We celebrated a Birthday here yesterday. We got there at 6: 30 pm and they were very busy. We ordered appetizers grilled and fried calamari.oh boy so delicious. My husband had a veal chop.it was big and so tasty. I ordered the home made gnocchi and it melted in my mouth. Our kids had pizza and they loved it! The portions were so generous. The waitstaff were welcoming and prompt. I would highly recommend this restaurant! We will be back soon! We had a beautiful evening and a birthday to remember. Keep up the great work! Excellent

I just wanted to take a minute to thank Johnny and his team for such a wonderful meal this evening! We were a group of 10 but the server did an amazing job of ensuring we all had what we needed and when we needed it, and the restaurant was packed! Their attention to detail and the service was second to none.

Now, a special shout out to our server, whose name I did not get - and that is absolutely my bad - when I asked about gluten free options - she thanked me so she could let the Chef know as she cooks the pasta in a separate pot - so for those with celiac - I do think that this is more than a safe place for you to eat and they have grilled calamari that is a must have!

Word around the table is their Margherita Pizza, and their meatballs are a must try - and that you can’t leave without trying the Tiramisu!

We are already planning our next dinner and who we can introduce to this wonderful gem! If you are going on the weekend - be sure to make a reservation as unfortunately some could not be accommodated!

To forget, a glass of drinkable wine and the chicken cutlet looked like the frozen industrial ones.

Had our daughters Communion celebration here and can't express how happy we were with our decision. The owner John made the whole experience painless and followed up with us several times to make sure we were ready to go the day of. The quoted price per plate was lower than expected and it included one of the best veal chops I've had in a long time. Huge portion and cooked perfectly. Our guests were definitely satisfied and we feel like we definitely got more value than what we paid for.

Wow! This restaurant is a hidden gem! We were there with friends and the food was so delicious. I had the braised short ribs OMG so tender you don't need a knife! They have a new chef from Italy and he greated us at our table. Keep up the great work! We'll definitely be back!

We had heard from our friends and colleagues that Anna Maria Trattoria was an excellent home style Italian restaurant with great food and very generous portions. We recently attended a company Christmas party and it was exactly what we expected and more. The food was authentic and the portions were extremely generous. The staff were very respectful and very friendly. Our waiter was named Sam and his menu recommendations were perfect. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be returning in the near future.

We had a beautiful experience at Anna Maria Trattoria on Saturday night! They had a DJ that played all types of music. The food was so delicious and the staff were very friendly. Highly recommend!

This restaurant feels very authentic- the food is great and the service is great. The owner makes an effort to personally talk to you and ask how your meal is. It gets busy but that is a testament to the food and service. Very pleasant and hard working staff.

Our group had a terrible experience, perhaps it was an off night based on the other reviews. It was our family Christmas dinner and sadly we expected more. We weren't made aware of our time limit until we sat down. Our main courses came out late, the last main dish was served 20 minutes after the first. Dishes were served without sides. At one point we were completely blocked in by the table setup to allow those standing to sit down. We had to serve our own coffees as there wasn't a lane for our server to access our table. We would've appreciated a heads up on the amount of time alloted to our group. Grateful the manager went to explain to the waiting guests that we stayed too late as the dirty looks and rude comments were appreciated when leaving. Overall disappointed and wouldn't recommend.

Honest, down-to-earth italian food. Forget other pretentious italian places around the neighborhood - just come here for a familiar and affordable meal, generous portions, and welcoming staff.

Pastas and pizzas are the focus, not a lot of straight fish or meat options. Allows them to focus on what they’re good at.

This was my first time here and we enjoyed an authentic Italian meal. There were eight people in our party. Our seats were a bit cramped as we were sandwiched between the bar and kitchen but that didn’t take away from our enjoyment. The dj played great music which resulted in a couple of us getting up and working off pur amazing meal. Of course we didn’t stop until we had the other tables and staff joining our impromptu party. What a blast. The servers, cooks and owners were so great. Our gnocchi was made to perfection and our salmon was delicious. Of course we started with yummy calamari, crunchy bruschetta and salami/olives/veggies/cheese board. Those cooked olives were to die for! So despite the tight quarters, we managed to eat, drink and damce the night away! Thanks for the great evening!

Food was great, we were greeted by a friendly atmosphere and staff. The complimentary bread with hot oil was a nice touch. Will definitely come back again

I went to the restaurant again yesterday with my husband for dinner. My husband had the Alla Calabrese pizza and it was absolutely amazing cooked to perfection! I had the gnocchi with rose sauce and it was beyond delicious! I would highly recommend that you go and eat there. You definitely won't be disappointed! Can't wait till Friday to go back:)

We came in for a late dinner during week. The late closing hours is a plus. The food was great and the dessert (tiramisu) was delicious. I gave 4* only because unfortunately there were flies flying around our table during the whole dinner - and we were sitting indoors.

This is by far the best and most authentic Italian I have ever had.the ambiance in here is so cute.the staff is friendly.portions are huge but I'm pretty sure you'll finish bc its so good!

