Appletree Medical Centre

Came in on a Saturday morning at 10: 30, walk in, 1 other patient was here. My total time spent at the clinic was 45 minutes, in and out. It's not as horrendous as some of the reviews here, by no means a nice experience but nothing makes me want to run away. The clinic does not have the facilities to do blood or urine tests, so know that before coming in.

There is a reason their reviews are 2/5.
Worst customer service, no one is willing to help, when you ask them a question they answer with attitude, and they are very rude, they shouldn’t even work here if they don’t want to talk to people.
We just paid $100 because we have private insurance and that is fine but because no one told us we have to provide the shot before the appointment and when we ask them what about our money so we just paid for nothing, the lady in second picture with sweater (NO UNIFORM) with a high and bad tone said didn’t I talk to you that is what you paid, I’m just really shock of how they have no sense of customer or patient service.
They should reconsider of their employees.

Really bad service! The receptionist has a bad attitude and doesn’t explain how the service works, 2 hours and a half of wait, 20 patients sick inside without ventilation, they have no knowledge and don’t even have basic utensils (alcohol, gauze) to clean a wound or cut

Unreliable clinic, staff and doctor! Fanshawe should not be partnered with this kind of clinic for students. Very poor work ethics!

Dr. Fung, the worst doctor ever. Never ever take this guy’s appointment. Always late by 30-40 mins. I had cold cough and skin problem. So he said only one problem per visit. So now do I need to book 3 separate appointments.
Worst service ever. Never got such a response from a doc.

Dr. Nadiya Vasdani was very kind, professional, and respectful of my time. I went on my lunch break and was in and out in 15 minutes. Overall a great experience.

All the staff there genuinely care and found time to squeeze me in when I messed up my appointment times

This place is just like an unorganised store. You have to wait for more than 2 hours and that is after taking an appointment. If you want us to wait for 2 hours why even take appointments. Either the scheduling software’s are not working or the whole appointment thing is a faux.

One of worst service i experienced, for get virtual appointment they want us to enroll for family doctor. What if a patient need sudden help and someone who want virtual appointment.

Terrible system, always says they’re open and even gives a predicted wait time but every single time I’ve actually gone in their kiosk says “not accepting walk in patients at this time”. Literally just been trying to get a blood test req for over a week. This place is run by idiots

Awful Clinic

A receptionist is always away and it takes a while for her to come and call you.

Dr. Vincenzo is an uneducated doctor. Don't go to that doctor and clinic.

Complete garbage. Staff/Drs are liars and unprofessional. I will never use AppleTree ever again.

When I arrived there were around 5 people in the waiting room. What I found odd was one by one each person was called into the back every 15-20 minutes, but each person would only be back there for less than a minute before walking out silently. Nobody was being tended to?

When I was called back I was told to describe my symptoms to the dr briefly (stomach pain) and they explained to me that they weren't looking into 'issues like that' on that particular day and I should go line up at a different clinic if I wanted.
After not even getting to speak to the dr for 30 seconds I (like everyone else) was ushered out.
The female Dr was roaming around with a clipboard as if she was busy, but there was NOBODY THERE.

Then why did I have to wait an hour at apple tree!? Is this even a real clinic?

It seems like everyone was being sent away. This wasn't even during the pandemic!

When I checked my patient record on the appletree website they had my appointment as "left without speaking to the dr. " What a bunch of absolute liars. This place is disgusting.

This is the worst clinic I have ever been to. The doctor made me wait for an hour and then said he couldn’t take me. They just want to take your Ohip card but don’t care about treating patience. I will be filing a complaint against this doctor

DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU ARE UNVACCINATED.made an appointment a week in advance and of the day of my appointment was not allowed because of not being vaccinated (no one ever informed me about when I called in advance). Horrible- took time of work;
In addition there was no receptionist and the lady who worked there was unwelcoming and made whole experience even worse. Didn’t seem to offer any solutions such as give consultation over phone, etc.waste of time.

This place is garbage. They make you wait 2+ hours just to tell you they don't take walk-ins.

DO NOT GO HERE. The quality of care is abysmal. Only one nurse staffed, no receptionist, everyone was confused. After getting admitted, I waited 45mins for the nurse to fix IT issues. Made an appointment to see a doctor in person and instead got a virtual appointment. Face time with the doctor was approximately 15 seconds. The nurse then forgot to print my requisition forms. Avoid this place at all costs.

Hours posted are not ours of operation for walk-ins. I suggest calling ahead to ensure there is a doctor present.

I was a new patient and no instructions given about what to do once you are at the venue. I had a prior appointment time but no one asked me. No receptionist! Waited for 30 minutes and left. I suggest you have clear information that there will be wait time involved else having a prior appointment sounds futile! Very dissatisfied with the service.

