Got there 9: 50am waited until 4pm I got a text stating that I am good to see someone I get there they say wait another 30-40 mins just to go inside & the doctors telling me he can’t write me a doctors note this place is horrible he barely even bothered to check if I actually was hurt or not seemed to not care enough at all this place is one of the worst locations yet

Waiting a long time 45min, standing, no chair sit down put more chairs, the DR did not at me, troubles with private areas. He was waiting down on the bed, I thought the bed was for patients. I have pimple pimple on back side now, used got rid of it?

Huge waste of time i was looking for a walk in clinic and found the appletree medical centre.i checked the website before going and it said it was open and the wait time was 30 minutes so i went but when i got there 15 minutes later the waiting time updated to 2 hours.there was a lot of people there so it made sense and i started waiting.when i got to the front of the line there was no receptionist, just a kiosk.i filled out my information and sat down to wait some more.after a bit a patient came out from the back and said there was no doctors there and so there was nothing they could do.apparently she was the first one there at 9: 30am and she left at 11: 30am saying the employees didn't do anything/couldn't do anything because the doctor was sick.so then why were a bunch of us waiting for doctors that weren't even there? None of the employees said anything to us, the other patients had to tell eachother that there was no point in being there.would've had better luck at the hospital emergency room

Wow, such good service. The supervisor was so nice, and took the time to help me understand how to get help that I needed.

Probably the worst appletree in the city. 1 of the 2 kiosks were broken. An hour and a half in line, arriving an hour and half before they opened, and I still haven't been to the kiosk yet. It does NOT open at 830, it opens at 930

Pretty horrible service. I waited 2 hours for my appointment to see the doctor I booked 2 weeks ago for 12: 00PM I got the video call @ 3: 00 PM for the doctor to send me to the apple tree clinic anyways. No appointments available just the same run around.

I had no other choice but to come here as there were no appointments elsewhere. I was hoping the reviews might be wrong.

The doctor didn’t even let me know she was done with my consult. She barely spent 2 minutes with me. Go elsewhere.

The only doctor on staff today, Dr. Malik Meghani, apparently refuses to treat any women’s health issues. The clinic has a sign stating this that they put out on display in the lobby AFTER waiting for an extended period of time to be seen. Would have been great to have been informed this when we arrived rather than being told after waiting to be seen. Also would be great to put the sign out proactively.

They also refused to give us the doctors name when asked, we only determined the doctors name from the sign they put out AFTER waiting and after getting turned away by the reception staff.

Atrocious treatment, and atrocious lack of professionalism. Shame on the doctor for refusing to treat women and children, and shame on Appletree for employing a doctor who refuses to treat 2/3 of the population, and only informs clients after endless waiting. Absolutely disgusted by the lack of professionalism and zero standard of care.

Worst experience ever. Made an appointment, hoping to reduce wait times but still had to wait 2hrs to see a Doctor who then saw me for literally 2 minutes and was just so unhelpful! They just put you in a room without any info, and when I tried to ask I was basically just told to keep the door shut. Horrible place! So humiliating!

No empathy for patients, doctors don't turn up for virtual care, rude nurses, a completely messaged up patient portal, walk-ins take hours at end

Didn't want to believe other reviews, but the negative ones are 100% accurate.
Doctor makes little to no space to hear out the patient and is unavailable for follow up appointments or contact.
Hours posted on website are incorrect and nobody takes an interest in correcting them.
Communication between the Doctors and Staff is lacking, and the Staff are curt and unprofessional.
There is no effort made to post if and when the walk-in clinic is cancelled; Staff simply find out when the doctor doesn't show up.
Want to believe that this is simply the sad state of Healthcare in Ontario, but have sadly had other very negative experiences with Appletree in the past.

Horrible experience ever as for the gynecologist that was there yesterday March 25 I highly don't recommend her. Also waited close to 4 hours. I had an appointment. It's not the first time I see a gynecologist. Never going back to that clinic. Dirty and if u need to go to the bathroom no soap or paper towel either.

I am at the clinic now. Site says opening for registration in about 25 minutes but signs here says closed. What is going on? !?

I booked an appointment over a week ago for virtual care. I was waiting on the video call for 35 minutes when my appointment was cancelled. They cancelled while I was ON THE CALL waiting for the doctor for 35 minutes past my appointment time. I took work off for this. This is not the first time I’ve had an appointment cancelled same day. But at least last time it was a couple hours before. Still terrible. If I booked the appointment over a week ago have some courtesy and not waste peoples time by letting them know like a few days in advance?

