Argyle Associates Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery - Barrhaven

From start to finish I felt at ease to have my surgery done. From booking initially online, looking at all the information on their website even the Dr and nurse for my procedure.
It seemed like they were very busy with the amount of bookings they had for the day but they never seemed rushed which put me at ease for my procedure. Nurse and Doc asked me a couple times if I had any questions even right before the procedure.

To the doctor, to the sedation - it’s the 2nd day since surgery and I’m in hardly any pain.

Everyone was so sweet but professional at the same time. Made me feel super safe and answered all my questions quickly and promptly when I called prior to the surgery.

Recovery for 4 wisdom teeth extraction went fast and there was basically no pain so they must have done it right. Super friendly.

The staff when my wife and I arrived at the Barrhaven location they right away asked us for our help. I mentioned that I had a surgery this morning on my upper left molar. They asked us to sit down and someone will be with us shortly.
Shortly they came into the reception room and brought me down to one of the rooms. I was asked to roll up my sleeve and they put in some needles. They also put a heart measure cuff in my right arm. I was moved to another room and I was knocked out for the surgery. About 2 hours later I was brought out of the sedation room and they removed the lines and placed a bandage on my left arm. They then asked me to sit down for 15 to 30 minutes. The following morning they called at our home at 7: 30am to make sure I was ok and if I had any problems with the list of things they left for me to use during the days. I used an ice pack for 20 minutes, then off for 20 minutes. I did this for about 6 hours. All of the information they gave me was easy to follow from morning to evening. A great place, great staff and did an great job on that molar. The next job is to put in a titanium post and have a crown placed on the pin.

Argyle associates are the exemplars of professionalism and competency. I'm older so unfortunately I have required tooth extractions and dental implants. Argyle Associates, Dr Moghadam and his staff have all been fantastic. Highly recommended

Great service at all phases of implant procedure. Very little discomfort. Quick and easy. Not need for anything but local anesthetic. And they followed up. Not inexpensive though.

On time, efficient and caring. My nurse made me feel very comfortable in prepping me for surgery. I felt nothing and the whole thing was over quickly, much to my relief.

My experience at Argyle was fantastic. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional, and I felt welcome from the moment I walked in. Dr. Irvine took the time to explain the wisdom teeth removal procedure thoroughly and answered all of my questions. The procedure itself went smoothly, and I woke up in the recovery room feeling great.

Nurse Claire and the other nurses were kind and attentive, and they made sure that I was comfortable throughout the procedure. Given my slight fear for needles, I really appreciated their efforts to ensure that the IV insertion was as painless as possible. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, which made me feel confident that I was in good hands.

After the procedure, I was provided with clear instructions for pain management and follow-up appointments. The post-operative care was excellent, and I felt that I was well-supported throughout my recovery. As of the time of writing, the side effects I've experienced are minimal.

Overall, I highly recommend Argyle for anyone in need of dental services! The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and professional, and they go above and beyond to ensure that patients feel comfortable and well-cared for.

It was a good experience despite being an unpleasant procedure. The medical staff were extremely kind and + supportive and this made the experience much less stressful for me. The nurse (Im not sure her name, she was blonde) told me lots of funny jokes before my procedure to relax me, it was very sweet!

All of the staff were extremely friendly. I had all of my wisdom teeth removed and was put to sleep for the procedure. I was afraid of being put to sleep but the surgeon explained everything in very simple terms and was extremely friendly and comforting. The nurses were also incredibly kind and made me feel completely at ease. The facilities were clean and comfortable, and I felt very well taken care of. My nurse stayed to talk with me for several minutes, I had a very pleasant conversation and it kept me distracted from anxiety so I felt safe. I highly recommend!

I had an emergency last week and this practice got me in as soon as they could and even moved it up. The front desk staff were friendly, welcoming and efficient and did all they could to assist in setting the appointment up and taking care of details. This makes all the difference when a client is anxious – and many are – about visiting the dentist. I was first seen at the Strandherd location then at Orleans. Both locations were top notch. My oral surgeon was absolutely excellent. The nurse and assistant were caring and highly competent. All in all, it was a positive experience and I can highly recommend this practice. I felt supported, cared for and valued. Very highly recommended.

Dr. Lee (and also his kind nurse Jean) made me feel much more at ease. His pleasant and professional manner was very reassuring. The facility is so clean and well run. I also appreciated the follow-up call the next day! Thank you to the entire team at Argyle!

Had my two wisdom teeth extracted here and it was a great experience as I don't remember a single thing about the procedure. One second I was awake, hungry, and nervous waiting in the chair and the next I was waking up in the recovery room asking the nurses 10x over if we were actually finished and complimenting how fast they were (felt like five mins but was a couple hrs). Dr. Irvine and the nurses (the only name I can remember is nurse Stephanie) are skilled and professional. Having a hard time with recovery but I had some wonky teeth and my stitches are holding up great. Hopefully this is my first and last time here, but for any large scale extractions I'd recommend this location.

