I bought my first home and was so anxious to renovate it especially given the rates of other GTA renovators I looked through. After weeks of research, I felt most comfortable with A&R based on how helpful and thorough they were in my free estimate/consultation and setting my expectations with my given budget. I wanted to completely gut and update my entire home, which is a huge project to take on, but Alex was well equipped for the tasks at hand.

The professionalism and quality of work far exceeded my expectations and truly made my new house feel like home. I will forever recommend A&R Reno’s to all my friends and family.

My bathroom and kitchen were very out of date and needed a serious revamp/renovation. I ended up going with A&R Renovations and am very glad that it was the perfect choice. Alex was knowledgeable and answered any questions that I had. He stuck to the budget and was very punctual. He helped me with the reno process from beginning to end, his guidance in the design process, the entirety of the renovation process, and years of experience made it so that the reno went very smoothly. We decided to do a major reno on our main floor, removed walls which were load bearing, new kitchen, floors as well as bathroom floor. We also updated our basement kitchen. We did a lot of research to help with this project as our house was over 60 yrs old we were quite anxious and worried as you can imagine. We chose A&R Renovations, after interviewing and alot of searching and we couldn’t have been happier with the results. Alex was professional the quality was excellent. There were several trades involved in the overall construction and Alex made sure the work was coordinated so that there were no delays and kept the work flowing so that it was completed in the timeframe he initially gave us. He did a wonderful job and was always willing to answer questions. I highly recommend A&R renovation and would definitely be contacting them again next time we need some work done on my house.

We wanted to modernize our home because it was looking dated. We found Alex and really enjoyed his approach to renovations and the level of experience he shows. I believe he said he’s been in the business for over 25 years. Alex did our complete home renovation, including our bedrooms, bathrooms, basement, kitchen, the works. From beginning to end he was on the job site every single day, he ensured every inch of the process had his purview and handiwork. Overall I would 100% work with Alex again.

We hired Alex for our entire basement so that we could rent it out. We had an unfinished basement for years but were worried about horror stories we had heard from our friends about the quality of work out there. Alex came and gave us a free estimate, talked us through everything and let us have as much of an active role in the process as we needed to feel comfortable. The quality of his work is impeccable, but his standards for his own work comes even above that somehow. My husband and I are exceptionally happy with how our basement turned out. Alex of A & R just helped us to renovate 4 bathrooms and a laundry room. It was a big project, and with Alex's advice ahead of the project, we were able to prepare and select the proper materials with quality and within budget and timeline. Our old bathroom was in desperate need of an overhaul so we called Alex. This is the third big job Alex has done for us and it's the third time we are more than satisfied with his work. Alex is pragmatic, hard-working and true to his word. He even worked on Christmas Eve in order to get our bathroom finished before New Year's Eve. He's the only person we'd go to for work on our home. He is highly recommended!

Contract was clear and easy to understand. All work was listed with the corresponding cost.

We booked an airbnb for 4 weeks and Alex was able to complete the project within that tight timeline and budget.

Alex was onsite everyday. Communication was excellent. We were given many progress updates and Alex would call if there were any issues.

The work that was done shows you that A&R Renovations with decades of experience and a strong sense of professionalism will take the time to ensure everything is done right.

Total Reno of 2 Bathrooms
We were looking for a reliable & reasonable renovator to completely overhaul our two upstairs bathrooms - we found Alex and A & R Renovations. This was our first semi-major renovation and we were nervous to entrust our home to a stranger. We did have quite a few quotes before we contacted Alex - but didn’t get good vibes and all gave us totally “ out of our budget “ quotes. We really thought we were not doing to be able to do our Reno. After reading all of the great reviews online - we called A & R Reno and are so happy we did. Alex put us at ease with his knowledge - skills and willingness to work within our budget.

Alex dedicated all of his time to our home. He came each day / worked quickly and efficiently and cleaned up each day. In less than 15 days - we have two beautiful brand new bathrooms. Top to bottom - new floors / tiled walls / new walk in shower / bathtub/ plumbing / vanities/ trims/ lights and accessories. We can’t say enough about how thrilled we are with the outcome. Everything ran smoothly beginning to end / not one hiccup!

Working with Alex was the best experience we could ask for. He was extremely attentive to what we were looking for, gave great recommendations for pieces as we were looking for them, and was very communicative throughout the whole job. Alex walked us through the renovation daily to ensure we understood the process and if there were surprises, he documented them and explained proper the course of action.

As we were living in our home during the renovations, we were incredibly impressed with how conscientious Alex was about our space.

Alex redid our kitchen, powder room and main washroom and we're beyond happy with how everything turned out. We're thinking of doing some other work in a few years and it's no question that we would call Alex again.

We hired A&R Renovations Inc.to finish our basement. They were the lowest quote we got (out of 4) but had great reviews and we were confident they could complete the work. Before beginning construction they replaced and rerouted the central air vents, upgraded the main waterline in to the house from the city and relocated two floor drains and the hot water heater. All of the subcontractors did an outstanding job. They were prompt and courteous. When the infrastructure upgrades were completed and Alex's team began their work they were efficient and extremely neat. They worked quickly and always clean up the space every day before they left, even though we weren't using the space and they would be back to remake the mess the next day. If they came up against anything unforeseen during the day they didn't hesitate to contact us to ask our opinion, rather than deciding for themselves. They were also always happy to pause their work to answer any questions we had. Due to a problem with a supplier the finish date of the work got pushed back. Unfortunately this meant that Alex's team was finishing the work on our job while beginning another job and they weren't available to work on our project full time. In the end we were very happy with the work that got done and would easily recommend A&R Renovations.

Punctual, professional approach to their work and trustworthy. We were doing a complete bathroom renovation in a century house, and with it the complications that will happen in an old house. Alex and his team demonstrated their experience and skill level and my wife and I were very happy with the results, considering they had to work in a 7 by 5 foot space. Always give you options and recommendations along the way. They keep you informed in every step of the renovation process, a 10 out of 10! Will be using them again as our "go to contractor" in future.

We found Adrian on this website and were lucky enough to have him fit in our renovation on such short notice which consisted in a full build up hair salon, full basement and main floor.
We had a very tight deadline to complete the work. Adrian and his team ensured that not only was everything completed ahead of schedule but also with the highest of quality, attention to detail and excellent communication as to what was being done and when. Even when faced with small unexpected issues Adrian remained calm and professional and offered alternatives and much appreciated suggestions. And never once did his initial quote change.
