Lovely people, lovely food. The wait time before the first course was a bit lengthy but after that, our food came out quickly. The food was delicious and our server was knowledgeable and checked in on us often. Wonderful experience and I’ll be returning soon!

I used to come here before COVID, and the service was very efficient and the food was better. We were a group of four, and they bring one tapa at a time with ~ 15 minutes in between. Either you share the small tapa among the four people (doesn’t make any sense), or order separately, it will take a long time. My experience is that tapas take a short preparation time, still good quality is achievable.

Dinner was very tasty. It was fun to try lots of different things to eat, most of which we really enjoyed. The atmosphere was cozy, it gets a little loud when everyone in the restaurant was a little wine, but that is part of the fun of it. The restaurant surprised us with a little anniversary desert which was a very nice touch. I loved that we never felt rushed, it was an enjoyable slow dinner.

After hearing about this place from friends and colleagues, finally tried it for the first time and it is definitely worth the hype. They were kind enough to seat us despite it being close to 9: 30 PM and the dishes were just awesome.

They truly are small plates and it is one of the few places that does this really well as it was intended to be (rather than as an afterthought on a mixed menu).

Also, clearly the chef/ownership understands food intolerances/allergies as basically EVERYTHING is gluten free…which is exceedingly rare. And I didn’t feel like I missed out on anything as a result…

Best restaurant in Ottawa. Aroma Meze is a fantastic Greek restaurant in Ottawa. It's warm and welcoming. The place serves authentic Greek dishes, and everything tastes fresh and flavorful. Thanks to Jeff and his team in the kitchen.

The staff are super friendly and make you feel like family. They're great at recommending dishes, especially if you're new to Greek cuisine. The atmosphere is cozy, perfect for both casual dinners and special occasions.

This restaurant is a great spot for anyone looking to enjoy delicious food in Ottawa. Highly recommended!

Great find for our last night in Ottawa! Great selection of delicious dishes and great wines. The Mocktail menu is a great touch for kids to feel included in the luxury of the experience. Impossible to choose a favorite dish as they were all excellent!

Currently they have a dry bar since their liquor license is suspended till February 15th. Shrimp gnocchi was my favourite follwed closely by the tuna tataki! Definitely need reservations ahead of time. It's a small place!

This place is amazing! Went at night and it had a very cozy candle lit atmosphere with light music and warmth. The service was fantastic, each dish explained thoroughly with kind smiles and fun conversations all around us. The food was so delicious and very easy to eat. If you like to try a variety of things with big taste that you then get to share with love ones, this is the place to be! Big thanks to Zachery, the one serving us tonight. All in all…food, service, atmosphere, it was a great experience. Definitely coming here again️

A very strange experience. They lost their liquor licence, their extensive menu was drastically reduced, and one server in particular was dreadful.to the point where she actually walked into a customer and did not even apologize. To another customer she actually took the person's purse in her hands to give to the customer. The customer was appalled that this server handled her purse.lobster was overcooked and scallops were underwhelming. Very disappointing experience.

Loved the small plates. Great variety of taste and flavors. The service was great and although the have a lot of tables in a small place, it felt intimate rather than crowded.

Didn't love the service. While I was excited to come here, the fact that I could not order tapas to share as I wanted, could not order alcohol, and that they were not forthcoming about either ruined this for me. I do not consider an email days after booking a table, and that requires me to click on a link in that email on top of that, to be adequate notice.

In more detail:

1. Note that on holidays you can only order from the set menu. Their set menu for events is fairly limited, and we were told the entire table had to order the same item for each course - at 55$ a head it's absurd that we can't each choose what we would like to eat. The server said she hoped we could all come to an agreement, which I thought was strange. This info was not displayed on their website or upon reservation (they sent out an email afterwards with a link to click in explaining this).
2. They are not currently serving alcohol. Instead, they have a "mocktail" and non alcoholic beer menu. I wasn't impressed by the options of prices of these. They should also be more forthcoming with this info (it's not shown on their website or when you make a reservation).
3. I was physically moved by two waiters - one bumped past me as I was initially sitting down, and another as I was taking off my coat. I don't see why they couldn't wait 5 seconds.
4. We decided to leave without ordering because we weren't very happy with our options and a waiter grabbed my bag off my chair and brusquely handed it to me - I don't think the intent was malicious but it was really odd and rubbed me the wrong way. I've never had a server grab my things before and I didn't care for it.

