. Great place to spend a day with your golf buddies and a challenge for a course.
Took my dad here for his birthday, I don't usually play. But he had a great time, it is a bit expensive. The clubhouse was nice, get to see the whole course. Solid drink menu too.
Unfortunately can only give 3 stars today. Poor place of play at 5hrs. Conditions could have been a bit better, in particular the greens. Definitely slower and bumpier than they should be at a premier facility in June. North course.
Easily the best course I've played. Really friendly staff and the course was fantastic. For the time of year I couldn't have asked for anything more. My new favourite.
Very nice and challenging course, exceptional conditions and friendly professional staff. Just too expensive, but many of these caliber are also too expensive in my opinion
