Apple Hair Salon is the best spot in Guelph for a quality cut. I've had various members of the team cut my hair and each time I was very happy with the results. Great service and great people!

This was my first time going to a new salon in about 7 years, and let me just say, if you are like me and anxiety ridden about getting your hair done by someone new - come here! Riley did a phenomenal job cutting and styling my hair, I cannot thank her enough. She listened to every single thing I said, then gave me advice and suggestions based on my requests and ideas, not just about the cut I wanted but also for hair care in general. It was seriously such a wonderful experience, in literally every way. I will definitely be coming back!

I don't know where to start. I'm almost 40 and I don't trust my hair with just anyone but the moment I met Ian we clicked. Vibes and time are important! He is a whole vibe and he's fast! My hair loves him and I continue to be impressed with him! Again, I don't trust just anyone with my hair. Thanks you for being you Ian!

Miyah has been doing my hair for about a year now and she is amazing. She rescued my bangs from a horrible bang trim at another salon and has since cut, styled and balayaged my hair. She is so lovely and does an amazing job. I always love going to Apple Salon.

I have been going to Apple Salon since I was a kid. Iside is amazing and she has wonderful people that work with her. I always feel great when I leave my appointment! My daughter also had her haircut by Iside. It's becoming a family tradition!

I live in Toronto and truthfully, have never been fully comfortable with my hair salon experiences in the city. I felt like just because I wasn't going in to get the most expensive services, I was somehow not worth as much effort. I have long hair and not a lot of knowledge on how to take care of it, so I made an appointment with Maggie to get some guidance. She was so warm and welcoming, and answered every question I had without making me feel like I should have known the answer already. She gave me great directions and I left the salon feeling much more confident than I did when I went in. I can't begin to thank all the staff enough for that. Everyone was so polite and helpful and I just can't say enough good things about Maggie and the rest of the Apple salon team.

I went to Apple salon (first time) to have my grown-out roots blended into my platinum hair and a layered trim. Everyone is friendly and accommodating and the salon is beautiful and clean.

My hair stylist was a lovely person, but I’m used to having my hair done by a more experienced stylist… they did blend the roots into my platinum for a natural look, but I ended up looking brassy and not pearly at all… also they cut off more length than I was expecting and I just feel like it’s at an awkward length now. I’m used to leaving the salon feeling like my hair is flirty and fun and this time my hair feels dated and average…

If you’re picky about your blonde, maybe go somewhere else or ask for the top level person who’s specialty is colour… Going to take some biotin now and pray to the hair gods that it grows out quickly

I’m a simple guy and wanted a simple cut - after 3 years without touching it. I also didn’t want a conventional cut and Iain at Apple listened to my concerns and needs and produced atop my head exactly what I asked for. He and the staff are knowledgeable, personable, and professional - and far cheaper than a therapist yet weirdly easier to talk to!

After so many years without a cut I asked about products as a guy with no clue and Iain gave great advice. The shop itself has a cool history and an environmentally friendly bend as well which is a huge plus in my book. Look for the old scissors on the wall and the framed black and white photos - there’s a story there.

Ah. And getting your hair washed and the scalp massage is worth the price of admission if nothing else.

I was in need of a new hairstylist so I tried Apple. Stephanie was very welcoming and friendly, she took the time to ask me questions about my hair and what I was looking to do with the cut and style. She made recommendations and made me feel very comfortable. The products she used on my hair were so lovely I even purchased them. The salon has a real charm about it. I love my cut and style. I will go back and I will recommend it to everyone I know.

I was recommended to come here by everyone I asked when I was looking to get my hair done for the first time! After my first appointment there was miscommunication and I was not 100% happy with how my colour had turned out, but they did the absolute best to find a solution with me and I appreciate it whole heartedly. I went back in just for a retone with Steph and will be returning for another one once this has expired & any other hair needs I have, she did an amazing job! Thank you x a million

Have tried a lot of places in Guelph and was recommended to go Apple Salon and couldn't be happier with the results. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Iside made me feel comfortable and relaxed right away and did a great job styling my unforgiving dead straight Asian hair lol. Would recommend coming in

I always have a great experience, this time did not disappoint. My hair looks great, it’s gotten a lot healthier thanks to the advice I’ve gotten from Ian. Today he had the added difficulty of having to be careful around my new cartilage piercing and he was great, didn’t touch my ear and just made it work. He really listens to what I want and I trust his advice and opinion completely. I’ve been recommending the salon to friends since my first visit and will continue to do so!

I needed a new hair salon and I'm so happy I chose Apple Salon! The atmosphere was super relaxed and friendly. Miyah did an amazing job on my hair and gave me exactly what I wanted done! She was very professional and made me feel comfortable. I will definitely be returning.

