I saw Dr. Andrew Kriger, (Family Physician) for a follow-up with backpain. By far the worst and rudest experience with a medical "professional" I have ever had. Andrew treated me with contempt when I inquired about getting imagining done to diagnose my injury. He did not entertain it at all, failed to perform any sort of physical/diagnostic tests and just guessed at what my problem was. He said to me, that if I wanted imagining and comprehensive medical care that I should drive to Buffalo, USA and pay for it there. His solution was to give me a piece of paper telling me to take more acetaminophen and ibuprofen to help with the pain and refused to give me any answer as to WHY I was in pain. Horrible individual and one of the worst "doctors" I have even met with.

It's a fantastic group of people running this clinic. Pleasant reception experience, and always a good and knowledgeable conversation with the assistants, nurses and doctors. Each of them is so kind and caring with the patients.

Been coming to see Dr. Wong for prenatal checkups. He’s very knowledgeable and has answers to all of my questions. The service here has generally exceeded my expectations. They don’t have much specialized equipment here, so they have to refer you for tests. But otherwise very good.

Absolutely horrible service. I went with my friend to meet a doctor and we had to wait over 5 hours, and since no one called us, we went back home after wasting all that time. The people working there were not helpful at all and were rude too.

I don’t want to give at least a one star. Today, I visited the Apple Tree medical centre to inquire whether my friend's X-ray had been faxed to them. Unfortunately, my friend couldn't make it to the center due to her fractured leg. However, I was appalled by the unprofessional and rude behavior displayed by the ladies at the front counter. When I asked if the X-ray had arrived, they dismissively told me to check it myself, claiming they were too busy with other tasks. To make matters worse, when I inquired about the doctor's departure time, they simply replied that they didn't know, without any further assistance. It is utterly unacceptable for a healthcare worker to treat a patient in such a manner. I am deeply disappointed by the appalling level of service provided by this establishment. Horrible service ever.

I only rate the doctor that attended to me the 5 stars but the nurses at the call desks are complete useless individuals I have ever met in my life. Especially those young brown ladies. Very awful. Very rude, ignorant and seem to be selective. I booked an appointment and found only 2 people ahead of me and I was forced to wait for 3 hrs. I don't understand how they run that system. They should just get out of there and go home. I totally undemimed what they might have studied in school. Unqualified individuals given opportunity to serve but in turn killed the chance because of their incompetence. Nkt!

I am disappointed that there was no less than 1 star to rate this branch as they absolutely don’t deserve even one star for the service they provide. To clarify, I am not speaking about doctors as my doctor is great! But the staff’s attitude is unacceptable and sooo disrespectful! One of them hung up on me a few weeks ago and when I called back to request to file a complaint, she/they gave me a fake email address to write to! I realized this when I contacted appletree’s general email who replied confirming that the email address that I was given was fake and promised to investigate the rude incident that occurred to me, but they never did! ’ I wrote them back and they still haven’t replied to me even after more than 4 weeks! I can’t believe they tolerate such incident where a member of their staff deliberately deceives a patient and humiliates him! This is so rude and unacceptable! Terrible customer service! It’s pity as they have good doctors working there, they should be supported by a staff who at least respect patients-not treat them in such awful manner!

The worst clinic I have ever been to.

Located at University, you have this naive taught that their first priority is the well-being of students, but all they think about is taking as much money as they can. As an international student, I have my UHIP and beneficial plan. I have been to 4 different clinics before, and everywhere was tried with respect and kindness. And all the time, my visits to walk-in clinics were covered by UHIP.
But at this clinic, they told me that my coverage is around 80% or 70%, so I need to pay a difference, and also, I need to register and pay for every particular problem I want to discuss with the doctor. Okay, fine, I can go with it, but when I spoke with a doctor, he only made it look like what I was asking was something unreasonable (the issue was a skin problem). He barely wanted to give me a referral and was trying to say that it was just because of masks, saying all the time you can always put cream. (spoiler when I visited a specialist back home, I discovered that my problem needed to be treated, and it wasn't my imagination). Then he finally did a referral (he told me it could be up to 6 months again trying to talk me out of it). So now it's been more than six months I didn't get any confirmation at all. So after the visit, I was left with a few dollars less in my bank account, and a horrible aftertaste that all my problems were nothing and a feeling that I don't understand anything about my body and its comfort.

