Applebee's Grill + Bar

Low quality food and expensive.
The pasta plates did not taste good at all. The sauce was flavorless. Very little cheese was used. I'm very disappointed with the food.
For two pasta plates and one appetizer the cost CAD before taxes was $80.
Atmosphere - so dim and the table felt sticky.
Customer service was okay. Service was fast and courteous.
Also, what the hell is up with this BAIF? It's so silly.

Brooklyn, our server was fantastic. As for the food, it was meh, good but not for extra taxes on the bill.

Great restaurant to visit, great options for food at reasonable prices, especially with the size of the portions that are served. All the staff were polite and friendly. The service is prompt, and the food is served hot, which is a bonus. There are various screens around the restaurant showing various American sports that are playing that day/evening. We visited on our last night and were not disappointed. We would certainly visit again if we are in the area.

The Restaurent's charges are enormous. Cofee is 5 CAD not worth. The quality is average. Try some other joint for beakfast. Since this is nearer to Oakes hotel the guests come here. Pl avoid diappointment.

Decent food but if you’re having a Niagara outing on a budget… then skip restaurant meals as it is not worth it.

It’s a nice place with friendly staff don’t fry me wrong.

The employees were very friendly. The food was very good and the small garden was very nice. Children are given something to paint right at the entrance.

Hot Chicken wings were so hot they were barely edible. Burger was beyond dry and was horrible. Draft beer was served in a stained glass that looked like it hadn’t been washed in months. When complained to waitress she just said sorry. Big mistake going there. Will NEVER go back. Two thumbs down!

I wish I can put 0 stars. Ordered alfredo and its stale, its bad. Called them about it and said its just the parmesan but its not. I know the difference of the smell of a spoiled food and a cheese and this is not the first time we ate this food. First time to review because its a very bad experience to buy such an expensive food and just throwing it away.
They want us to go back and return it, too tired to go back. They can have my money!

Not a very good experience. This was Applebee's Niagara falls Canada. Please take a look at the menu prices as they are ridiculous! The waiter said they charge that much just because the tourists will pay it. I'm a local not a tourist and will never be back here, go to the states it's 100x better food prices and quality. The food was meager, dry and bland. I asked for a gin and tonic and got flat tonic with a hint of gin mostly ice. Sent it back, it was horrible. Unfortunately we paid $50.00 for this tiny meal.

Went for dinner and found the place unbelievably expensive. Quality of food not great. Staff was very polite and friendly. Would not recommended this place for dinner.

Our server Brooke was amazing! Seriously the best! She treated every table with a personal touch, making time to talk to her patrons even while being so busy. Everything was super quick and everything we needed was always right there! Thank you!

Oh also.to the right of us on the lower level, a table of 3 was sat and they weren't greeted for over 10 minutes.the server who arrived didn't even ask how long they had been waiting.if you go here ask to be in Brooke's section! But you better tip her 20%! At least

As good as you'd expect from an Applebee's. The service was nice and the food was ok. The cheesecake tho, fantastic. The place starts to show signs of needing a good facelift. Good, overall.

We went to Applebee's last night for supper and were very disappointed with the food which was lukewarm and looked like it had been reheated from last week. Even the French fries were cold. If it hadn't been for our wonderful server the rating would have been lower. That will be the last time we go there

Ok expensive 22.oo burger wing restarted price want wings go further out town. Order pizza near bye save money.

I have to say that Applebee's is the place to go for breakfast. Fast, friendly, service, Rhonda was amazing! The food was plentiful, for the price, and since we had eaten at iHop the day before I can definitely attest that their pancakes are MUCH better and half the price of iHop. Applebee's in my new favourite breakfast place any time I'm in Niagara Falls.

Chicken fajitas were excellent. A bit skimpy on the chicken. Waitress was very nice and friendly.

NOTHING FACNY - but close to the Embassy Suites Hotel. Our waitress Rhonda was very friendly and helpful even with some sightseeing questions.
The breakfast came out fast and was good. Only our coffee came out warm and we had to re-order it. But, it was resolved.

Took us 45 minutes to get in (understandable). Ordered the dry ribs that were about 8 pieces which is too little. Get the rib platter and the ribs were cold with no taste. Even the bbq sauce couldn’t redeem the meat if there was any meat.

Worst food I’ve ever had actually. We walked for an hour from our hotel to a hot meal and got this lol.

