Irene and the Appliance Canada team were able to quickly get delivered a stacking washer and dryer team. Delivery was great as well. You cannot go wrong dealing with this team!

Great experience buying our new fridge. Kathleen Potvin was our sales specialist and she really knew her stuff. No high pressure sales, just a nice friendly conversation and great patience in showing us everything we wanted to see. She always was courteous and quick to respond to my calls and emails. The whole transaction was very easy and delivery was perfect. The guys took away our old fridge and brought in the new one in less than 15 minutes - very impressed.

THIS IS AN UPDATE. My Samsung range of $3K broke down after just 1,5 yrs; I called this store to ask if they could point me towards a technician as the Range is out of warranty (incredible eh?) and their answer was epic: "WE SELL THEM, WE DONT FIX THEM" and that's literally from the Customer Support Rep! WOW. Thx God these guys don't sell cars!
I cant believe thats the way you treat a $10K customer. Live & Learn. Next time I will go to Home Depot and pay less & probably get more.
Samsung played the "out of warranty" game too after more than 1 month calling them every week.so Who wants a lovely nice looking piece of junk for free?

I wish I can do 0 star. I bought all appliances for my new house from here. And then they delivered for me the broken dishwasher. I bought the new one over $1000 they send me the broken dishwasher. I come to store ask for return that and get a new one (dishwasher still not open. It’s new and broken so I can install). They tell me to call customer service but when I call customer service tell me to call samsung and then when I call Samsung, they tell me to call customer service again, so stupid. It’s been over a month they didn’t do anything. DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES HERE. ITS WORST SERVICE I EVER HAVE. IRRESPONSIBLE

Just had a very unpleasant conversation with Kathleen. She has helped us over the past months on a few seperate occassions deciding which range for our newly built home which is not complete yet. We're looking at ranges anywhere from $10-15,000. This is quite a big purchase so yes we're going to make sure of what we want. She gave me one price a week ago for a unit telling me the cream color would be 1200$ more. Today when finally making our purchase. She tells me she can't honor that price it's going to be a few hundred dollars more. Which this price is now more than Corbiel or Canada Appliance. After saying this hoping she would honor her price, And she could get the sale. Instead she tells us to buy it there then rudely.and went on to complain that she's paid by commission and having to help decide since May. She needs to work on her patients if she's going to be in customer service. Today her bitterness cost them the sale. We will now purchase elsewhere ‍️.

The service before purchase was great, the seller was patient and helped us with selections. The price is also very reasonable. I was satisfied with it. However, the after-sale service was disheartening and only the delivery time was precise and speedy.

I paid for the removal/pickup of my old appliance (an oven), yet the delivery men refused. With the only reason being the oven was too heavy for two men. My husband and I offered to carry down the oven together with the delivery guys and they still refused.

I called Appliance Canada after I let the delivery guys leave, the reasoning from Appliance Canada was I didn’t disconnect my old oven from the plug. I cut off all the power, and I made sure the oven was able to be pulled out from the wall before the delivery.

I’m writing about this because I specifically asked if Appliance Canada could help me remove the oven from the wall, the seller said yes, and that I just need to disconnect the power. Logically, I thought I just need to cut off the power of the oven. Since, if I were to unplug the oven, I’d need to remove the oven from my wall. After I’d done that, why would I put my oven back into the wall only for Appliance Canada to remove it from my wall again?

When I was buying from the store, I addressed the issue of not being able to lower the oven to the ground, hence the request of their removal service. What I got was a mix of incompetent of after-sale services with a third party and miscommunication from both me and the seller. Apart from the aftermath of my purchase, all parts pre-purchasing was great.

Great customer service. Jesse was wonderful, very helpful, attentive and knowledgeable. Delivery service is excellent and in most cases in a couple of days. I would say the best appliance store in Ottawa. Good stock and prices.

My girlfriend and I stopped by the store to get some information on appliances for our new kitchen renovations.
We were greeted by Jesse who was incredibly nice, patient and had the answers to all of our questions. Even though we are in the early stages of our build, he was more than happy to provide us pricing and answers. We will be returning soon, thanks again Jesse!