WORST MEDICAL CENTRE I'VE BEEN TO! Doesn't even deserve a 1 star. I was having few difficulties and i had to stay there for more than 3 hours to meet a doctor. Although i tried asking the receptionist a few times he kept saying there are more patients even though they came after me.
Thank you for wasting my time.
Didnt even get to meet the doctor i gave up and went cus they closed.

I made my last visit to Appletree on Tues, Feb 7,2023. Dr Laham is a great doctor and I had always been pretty happy being a rostered patient here, but unfortunately my visit was absolutely ruined by the office staff (everyone but the doctor) and I will be switching out of Appletree.i was most taken aback by the average sized young white male with black round ish glasses behind the desk - I walked up to the desk where no one was waiting and said "Hi! " and he immediately snapped at me, "ok no you NEED to give me a SECOND. ". Uhhhh ok dude like all i said was hi? And he of course never actually ended up hearing or answering my question.like so rude and for what? I hadn't even spoken to anyone yet! Also keeping in mind i was a registered patient and i had already been waiting for 1hr40min at this point.it was just totally not appreciated.he was also wearing extremely unprofessional clothes.then, when i told the young indian woman with brown hair that i needed to sit down after 2hrs standing and waiting, the outstanding employee suggested I run and take some lady's seat- beside her husband- when she got up for a second to grab something didn't pan out great.finally, when i had been waiting for 3 HOURS and standing most of the time, the young asian man told me there was two people ahead of me. I then watched another EIGHT people go before I was called! Like come on! I kept telling myself at least he wasn't quite as rude as his coworkers, but.when i finally started feeling that 3hr+ wait and asked why six freakin people essentially jumped the line and went ahead of me, he rudely stated they were seeing Dr. Ko. Ok that's fine and all but then why is one doctor seeing six patients in the time the other saw only two? !? ! Didn't end up seeing the doctor until the 3hour 45min point of my visit.was in tears:)

overall i very much DO NOT RECOMMEND unless you want to spend almost FOUR HOURS of ur day standing around while multiple strangers who are supposed to help you just speak rudely to you instead.and alllllllllllllll of that, just so you can have a 2 minute appointment that u can get anywhere else for way less trouble

Absolutely worst clinic. Booked appointment for 4: 45pm and couldn’t see doctor for until 6pm. Legit what’s the point of appointment. Finally, got in Dr. Ko, Ricardo legit took 3mins to get done with stuff and rush everything just so, he could leave on time.

Even 1/5 is a lot for them. The most horrible service I could get. The young lady behind the counter is so irresponsible. It was our first time visiting this clinic, when we arrived I asked her how the process is working here and if the doctor is available today for an appointment and she told me just stay. My pregnant friend and I stood there for more than half an hour. And there were like 7 of us standing in a line. Since no one was called to go and visit the doctor, I asked her how long do you think it will take and shockingly she told us "Why are you waiting here? Doctor has no availability today" and she told this to all of us standing there in a sarcastic way and she even laughed!
I would never go back here and I recommend nobody to go there until they provide this kind of service. It's a shame that the nearest and only clinic around York campus is this horrible one. I hope university or even the manager will care more and make a change!
*My first (and last) visit was around 1 month ago.

Quite simply the worst clinic in Ontario. Doctors are fine. Literally everything else is criminal-levels of neglect and dishevelment. If you go here with anything less than minor ailment, archaeologists will find your skeleton remains still waiting for your doctor eons later.

If you value your time don't waste your time at this doctor's office. I have been a patient here for 3 years, and I only book appointments to see my doctor.

When I first started seeing my doctor, I would usually only wait 20 minutes max. During my last three visits, including today, my wait time has been 2 to 3 hours. This is an unacceptable wait time for patients who have took the time to make an appointment.

Trust me, save yourself the time and find a different doctor's office.

