Amazing vets that always show care for our pups. They staff is knowledgeable and very helpful.

I assist a friend bring her cat to this place! I was so impressed with Doctor Watson, that I inquired if he was taking new customers. He was very patient, kind and explained everything in detail!

The fact we considered leaving and finding a new vet in the middle of saying goodbye to our little guy speaks volumes. This is a cold, insensitive vet and if you can do yourself & your pet any favour, do not go here. More detail below.

We had to bring our 16-year old dog in yesterday to be put to sleep. Our family was really torn about this as it was the first dog we've ever had to say goodbye to. This vet still follows strict COVID procedures regardless of it being 3-years after our first lockdown. We called to be let in, immediately they mentioned how they were going to collect payment, and told us we could have 2 people in the room with him (while wearing masks). We entered and they were cold with no regard to the type of appointment we had. There were 3 of us - I waited in the hall while my parents went in the room to place him on the table and my dad said goodbye. My dad already told the receptionist he would pay prior to the appointment, but the receptionist asked me (this is the third time she mentioned collecting payment within 2 minutes of our arrival) if I wanted to pay. I let her know (what she was already told) that my dad would pay after he said goodbye as my mom and I would be the 2 staying in the room. After my dad left the room, my mom and I stayed in the room to comfort our dog. Amid loud talking and laughing going on in reception/back office, we did our best to comfort our little guy. The vet was 15 minutes late to this appointment which just prolonged the hurt. With both doors closed, we were saying goodbye, and were interrupted OVER 6 times by the vet staff telling us different things about how far apart we had to stand. We would follow their orders, then a new tech would come in and tell us something else.continued 6 times. The vet entered to inject the euthanasia and made a joke about a dog in the back not being happy about being spayed - this was not the time for jokes. We were not told how the procedure would happen when they injected him prior; but instead, while euthanizing our dog, the vet decided to share information very abruptly about how he might pee, poo, twitch, etc, as he took his last breaths. After he left us and we said our goodbyes, we left the clinic. Not a single 'sorry for your loss', condolence, etc, from the front desk staff watching us exit in tears.

There is another review on here speaking to a similar experience and how cold this clinic was when dealing with the death of a family pet. We understand that vet staff are desensitized to this, but I think bedside manners and compassion go a long way. I had friends tell me of their experiences where their vets lit candles, had a light in the front to tell everyone to please be quiet as families were saying goodbye, etc.

This clinic made an already difficult experience absolutely horrible. Will be sharing this information to whoever possible so we can avoid another family going through this.

Appointments mean nothing to this place. You still need to call to get in, and they make you wait outside until they are ready - full pandemic measures are still in place? The last two times I brought my dog, they were over 20 minutes late, while I was 20 minutes early. My last visit where the vet actually saw my pup they "didn't feel comfortable" with me coming to the door to pay the bill, forcing me to pay over the phone. My last visit (yesterday), after making me wait 40+ minutes, I finally left without seeing the vet; their time appears to be more important. My dog has recurring ear infections, and they won't issue a refill without seeing her which obviously costs more. They also won't give a year's worth of flea/tick medication. Prices have gone up significantly since we started seeing them. I'm switching.

Called in the morning to ask if they accept new patients I was told that they were and someone will call me back to let me know availability. No one called, I contacted them later in the day and after going through all the information process and being put on hold the receptionist told me that they were not accepting new patients.
This is a selective process that is implemented to avoid taking pets with an existing condition. Terrible philosophy and ethics.

I've been to vets all over the Burlington area for the last 30th years and none compare to these folks! They really care and I always feel well informed and then some!

The care here is outstanding. Sarah and Stewart are amazing and truly care about your animals. All staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. My experience here has been nothing but amazing and I would highly recommend this animal hospital. Thank you for your amazing care of my animals.

Stop curbside appointments. It's bad for the animals and it's bad client service. Let's move on from lack of services due to over-the-top covid protocols as the majority of the population is vaxxed and there are a handful of cases in the region! I don't need four phone calls and a hassle trying to pay in order to get through a quick appointment.

We switched to this vet lat year and have had a great experience. Both Dr. Stuart and Dr. Sarah have been excellent at their job and with customer service.

Great clinic! Would highly recommend Dr. Sarah and Dr. Stewart! Professional, kind, thorough and friendly, and so too their staff. My dogs are looked after incredibly well, and they never try to upsell any products or services or treatment. I am grateful for their care.

I cannot fairly review because I am not able to enter facilities to view service on my pet (which is quite scary) and the limited conversation that is transpired between staff and myself, all due to pandemic regulations

Took my lab in for a routine check-up, as she was limping from playing with other dogs. Stuart, are veterinarian checked her over and told me he has to recommend blood work, and x-rays oh, but she is in such good shape, he said if it was his dog he would take those recommendations but not spend all that unnecessary money.

It is very refreshing to see this type of professionalism and care from a veterinarian. There are vet clinics that are franchises in Ancaster where I live that try to squeeze every dollar they can out of you. That is why my wife and I drive all the way into Burlington to see this wonderful team and staff.