I called this Appletree on the Sunday and they said that it would be open for walk ins at 6: 30am. Got there at 6: 30 and waited outside in -15 weather until 9: 15am when I was told that the Doctor didnt come in
and they were not taking walk in appointment. They confessed that they didnt update the website and that I was to come back at 12: 30pm inorder to be seen.

Still waiting to be seen, but so far not too impressed. The Kiosk isn't working properly to register, neither is their web page to answer follow-up questions.

No one seems to be getting their text prompts so I feel bad for the people who left to get coffee. Some sketchy types walk in and hassle the front desk.

Nowhere to sit while you wait but at least I'm inside. I really hope the trip is worth it, as I wanted to avoid clogging up the ER. Will update if I ever get seen.

UPDATE: was not worth the wait at all. Didn't examine the injury at all and just sent me on my way after a 2 minute conversation. At least I got an xray form.

My experience with Appletree has been positive. I never had a family doctor. So a year or so ago, I signed with them to be a rostered patient. Then you get assigned a doctor (which you may or not ever see…), BUT being a rostered patient, you can then create a patient portal to book telemedicine appointments, view lab results, etc, plus, as a rostered patient, you can also book Virtual Care appointments from the comfort of your home.

Back in December, Dr Watson had me go for blood work for something & needed to discuss results with me. I booked a virtual appt Tuesday. He was late due to technical issues, & I had to get to a work meeting, BUT he went out of his way to keep calling my cell & eventually reached me, gave me my results, and sent me a follow up requisition form to be done by May. (thank you Dr Watson!).

And even if you have to see different doctors, they’re files are all connected. Personally, I’m very happy with Appletree.

Don't waste your time coming here. Closed most days, and the staff at the connected pharmacy are rude and disappointing. 0/5

They'll let you stand outside in the cold, sick, for an hour waiting, only then to tell you they aren't taking anymore walk-ins. Absolutely horrendous. Don't go here.

Made an appointment 1 month ago for which I received multiple reminders. I got there today and they are apparently closed on Wednesdays? Waste of time.

So stupid. Book an appointment in order to not walk-in and have to wait. Been waiting an hour and a half I ask what the point of the appointment is if I’m waiting and the response was “to skip wait time” we’ll if I book it for 1245 how come it’s 2 pm and haven’t talked to anyone still. Don’t recommend if you are in a rush.

Appletree medical group no longer meets the need of the people.people are suffering because they are misled in web sites.

I went to the Sparks location in Ottawa. Receptionist and staff are very cordial and kind.
My advice is to come super early, register and go home if you can. Wait times are around 3-5 hours. Bring some reading material and sweater! The waiting area is cold. If you come with the expectation to wait, then the visit will be fine. Doctor is great. I believe low ratings are mostly for long wait times. They do text you around 30 min to 1 hr before it's your turn.

I would give them 0 star if I could. They really lack the empathy towards patients, the entire staff is just so rude and even after registering they would make you sit inside a room for hours! I will never go back to this clinic again.

Apple tree is an absolute joke I don't even have to go into it but it's just ridiculous the incompetence, I walked in to register.an old man had accidentally took a trip on the stairs leading up to the front doors and took a nasty spill on his forehead, you wouldn't believe how much it took them to help just to give him a Band-Aid or wet towel to dry the blood off his face I won't even go into my journey that afternoon but a complete waste of time a complete joke and incompetence run a foul useless unbelievable should be shut down!

The waiting times have become ridiculous. The staff is doing their best and they're friendly, but that whole system doesn't work anymore.

Website stated walk in was open, with a 2 hr wait. Called to confirm, recorded message stated to visit in person for walk in services. Stood in line for a while in the morning, then was told registration wouldn’t start until early afternoon.

They are not respectful.their service is terrible. Don't care about patients. Office was dirty and mess.

Very disturbing. I went on line too see opening time.website said opens at 8: 30.that was a lie. I arrived early, so as to get in at a reasonable time.waited for hour and halve for no reason because the Preston St.apple tree.was closed for that day.there was no notification of this closure on the website. Five people waited for over an hour to find out that there was no Dr.there to see them. So inconsiderate.

If I could give less stars, I would. The doctor on duty, Dr. Flood - beyond indifferent and not caring. “I did not read your chart, but…”Isn’t it your job to read the chart and treat patients with empathy? Sad and pathetic! Shame on you, Appletree and shame on Canada for allowing this level of garbage service in health care!

I waited for 45 mins at this clinic, supposed to open at 9am, no one showed up! Very unprofessional!