Wait times are absolutely ridiculous. Online wait times are never accurate. I’ve waited over an hour for the doctor to sign a piece of paper. I don’t need any form of care. ALL I NEED IS A SIGNATURE. The receptionists are cold and unwilling to help you or answer any questions. Avoid coming here.

Apple tree scheduled a specialist appointment for me for a Saturday. I waited 3 months for my appointment only to arrive to the empty office. Turns out the specialist’s office is closed on Saturdays. I’m not sure how one can be so incompetent to schedule an appointment for a day when the office is closed. I wonder if they still got my ohip money for this? !

Waiting time is about 1 hour, rude staff, poor service; rooms as if you were in the middle of 80th. UHIP doesn't cover walk in visit completely, only partially. So, you have pat extra 15 CAD from your pocket

Terrible organization, technology is lacking, appointments are hard to come by. When you come in person there is ridiculous wait even if you have an appointment. I’m stuck with them because my family doctor of 20 years is with them, that’s the only reason.

Difficulty breathing, chest constriction, feeling like going unconscious and pain in lower back and torso. Everything increasing while lying down so unable to sleep. Got a negative self Covid test, no coughing, sneezing, fever etc.so wore a mask to the clinic, paid the copay. And.they only heard difficulty breathing, told to wait outside, the doctor will give a phone call. No tests whatsoever, not even a basic blood pressure test. On the phone, told me if you are going unconscious you should call 911, we can't do anything. Wrote prescription for a pepper spray that 'may' open up airways, without even seeing me once. What's the point of this clinic if the doctor doesn't see you, you can't get any tests, nor be referred to a specialist? What kind of doctors take your money and don't even try to save your life?

My first experience three months ago was pretty great. Although long waiting but the doctor and reception were responding. However this time was awful. Doctor Robert Laham did a good job on my injury diagnose and provide a great suggestion. But there’s a female reception was really rude. Impatient with answering questions and injections. My arm is congestive because I was trying to lift my sleeve, she said it’s gonna be a lot of blood but still did the injections without concerns. I told her I faint at the sign of blood but she didn’t show any cares. (Friendly reminder: don’t forget to wear a short sleeve shirt if you are going to do the injection)

There is one female staff that doesn’t listen to people at all even though I just wanted to ask if they can fridge the vaccine and she totally ignored me. No one is at the counter forever, so you can’t ask if you have any question. Also, the waiting time is very very long.

I had a really good experience. First time here so I registered at the kiosk with OHIP. Wait time was quite long, probably because there was only one doctor at the time. The nurse was very nice. I met Dr. Meradje; she was nice, thorough, and answered any question.

Booked an appointment and was fully ghosted by the doctor without notice, a phone call from the receptionist, or nothing. Not sure if it had anything to do with me being trans, since I was upfront about that when booking the intake appointment, but either way, don't waste your time.

This place sucks. There is only one doctor working at a time. Mostly only accept family doctor appointments. Not accepting uhip for virtual care. Their online portal for appointments only have very limited options. The walkin wait is ridiculously long. People are friendly but they have no one at the front desk for most of the time.

Had a doctor FORGET about me here and leave without writing my prescription. The absolute worst walk-in clinic. Came on a weekday at a time that there was nobody else waiting, and was taken to a room and had to wait for around 45 minutes. Spoke to the doctor for 1 minute and then he left and I waited another 45+ minutes, to the point where I walked out and asked the front desk staff what was taking so long. They all looked surprised to see me and said the doctor had gone home, and went to check the printers at the clinic saying he must have left the prescription there. Turns out he did not in fact even write the prescription, and the staff said they would have him call it in to my pharmacy the next day. Avoid at all costs.

Having an appointment I came here, the front desk charged me for the visit and told me that she is going to call my name soon, however I had to wait for one hour more until she does that!

Finally she called me and now It's more that 1 hour that I am waiting in the room!

20 min ago I went out at asked, I was told the doctor had an online appointment and is coming to my room.

I had to wait another 20 minutes. If I had been told I need to wait for around 3h I would have thanked and left.

