First time at Arden’s yesterday to check out the great selection of guitars. I may say arguably the best selection I’ve seen- and I’m coming from the GTA.

Came back again today to pick one up after doing some additional research and also seeing that Arden’s in Kingston had stock of all the guitars I was interested in.

The staff are super friendly, inviting and we’re especially helpful to me in picking the right guitar for my needs.

Very happy with my purchase and the service! Very much looking forward to coming back again for all things guitar!

Great little music shop with a ton of entry-mid level guitar options.

Top drawer customer service and knowledgeability. We’ve worked with Dan a couple of times, and he has been awesome! Everyone is friendly and welcoming.

Very impressive selection of acoustic & electric guitars. Perhaps the largest drum selection around as well. If you are a Gibson electric fan, they recently expanded the wall of choices.
Nice to see a local music shop doing so well. Hat's off to the Arden's team - friendly and helpful folks.

Their online interaction could use a lot of work. In negotiating a significant purchase, they weren't friendly at all, and were somewhat arrogant. There are dozens of Canadian music supply options, and most will wiggle a bit when asked. UPDATE BELOW.

UPDATE: Their response clearly illustrates their poor business acumen. Blaming your customer for your poor customer service skills is never the smart route. Further, their response is mostly false and certainly exaggerated. While there was an exchange of a few messages, and the last weren't cheery, there was certainly no anger, "online harassment", or any "attack on retail workers". False and serious allegations like these, are clearly libelous. They'd now be well-advised to consult counsel.

Friendly staff and I purchased a wide bodied 12 string guitar after trying out the ones there. I will go back and visit them there

Went in, welcomed inside and to try out any guitars, went downstairs, looked around and immediately found guitars that interested me. Walked to the counter, great service and walked out with a new bass. Definitely coming here for my next toy.

I'm not one for writting reviews but my experience at the Kingston location this past weekend was so pleasant that I feel compelled to do so.
The staff is very helpful and courteous and Sean was particularly helpful answering all my questions and finding the answers to those that he did not know off the top of his head. Their acoustic guitar inventory is impressive. I could not find any store in the Ottawa area that had in stock all 3 guitars that I had researched and wanted to try out but I found them all here. Ironically I bought one that I had not even considered. Hopefully the case becomes available sometime soon:).
My son was with me and he had been shopping for an electric drum kit and wasn't planning on buying one but he was equally pleased with the service and ended up leaving with one.
I would highly recommend Ardens Music. Thanks for the great service guys!

Worst retail experience I’ve ever had. Our children bought my handicapped husband a small neck guitar because he was no longer able to play his wider necked guitar. Due to his terminal neuro-generative disease he was not able to play the new one either.
When I tried to return the guitar, having been away for a month and full disclosure~ this was well beyond the seven day store policy, the staff were cold and impervious to our situation and stated that they would take the guitar back and refund only half the cost of this brand new instrument. My husband had attempted to play the guitar for a maximum of 30 minutes.
I left the store in tears.
Shame on you.

This is a great music store with a wide selection of instruments, accessories and written resources. Also very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Definitely going back!

Brought in an electric guitar - had it expertly re-strung. I knew nothing about the guitar (an Ibanez) and learned about the string-through body, that it was a signature model for the band Mars Volta and Ibanez's technology to integrate (kind of) two humbuckers into one pickup to reduce hum. Learned a lot from Zakk - very helpful, very informative. I'm a relative newbie to guitars - and paying $20 and the cost of strings to have it done (versus me doing it) is well worth it. Very friendly, knowledgeable staff. Great place

Tons of selection, knowledgeable staff and great prices too! With multiple stores, lessons and online options they have local musicians and students covered. Great family run business.

Great spot. They helped me sort out my new Jacskon and get back to playing right away. Good to deal with people that care about music.

We have been sending our daughter for lessons (guitar) she is making tons of progress and having a great time. We love it here.