Don't get me wrong service is great but food speed is a bit slow. For a date it might be a good thing

Ambience, food and its presentation was just perfect. Everything was fresh and delicious. We tried six excellent dishes and they even brought me a desert for my birthday. Friendly staff and very good price. Strongly recommended!

5 stars no question about it. A wonderful leisurely paced dinner and every plate was superb. Octopus, Lamb sliders, eggplant roulade, hot cheese dip and stuffed dates made a perfect dinner for the 2 of us. Service very attentive. Time got away from us and we had to hurry off for our event. The server responded immediately. A definite winner.

Tiny spot - I would recommend making a reservation. Thankfully, we did! Our server was amazing, running between tables and making drinks. Service was great.
We had the rice balls, gnocchi, open chicken, & beef tenderloin and I can say they were all fantastic. So much flavour, perfectly cooked and perfect portions.

Love the concept of shared plates, it's really good for dates and tastes good (except the falafel, it doesn't taste like. Falafel)

The place has the feeling of a small tavern with tasty food. My fav was the poutine and pulled lamb taco. Service was nice.

Beautifully presented plates. Unique tasting tapas for a date. Plan to order 8-10 options with 2 bottles of wines. Private intimate setting makes it perfect for a getaway.

One of the best hidden gems of Ottawa. Top notch quality in every single dish. Cosy spot, and the owner himself works hands on in the restaurant he owns and meets all the customers which is admirable.

The next time you're in Ottawa and don't know where to eat, make this your first stop. I've been to many a tapas resteraunt and this was by far the best. #1 the price I paid for the amount and quality of food we received was phenomenal. Fantastic bang for your buck and that's not meant to take away from the food. The restaurant is located in an old house so it's got that beautiful rustic smell and the quaintness and level of service would have you thinking you're on vacation. 10/10. Will go again. Highly recommend and couldn't be happier with our experience.

We love this restaurant! It's our favourite in Ottawa and we only discovered it just before the pandemic hit. We can't wait to be able to go back and bring our families as soon as we are able to!

Great hand crafted, flavorful cocktails. A bit of a higher price point and some drinks were quite small, however, some unique and interesting concoctions we all thoroughly enjoyed. They have some nice late night eats as well. Friendly service also!

One of my favourite restaurants in Ottawa. If you haven't tried the lamb sliders or gnocchi you're missing out! Great service and attention to quality. My latest favourite is the pulled lamb tacos. Must go!

Ordered:
- Smoked salmon crisp (recommended)
- Kopanisti dip (recommended)
- Dolmades (not worth the price)
- Octapodaki (I liked the pickled red pepper in it)
- Phyllo pastry (I liked the combination of fig and goat cheese, it has strong cheese taste)
- Creme Brulee (highly recommended)

Adorable restaurant with delicious food! Service was top notch and would recommend this place for sure.

I just start off by saying that the food here is nothing short of great! Every dish I had was just extremely good.
Their portions sizes are just about enough for 2 people.
There is ample seating space and despite being located in the downtown, parking is not that difficult to find.
The staff here is friendly and they know their food and wines! There were some great recommendations and we throughly enjoyed dining here.
The are priced a little on the higher side but that can easily be forgiven once you have had the food.

Overall, defiantly recommend this place!

Delicious dishes, decent portions, affordable prices! COVID protocols are enforced too, so that's comforting to see. Customer service is great - friendy, knowledgeable, efficient. Some dishes might be under seasoned, but a bit of salt and pepper would do the trick. All in all, our experience was delightful! Will be back when in town again!

This spot was recommended by someone else so we needed to try it and it for sure didn’t disappoint! Definitely a place to try for good food in Ottawa! Not only was food delicious but service was great too. We will be back!