I used to love this place but now a days I am not sure. Came here for my wedding anniversary and was asked to wait 30 minutes after making reservations. Gave them another chance and came for dinner but service is still poor. Staff also seemed tired and over worked. I miss the warm family feel that used to be there. This will be the last time I come here. It’s too bad as I love to support mama & papa shops.

First time patron at Anna Maria Trattoria. Visited on a Tuesday for lunch with a group of 6. Made reservations and when we arrived we were greeted and given a choice of tables. Starter with antipasto and calamari. Very generous portions and came out quickly. Both were delicious, I was a big fan of the calamari. I personally ordered the gnocchi with meat sauce and I was pleasantly surprised with the flavour and taste, just like Nonna's! I was more surprised by the massive amount of Gnocchi in the dish! I could not finish the serving, barely made a dent. All in all great place, delicious food and very good service. Will go back for sure

Rapini Sausage Pizza is a gift from above. What a gem! The menu has a bunch of great options but I’m always coming back for the pizza. The staff are great too and if you’re dining in, it’s quaint and very clean

My wife and I tried this amazing restaurant when we came down to the city. We can’t say enough about this off the beaten track restaurant. From the moment we entered, the service was attentive and polite. Our server Amanda was great. Instantly made to feel at home. Then the food. One word - Scrumptious. We had the veal parmigiana and the homemade gnocchi. The complimentary fresh and crusty bread served with olive oil and balsamic was delish. Overall, 5 stars all around! You won’t be disappointed! Buon appetite!

I was attracted to this place simply because of its family owners and I can taste the love in the cooking. The pasta is delicious, with interesting combinations of ingredients not typical of a North American style Italian restaurant. Favourites were the fried calamari, anchovies and olives pasta, and the gnocchi. We still need to try their pizza!

The menu selection was quite good. They accommodated our large party readily and our food was served quickly. The serving were generous and the food was delicious.

Really bad customer service. We called several times to see if they have a table but no one was answering. They didnt even have an online reservation service. It was 4: 30pm so we just went and the restaurant had their “open” sign even off too. I told them i called several times but no one answered but they didnt apologize but just said they have no tables. Never tried but will never come back to try in the future and will never recommend to anyone. Will share our bad experience.

This is the quintessential Italian-place-in-an-industrial spot-in-Woodbridge (The map says Vaughan but the attitude says Woodbridge). It's like a hug from a Nonna. The food doesn't miss a beat, I'd say go for lunch but you're going to want a glass of wine and a nap after. Nonna insists on it.

We ordered the takeout. Placed an order over the phone. Very friendly owner. The order was ready on time. It was still warm when we brought it home. Everything we ordered was freshly made and very tasty: grilled calamari, veal chop, tilapia. Special thx for suppa de peace. It was amazing. Very large portion of seafood in super Yammy sauce. We had excellent dinner. Will definitely come back. The place is highly recommended.

My girlfriends and I went out for a girl's night and I chose this place. The staff were polite and accommodating. I ordered the lamb with pasta and it was succulent and tasty. I'm a very picky eater and when I say it's good, it is. My only complaint is that the food took a bit long to arrive, but it was well worth the wait.

I have eaten here many times over the last several years and the authentic Italian menu is always excellent. Friendly efficient staff. Good size portions. You will want to lick your plate when you are finished!

Great food, great service. Their pizza with the red peppers is amazing. Shared a bunch of pastas with my group and all were delicious. Servings are generous too. For dessert i recommend their tiramisu.

Food was not bad and atmosphere was cool. The service was very poor at lunch during the work week. They only have 1 waiter for the entire restaurant. It took about 25 mins to be spoken to and 1 hour until we got our food.

The food was pretty good and the portions were more then I expected. The service however made me a little uncomfortable especially when we just walked in, they seemed a bit cold and were trying to rush us out. The server who took our order was nice so it made up for the awkward vibe.

Place was packed for lunch glad we reserved a table! Fresh food, flavour packed, great service. Definite return if in the area (pizza was super). Watch the oil and pepper dip for their fresh bread it has a bite)!

Family run business with no fuss Italian food. Nice big portions, pasta cooked perfectly and everything tasted fresh. The meatballs were unbelievable and you should get those to start!

Even though the kitchen fans failed and chef and staff were sweltering, they persevered.with a smile. Staff served incredible meals, servings were huge and tasty. A small intimate restaurant with a great selection. Even a wide selection of house wines by the glass, half and litre. This is one of the best Italian restaurants in the GTA. The food is delicious and the service is great. It's like being in Italy!

I ordered Anna Maria's Gnocchi with the Rose Vodka rose.and let me tell you. I ate so much I almost puked. I couldn't stop! The sauce was absolutely delicious. And the gnocchi almost melted in your mouth.

To top it all off, our waiter (I can't remember his name for the life of me) was great. Very funny, and ensured we were all taken care of. Felt very homey!

Will definitely go again.