This location charged my credit card over 1800 for a dishwasher. The ordered was cancelled by the manager. I am struggling to get them to refund me. Customer service will not respond. I will be calling the credit collections agency soon to report them.

Poor Customer Service - Zero Communication

We purchased four appliances (refrigerator, double wall oven, dishwasher, and cooktop) from Appliance Canada in June 2021. Over a year later (almost 16 months now), we have still not received our cooktop (i.e, no place to cook in our kitchen for almost 16 month).

Worse, there has been little communication and zero transparency from Appliance Canada. The only update we have received, is when we’ve reached out ourselves (and every time, we’ve been essentially told “next month”). Appliance Canada has never proactively provided an update, nor have they attempted to provide a solution.

There has been no accountability on their end and the attitude has been a “meh” - and the tired “supply chain” excuse - anytime we have raised concerns over our delayed order. I warn anyone that is undertaking a renovation with any sort of timeline to stay away from Appliance Canada.

When purchasing my appliances the service and knowledge of the salesperson was great. I was very satisfied and happy I chose Appliance Canada. I completely understand that supply is not what it used to be and I am a very patient person.
I was told that if the appliances were not available when i moved in they would give me loaners. The loaner stove I got had two cook setting, burn or warm, and I had to go buy a small fridge because I never got one.
The refrigerator i wanted would not be available until next year so I picked another one which was substantially cheaper. I received my stove and fridge July 27 2022, and to this date August 31 I have not received my refund. I have emailed and called numerous times and was told that it was processed August 2, then august 22, on the 29 they told me they would take care of it today, still nothing.
I also have no date for my dishwasher and I have email a few times and just have gotten the run around.
I would never buy from this company again

Kathleen was our sales associate. She was knowledgeable however after the purchase, she never answered my calls or emails requesting updates on my appliances. She should have at least acknowledged my correspondences and told me to call head office however it was full silence from her. Also she confirmed that all my appliances were in stock, however we later found out they all dad delays of 8-12 months. Once I got ahold of head office, Rosa D.was a dream to work with. She called me with updates and made me feel like a valued customer. She escalated my orders given we had no appliances and managed to get my appliances in an acceptable time frame.
As a note: the Ottawa warehouse does not have space to store appliances if you are unable to accept them right away and they will sell your appliance to the next purchaser. This happened with our fridge and we were scrambling to find another one.

All the bad reviews here are correct. Please ask me if a manager ever calls you back from here. All I keep hearing is "the manager is on the other line", "the managers are in a meeting", literally no one calls you back ever.

Save yourself a headache, go to Universal Appliances. Read their reviews versus this place. I swear after you purchase your appliances, no one cares here. Everyone that works here is so angry and miserable all the time.

It's been a few days since my issue with them. No one has contacted me back from location management or from head office. Such bad customer service. I spent a fortune here, but no one can bother to call in a few days since I've been calling and leaving voicemails. I will edit/remove my reviews once I am contacted back and the problem is solved.

Purchased a GE stove one year ago, paid in full, but the stove has still not been delivered. Appliance Canada has not yet contacted us with an update or reason for the delay. We all know there are some delays with Covid (this is impacting everyone), but most businesses still let their customers know if they are no longer able to meet their commitment.

At the time we paid for the stove we were told there was sufficient stock and that delivery would not be a problem, and based our selection on this fact. If we had known this was a risk, we would have made a different choice.

Update: There was an immediate response to this review saying that the store manager would be in contact with us within a day, but it's been two weeks and we have not heard anything at all.

Bought all appliances from this shop! Dealt with Mr. Yash! He was extremely professional, polite and more than willing to accommodate all the requests we had! I could give him more than 5 stars!
The display lay out of the shop is beautiful!
All my appliances came on time as promised! I highly recommend this store.

Worst customer service ever. No one available to help and the 2 women at the front desk didn’t care one bit. If it’s this hard to spend thousands of dollars I can’t imagine how you would be treated after they had your money.
I would avoid this store. Lots of other great option. CAS across the street were terrific.