This is the most humiliating experience patients can have. We were standing in line with a toddler for an hour and a half waiting to register and then the staff member decided to close the register and said we can’t take any more patient. They didn’t for a minute think to tell SICK people to not stand in line hoping to see a doctor. Incredibly rude staff member that is. I will be filing a complaint against the staff member and a complaint against Appletree with the Ministry of Health. Treating patients (especially vulnerable children) like this, is NOT ok.

An absolute joke and nightmare, I waited for 3 hours, 3 dam* hours to be told that I was 2 people behind, and some how magically more than 4 went ahead of me. I am disgusted by the Appletree medical clinics not just this one but by every one of them, there are kids and robots that can do your jobs way better, 7 years for some license and this is the service we get from you doctors? You should be ashamed of yourselves. You just look at your screens ask a few questions and send us off for some random meds to help heal us. I'm appalled at your service, good job NOT!

Their administrator (short, looks like latina) is the most unprofessional I've ever seen. I brought up some inconsistent issues in regards to their public info and because she's probably having a bad day or something, she rolled her eyes and left without saying anything and never returned to acknowledge me. Just plain rude! This center needs to do some house cleaning if they want to improve their reviews!

I showed up early, registered, and never received a call from the clinic. I called to ask why, and I was told the doctor marked me as a no show. I have a serious health condition, and I was skipped. The "Call once we're ready to see you" service is a scam, and so is this clinic

Awful service! No respect for patient and his/her time. Got there on time for my appointment and waited for one hour to get my test done! But that was not it! The assistant asked me to wait for the doctor to say Hi to me! Waited for another hour for her to come say Hi! And she literally just said Hi and repeated that I will get my results in 6 weeks! She saw 5-6 patients in between while she could take less than a minute to just let me go! Unbelievable! Really!

I had a virtual appointment with a doctor at this clinic, so rude. Not only the doctor was late for the appointment, he was also so in a rush and just wanted to drop off the call. Plus, everything he said was come to the clinic to discuss. If so, what’s the point of a virtual call

This place is really not well run. I booked a walk in appointment for 12pm as I have a job interview at 2pm. I told the lady when I came at 11: 55 that I just moved here from Alberta and asked if that would be an issue and she said no not at all. An hour passes and I finally get called in and she says to me “That’ll be 77$ as you don’t have OHIP”, I was a bit shocked because she never mentioned it early and I’ve never had that happen before. I told her I have zero money to my name because I just moved here on my own but I do have private insurance and could they bill through that. All she said was “No, bye”. Seriously unprofessional.

Aside from that they do not enforce proper Covid 19 protocols as nothing was being sanitized (even the washroom key), no social distancing rules were being used and many people walked in without a mask even though this is a doctors office.

If I could rate this place zero starts I would.

Website stated open, went in person it was closed. When asked the pharmacist, I was wrong and the site states its closed. Argumentative support is indicative of chaos.

They have 2 sign in kiosks but one is shut down for social distancing despite the fact there are 15 ppl packing into the lobby lining up right beside eachother

If I could give a 0 start I would. I wouldn’t recommend my worst enemy to go here. Absolutely terrible. Extremely understaffed, disrespectful and not aware of other peoples time. They made me stand in a line waiting for nearly 2 hours just to tell me they don’t take in patients anymore. 2 hours of my life I’ve wasted when as soon as I stepped in they could’ve told me. Complete DISREGARD for the well-being or schedule of their patients. I’ve also went here before and I’ve gotten misdiagnosed. Terrible place.

Cannot comment on the doctors themselves, because they never showed up. Other staff did not inform patients waiting in the cold of this. Meanwhile the website says "we value your time" and "we are here for you". Sure. Unreliable. If you cannot even show up to work on time like most of the population does every day how can you be expected to accurately diagnose medical conditions and provide proper treatment? 0 stars is too high of a rating.

Our experience with them has been extremely terrible. My wife needed a vaccine, the doctor told my wife to come Thu for a followup visit. The Clinic was supposed to open at 7 (per website) and it opened at 9. We waited for 2 hours only to find out that the doctor comes on Friday. Nurse told her to come Friday early at 6.30. We arrived 7.30 and it was still closed.

Feeling the worst

After 2ours and half of waiting, I finally get in, nurses brows very quickly through the problem, no deep investigation, then, after a little bit more wait a doctor come in, he didn't see you but he already knows the little bit that the nurse gave him, already got the prescription ready, do not want to hear you talk, explain your problems and do not want to know anything at all really, makes you feel undeserving of his time, wasting it really, then, after that, leaves you without any other information and somehow that is supposed to be enough.

If you are into inconsiderate care, if you like being ignored and treated as nothing then go, otherwise, avoid at all cost

Absolutely terrible, you register. Get told there's 4 patients before you come back in 1h or we'll call your cell if you spot is up. When you do come back after 1h now there are 6 patients before you and you get told you will have to wait another 1h+. Wow. Great, thank you very much for the great registration system. It works surprisingly well.