Absolutely terrible service, which is what happens when you let a corporation take over health care. They've taken away the ability to make appointments unless you're one of a select few. The rest of us have to wait 4-5 hours for a 2 minute appointment.
The only reason this clinic has survived this long is because it is on the York campus and it is one of the very few clinics that accepts international and out of province students in North York. If it were anywhere else in Toronto it would fail spectacularly.
York really should get their priorities straight and run a clinic themselves like other Canadian universities. Healthcare should not be based on pure capitalistic greed.

Doctor Robert Laham shared with me the experience of an acute shoulder injury. Slightly poor measures taken to elevate sharp pain at critical times/reduce stress which triggers frustration. Great work in connecting me to proper specialists and requesting advanced imaging despite a sense of disbelief in the nature of the reported injury prior to the availability of image records. Would recommend for proper therapeutic referrals to illnesses and test orders that don't involve pain relief prescriptions or medical advice on cautionary practice to prevent greater damage and discomfort.

I had a torn muscle in my leg and went to get it diagnosed. They sent me off to an x ray tech after almost 3 hours of meandering around and not only that, the doctor was cold and impatient. If you hate your job then quit, buddy.

After I got my x ray tech I was told the doctor would contact me about my results.

That was last year and I still don't know how serious my tear is haha. Never ever come here.

Waited for two hours today. They put me in the room and I actually had to go out and ask someone if the Doc was coming. I did it twice. No courtesy even to give me a heads up that I had to take the afternoon off from work for an appointment at 1: 20pm. Honestly of the charts. We’ll see if there is a follow up: - (I ended up leaving as nobody knew the ETA.

There is a review that says not to go here even if you're dying. True indeed, because the secretary forgot to refer me to a specialist about my incurable autoimmune condition. I’ve been waiting for two weeks since my last appointment when the doctor said my labs were abnormal and that he would refer me to a rheumatologist. When I called the specialist because my symptoms are getting worse, I realized that Appletree didn’t send the referral. For two weeks, I waited unable to do anything because my body aches so much, and now my treatment is a lot more delayed. And when I finally got Appletree to do their job and send my referral, I had to ask to be referred to a different specialist since the wait time was way too long, and I was not having a great time with my illness here. It’s a progressive disease, and I needed treatment as soon as possible since our forgetful Appletree did such an amazing job and delayed it. Like my disease won’t forget its job as they do… Every day I’m just in more and more pain. Secretary refused because she couldn't be bothered to type a fax label addressed to another specialist and just left saying that she's busy. I had to go to a different clinic crying to be taken seriously for a quicker referral and a for a secretary who weren't bothered to print out the label. I don’t even understand how this is a proper clinic.

I was waiting for the doctor for an appointment that I made today for 10: 30am. I was waiting in the virtual room for more than 2 hours and meanwhile I called at the clinic for 5 times and they all responded that the doctor is running behind the time today so I'm supposed to wait. Later on, while I'm on the call for the 6th time asking the same thing in that time I get a call from a private number and she said that the doctor with whom I was supposed to have my appointment does not have a morning schedule ever. And I asked them that when I called 5 times to ask for the same thing why nobody said such thing before. And then after this long period of time. I was said that my insurance won't be accepted even though they have accepted it earlier for my previous 2 appointments.
Worst management ever. They didn't even bother to apologize for wasting my 2 hours.

Never go there even if you are dying. They abuse the system. They make you pay for unnecessary appointments. They don't let you see your blood test results unless you pay them. They are literally abusing the students who have no support and no where else to go if they live on campus specially in the pandemic when everyone is trying to have the minimum commute. The international students who have UHIP are getting abused by this clinic and this has to stop. It has been going on for years and no one is stopping them. They are just using the students to make money. If someone has a blood test there is a reason for it. They keep wasting your time till it's too late and the symptoms you had get worse. This clinic is the worst.

I get faster treatment for mundane issues at an ERurgent care clinic then this place even for mundane, non critical issues.
Waiting times can easily exceed 1.5hrs.
I am only here because I thought it was faster precovid and my YorkU school required i get vaccinesblood work at this clinic.
Thinking of changing my family doctor all together given they are not in sync with Ontario health protocols and wait times are abysmal, oh and support staff are hit or miss if they "feel" like having patience.