Wonderful, kind and caring staff all around. They took such good care of my husband. All the aftercare was described in detail.

I had to have two wisdom teeth removed. Dr. Andrew Lee and his team are professionals. They did a fantastic clean job. Everything went seamlessly. I had a positive experience and would highly recommend them for anyone requiring Oral and Maxillofacial treatment.

The general appointment was great, however I was scheduled for 11: 30 and my surgery started at about 12: 30. I was waiting for almost an hour, just sitting.

The staff was caring, friendly and on schedule. I was very well attended to and was given very good care. I received a following up call too. I was impressed! Bravo! How refreshing!

I had 4 premolars extracted by Dr. Irvine and the service and job was extremely well done. The wonderful nurse, Jennifer, who took care of me, made sure that I was comfortable and helped get me through the process. I was in and out of there in less than an hour and the IV sedation really helped me feel comfortable about the surgery.

As a former RN and OR nurse, I was impressed with the professionalism of the Barr Haven office and staff. The atmosphere was calming and reassuring.
Dr. Taylor McGuire and the staff were very kind and helpful.
At 83 years old, I've never had a general anaesthetic for dental work, but after being advised that it was necessary for my large molar, I really appreciated their advice.
My recovery is going well and I would positively recommend the Argyle Associates to anyone.

Both the initial consult and surgery itself were pleasant and professionally done. I had one implant done with sedation yesterday and feel almost completely recovered today with very little pain.

My surgery involved a wisdom tooth removal (#28) as well as a coronectomy on a separate impacted wisdom tooth (#38). Dr Irvine was very professional and took the time to answer all my questions to the best of his knowledge. The nurses were amazing and made feel at ease before I was put under anesthesia. The surgery went well and although I used up all the painkillers I was prescribed, my jaw seems to be healing nicely without any complications. Overall, Dr Irvine is a great surgeon, whom I definitely recommend.

I can't say enough about my trust in the professionals at Argyle (I've dealt with them at 3 different locations). From the front desk to the surgical team and post-op follow up, Argyle is THE best. Caring, comforting, and wicked good at their jobs. I'm so very grateful for each and every one of the various staff members. In a time where customer care is just a buzzword - they really do go above and beyond for their patients every single time.

It was my grandson who came here to remove his wisdom teeth. He was very pleased with the whole experience and spoke highly of the nurse who was with him, stating that she was very kind and gentle.

I am his guardian and I live alone. I didn't know that I couldn't stay in the office (because of Covid) and couldn't leave the area. It was a very hot day and it was not comfortable sitting in the car for 2 hours.
Also, I wasn't supposed to leave my grandson alone at home while I went out to fill his prescriptions (antibiotics, pain killers and rinsing solution). I was not aware of these regulations and had to leave him alone for nearly an hour and a half to get his medications. It would have been very helpful if the dental office gave you the prescription list before hand.

I had met the dentist (Dr. Andrew Lee) before and knew that I had entrusted my grandson in good hands. Thank you Dr. Lee for doing an excellent job.

Argyle and associates is like family. Dr. Lee and others were wonderful. My case was not the easiest and I was very nervous but they made me feel at ease. Took care of me, called after the procedure to check up on me and made sure I was okay. I will recommend this place to everyone. Do not go anywhere else:)

My daughter just got her wisdom teeth out and these guys were AMAZING. So helpful in every way. The surgery was so quick. They were attentive and gave detailed post op instructions. Had my surgery last Friday 2021-06-18. Professionally done by Dr. Adam Irvine. After the surgery they do check on me to make sure everything is doing great! Highly recommended.

I have been to this location for my 3rd time in the past 4 years, and every time it was a positive, and beautiful experience. Everyone, the staff and Doctors, knows how to make you feel at ease in a friendly, secure and sterilized environment. Everything is handle in a professional matter. They make me feel important and caring by following up the day after the procedure to reassure the possibilities of discomfort. Thank you to all of Argyle team, specially Dr. T. McGuire for your miracle blessed hands.

Staff were very kind, friendly, knowledgeable, and made me feel comfortable despite being nervous about the procedure. They were happy to answer any questions I had and kept me informed while I was awake what they were doing, what to expect, and made sure I understood. They even followed up the next day to see how I was recovering and to make sure if I had any additional questions that they were answered. Would highly recommend this location for anyone looking for dental surgery and would certainly go back if ever the need arises. Thank you for all your help!

The receptionists were all very wonderful people who kept my spirits up.
The worst part was the one needle, which i took like a champ. In my books. Lol.
After that i had a wonderful sleep and woke up with three less teeth. I call that a win.

Called multiple times to see doctor because of post-op complications and they wouldn't see me unless I got a referral from my family doctor. Pain lasting for up to 2 months after wisdom teeth removal and everytime I called they would never let me come in and see doctor.

