This clinic only takes walk ins on certain days there was nothing left one place in this whole city! This country is broken

Avoid at all costs! Highly unprofessional, and do not care about you!

I was denied access to my medical records, when I was told they would be on my patient portal, and now I'm told I can't see them unless I PAY for another visit. They do not care about your health. Dr. Saini lied to me about my access to my lab results, and is now trying to make me pay again for another visit to see them. When I tried to call in, they said it was against "policy" to upload my results without seeing the doctor first. Which was not what I was told on my first visit, which they made me PAY for.

I am horrified that this medical group operates, so unprofessional, vey rude and condesending, and taking advantage of those who don't have family doctors.
DO NOT GO HERE!

If I could give a zero I would. Clinic to open at 9am on Sunday. Waited 40 minutes…. Still not open… no updates on website. How unprofessional can you get!

I was referred to Dr. Irwin by another Appletree doctor (Dr. Saini - very good and knowledgeable) for an infected cyst that was extremely painful. Dr. Irwin greeted me exactly at the time of my appointment. He took the time to talk to me about my concerns, what I was looking for out of this appointment, explained to me why I developed this and what he could do to relieve the pain. All that without feeling pessured by the time. He was able to completely remove my cyst.at my consultation appointment! I was simply astonished. Dr. Irwin really cares for his profession and patients. He does not make you feel like a number like all the other halthcare professionals. If you ever need to see a General Surgeon, you absolutely need to ask a referral to Dr. Irwin's office. I wish all the doctors were like him. I still cannot believe the amazing service he provided me that day.

Walk-in clinic and doctors are fine, seeing patients and answering questions, exactly what is expected. The issue is the apple tree website. It stated, and still states 5min wait time, yet I’ve been here for 50min and counting…

My experience with this location has been nothing but terrible and i could put a 0 star i would. I went there a month ago for a consultation, was charged 80$ for 2 injections for ankle pain. Few minutes after leaving the place, i realized the receipt that was given me didn't my name and i couldnt go back because 1- They were closed already (my appointment was around 7pm), 2- this location is about 30mins from my place and i dont drive. I immediately called customer service to signal my situation, the person on the line said he will call them and let them know and that by the next day i would get a solution. Waited to hear back, noone called me. I called customer service 3 times again but each time they will tell me they couldn't reach them on the phone or will call me back, nothing. On monday this week, i went back to the location because i had an appointment with the same Dr. I took the receipt along with me hoping they will modify their error. The lady at the reception said she couldnt help me with that and that her manager who could was absent. She made a copy of the receipt and said she will call her and promise to send me the corrected receipt by email. I waited 2 days, no new. Called back customer service and same answer as usual, the lady on the phone said she will try to reach them and call me back in an 1h.its been almost 48h she never called back. I highly disappointed and disgusted by the type of service patients get considering we dont have access to direct line numbers to reach these different locations. I need my receipt adjusted back so i can file a claim for that expense which in itself didn't make any sense.

September 2nd 2022:

Website states, registration begins at 8: 30AM, walked in at 8: 30AM sharp, was given a number by a random staff guy which was 18. Then staff said to line up like we are in highschool on the kiosk's to register.

By comlpete chance one lady in the clinic noticed a whiteboard stating "WALK-IN ONLY FOR FIRST 12 PATIENTS! "
She then asks the reception desk, confirming that the only 12 first patients registered will be seen.

Its basically "The Hunger Games" you need to fight to get ahead of the line to the kiosk, meanwhile the SAME staff are handing out numbers to people FULLY AWARE they will not even see the doctor.

I was number 18, what was the point of giving me that number when you have a rule of the first 12 patients will be seen? , what is the point? Was i supposed to clobber the other 12 on the head to take their spot? Is this Canada or did i teleport to some 3rd world village fighting to see a shamman for some goodluck beads?

People please for the love of god avoid this place, you have the right to decent healthcare stand up for what is yours, the federal government pays $8,000 annually per canadian, that is more than a privately insured US citizen with a more than adequate converage.