Please avoid this company. I purchased a full appliance package in Oct. 2020 - my fridge is finally ready to be delivered 10 months late, but they lost my deposit. The managers exact words were I was taking time away from his kids to deal with these issues. Horrible customer service throughout but now I need to sort out how they lost my deposit, because he is too busy with his kids to do his job. I really would shop elsewhere, I have bought appliance packages before - mom and pop shops definately provide way better customer service. Never again - Appliance Canada.

May be a reputable store but with zero customer service. Have a fridge on order since November. Set aside the pandemic and order/shipment issues, those are understandable. A complete lack of follow-up and customer service from a store that has your deposit is not. We have received one or two follow ups which have to be prompted by the customer. So far we have had to contact them every second month for an update. The update doesn't change. We have apparently been in the #1 spot on the order list for a few months at this point and have the oldest order on record for this particular fridge. Where is the customer service? Attempting to contact the company as of late either via the corporate phone number, the direct number to the store or the direct extension to the store manager simply results in voicemail.

Update Oct. 2020: Unfortunately the delivery date for the Fisher Paykel refrigerator we deposited on back in December for Aug delivery continues to be pushed back; this time we were told hopefully November. It looks like Fisher Paykel is a large part of the problem. Staff did refund the deposit when we decided to give up on this fridge and go another direction. I will say that we were glad to be able to purchase Bosch dishwasher and induction range through Appliance Canada- the brand was not available at all stores we visited. We have appreciated the staff's professionalism throughout- I would only advise to ask a lot of questions, and often, about delivery timeframes if you are thinking about purchasing Fisher Paykel.

Aug. 2020: We placed an order for and deposited on appliances in December 2019 for our kitchen reno taking place eight months later. We carefully considered our choices with the help of a sales rep. Appliance Canada requested and accepted the full remainder of our payment two weeks before the delivery date to “confirm” delivery. The day before the delivery this past Thursday they called to tell me the fridge I ordered will not be arriving for at least another month and a half. Nothing was communicated before this and nothing has been offered to rectify the situation— I demanded a refund of the “delivery” installation of my payment, which should never have been requested or accepted in the first place. They said they “may” be able to loan a fridge in meantime (though loaners are apparently hard to get since they apparently have so many customers with unfulfilled orders?) but the loaner is not the dimensions of what we ordered, and few fridges will fit the dimensions currently being built into our cabinets. I realize COVID is a challenging context, but they now say they have been experiencing issues with stock since June, and they chose not to tell me my order wasn’t coming until it was too late for me to do anything about it. Maybe time for a new business model where you don’t take people’s money for products you can’t deliver. Hoping to be able to update with more favorable info if/when this situation is rectified. Until then: I would NOT recommend shopping here in spite of the facade of helpful and knowledgeable sales staff.

Been here many times, save yourself time and headaches and ask for either Mohammed or Vincent- they are outstanding salespeople. Excellent deals - be sure to check out the floor models that may be on sale. Delivery and installation was great- they have an app so you can track where they are on the road, and installation guys were very friendly and efficient. Removing one star due to inconsistent sales service with staff other than the ones named above.

Was there a reception desk? I guess not. No one ever pick up the phone or call back. I’m so sad to see a bunch of delay after order some appliances there. Yes, it’s covid but too much. I would never recommend this place.

UPDATE: we have come to recently learn from other companies that the reason for the delays are not because of what Appliance Canada says they are (lack of parts to build the fridge because of coovid). It is in fact because they would lose money giving us a fridge that now costs MORE than what they offered it to us for. Their scam game is to wait until the customer CANCELS their order or until the price of the fridge drops again for them to deliver it. We learned this after being told the factory that makes these fridges is MAKING AND DELIVERING to stores across ottawa. This is extremely concerning.

Original post.bought a new home and ordered all of our appliances from here. We thought everything was well until our fridge kept getting delayed. We moved in August and were supposed to have all our appliances delivered the next day. We are STILL waiting for our fridge today, it has been over 6 months and it continues to get delayed. Other places have this fridge in stock, and the kicker is they DON'T do returns and refunds. Never. Ever. Again.