Attached to the Oakes hotel. Great meal able to split it with my significant other. So much nicer then our previous nights dinner. Waitress was awesome!

Best value on the falls and SUPER FRIENDLY staff. Went there 3x on our trip. Shoutout to our amazing servers Rhonda, Maggie, and Jeff. Try the popcorn shrimp. Amazing!

Had a really great experience this weekend. Our server Charlie was such a pleasure. She was kind, fast and efficient. Will definitely be back.

La nourriture bonne mais très déçu achat un steak surlonge 7 onces à 33,99 $ avec frites et légumes alors qu'en Floride ils se vende à 15,00 $ environ. Le menu non disponible sur le site Internet et en plus on nous a chargé en plus une taxes de 3,40 $ et à notre retour nous avons consulté dans l'internet nous avons trouvé cet article (les commerçants de Niagara Falls récoltent chaque année des millions de dollars, grâce aux frais supplémentaires de 3 % qu'ils réclament à leurs clients) alors le total de notre facture 90,00$ (dont 22,00$ taxes et pourboires). On trouve que l'on c'est fait avoir mais nous ne retournerons jamais à votre restaurant. On a l'impression que l'on nous prend pour des innocents à ce prix on pourrait au moins nous mettre des napperons Je suis très choqué de voir ces commerces profiter des touristes. C'est pour cela que le Restaurant était vide. Si une jour vous devez fermer votre commerce ne vous poser pas de questions. Clients très déçus et en colère.

Went for apps and drinks during happy hour - in the touristy area of Niagara Falls the value for money on the apps can't be beat.

However, on my full priced drink they gVe me rotting pineapple garnish.

Staffs are very friendly (with no doubt) & patio environment is comfortable too. However, the food are generally too salty (or overly marinated). It made us feel thirsty thereafter.

Alicia has been the best server I've had since Covid started. Thank you Applebee's for Alicia! You're amazing!

I really enjoyed what I ordered (chicken strips platter). I also had the opportunity to try different meals and they were also fantastic! My recommendations are the Nachos entree and the chicken strips!

Their mac and cheese tasted like hot milk broth and burgers had z e r o seasoning or flavour (no salt and pepper even). The highlight was handing them the full plate back and the servers not being considerate enough to ask what was wrong with the food. For the price, you would expect some standards.

My complaint is that the 1/2 price appetizers did not include the chicken wings and yet they were listed on the appetizer menu? The food we did get was good. Quesadillas and popcorn shrimp.

Price is $$$ for 1 appetizer and 2 other orders. The chips was good but not the spinach artichoke was thumbs down too much of sour taste must have too much of lemon in it. We had couple dip and that's it not good. The chicken fiesta and taco salad with cheese was alright but not the best too spicy for me and my little one. The chicken, mushrooms, onions and shrimp was okay. Shrimp was perfect, mushrooms was thumbs up but husband thought onions could have taste better if sautéed a little more (his own preference)

Great food and excellent service. We hardly waited at around 6: 15pm, seated promptly and served some good food at a reasonable price.

It was fine. Located in the tourist area of Niagara Falls, so it's more expensive than you'd expect. Staff were quite friendly.

Last night was the first time my husband and I went to Applebee's.
We were seated right away but we were very disappointed with the staff.
No one came and asked if we wanted anything to drink, we sat there and waited.we saw the staff talking and laughing with each other but didn't bother coming to ask us if we were ready to order.
After about 15 minutes of waiting we walked out.
Very disappointing, we won't be going there again.

Greeted by very nice staff and waiters! Food was prepared fast and hot and tasty. My only comment would be the sodas without ice tasted watered down a little too much but I guess we saved on calories. Not the cheaper restaurant that they advertise on TV but worth a visit once a year or on special occasions. BTW, with it being a birthday celebration, the surprise of the night was the chocolate cake with a scoop of icecream- staff clapping a cheerful birthday wish. Such a nice touch! Worth a second visit!

One hour waiting time. Seriously? Because the waiters have many tables assigned. And it is better that customers wait in line instead of give them a table and maybe some drinks while they wait?

I had a delicious gluten free burger and bun with sweet potato fries. Hubby had steak and fries. The server was very helpful and friendly.