The service at Apple Tree is dehumanizing, its insulting to human life, the entire business model is built upon registering people to take OHIP payments on the list and always do walk-ins because it pays more to see a walk-in patient than a registered one. (Hence no appointments) please please please do not go here, do not enable them to keep abusing the elderly and young with inadequate care, and dehumanizing treatment. We deserve better, my dog gets treated better at the Vet compared to this place.

Worst service ever, very limited spots, no walk-ins even for prescription renewal.

After waiting 3 hours, the doctor refused to see a sick 4 year old because his ‘preference’ was to see kids aged 6 and up. No where on the website was this posted, and no where in the waiting room was this clearly posted.

Horrible customer service, horrible patient care from the physician.

Terrible 'customer' service (notice I didn't use 'patient' service). This doctor's office needs to change its attitude and realize that it's also supposed to provide service, not just healthcare to people. If you need to get in touch with your doctor at this facility, good luck to you. If you are lucky enough to have them answer the phone, you'll get the runaround and then be put back on hold for another half hour (or more). Their digital service (website) is not much better as I haven't received a response back to my reschedule request from two weeks ago. In addition, it's an absolutely filthy place! Dust, dirt and crud almost everywhere you look. If I could give negative stars, I would.

Not professional staff, rude with patients and not organized.let you wait days to tell you at the end we didn't pay attention it's overbooked.

This place is by far the worst experience I have ever had. I would not even give it a 1 STAR!

Everyday is something different with them, I just wanted to get a TB test done for work. I talked with the same receptionist the day before and I was told to come tomorrow its a walk in day. I go the following day to do the TB test before closing, and he tells me its by appointment only.

I don't understand this place, its like they are pulling numbers out of a hat and picking whether it should be a walk in day or walk in day with a appointment or a not walk in day.

This is a walk in clinic, I or anybody should be able to walk into this place and get treated, whether its a 10 min wait or 2 hour wait

Very un-organized!

Had an appointment here, no blood pressure machine at this location so they made an appointment with Dr. Romero-Sierro, who doesn't actually take appointments so it was just a giant waste of my day.

I was referred to this clinic for an appointment with doctor Khodabandehloo, orthopedic doctor, after I suffered a knee injury while snowboarding. I have a history of 3 ACL reconstruction surgeries in my ACLs after tearing them, so I've been properly examined by a fair amount of doctors before, and this was the WORST treatment I've ever received. Doctor Khodabandehloo had only a X-RAY (which DON'T show ligament/tendon injuries) and with that alone said I was fine, aside some arthritis. He didn't even touch my knee, he did NO physical exams to check for knee instability, swelling or ANYTHING. I was still in pain for over 1 month after the accident and tried arguing with him asking to be properly examined, but he rudely dismissed me and only gave a cortisol shot in the knee for the arthritis. Thankfully, I was properly diagnosed with a minor ACL strain by an Athletic Therapist in a different clinic later, and their treatment finally got me pain-free. AVOID this clinic and Dr. Khodabandehloo at all costs, they're just trying to get you out the door with the minimum treatment/attention possible.

Terrible, terrible, terrible service. After being told to come today for 7: 30am, I (along with a queue of people) had to wait outside in subzero temperatures until they opened the door at 8: 15. When we were finally let in, we were told the doctor didn’t show up today with no explanation. Words cannot fully explain how much I loathe Appletree, and I wouldn’t use this service if there were any other options.

Currently I don't have a doctor because of the shortage of doctors, just for a leg pain I have to come in person because they can not treat me virtually. I am here since 8: 15 am, last time I was told about 1.5 hr wait time, passed the 2 hrs mark and I was told to wait another hour. In the meantime I see people come in and out, getting treated and then paying. It is a very unreasonable set up. I can't believe our government allows this.