Fantastic staff from start to finish of my daughter' s wisdom teeth removal. From the check in with the front desk ladies to Wendy and Jennie who were amazing with her and giving all the post operative care instructions. Dr. A. Lee was great at explaining and very caring!

Had all 4 wisdom teeth removed at once (impacted and everything) with very minimal pain 1-3/10. The staff was very supportive and helping. They kept calling (multiple times everyday) to check up on me, make sure I'm eating and help make my experience better.

Dr. Moghadan is a highly skilled oral surgeon and very pleasant to interact with. Barrhaven nurses and office staff kept me well informed throughout the process. I rate them a "10" - responsive to questions, respectful, well informed and just plain nice. This is my 2nd implant with Dr. M.and I would not hesitate to return for a 3rd if it becomes necessary.

I am so grateful that Dr. Irvine was able to see me on an urgent basis. I was pleasant impressed by him as well as the Other Staff members. Dr. Irvine and his team were very attentive, caring and professional as they worked on me. I was very happy that I was able to get answers to my questions by the nurse who prepped me for the procedure. Very friendly Doctor and nursing staff. I was nervous at first but my Nurse Brooke was very calming. I dont remember my Dr's name but he was really nice too. They also called me the next day to check up on me. I would definitely recommend them.

This is my first review and solely because my experience was awesome. I was super nervous going in as I hate operations and IV needles in general, but the staff (front desk, nurses and doctors) did an incredible job of taking care of me before and after the procedure. They have good post-op instructions and are a phone call away in case of any questions.

Excellent facilities and staff. Came for a molar extraction, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Everyone, from the moment I walked through the door, to when I left the recovery room, was simply first rate. Procedure went off smoothly. Not that I want to do another procedure any time soon, but if I did, I would return to Argyle Associates in Barrhaven. Can't say enough good things about them!

My father was seen yesterday by Dr. Moghadam for a complicated dental/sinus surgery. Due to a pre existing condition that my father has, his surgery to many Dental Surgeons, would have been impossible to say the least. The front desk staff are awesome and Maureen was extremely helpful answering our questions. Nurse Jenny was amazing looking after him and clearly explained instructions about my fathers after care. We cannot say enough about the care given to my father. Dr. Moghadam eased our minds, as we were very worried. So very knowledgeable, professional, kind and most of all compassionate! We cannot thank him enough, as this will be a life changer for my father.

I had a really wonderful experience yesterday at Argyle Associates - Barrhaven. I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth extracted under IV sedation. I can’t remember the nurse’s name that I had but she was wonderful (actually everyone I interacted was great). I was a bit nervous about the surgery but she made me feel at ease and explained everything she was doing so I knew what was happening and what to expect. Very professional, yet easy to talk to.

The surgery itself I believe went very well - today I have almost no swelling or pain. Dr. McGuire has clearly been doing this for a while.

Never happy going to a specialist.however, Argyle and Associates made it as pleasant as possible. I felt safe, secure and very much respected. No issues whatsoever. Would recommend them.

I went there to get my wisdom teeth pulled out in February and ended up getting caught up with school and they were absolutely understanding with switching my appointment last minute. I emailed them to get them removed months later, they still remembered me and were very quick to communicate. The procedure itself went great and the nurses and doctors there are amazing. Definitely my new dentist and you should consider too!

TL;DR: By my experience, one of the most compassionate (and apparently skilled and respected and pragmatic) dental surgeons it can be the privilege of having on your health care team. Good people, facilities Clean and COVID-19 ready.

Dr Butterfield has been my “go to” dental surgeon over a twenty year period. Compassionate, understanding and knowledgeable, his care has always been fully engaged, present and non-judgemental. He has always taken time to answer my questions and concerns in an unhurried manner at a level right for me. The outcome of prior surgeries have been exactly as advertised - no surprise after my internet searches, speaking to friends (incl.dentists), and general research.

For those reading this, considering a choice of surgeon and price: I'm really trying to avoid being a hyperbolic "fanboy" so here's a brief anecdote. I recently went to another local (non-Argyle) surgeon to get a second opinion on an upcoming procedure. The “why” doesn’t matter, but had nothing to do with Dr Butterfield or Argyle. That doctor took nearly $200 for a 10 minute consult resulting in his practice offering me a procedure that, on careful analysis, was not best for my health. I took this second opinion to Dr Butterfield. His reaction to me both having done this, as well as to the unbiased, fact-based information that he then presented me simply confirmed that Dr Butterfield’s original proposal was evidently the best outcome for my health - and, although he didn’t initially explain it this way, I’ve saved $x, xxxx as a result. (Oh and I was charged $0 for him "defending" his original position.) Notwithstanding the “amazing dental surgeon” part, how not to respect “I could do that procedure, but why would I waste your money”?

The facilities actually look like the photos, including being spotlessly clean. For those reading this with COVID-19 concerns, during my recent visit I don''t know how I could have felt safer. And not stuffy or in-your-face (literally!) about it. Kudos folks, well impressed by how you are handling this.