To say I highly recommend this company is an understatement. They treat our pets like one of their own, and their honesty and integrity is second to none.

Best place for Veterinary care! Stewart and Sarah Woolard are two of the most caring and compassionate people I know. I have trusted them for many years with my furbabies. They have cared for them from the time they were puppies, all the way to palliative care and have always been kind and compassionate. I live in Hamilton, but it is well worth the drive to Burlington just to know my pets are getting the best care they can receive ️

I love these vets, and they are wonderful with our dogs and cat! One of our dogs is special needs, and the vets are extremely patient with us. They were open to learning more about her condition, and have worked with us and her neurologist to keep her in good shape. It's incredibly easy to order our medication, and they have super affordable prices. They shopped around their suppliers for us when we were exploring a change to a more expensive medication to give us the the most affordable price.

I can’t say enough good things about this vet! First time here with my dog. Covid protocol does not allow you in the clinic. The vet took his time on the phone with me to explain EVERYTHING! 20 min call answered all my questions and did not rush me off the phone! 10/10

I am very grateful to have such a competent, organized, communicative and reasonably-priced vet & team so close. They do go above and beyond for their patients, and I never feel rushed or pushed into 'the up-sell' like you can with some small animal vets. Really great group.

Dr. Stuart Woolard is amazing! We brought our dog Ivy in today for her yearly shots. We weren't allowed to go inside due to COVID. Ivy can be a big handful when it comes to the vet. She has to be muzzled because she becomes aggressive out of fear. When I apologized he laughed and said it was part of the job. He took the time over the phone to explain exactly what Ivy needed and he was extremely honest. Im use to vets trying to pressure you into procedures just to make money and he did the complete opposite! I recommend this office and vet to anyone who wants honesty and kindness.

This is the vet you go to when you want someone who truly cares for the animals and what’s best for them. Dr. Stuart and Dr. Sarah are both extremely thorough and knowledgeable vets. They are kind and caring to your animals and will give you all options possible to help your dog, rather than just push the most expensive options on you. They have helped my dog with an infection that 2 other vets couldn’t figure out for me (after 3 rounds of blood work and 500$ pills). Using only the tests from the other vets Dr. Stuart diagnosed the issue and found a solution that actually worked from the beginning, and costed 1/10 of the pills I was given 3 times from the other vet. Both my dogs come here and I couldn’t be happier with the results. My one dogs diabetes is under control finally and he’s in good health after beating his infection. My second dog has been in twice now and both times were great. I had an emergency today which I needed to show up 15 minutes prior to their closing and they helped me and my dog out and he’s back feeling great. All their techs are great as well. Great to the pets and friendly when you talk to them. I truly appreciate there being people like the Woolards out there. It takes the stress off me as a pet owner knowing I have them in my corner. Thanks so much guys you are the best!

Dr Sarah, Dr Stuart and the entire team are amazing. They always go above and beyond and never make you feel rushed in appointments. I really feel they have my pup's best interest at heart. My dog's older and has many ailments and they have been incredible. Feel lucky to have them!

We had been taking our dog Tilly, to Appelview animal hospital for at least 12 years. The entire staff are all fantastic and dedicated. Stuart and Sarah always provided options and discussion. When it came time to put our dog down, the staff were incredible, supportive and kind. They made a tough experience a little bit better. Thank you Appleview.

The vet there is honest and straight forward. If a procedure is really not worth the time and money he will let you know. They are both great with their patients as well!

This husband and wife team (Sarah and Stuart) are amazing. Their techs are very knowledgeable. Been using their service for 22 yrs. They have an excellent rapport with their customers. They take the time to explain and answer any questions.

I love this clinic and Sarah. I have a four month old lab puppy and I went through three different vets before I found them.thankfully my neighbour recommended them to me and I’m so happy! When I met Sarah for the first time she was so kind, patient, knowledgable and she totally makes you feel at ease. My puppy loves going there all the girls that work at the front desk and with the vet are awesome. Sarah never pushes you to spend extra money she gives you all the options and you decide what is best for you. She genuinely cares about the animals and she took her time in explaining me everything that no other vet had done.i’m going to go here for my dog and I’m going to bring my cat over to them as well. Sara and Stuart are the best, they provide all the options, explain what each one is and recommend what your pet may need based on your life with that pet. This is my 3rd pup under their care and I wouldn't take Marley anywhere else!

Great techs and vets, I have four dogs and they all attend I feel very comfortable with leaving my fur babies in their care. Best Vet Clinic I found in Burlington. Large or small they are able to take care of all my dogs needs.

This review is way overdue. I was on a tight budget & they were so helpful & worked with me getting done only what was necessary for the time being (where as other vets were not as accommodating & overcharged for every little thing they could) Family ran clinic with really great staff & it's kept very clean.

I cannot believe the service I received. The staff there are so gentle and kind with animals. You can tell everyone there enjoys what they do. I'm so happy to be apart of this clinic that I'm switching my other cat from another vet to here.