I have contacted Appletree medical group at multiple occasions regarding my issue with my physician. My first appointment, the physician was late by 1h30. My second appointment got cancelled for no reason. The third appointment the doctor was late by an hour again. I kept rescheduling. Today the doctor called me unprepared telling me that he has no access to my results (which is odd because they called me yesterday and said that they had my results). It has now been a month that I am scheduling twice appointment and unable for the doctor to contact. I scheduled an appointment for my boyfriend as well with his number and the doctor called me instead of my boyfriend. I wasted another appointment today because the doctor was not prepared telling me that he can't open my results when they told me yesterday that he already has it.

Dr. Anthony Gobran cancelled my virtual appointment while I was sitting there waiting for him, and after I had complete my intake forms and confirmed every one of the THREE confirmation text messages that I was sent. It is a rare occasion that booking an appointment with any Apple Tree physician goes smoothly.

I have even showed up to an in person appointment to learn that my physician had called in sick and they forgot to notify me.

The only reason I continue to remain a patient here is because I like my family physician, but don't be fooled by the promise of being able to see another doctor if needed.

Don't go there. Dr Stendardo canceled my visit after an hour of wait. Tiny waiting room without windows and just one chair. Curiously, they don't turn on AC unless you've asked.

I had a virtual appointment with Dr. Anthony Gobran and it was cancelled 5 minutes before the appointment saying that my case requires in-person assessment. When I called the clinic the staff said that the doctor doesn't see the patient in-person and there is not doctor available. Now I'm here in pain without an orientation for the doctor and I'm afraid to go to the emergency room because of the covid. I don't think that is respectful just cancel it without any other option.

Dr. Stendardo is a great professional and a nice person, he is knowledgeable, patient, and always ready to help. It's been a great pleasure to be his patient for almost 10 years at Apple Tree Medical.

I am the Medical Assistant you screamed at over the phone the other day for adding a patient to your schedule who I believed to need help and the doctor at my office was done for the day. I genuinely wasn't aware that I wasn't supposed to do that and even called your office to not only confirm but ask. I don't think your anger and hostility was warranted when I tried to explain to you why I did what I did even after apologizing a million times. You kept screaming how dare I and who do I think I am. I know I don't have an MD but I am also a human being. I am also looking forward to creating a career. I don't think just because I made a mistake that can easily be reversed (and was) that I should have been verbally abused. What you did really affected me emotionally. I understand you must've felt violated but I explained to you it was an honest mistake. Your yelling and hostility made me freeze up because I didn't expect to be spoken to like I am someone attacked someone you love on purpose. Since then, I feel extreme anxiety and I even cried for an hour that day at work when you kept threatening me and asking to speak to my boss. I am still shaken up and haven't been sleeping well. I was told that this is a problem in me that I'm supposed to be okay with being screamed at and go on with my day. As you are a health care provider, I don't understand how you could speak to any human being like that knowing how mental health impacts people daily. I felt like I wanted to die. I don't know how else to even get in touch with you because I am afraid you are going to scream at me again for having the audacity to approach you. What you did really hurt me and im still sorry about not knowingly violating your schedule.

Highly unprofessional, Golden Radiology Diagnostic Imaging Center is unable to send Fax to them. Their fax system is not working. Very strange.

Overall the walk-in clinic was quick.

However, Dr. Stendardo prescribed me medication that was supposed to help my one medical issue. It lead into a different infection, pain and issues with my body. I was unable to book a virtual time with him on the day I needed him. I’m very disappointed in the results that the medication he gave me, I’m currently in pain and unable to move.

I called Appletree Medical Centre to see if they were able to connect me with Dr. Stendardo. Unfortunately they did not have any connections to reach the doctors at the clinics.

I’m extremely disappointed.

Absolutely worst group to be stuck with. The family doctor I am registered to refuses to write a requisition for my post natal diabetes test. I had diabetes during pregnancy and it’s important to get this test done. I have contacted the clinic several times trying to make appointments. They do not have options to book appointments for general check up. In case I do somehow book appointments they get cancelled most of the times citing ridiculous reasons. If I do somehow connect with doctor she simply says that she won’t write the requisition and ends the appointments. Now I am trying to find a new family doctor in midst of the pandemic.

I’m sure there are other doctors who can do better. Even after I’ve complained to Ministry of health nothing was improved every time I call Apple Tree (been a patient for 7 years, my family doctor left Canada) and they suggest Dundas location I don’t even let them finish the sentence because I’m getting flashbacks of how terrible was my experience last year

Dr. Stendardo has been my family doctor for approximately 5 years. He is excellent at what he does and is extremely patient and helpful. Would highly recommend him.

I should have trusted reviews before coming here. This clinic has awful service and long wait times. Will not return.

The worst service I have ever seen at a clinic. I registered, they took 10 people before (who registered after) me then when I stood up to ask, they were condescending and told me to sit down because I was "waiting for a different doctor". After this occured 2 more times, I ended up leaving without being seen.

Efficient and friendly. Love the new technology being incorporated like tablet registration and online surveys.

