Arabesque Family Restaurant

We did the take out family meal. Thr rice and toppings and salad were all excellent but the chicken was overcooked with hard burnt bits in it like scraping the bottom of a pan kind of bits. Maybe just caught them at a bad time. We still ate most of it but hopefully better next time.

Disappointed. Food was great, but I sat waiting for a friend and no one followed up with ne or took my order or asked if I had questions for over 40 min. I never got topped up on coffee or water during my visit. Really wanted to like this place based on reviews but I’m disappointed by the service

It’s one of the most recommended places places in town staff are so helpful and great customer service great prices also I found out even if the customer was in the wrong the staff were polite and helpful thanks for the great experience and I’ll come again with a bigger group for sure

For the best party If you have a big group or small one and you need to make sure that they’ll have the best food and experience make sure sure you come to this place prices are very reasonable for the portion you’ll get a lot of food and great service I was in with 14 adults and 4 kids they’re full house and still our waitress Zahra made sure we have everything fully no mistakes or forget anything she’s was awesome helpful every every polite which’s gives me the motivation to come in next time thank you Arabesque and thank you Zahra specially

Authentic and delicious food! The portions are very generous and we enjoyed the falafel and shawarma platters and fresh pita! The service was fast and friendly.

This is by far the best restaurant in my neighborhood and I would say it's one of the best in Kitchener. Everything is so well made and fresh. The Baba Ghanoush is the best I have ever had, and not one drop of garlic sauce ever goes to waste. Would comfortably recommend to anyone for takeout, done in or catering.

Heard a lot about this place so decided to try it out. Unfortunately, we won’t be coming back. It is way too overpriced! The portion size is also super small! The servers don’t fully inform you about the prices of extra items. We asked for extra garlic sauce and on the menu the listed price was $1.99, we pointed to the item on the list and ordered it. On our bill it was listed as $8.99! For a small plate of garlic sauce! Are you kidding me? The food was good, but nothing outstanding, which is a shame given the price.

Been looking a good middle eastern restaurant since we moved to the Cambridge area and this is the best one so far. Portions are huge and great food. Ordered the Dip sampler and each dip was awesome. Entree was the chicken kebab platter - chicken and fatoush were really good but rice could have had a tad more flavour. Fresh pita to go along with everything. Staff is super friendly. Will definitely be returning for our regular middle eastern fix

Stopped by today for takeout. I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap, my wife ordered the falafel wrap and a large order of fresh cut fries. Wraps were huge, fries were plenty. Absolutely delicious Service was quick and friendly. Will definitely be back.

Love the shawarma wraps. So filling David and I shared one for a Friday night date! I appreciate the online ordering tool. It is thorough and helps them ensure they fill orders accurately.

Love the 4 dip platter (you can choose which ones you want). Lentil soup is amazing and obviously the shawarma is great.

We love their chicken shawarma plate take out. It feeds both my wife and I and we have been loyal customs for years!

This is my favourite place for takeout. I love that i can order online, the service is always fast and friendly and nothing beats that smooth and creamy hummus. Also their garlic sauce has no comparison, its authentically delicious! Pro tips: if you like pickles / pickled turnip, order the side, but skip the peppers if you don’t like spicy. Chicken shawarma is my absolute favourite plate and with rice and a salad you can’t go wrong.

Edit: I’m updating my review as I ordered takeout again the other day and was thrilled to see environmentally friendly containers. Thanks again Arabesque, you have the best shawarma in waterloo region!

Food is great but their hot sauce smells really bad and the delivery guy is very rude. Not going to order again.

Always delicious, always fresh. Great value for your money, staff is always friendly and helpful.

This place is a rip off 100%. Keep charging prices like this and you will lose all you customers.

Ordered two chicken Shawarma dinners with a few extras and it was amazing. Tender chicken, tasty rice, silky hummus. Love this place and will definitely be back.

Great quality food, great portions, all fresh and made in-house. Service was a bit standoffish, but it's understandable with how busy they are. They do not have dine in, unfortunately. I was told it might be an option next month.

Have ordered from here several times - always busy, family run business. Try the Dip platter and order extra bread. Its awesome. Also recently enjoyed the mixed Shawarma with fatoush salad.

LOVE this place! So close to home & in a great convenient location. Their food is amazing, the garlic sauce is fantastic, I always buy extra! My favourite is the chicken shawarma plate with fattoush, and my fiance gets the mixed shawarma plate with red cabbage. The fried halloumi is also great.
My ONLY complaint is that they are only open until 7: 30! I have been working late at a vaccine clinic, and just wish I could stop here after work. Arabesque, if you see this, please consider extending your hours to 9PM.