I had scheduled a Covid test a week in advance. I show up at the appointment time and no one is at the desk for 20 minutes. When someone finally comes out they inform me that they ran out of tests and redirect me to another location. Just awful, poor planning

People who complain have probably never been to a walk-in clinic before. You just need to show up early to avoid waiting for hours. I was seen by Dr E. Maric, who was very attentive and helpful. My only complaint is that there seem to be 2 entrances at this location. So, despite waking up early and standing in line outside for an hour, there was another group of people who was already inside. Plus, the registration kiosks weren’t working

I would not recommend this clinic! I drove from barrhaven to see a Dr. They closes at 6 pm when I got there at 5: 05 pm, there were 2 people waiting I have been told that they are close already and they are not taking anymore patients! Do not go to this clinic. No wonder it’s rated 1.9. Shame on you!

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE to get through to the dermatologist that works in that clinic to make or change an appt. I had to cancel an appt for a valid reason and I tried for several days to get through.nothing. I asked front desk to leave them a message they have not called me back to reschedule. Totally unacceptable service.

Best healthcare ive had in a while. I went here for a impacted ear with ear wax and could barely hear out the ear. Within 3 hours of waiting I was seen by a doctor and she cleaned my ears very nicely and gave suggestions for ear drops and more. Great apple tree, ive had bad experiences at other ones. This one is very nice!

Absolutely awful service, why book an appointment time if they are always running over 1.5 hours late. Why do I need to go into a doctor's office just to video call another doctor remotely and be told this service cannot be offered over the phone

Had appointment one day in advance but waiting time is still endless upon arrival! And no receptionist follows up the patient!

I did wait for a long time for my appointment, registered about 9 am and met the doctor around 2: 30 pm. But I really appreciate Dr. Maric and the receptionist. Dr. Maric is very nice and professional. She really thinks about my issues and refers me to another specialist. The receptionist is also very kind, she called me when it was close to my appointment. Thanks for their kindness and hardworking. Hope everything will go well.

I have no family doctor, so I've been coming to this clinic a few times only because I thought it was half decent compared to the other Appletrees. My recent experiences however, have been terrible! The staff here are below subpar in their service delivery, none of them seem to enjoy their job and it show's in their faces and mood and the way they talk and interact with patients! Just deplorable!
To add to this, one of their staff called me on Saturday and said their Dr. Maric would call me that morning, well she never called, I called back later in afternoon to inform that the doctor never called. Well turns out this staff member never even placed me on the list and it was too late as the doctor was not taking any more patients! So he booked me for a phone appointment on Tuesday, well the doctor never called.
I'm now at the clinic doing a walk-in and have been here now just over 2 hours! I came in at 7: 40 am, registered, and explained to the staff what happened, the staff said she'd talk to someone who could try to put me ahead to see doctor for the inconveniences, after one hour of waiting I go to ask whether I was placed in priority. Well turns out this staff member never even talked to anyone! I have spoken to 3 staff members so far to explain my situation, but nothing is happening, just decided to wait and from look of thingsfeel will be here for more than 4 hours. What stood out is how none of these staff apologized or tried to even assure me and even explain why the doctor never called!
This is the last time I'm coming to this clinic! I feel like standards of good service in the health industry are dropping everyday. It's so sad that an industry that once prided itself in being empathetic and caring to sick people is just getting worse by the day, with both medical staff, and doctors who just don't seem to care anymore.

If you've got minimum of 6 hours to WASTE and couple of unread books go to this clinic. Staff were so unorganized and unprofessional that mixed up between patients and their turns several times during my 6 hours there. Dr. Saini was terrible.she jumped to writing a prescription without listening to me to understand my problem and diagnosing properly.

She criticized another doctor's prescription (so unprofessional) and then gave me same medicine as the Dr she criticized had given me.
She lacked having an atom of empathy with me as her patient and
she didn't explain What was wrong with me.
She just jumped to prescribing medicine! That's it! After 6 hours of waiting all I got was 6 minutes with a terrible Dr who lacked the minimum requirements of being a caregiver. Such a shame.and waste of time.

These location is really worst among all the locations in ottawa. There is no use of appointment booking and even with appointment you have to wait for longer times. If you are really running out of time, please don’t come to this location.

My boyfriend came in to register at 10: 30am and was told it would be a 2.5 hour wait time, which wouldnt be that bad except for the fact that it's now almost 4: 30pm and hes still waiting to get in when they told him at 2: 30 there was 1 patient in front of him. Complete waste of time they dont even contact you to update you on wait times or inform you of any changes. Would never come back here again I suggest if you dont feel like waiting 6 plus hours for a doctor do NOT come here.

