Applebee's Grill + Bar

Food was not good. Ordered 4 cheese macaroni which was like day old kraft dinner. Prices way too high for quality of food. Service was subpar. Had to keep flagging down our server.

Quick lunch with the family. The server was exceptionally friendly and attentive. Food did not take long. Food was good. The portion of the bourbon chicken and shrimp dish was a bit small.

Have to say it was dissapointing. The dry ribs my wife and I had for appetizers was good but the portion size a little on the small side for $12.99. I found my steak to be very bland, not very tasty at all. My wife didn't care too much for the steak in hers either and the picture in the menu doesn't compare to the meal she got. The service was on point though. But not worth the overall cost.

Much better experience this around where the food is concerned. Had the spicy popcorn shrimp for appetizer. Not spicy at all more on the sweet side but was very good. The rib-let's entree was nice and meaty perfectly done not hard or chewing. The only thing that wasn't good was the side of coleslaw which a lot of restaurants don't do right. Finished off with the Dulce De Leche cheesecake, a hit most definitely. Glad to see the improvement and hope you guys keep it up. Competition is very tough so you have to maintain a good standard. That's why I changed my rating to a 4 star.

Lots of tasty and exciting menu options. Exceptional service from Payton.above and beyond. Food came fast, was hot and fresh and tasted amazing. Huge portion sizes had us skipping dessert. Drinks were spectacular! Clean, fun atmosphere made for a great dining experience.

Had a great evening. They acknowledged my Mom's Birthday. The food was so fresh and good. The waitress was great, attentive, and efficient. Looking forward to my next visit

Like Applebee's but very disappointed this particular location is not open for lunch except on the Weekend. Will have to find another restuarant in the area for lunch.

Portion were terrible. And the service was slow. Ordered the chicken and shrimp dinner and ny chicken was smaller than a McDonald's chicken nugget. My sides were served wrong and had to be corrected. Oh and it took us over an hour to get our food when the place was empty.

If your looking for bland every day dinner type food then Applebee’s is for you. It wasn’t my first time there at this location in Ajax, I was there about 8 or 9 years ago and left with that same impression at the time. I guess I thought I would give them a second try but as it turns out it was the same bland kinda food. I ordered A chicken noodle soup that basically looked and tasted like it was made yesterday, the noodles were way over cooked as if it sat in that pot for days. My girl friend ordered wings that came to the table cold, for me I ordered shrimp and chicken on a hot plate and it wasn’t too bad. The commercials are great and the food looks wonderful but in real life we’ll it ain’t. For $60 bucks I should have gone elsewhere.

We stopped by for a quick bite and the place was pretty empty so we thought we would get a table quickly, but there were few ppl waiting before us so we were told to wait outside. So we went outside and did not come back.

My food was really good my mother in law's food was fairly good but my wife's food was a little burnt and petas were very dry we're very dry and somewhere hard should have called the Server over but didn't 1st time it was a bad meal meal for them

I missed at Applebee's in Ajax instead of Mississauga. Mississauga branch is bankrupt. You must visited at Ajax, otherwise it will closed again. Go get them. A reminder "2 for $54". Just right.

This Applebee's has a nice sunny patio and is open for dining inside. The wait staff were good. The food is a nice selection. The portions were a pleasant surprise. We dined as a group in the fall and there were a lot of hornets. Some met an untimely end in the remnants of my drink.

Possibly some of the best service my family has gotten! The food was delicious, the pricing was fairly standard, and there were plenty of really unique options, including crazy food mixes that I had never heard of, so it was cool trying new things! I wish the patio set up was a bit more forgiving in terms of the sun.

Outstanding customer service by the staff last night. They replaced my granddaughter's dinner without hesitation when she didn't like what she ordered. Fast friendly service by staff that enjoyed their jobs. Thank you for a great dining experience.

Ordered take out and everything was fresh, hot and delicious! I was afraid the food would get soggy but the sturdy recyclable box was great to keep it from sogging. Just as delicious as dining in.

We visited Applebee's patio when it opened based on the COVID-19 rules. Food tasted good and service was great. The quesadia burger is good and flavourful, but a little messy. I'd still order it again:)

It's our first time in a restaurant since the pandemic started. The patio was really nice, the food was delicious and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

When we are in Ajax we go to to Applebee's but today I'm not sure I'm going back.
WHY a trio kept complaining about the tortilla, she wanted fresh Naan instead, then the gingerale had too much ice, but drank it all, the food was not up challenge. The manager came up and threw the poor waitress under the bus.
ONE: the waitress explain to them in details even the bacon in sauce and its even on the menu. Even one of trio decide nope a fan of the meal and ask change too. When the meal came back they complained but to themselves. Even shooed the waitress when age asked if everything was ok. It's the fact they complained all the thru the meal, it the fact the manager should have protect her waitress and it should have been private. Un.professional

Everything was great. The portions were generous enough for someone big as me to be full. The garlic steak tips are amazing! If I lived closer I would be a regular but for now I can only come occasionally on weekends.