The worst place ever. Don't waste your time going there. They don't even deserve one star.
They confirmed the appointment and I called them to make sure that the appointment is still present.
I arrived on time and they asked me to check in after confirmation of the appointment, confirmed with them the check in, wait, wait, wait more than 1 hour and half, when I rechecked to see when my son will see the pediatrician, they said there is no paediatrician and the appointment was cancelled.
Disappointment to my family and my family was more exposed to Covid-19 because of long waiting inside the clinic.

Sadly, it's not possible to give zero stars. Or negative stars. DO NOT COME HERE. I cannot emphasize this enough. My cat could deliver better quality health care and he has a 3 second attention span! Even if you have an appointment the wait time can be HOURS and there are literally signs on the wall telling you to stop complaining about how unprofessional they are (because clearly it's YOUR fault). If you phone for any reason, you get head office-not the clinic-and are directed to the useless patient portal because they can't answer questions like "where are my lost test results? " (get used to asking that question). There appears to be zero communication between the doctors and their corporate overlords. It's like they actively hate their patients. AVOID AVOID AVOID

I wish I could rate this place less than 1 stars. I have been here countless times because I live on campus and its the easiest place to access but I will no longer be going here because the service is truly HORRIBLE. I've come in twice to get my lab results, and I've waited over 2 hours. On top of that, the front desk staff offers little to no information to help you. They do not care about the patients. I will now have to go elsewhere and get this lab work done a 3Rd time because the first two apple tree messed up. Horrible horrible service. And if you are out of province or out of Country good luck, they know barely anything about how to proceed with this. The only good thing about this place is their gynecologist. And it has been 4 years and they have failed to try and change. DO NOT GO HERE

By far the best group of doctors I’ve ever seen. The waits are sometimes long, but the care is unlike any I’ve had before. They are supportive and very knowledgeable. I have had experiences with most doctors that work there, but Michelle Freedman in particular is wonderful.

Still haven’t seen a doctor.

The site said 30 minute wait. I’ve been here for an hour and 15 minutes (that’s 75 minutes!)

12 patients were in front of me in line so I don’t know why they said the wait time is 30 mins.

Does AppleTree really think appointments take 2.5 minutes per patient?

Even if you weren't sick when you came to the clinic, be sure that you will be by the time you get out. Sick of the wait times and sick of the lack of professional conduct by the reception and in-take staff. Specifically, I am talking about the middle aged lady with curly hair and an accent.

This is the worst customer services ever, I was told 8 people ahead of me and I will be seen in less than an hour. More than 10 people came after me and they were served before me.
It is a walk-in clinic first come first serve but not for this clinic, last come first serve. I have to wait 2 hours before getting served and this is after arguing with the receptionist for 3 times.

It's a big joke this place.
There's no sense of urgency whatsoever.
I was "refereed" to a specialist and never received a call from anyone, so i took matters in my own hands and called the specialist myself only to find out that the doctor hasn't been in that clinic for 2 years.
I have dangerous symptoms that can possibly be or lead to cancer and these guys are absolutely careless and unprofessional.
Oh i forgot to mention, i made an appointment at 3: 30 and i went in at 5 for 3 minutes visit.
My family doctor is there (Dr. Laham) and i've had enough.
AVOID this joke of a place.

Anybody complaining about wait times clearly has never been to a clinic in their life before and must think that they are somehow privileged to jump the line and get a 5 minute wait time, but this clinic is the only one on the university campus with a multitude of international students so what are you expecting really. Take some time to think before making a complaint next time, its easy to complain its hard to actually look at things objectively and not subjectively. All of the M. D. 's at this location are quite friendly and look into solving each patients issues as best as they can which is usually why wait times get longer since the doctors are taking their time with patients especially those that require longer attention; but again most people are usually only thinking about themselves.

Worst clinic ever across over province, front desk are disrespectful and just try to blow up your mind, and even appointment time start later than scheduled, they would still take the appointment people ahead no matter how much time walk-in people have wait, if you are the first one checked in, you are lucky or else if any appointment show up right after, you will have just wait until an unlimited time that no more appointments show up. Horrible place. International racist!

Rude and cold front desk and "technician" service. Expect to wait up to 2 hours, The doctors however are very professional and pleasant to deal with.