I don't exactly have an issue with the food, well, the only thing that really bothered me is that wannabe looking steak (on the right) I ordered baby back ribs, mash potatoes, broccoli, onion rings.

In addition, the hand cleaner square looking things was in the side on the food.see how the sauce in on the edges, that's why.i can't believe it.

On a separate issue, the service. I don't know if this is everywhere, but it seems like it (in Niagara)

You sit down, waiter/waitress takes your order, food arrives in good time, you're eating, they ask you like 3, or 4 times, how's the food?

As if they're not confident on their food, service, or something else then you're done, ask for the bill (some actually look at your hands to see if you'll give them a tip) are you serious?
They'll stand there waiting for you to pay.
No really, I'm not making this up.

There was this blonde waitress she slams what it seems to be a small door where they put away paperwork or whatever is in there.
She did this 3 times.it was loud and startling to a few patrons.

Very unwelcome staffs and needs to wait 20 mins to be seated while only 1/3 full inside, waiters are walking around with empty hands and just dont want guests seat in, crazy!

This was an Applebee's location in Niagara Falls (Canadian side) also on that note.yes you now need a passport to get into Canada (for anyone who hasn't been there in a few years) Anyway, there seems to be many Applebee's locations there. This one was nearly attached to the Oakes Hotel. We had a voucher for breakfast included with our stay. Applebee's had breakfast there! Not bad actually.not amazing either, but a decent breakfast. Our server was nice and attentive, food came out in a reasonable time frame. My food was good I had pancakes, bacon, and sausage. My boyfriend said his food be was "okay. " He had a breakfast with eggs, toast, and potatoes. The menu was limited for breakfast since that is not their mainstay. Coffee left a lot to be desired. We had a voucher as previously mentioned, otherwise this was probably on the pricey side. Honestly, all of the breakfast places we have been to in the area seem to be kind of expensive.

So, I went there with 3 of my other friends this has to be the worst Applebee’s ever went to. I’m just shocked how horrible their meals were.you would expect since they’re literally near main attraction this location would superb but no! They need a whole renovation from menu, the place just everything needs a revamp.our meals were indeed enormous but flavourless (steak is dry, load of mash potatoes no salt or butter, pasta no sauce just everything is trash!) lack of presentation just disgusting never again! Service very poor, despite the fact that there were not many people. In fact our breakfast was complimentary without having to complain.

I am here now and our server is indifferent and unattentive. The fish taco shells were dry and we had to wait longer than what we should have for our drinks. Refills were nonexistent.

The food is excellent, the staff is great, but when I went there, they were understaffed, so took a while for them to get to us. Hopefully temporary.

Nice food, was a quiet time in there but still took the waitress a while to serve js. Other than that, she was really nice and food was good

The food took so long so we to our waiter to box it up so we dont miss the fireworks. He forgot to put in one of my order that i paid for.

After a very very long time (decades) I visited this restaurant, the waitress was very nice, I really can't complain about that, and the draft beer pitcher was copious for the three of us. However, the food was abysmal to say the least. The artichoke dip was terrible the nachos were a couple of shades worse than the average pre-packaged super-market quality. The "chips" as in Fish-n-chips were terrible, it was half cooked. The 3 three cheese Italian entree was nothing but a sub-par mac and cheese.
Sorry this will be my last and final visit.

Applebees by The Oakes Hotel: we had breakfast and dinner and it was not crowded like we thought it would be and after experiencing the slow service and overcooked food I understood why. It took about 20 to 25 minutes just to get drinks and it was not crowded. At breakfast, the medium cooked overlight eggs had really runny whites and fried outsides and the sausage links looked and tasted like they had sat in the back all morning. At least the bacon was good.

Great food. Reasonable portions, although I remember it being much larger 2 years ago. Decently priced - a little on the expensive side.
We had ordered a berry sangria that tasted real good - but it came with a fruit fly in it. We told the server and she apologised and offered to replace the drink. However, it felt like an empty apology almost as though they were used to it. And theg didn't even offer to give us the drink free. That was shocking!

Applebee's is next to and connected to the Oakes Hotel, and offers a good range of food throughout the day. Our service was brisk even though it was a busy Sunday evening before Labour Day holiday. Our party especially enjoyed the choice of sangrias, and checked them all out!

Food quality and hygiene standards (sticky table, washrooms so so) sub par for the price, but then it's a tourist area, should be this way, right?