Ignoring a friend's opinion I went to Applebee's and ordered anyway. Glad I did. The food was amazing and the service was exceptional. I highly recommend that you try their sumptuous food. You will not regret it. I wish I could give them more stars. So in my review take two thumbs and a big toe.

Food was really good. Portion size was great. It’s sad that they don’t serve Belgian Moon. Anyways customer service was fab!

Last week we ordered from Applebee’s and they did a fantastic job. Everything was cooked and boxed to perfection. We ordered the fish tacos (spicy), the four mac and cheese, the fiesta chicken and steak with parmesan cheese and shrimps with a side salade spring mix. I must admit the salade was almost as good at the steak. I know your thinking how did he just compare a salade to a steak, but I must inform you that it was. For those that like the fiesta chicken they have to rice in stock again with the corn chips. The Mac and cheese is a little pricey but my little guy loves it so this makes it okay, and he always finishes it so no complaints. Thanks for knocking it out of the park for us Applebee’s.

Everyone is very friendly. Food is good. It's our little secret place. My family and friends meet here for lunch. I'm very comfortable having dinner alone here. We were skeptical for years. One snowy day all restaurants were closing but Applebee's was open. We tried it We were happy and very surprised how much we enjoyed this place.

My husband works in the area so I had him do takeout one night on his way home. We tried 3 different dishes including the ribs, steak & chicken + shrimp and loved every single thing. I haven’t been to Applebee’s in years so it was a nostalgic treat and I was glad to see that the taste, menu & customer service were still what I remembered and more. They’re operating on an alternative menu due to covid so I’ve added pictures of that. With their current couples/ family deal it’s totally worth a visit if you want a night off from cooking while keeping it cost effective.

The service and the food was good, The ambience and location makes for a nice, accessible stop for business or pleasure.

Service was ok my mom's food was great she had no complaints about her Sheppard's pie and martini
Now on the other hand I ordered a Pina colada but it tasted sour and the drink presentation was bland boring
They didn't put a cherry or strawberry on a toothpick and try to make it look like I wanted to enjoy the drink
I ordered the loaded chicken fajita
The sourcream tasted old the green gaucacame sauce was a little on the sour side
The chicken was good the rice was good but way too many sliced peppers.
I don't think I'll return back though

Highlight of the evening was the friendliness and helpfulness of the waitress. She seemed to be very comfortable and natural at it.
I had a great meal - the BBQ Pulled Pork tacos, however there's never as much meat in the food delivered (at ANY restaurant) as there is in the picture in the menu. Priced reasonably but don't make the same mistake I did and order a side of coleslaw when it already comes with coleslaw. Somehow I missed this in the description and unfortunately the waitress (her only fault) didn't point it out to me.
My companion had the Cowboy Burger but said he would never order it again - too salty. Ingredients all of the salty variety, on top of ordering fries especially which are prone to saltiness. His burger sure did look good though! Hand formed patties by the look of it.
The worst part was the order of 10 wings I asked for to go, for my son. When I got home with them, the wings were scrawny little things and came with 3 little celery sticks and ranch dressing. So not worth the $16 it cost. Disappointment. My son didn't enjoy them because there was no meat.
Companion's coffee was so-so.but we realize it's not a 'coffee' type of place. Alcoholic beverages are very reasonably priced.
Atmosphere was nice, moderately busy for a Tuesday evening. Bathroom not so clean.
I would go back and either order those tacos, or maybe the fish tacos or a couple of other things that sounded yummy.

Apple bees is always a good choice when we just want comfort food! My usual go to meal is the fiesta lime chicken. *drools* soo yummy! Today Apple bees had a special going on of all you can eat shrimp, chicken tenders and riblets. It was literally all you can eat! I looove chicken tenders and they were really good, the shrimp was great too! Our server Krystina was sooo sooo amazing! She was incredibly nice and attentive to us, was ready to take our next order. She offered me different sauces each time and always checked in to make sure we liked everything. We were stuffed, really good special. We will of course be back:) hope to get Krystina again!

Friendly staff and good service! Food was enjoyable. From my experience I would suggest that this restaurant is great if you have small children!