Very disappointed at this clinic. I was told no doctor was at the clinic, so I waited an hour for the doctor to come, which was no big deal. I was first to check in for a walk-in appointment and was brought into the room promptly. After waiting for 40+ minutes in the room, I asked why no one had come to see me despite being first in line. I was told that the walk-in appointments were not on a first come first serve basis and the doctor can decide who he wants to see first. I was told I had to continue waiting for an undisclosed amount of time. After waiting almost 2 hours, I still was not able to see the doctor so I left. I walked over to MCI The Doctor's Office down Dundas and was seen immediately there. Do not waste your time here.

Very poor patient consideration by Dr on site. I’m a medical profession who needed a few minutes of support and the doctor would not see me.

I went for a simple matter. The automatic check in told me there were only four other people checked in. I was put in a patient room fairly quickly, and measured blood pressure and temperature. After an hour of nobody checking on me and no doctor, I ask why the wait was so long. The doctor sees people in whatever order he wants and I was expected to wait indefinitely. I tried going back in the room, but felt cooped up, so I stepped out of the patient room and started pacing. That's when the nurse tells me it'll be another 1-2 hours. That's when I left. If you like being trapped in a tiny room alone not knowing how long you will be waiting, this is the place for you.

I have visited this walk in clinic several times in the past 2 years. I have found that when Dr. Stendardo is in a bad mood, he takes it out on his staff and patients which is very unprofessional as he can be condescending, rude and unapproachable. I went to visit him to assess an injury which he did not thoroughly assess and when I requested for a referral, he told me one request per visit even though my follow up request is related to my initial concern. I was told that he is very busy and cannot accommodate to my follow up request. I felt he does not really care about the patients and money is more important to him. I would not go back here ever again but hey, Toronto has a shortage for family physicians.

I just waited for almost 2.5 hours at this clinic. While the staff were quick to get me in a room and were decently pleasent, the visit was a complete failure and waste of time. I never write reviews (this may be my first one) but felt the need to do so given how ridiculously poor my experience just was.

45 minutes after arriving I asked to go out and get a drink but was first told not to and was then told to be extremely fast. All of this to simply wait another hour and a half without anyone coming to the room or providing any updates on what to expect. After waiting for over 2 hours the staff couldn't even give me an approximation for when I would be seen - this despite me explaining that I have obligations with children that I need to deal with. I left without being seen.

What a waste of time. Just terrible customer service. NEVER GOING BACK

Awesome doctor and nurse there! I went there an hour before they closed and the nurse told me it was by appointment only so I waited a bit but when they knew it was urgent I was told the doctor will be able to see me. Doctor was super nice and helpful. I recommend this place. Thank you doctor.

This is the worst Appletree medical location around. Avoid at any cost, especially when Dr. Vincenzo Stendardo is working!

I was waiting for more than 50 mins when a young associate (she was very rude) told me that the doctor has to go for lunch, so she will see if it's possible for him to see me. Btw, this is the same "story" I also heard last time when I came to this location. One girl who came after me was checked before me, oh well.
However, the doctor saw me both times in a rush, having the doors open. He literally "checked" me in one minute.
Today I came because of a little rash, and I wanted to ask about something else (which is much severe), but they blew me off completely. I know this is probably some the policy (being able to come for one issue daily!?) with Appletree, but still, you cannot even spend 1-2 minutes of your service to listen to someone - maybe you can give some advice and point him/her to a different clinic, no? So, when I tried to ask quickly for another issue I am having, I got an answer from Dr. Vincenzo: "Buddy (!?) it's the busiest time of the day, and I still didn't have my lunch, come another day. "

Rude and arrogant staff.

To be honest, seeing all these reviews before and after two recent experiences, I am not sure how this location is still open.

And also, I am not kind of a guy who would spend time on writing reviews around, but what's enough is enough. This is already a couple of times the same behaviour from the same group of people (Dr. Vincenzo and rude young associate - not the Chinese one, she's cool)

I am done with them.

I never understood why this clinic had so many bad reviews until now.
I went two times for throat infection and those times I got antibiotics and everything seemed fine.
But in the third time, I went for a "throat infection" (also, let's consider I have been going for the same "throat infection" in less than 1 month) and I got prescription for antibiotics, but this time they didn't work. I went again and again another antibiotics still didn't work.
So I went to another doctor. This one did blood tests on me and guess what? I never had a bacterial infection it was viral. So, I spent money on antibiotics and took them all for nothing.
I was never going to get better if I continued going.

For me it always seemed strange that I was getting sick of the same thing and that the pills didn't work. But, this was the insurance doctor so what could I do.

It is not a walk-in clinic!

When I got there, no one was in the waiting area. Spoke to the reception, she said “the doctor is not taking walk in today. ” Not sure what that means, maybe he is not in the mood?

Worst experience, had to wait for two hours just for two minutes job. I would not recommend anyone to go to this clinic.

I’ve gone here on and off for years. Usually, I only need to wait under 30 min to get in to a room and then less than 30 to see the doctor. The doctors here do not see people on a first come first served basis though, so if someone with a more serious concern comes in after you they may be seen before you.