Told all week to come for 8: 30am to register on a Saturday for 9am opening. Currently 9: 15am and no lights on inside, large lineup outside, and no communication as to what's happening.

Incredibly frustrating. Between front of house staff and doctor there should be someone here.

Took my developmentally delayed sister there.doctor incredibly rude, and dismissive. Other staff were amazing.

Extremely poor service for a doctors office. Turning away a patient because you refuse to look in the throat? A what point do you no longer call yourself a doctor or a doctors office? I certainly hope OHIP wasn't billed for this visit where my daughter was turned away for a throat issue. I will be ensuring this. If I could give ZERO stars I would.

Unbelievably poor service at this location. I went to the clinic Oct. 24 in Nepean. Location was not seeing any person to person patients. Was sent to clinic on Merivale Rd.same thing however because it was a neck injury they would not see me virtually and I was told to go to Preston st.location. I saw a Doctor Evans after waiting an hour. The Dr.looked at my neck for less than 30 seconds and told me I needed xrays and blood work. I asked him where to get that done he told me to ask out front. By this time the location was closed and there was no one out front. I visited a hospital and had the requisitions filled. The results were returned to Appletree on Oct. 27 and to date (Nov. 18) they have NOT YET BEEN REVIEWED. I have tried to contact the clinic but it is always closed. I have tried to book and appointment with Dr. Evans but he has no available times. When I went to the clinic I could barely move and was unable to sleep due to pain. The help I received from Apple tree and Doctor Evans was 25 seconds of his time and nothing else. Almost a month has gone by with no follow up. Absolutely horrid!

I am not sure why these clinics do not allow RNs to inject or assess TB tests. In addition I am not sure why there are never any doctors that can actually perform skills available. What is the point of these clinics? Why was I allowed a TB injection at 5pm on a Monday if there was not going to be anyone available, in ANY of the clinics, to assess it? This place is useless. In addition to this, I went in and registered for an appointment and left as they advise. I met my boyfriend down the street and realised I didn't know how long the wait time is. My boyfriend entered the clinic and gave them my name, and they gave him the time I would be back. They had not seen me with him, and they did not ask who he was. This is a major breach of confidentiality. If I had been at the clinic to report abuse, I would be unsafe as this man they did not know now knew when I would be there. After I get my TB test read, IF I do, I will not be returning.

I went on monday when the cli ic was supposed to be open but it was closed to find a note that it would be open Tuesday. I returned on Tuesday to wait 4 1/2 hours to get my pressure taken and the doctor give me a prescription for a blood test. Worst service i have ever had to be charged $77 what a waste of money. I will never set foot in an Appletree clinic again. I think i should get my money back for such bad service!

The doctors will setup an appointment just so they can get paid by OHIP other then that will will not help you

I saw Dr. Baranick who was hugely unattentive to my needs - in and out in less than 5 minutes, and answered my questions in a nonchalant attitude on his way out the door, without making eye contact. He seemed like he was in a huge rush to get me out when the waiting room was empty (2 o'clock on a Tuesday). The nurses and staff were otherwise helpful.

The staff do not update their site accordingly. Their website stated, "registration will re-open at 4pm. " I uber all the way there to find out that in fact there is no doctor returning for the day, and that the telemedicine doctor will not be in until 5: 30 p.m. The job of the front end staff is to keep their information up to date, which means taking a whole 5 mins out of your day to update the site so people who are planning to come in for a walk in don't waste their time since no doctor will be in. They are clearly not organized.

I’ve been to many walk-in clinics over the years and Dr. Proud is by far the best physician I’ve seen in Ottawa. She is kind, caring, and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend.

Totally understand about wait times. No problem however, I do have a problem when they sit you in the patient room and you wait an hour for the doctor.

Great experience. I've used this clinic twice, once in person and once using their virtual care. The doctor that i scheduled the virtual care with had to reschedule but the time conflicted with another appointment so i had to cancel. Upon seeing this the doctor called me right away to diagnose and prescribe me the medication i needed in the comfort of my own home! Im very impressed so far!

I arrived at their scheduled time to open. 7: 30 am. And there were somehow 12 people already ahead of me. I watched as far more than that went in ahead of me. Have been waiting an hour and a half for a simple prescription renewal. Unfortunately there are very few options for a clinic in this area, but certainly do not go out of your way to come to this one.