The service became so poor there.
On Saturday June 15, I went to the restaurant ordered some stuff to take out, after waiting 30 min they brought my stuff.when I got home I found they forgot dish that I already pay for it, I called them and lady answered me without apologize and said come back to get it. I was so upset from the replay and that's not first time they forgot stuff or reply rude.

Excellent selection of popular American dishes with themed specials. Portion size is average and priced a little more than the average sports bar. Considering locations are few and far between, it's a treat to experience this US based restaurant in the GTA.

Take it off my bill and sat there while everyone else ate. The prime rib penne pasta was awful. The meat tasted like rubber. I made them

A separate menu for fajitas shown on a hot sizzling skillet and the food was not hot or sizzling when it came out. Lukewarm at best. Service was good but definitely not the same experience food wise as the many locations I've been to in Southern Cali.

Good welcome upon entering. We both ordered bourbon steak with lots of Cajun spice with garlic smashed potatoes and both received breakfast like potatoes. The steak was cooked to our liking but not that tender for the price charged and the spices were almost inexistant, not like in the states where you really can enjoy the spices. The waitress was good and friendly even though she made the potatoes mistake. So we didn't bother to tell her.

The wait was extremely long and in the end the food was ok. The customer service was quite nice.our waitress was kind to us and she was the only thing there that deserves a 4 star or better. 2 stars overall.

Very disappointing. Not like States at all. Everything except the steak tasted like microwave food. Avoid the pasta at all costs. Waitresses were nice and very friendly. Would not recommend. Wasted $150 and threw out 80% of our food. Do not recommend this place at all. Everything tasted like expensive microwave food.

The food is okay but the space between the table and chairs and so close that my poor brother in law could hardly sit. I had to pull the table closer to me so I had it close to my chest but at least my sister and him were able to sit a bit better. Not sure if that was done deliberately to fit more tables and chairs but the comfort of their customers need to be considered. The waitress though was pleasant.

The service was good and the prices were not too bad but the food was just okay. The food looks so different from the pictures in the menu. We got the oreo churros which we were very excited about but they were hard and crumbly, not really like a real churro. And the ice cream that came with the dessert was the size of one of the mini churros, not enough for the whole dessert at all and the ice cream was half melted.

Applebee's has a very tasty menu, a little fattening if you're not careful, staff are super friendly, and it's a good size restaurant and always get a seat. I love their oriental chicken, and their lime chicken. Love their flavours. Their black and blue burger is so good, I salivate at the thought of it. I highly recommend this location have been going for years.

We waited almost an hour for our food. It was cold and my bread was burnt. Pasta was not good at all. The star is pretty much for the mashed potatoes on my boyfriends plate. His steak was cold too. I never seen him not finish a steak.

The early bird special was not up to par and the lady hostes agreed. I hope this was drawn to the kitchen's attention

Love the new menu and exceptional value for your money. The 3 course promotion currently is the 2nd best promotion in Durham region. Follow me and learn which restaurant has the best promotion.

First time in years. Service was very good. My crispy chicken orential salad was supurb. I will go back when in the area.

Service next to none but can't blame the waitress the place is under staffed. Food was ok not amazong. Portion shrink like no tomorrow and for the price it is not good value like it used to be anymore. Would I recommend it? It is a definitely no. There are way better restaurant in the area.

Waitress wasn't overy friendly. Had the stir fry which tasted fake. Tasted like uncle Ben's boil in bag rice, not great quality chicken. I suspect frozen veggies were used. Too bad, normally a stir fry is a safe bet.

Food was good. Portions are ok. Would have preferred 2 sides with main meals as is the norm. Kids menu was great. Had a wide variety and portions were good too. Brownies were out on the night we were there and they compensated by giving another dessert bite size. Good service.

Pretty dead. Waitresses were timely and good. The damn bartender disappeared or was off so the the waitresses had to step up. Food is typical franchise food. Unless you sit at bar no real clear view of tvs. Franchise prices, two for specials and so forth.

The restaurant is really amazing with a splendid ambience. The dishes served were really delicious and the waitress was super friendly.

I have dined here a few times. I had great experiences and not so good ones. The food is hit or miss this why the 3 stars. We had a birthday celebration with 7 of us. They accommodated us nicely. The staff was friendly the food was meh.

Pasta was overcooked, was offered a second dish which tasted awful. Our appetizer was so-so.entree salad was below average.

Service was slow. Brought my tea but no teabag. Food was mediocre at best. I had the grilled bruschetta chicken. Definitely not fresh chicken, too many almonds and horribly bland. This place use to be busy every day of the week, now I know why that changed. Won't eat here again.