Been here many times the falafel wrap was awesome, baba ganoush is phenominal as is the hummus. Always order here when passing through area.

Dry falafel, guy on the phone told me to order online instead of calling. Manaeesh zaatar is mixed with cinnamon. Not sure why this place went so downhill.

Excellent Lebanese/Mediterranean food. Can't go wrong with the chicken shawarma or shish towuk plates. Bread is fresh and tasty, including the hummus, which is always provided in abundance. Quality has improved significantly over the last few years. We will continue to be loyal patrons.

Omg. Seriously, this food is fantastic! The flavours are outstanding. The staff were also friendy and very helpful in helping us selection or food. My wife and I drove to a store in town and got hungry, gave this restaurant a try and we both are glad we did.

Whole chicken meals are my favourite here. It comes with a lot of food and tastes home made, indeed it was juicy and flavorful chicken. Everything came sealed in a big foil tray, steaming hot. Sides were great and large portions too. The price is very reasonable, for $40 bucks you get enough food to feed 4-5 big adults. I don't know where else I can get this much food for $10 bucks a person. Not even Swiss Chalet which tastes like salty processed fast food, you end up paying way more and eating way less healthy.

I have made frequent visits here. In my opinion they have the best middle eastern food in the area. My cravings are always satisfied!

They put a whole unpeeled onion on my plate. I’m not sure what to do with this, it’s not for eating I think. The onion flakes/skin can get in the food. Otherwise the plate was delicious

Amazing chicken and beef shawarma wraps. I want to thanks chef Khamza for this piece of art! Me and my children loved the crispness of the wraps and the taste of the chicken with your delicious garlic sauce. The fries weren’t that good, but not gonna complain after two hours of driving!

Always great! The food tastes fresh and the dishes are always abundantly portioned. I always look forward to the fresh pita and dip with my order. Ordering online is easy and the food seems to always be ready for pickup quickly.

Ordered the famous dip platter for New Year, along with the kafta and shawarma dinner plates. Don't forget extra pita and pita chips for your dip (made in house). Never fails to exceed expectations <3 The online ordering process is great too, even if they are closed you can place an order to be made later, and they always pay attention to the special instructions. Can you believe on New Years Eve, delivery arrived early - these guys are on top of their game!

Some of the best hummus I've had! Shawarma plates were delicious and came with ample amounts of that so yum hummus. Also came with some freshly made flat breads. Everything was warm and fresh. Dining area was closed b/c of covid, but would certainly want to try dine-in as this place has a nice atmosphere to it.

This family restaurant cafe blew my mind with its flavourful food and lovely atmosphere. We ordered the lentil soup, and no word of a lie, this was the best lentil soup I've ever had! The lemon added to it really worked. I'll definitely get it again!

Then we ordered the Beef Shawarma and Lamp Chop Loin meals. The food was excellent and the portion were so much that we have another meal for another day.

Definitely recommended for anyone looking for a nice meal with a Middle Eastern/Mediterranean/Arabic flair.

I forgot to review for this- it was first time I went alone for dinner. I had half bbq chicken and smoothie. I loved it but it’s expensive so if you are taking a bunch of people with you then order wisely

Very busy when we visited. Really good hummus and fresh baked pitas. Cookies are overpriced and dry but the baklava is great. Servers needed a little more direction from management.

This place is a hit and miss and the quality is not consistent I guess depending on the time of the day or the chef in the kitchen.
One day the quality is wow and another day when you order the same item the quality is below average.
The owner and the staff don't like to listen to the feedback.
I hope there will be someone to check the quality of the food before it's served.
The waiters don't do a good job follow up or fill the water even though the place was empty.
My visit today was really the worst experiences and I felt that I should comment so they will improve the quality of the food and service.

The food was delicious and the serving was alot which was good. But we were travelling all the way from far (around two hours away) and we had a 5 year old and a 2 year old. The wait time for the food was a little long and then it arrived the kids were already anxious. After having food, the kids got off and all they were doing was walking around (without touching anything) an almost empty restaurant while we tried to enjoy our meal. The waitress told us to make the kids sit down right away which was a little rude. Just because of that we had to stuff our faces quickly and leave to save ourselves from more embarrassment. Kids are going to be kids and my kids are not destructive or too noisy at all. The waitress clearly saw us trying to quickly finish our meal and we explained that we are coming from far. Customer should always come first and little leniency and kindness towards people with little kids should also be ensured amongst staff. Sorry but this restaurant lost a customer because of this.