It ridiculous the customer service here. We came here this morning at 9h more than 30 patients came after us, served and went back before us. We went to ask and the customer care said « someone opened our file accidentally and served another one ». It doesn’t make sense. Instead of helping us, they said that there is still 2 patients that are about to be served before us again yet they all came after. This is 12h44, how can you guys explain this kind of favoritisme and systemic discrimination.
We patiently waited and more than 5 patient were served before us again.

Please stop favoritisme, racism and systemic discrimination. Treat all patients equally. I wish I should meet your supervisor cuz this is unacceptable.

Shouldn't be that hard to get a doctor's note in 1 hour.heck, even 2 or 3.

Worst staff they do not respect patients in this pandemic, they are busy in gossiping and do not help the patient really disappointed in this stay at home order they are not dealing in a proper way. Disappointed

I had a phone appointment with the doctor. Instead of booking a follow-up appointment in three months from now, I was told to use the website to book my own. I don't have cell phone or virtual computer so I called the "Call Centre" to make the appointment. When I told them I was calling to make an appointment for the month of June, they hung up on me. Now I will have to go to a clinic in person and ask them to make the appointment. A real waste of my time.

Registration is easy and the waiting room is well spaced out. The staff are super helpful and they do a great job cleaning in between patients.

So pathetic. Call for a review of my blood test. The person on the phone said book virtual care with doctor. What is this? It is business to get money from people. Why would i pay for additional virtual care just to review my blood work. The follow up is mandatory after they get result from the lab but it has been one month they didn’t review it. I don’t know what they are doing

Call with doctor dropped halfway through. No one called me back. Not possible to call the office or arrange a second virtual appointment same day.

The orthopedic in this clinic is so mean he tell you something but he write the opposite in his report be careful and don't trust this guy (doctor Khodabandehloo).

Doctor just casually FORGETS to file POST OP referrals and then won't get in touch with patient. Ok. Sure. Not okay.

My complaint is about the very rude girls that answer the phone, they way they talk it doesn’t feel that they work In a health care, they have no professionalism at all! They are loud, sometimes they shout at you i asked the girl that i was talking to today her name is luanne, she was very rude.

So long for each person and not much results at the end. In hospital was faster, really. Useless clinic, just went there because were no other options. I had feeling like they do operations there, not less.

I never wait too long and dr Tulli is the only one who found the right medecine for me after 13 years of not being able to control my disease.

I want to start off by saying that the staff here was excellent. I am not leaving a bad review because of any of them, they all deserve 5 stars.
I am leaving a bad review, because it was pretty obvious that they were understaffed. There was 2 doctors, for like 25 patients.how is anything ever supposed to move quickly when the ratio is like that? Now why would they be understaffed? Because Apple tree medical as a whole is only concerned with making money, not helping you. I would honestly never recommend appletree to anybody just go to the hospital or you local non apple tree clinic.

The automated registration and the wait time is the same for all the Appletree I visited. I do not understand why client complain. I was referred by another MD to get a lump removed under my foot. Dr. Irwin took care of it and his after surgery instructions were clear. 3 weeks later I am able to say everything healed properly, no infection. Thank you, Joanne.

Came in at 7, and there were two families waiting before me. After half an hour, one family went in. Another 45 minutes later another one went in. You can't tell me that this is reasonable? !

The worst waiting ever! You register online and then it says you have 3 patients before you. And you wait, I went to ask about my turn and they said wait a minute and we’ll talk to you! Very bad customer service very disrespectful

I called ahead and asked what was needed for a prescription renewal. Explain I was leaving for work and needed my meds before I left. I was reassured that all I had to do was go to any of their locations that were open and walk in. Drove an hour to the nearest one waited 20 minutes to talk to someone and was informed I could not do this at that location. Next nearest had a 2 and a half hour wait and it closed before that. I called to complain and ask why I was told what I was on the phone earlier and was hung up on.
Do not even consider ever using this company.
