Apotheca Compounding Pharmacy

Keeping the fact that I was charged a 500% markup in undisclosed service fees on my prescription for the moment aside, this review and rating is solely based on the discriminatory phone conversation that I had today with, as per the pharmacy, the person in charge/pharmacist.
The answers received today were prefaced with an explanation of how things were done in Canada, and an acknowledgment that she was not aware how other countries functioned.
At no point did I inquire about pharmaceutical procedures in Canada or elsewhere, and the discriminatory remarks made were based on my name and accent.
This has been a convenient neighbourhood pharmacy, and the experiences in the past have been wonderful.
However, it seems that currently, if categorized under a certain race/ethnicity, you not only receive a free lecture in Canadian policies but are advised to fill your prescription at Costco.
A shame.

An amazing pharmacy with a great range of products and services. The staff is like no other; they are incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and are always ready to assist you. I always feel welcomed and well taken care of when visiting this pharmacy. 10/10 recommend.

The pharmacy said prescription would be ready Saturday morning - drove an hour and a half round trip (since they do not answer the phone) to find out that they had lied and that it wouldn’t be ready till Tuesday. No apologies.

I've used Apotheca for flu shots for several years, especially because they are one of the only pharmacies to bring in the flumist nasal spray, which my needle-averse kid appreciates. They are always friendly and the shop is small but nicely designed and very clean. Highly recommend it!

I wish I had asked for a name so I could remember who helped me, but honestly the entire team is just incredible. I was stressed out and I spoke to the team about my situation - they went above and beyond to make sure I got the medication I needed in time.