Absolutely love the food here, especially the shawarma. I've also heard excellent things about their kebabs. I typically do not sit in the restaurant so I'm not sure how the atmosphere is usually, but the few times I have I have been satisfied.

EDIT: Originally posted as a 4 star review, but have had to deduct another one due to poor order fulfillment. I consistently order the same item (mixed shawarma with a specific instruction to leave out the hummus/sauces) and will usually receive it with hummus about 75% of the time. I have a very strong reaction to hummus so this unfortunately rather annoying to consistently deal with.

After having been multiple times and having introduced numerous others, Arabesque continues to impress each time. Great food, polite staff and quick service.

This is honestly the best Middle Eastern food I've had in the KW region! The quantity is more than ample and I almost always have to take some home. They have some of the staple homemade dishes that you don't always find at restaurants and that's a big attraction for me, personally speaking.

This place is amazing! Not really a fan of arabic food until i came here. The pizza shawarma is to die for.would defintely reccomend even if your not a arabic food lover.

Wow this place is popular. Totally packed on a Sunday afternoon. Great hummus, and the pitas were fresh and obviously baked right there. Even the fries were authentic. Took the waiter a few moments to get to us (the floor was very busy) but once we placed our order the food came pretty quickly.

The portions are big! Even the "small" rice is big. Definitely a fun place.

The food was delicious and big portions. Service was good. But I will give them thee because there was no MUSIC. I liked to listen to some beautiful Arabic music while having my lunch with family.

I had a chicken shawarma, which was very good, moist and great flavor, and the portions are quite large. Will definitely go back again as both my wife and I really enjoyed our meals.

We live in Milton and happened to be in Kitchener. We tried this place and were so pleasantly surprised. The food is absolutely amazing! Full of flavour and colour. The fatoush salad was the best I've ever had. And the falafel - hello! I can't eat falafel anywhere else. And what do they put in that rice because we want that secret recipe! Thank you Arabesque for showing us what authentic Lebanese food is like! Now we're looking for reasons to go to Kitchener again so we can eat at Arabesque again!

My wife and 3 year old daughter have ate here many times both dine-in and take-out. Our most recent visit was yesterday for lunch. We ate in their dining room. Same as always the had great service and amazing food. We got the dip platter and the spinach both were very delicious and still great the next day for leftovers. If you haven’t been here yet you must try it out. I am sure you will be more that satisfied.

We were only 3 ladies, order one family platter and one half platter, but service was so bad, only served with one platter and forgot to serve half platter, and when we finished our dinner a bullying server imposed that forgotten platter on us, very very bad man, we usually go to this place, regular customers but what happen yesterday was discussing, never saw that server before

Very nice place, food variety is good, food quality is very good, all the main dishes I tried there come with rice or fries, and salad, which is great.
The ambience of the place is very nice and very family friendly. One thing I did not appreciate though otherwise I would have given the five stars. When we finished eating the waiter brought the bill without is asking for it, which I found rude, as if we are being kicked out. What if we wanted a dessert or wanted to have coffee?
But overall the place is good.

My veal was tough, our cabbage salad was WAY overdressed and the servers were clearly overwhelmed. They most certainly should have staffed better for christmas. Also please offer more low carb options.

The food is fabulous with a great assortment of veggie options. The weight staff is very nice and friendly. The atmosphere is only average so it's not as fancy as the prices lead you to believe, but the hummus is worth the price tag

We did takeout for a large family gathering and it was really well received. Lots of variety in the kebobs and shawarma, plus the sides are already done for you with nice salads, amazing rice, and of course their signature hummus for dipping fresh pita.

I am very particular about my middle eastern foods and love trying new spots especially out of my area. I frequent the downtown toronto and scarborough area due to work and have had my fair share. I have been travelling to Kitchener/Waterloo more frequent as of late due to work and decided to try Arabesque due to its reviews.typically when a place has quite a few reviews i tend to be a lot more critical towards my review. Let me tell you.this food is absolutely amazing! I had the Chicken Tawook platter, and i almost started to cry. Everything was perfect. The chicken was perfectly cooked, the rice was glistening and fresh, the pita was fluffy (I believe they use a wood oven) and the hummus.the hummus is the creamiest hummus i have ever tried.it was not too thick nor was it too watery. The presentation was good as well. The place is typically busy (which is a good thing) but the friendly staff still manage to get you your order in record time. I would highly reccommend this place!