Waited over an hour one evening for someone to tell me that he misread my toddler's age in the chart as 21 years and not 21 months and they could not see her as they could not see kids under 4. This was totally their mistake. He then proceeded to tell me that now that he had wasted my time, there were no doctors left in the city that were open and I would have to go to CHEO. This office is a complete failure.

The whole family was seen by the doctor Christina Proud and she was great, very attentive and pleasant with us and the kids. We got our kids prescriptions and received our flu shots, all in under an hour. The registration process could be a little better if we could enter all the info online before coming to the clinic. In general very positive experience.

I went just before opening to queue up self serve kiosk worked perfectly, told me I was 8th on the list. I saw a doctor in about 15 minutes. There is a pharmacy in the lobby so I could get my prescription filled right there. Whole visit took less than 45 minutes. Most efficient medical visit I ever had in Canada.

Doctor Baranick didn't even come into the room to speak with me himself. Sent in his Attendant to tell me that he was unable to prescribe me the drugs I needed. I was there for a referral.not to be drugged up?
The attendant explained that I needed to go to a near by Apple Tree clinic to see a different Doctor. Arrived there and the place was closed for registration that day and said they would not take me in.
Saw at the front desk a list of restrictions placed on Mr. Baranick. What a disappointment and embarrassment to Canadian healthcare that this person is a working Doctor at two separate clinics.

Positive experience. You self-register on a screen and I had 12 people ahead of me. It didn't seem to take long. Half-hour or a little more. The doctor was very thorough and the staff was pleasant. I had my prescription filled right there.

It was -20C when I arrived at the states opening time of 7: 30am. I was at least prepared for the cold but even then I only lasted 30 minutes before getting a lift to another clinic. When it is that cold and your clients are all, by the nature of the thing, ill you have a much bigger duty to be open on time, and if you’re unable to do that then at least be available on the phone at 7: 30am! This was a terrible experience. Instead of being first in line I’m tenth in line at this other clinic and have to wait an hour or two. Thanks for nothing.

The doctor that I got (Scott Marin) was amazing. Super helpful and could tell they genuinely cared. The staff were polite and efficient. Even when they made errors they were good about communicating. I was very impressed with the doc though. Ordered tests for me without even asking and seriously felt cared for. I hope they have a wonderful day.

Ordered orthopedic inserts 1.5 months ago and paid in full. Still don’t have them and nobody knows what is the status of the order. Very disorganized.

Very disappointed. I booked an appointment through the Appletree Virtual Care and the physician never showed up. I signed in ten minutes early for my appointment, as instructed, and received the following message: "waiting for practitioner to join.leave this page open". I left the portal open for over 5 hours, but the physician never joined the meeting. I called Appletree’s contact number and was told that they do not deal with Virtual care and was provided with an email address. I emailed twice with no response. Would not recommend.

I've had AMAZING experiences with two of the doctors at this clinic. I'm always so pleasantly surprised to find understanding and personable doctors. Very knowledgeable as well.

The staff, however, tend to be more surly and much less personable. I understand it's a difficult profession and it's high demand.

The wait-time is average for Canadian clinics in cities. I have no complaints for that.

In summary: Great doctors, Okay Staff, Normal Wait-time.

Went in with a terrible middle ear infection. Less than 10 hours later and two doses of antibiotics prescribed I feel much better. Thank you Dr. Mushtaq for prompt assessment and treatment! Great front staff as well. The whole experience was stellar.

Waited an hour for a doctor who didnt listen to my many symptoms and who assumed from the fact that I'm a student my headache was caused by staring at a screen too much. Left with no information and no valid recommendations.

Went in for back pain after a car accident and the doctor didn’t even come close to me or really listen to my concerns. He stayed right beside the door the whole time, didn’t even examine my back or ask anything about my car accident. Apparently my back pain « isn’t a concern » to the doctor, but its definitely a concern to me as its painful!

The place is also filthy, which is not acceptable for a medical clinic!

Worst clinic, been waiting for 2 hours. Just for a test results. I have been warned by my friends. Not recommended for anyone I know.

Any how! When I was in office to first find out if foot Dr was in that day, had ring bell two times, after more than five mins, someone with a unwelcome face appears!

Horrible service. I was told to come back 3 times in a day and they didn't help me at all each time. They have given me false infromation multiple times, and have prescribed the wrong medication to me before

Dr. Diljaan was very personable and professional. Staff was also very friendly and the place was clean and tidy. I had quite a positive experience.

Went in with a swollen eye. I was about to register and I was told they were not accepting patients. I went in at 2: 40 and was told to go to another clinic with a wait time of an hour and a half. Unacceptable service, I needed to see a doctor now and not an hour and a half later. Luckily my family doctor was able to see me quicker than this clinic.