The stylist was so sweet, and very good at her job. I got an intermediate stylist, basic cut and style, I think the cost is very reasonable! This was before the lock down (a month ago?), but I'll continue going back for my hair needs.

Kate SAVED my trainwreck of a lockdown box dye disaster. I box dyed dark brown over previously bleached hair and then used colour remover on my hair and got a patchy mix of ginger, brunette and yellow. In one session Kate took me to a full light seamless blonde and its still healthy! Srsly go here if ur gunna go blonde!

I got a balayage done by Miyah today and she was awesome! She did exactly what I had envisioned and was so nice. It was my first time at the salon and was blown away, highly recommend!

I've had my hair coloured by Kate several times over the past year and a half, and every time the cut and colour is beautiful and my hair feels so healthy! The first picture is from when Kate fixed my hair after I had a bad experience at another salon. The second picture is my most recent cut & balayage! I love the way she always blends the colour perfectly and takes her time to style it beautifully. I highly highly recommend Kate, she is so sweet and talented!

First time visiting this salon. All of the staff were very friendly.
My stylist listened to the things I was wanted my the resulting style and gave me the perfect style based on that information.

The salon was spacious open and inviting. It is wheelchair accessible.

This is a great place for colour and hair cuts. The owner, Isidee, is fantastic! Very friendly, sensitive, and attentive service. Charming atmosphere, located in a lovely century historic building. The salon is cleaned regularly and carefully follows Covid protocols to ensure safety of customers. I highly recommend Apple Salon!

Everything that I was looking to be done, was done to the TEA. My girl, Kate, did such an amazing job! She was so nice, informative, and helpful during the entire process. She made it look so effortless. Not only her, but the rest of the staff were absolutely sweet and they even took care of my dog while I was getting my hair done. They are such gems and my hair went from dark, dark, dark brown to a beautiful soft, ashy brown. I’m in love with everything that they do, and I cannot wait to come back again!

Just wow! My usual salon did not make it through covid and I was nervous to go somewhere else especially since I planned to go from dark brown to blonde.
I am so happy my coworker recommended Apple Salon! Kate was amazing and so patient. I was there for 3.5 hours and not once did she make me feel like she was anything less than happy to be there.
Somehow she was able to make my now bleached and toned hair to feel healthier than when I went in.
I could not recommend them more!

I appreciate the effort that my stylist put in during my second appointment to fix my hair. Unfortunately, I feel like we were on different pages from the start of my first appointment. I was very clear about what look I wanted with several pictures of exactly that, but the outcome was much different. I would have appreciated some consultation on how short the cut would be prior to making the first cut or at least some notification that my neck was going to be shaved - that was not something that we had discussed at all.
If you're someone looking for bright blonde balayage/highlights, make sure you interject if the stylist wants to remove foils after 15 min, as this happened during both of my appointments and my hair is not nearly as bright as I had asked for. The salon does use nice, clean products and they have many skilled stylist, but I think understanding what a client wants and making decisions with them throughout the appointment is something that was definitely lacking in my experience here.

Maggie always makes my hair look great. The salon is warm and pretty and they do post-cut bang trims for free.

First time coming to this awesome salon for a men's haircut. The staff was superb. Charlotte cut my hair and it was perfect. I haven't had a hair cutter with as great of service and skill as she cut my hair style better than anyone else ever has. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Bravo!

Shout out to Lindsay who saved my hair. They took me in for a last min apt and fixed my hair one day before a wedding. My hair was originally purple orange pink and brown. It was dead and they brought it back to life. One of the most amazing colour corrections I have ever had. I posted pics of my hair to show how incredible the change was. The best salon in Guelph! Great atmosphere and wonderful staff. The original vintage chairs and wooden floors create an atmosphere of an old school barber shop. All the ladies are very talented. You can be sure that they’ll give you a hairstyle of your dream, 10/10!

I’m very happy with the treatment I received at Apple Hair Salon. I have difficult to cut hair and Charlotte gave me a beautiful cut exactly as I asked. The staff have created the perfect salon experience and made me feel like a royalty.

I moved to Guelph 21 years ago. Throughout the year I went to numerous Salons in Guelph only to be unhappy and disappointed by the outcome of my haircut and/or colour as the stylist was not listening to my requests as I'm very particular with my hair.
Then I was referred to Iside by a new friend I had met.: D Iside not only listens to me she gives me great/honest advice as to what colours and cuts would look best on me. In the 20years that she has been my stylist I have never been disappointed. I always leave Apple Salon looking and feeling young and beautiful. <3
Now that Iside knows me so well when I go in for my appointment I just say "do your magic". And she does.: D xxoo