I was disappointed both with quality and the size of the portions. We ordered 7 dishes (one more than their "suggestion"), our bill was $85, and we had to go for shwarma after because we were still hungry. The meal took 2 hrs not because we were having a good time, but because their "design" is to bring out a dish at a time with very long waits inbetween dishes. And each dish is just a bite, for instance their mushroom dish is literally one small mushroom cap per person, and their scallop dish is one scallop per person. So we spent most of our time waiting and hungry. I can't say the food made up for it, it is not bad, but it's also not particularly good. The service is nice but then server was overwhelmed and never even asked us if we wanted a second drink. In 2 hrs. I'm afraid it was a rather frustrating experience.

Excellent place for Greek tapas. Everything is well priced and delicious. Each dish comes out on its own which allows you to take your time eating and spend a good amount of time at the restaurant. Great for dates and family meals.

Great place with good food. Tapas style Greek menu with good seasonal items. Drink choices are wide with many wine, cocktails, and beers available.

Fantastic slow eating. Small portions of each means you can get lots of variety and "graze" through multiple mini courses. Staff are friendly and helpful. LOTS of gluten-free options. Pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Absolutely delicious tapas. Needed 6 tapas split between two adults and we were all set. Will definitely come again. Great wine selection, too!

My favourite small plate meal place to go. The food here always very subtly flavoured for a change and it this brings out the flavours of the proteins a 100 times more. My favourite is the chicken meatballs, that sauce is sublime and compliments the crusty meatball perfectly. The staff is stellar as well, very very courteous. My only wish is that they relocate to a bigger place so they can seat more people!

This place has excellent food, my only concern is the plates are just too small for the prices. Maybe it was just the things we ordered but, for example if you asked for a scallop dish, you and your partner would literally get one scallop each on the plate, for $11 or $12. The dishes tasted great and were very creative but by the end of the night we had spent $130 (with a bottle of wine) and left not feeling full.

A little pricey for the amount of food. The food was quite good but had a surprisingly aggressive waiter. I don’t usually write reviews, but he spoiled an otherwise fine evening.

I've been here twice with girlfriends and the food is delicious and service is great. The first time we all picked something from the menu and then the whole table ate portions of everything as it came out. The second time I did my own thing because I'm picky and wasn't as hungry (when you share with the table it's a LOT of food!), and that was fine for me. They have ouzo dishes that they light on fire when they bring to the table which is very cool. Their desserts are small portions served in glass French yoghurt pots. Their dips are delicious so definitely have that as a starter.

I cannot stress enough how incredible this establishment is. The service was impeccable and the atmosphere is intimate and cozy but also great for larger groups or small functions. I am at a loss for words as to describe how pleased myself and our group of 6 diners were this evening. We will definitely all be coming back. As an executive chef from vancouver and lover of all things food and booze, I can assure you that this is where you need to be regardless if you are just visiting or live here. Do not ignore this gem.

Tried around 9 dishes with a group of 6. Every one was awesome. Friendly, cozy, comfortable atmosphere; great wine selection. Would love to see a few more nice ecclecic beer options, but there was an option that I liked so not a problem. Highly recommend.

It was my first time there and what a beautiful experience. The food we shared was out of this world. Service was excellent. Are shared 6 plates. I recommend this place for couples who are celebrating a special occasion. I will go back for more.

We are foodies from New Jersey and before you tune us out, try this place. Small plates yes, but spread out over a pleasant bottle of Niagara wine, both of us were more than full, six plates for two hit the mark. Energy was the operative word for the service. These people earn their tips with great suggestions and honest labor. Try the eggplant or wherever if you don't believe me. We don't write comments like this, if we don't mean every word.

Flawless, I really enjoyed my experience at this place, the food was very tasty and flavorful, many vegetarian options and mainly gluten free.

The night didn't start on the right foot when they lost my reservations. Even though I had the voicemail comfirmation we had to still wait 10mins for a table. However it ended great with excellent service and really delicious food. Can't wait to go bank send try test of the menu.

Aroma meze is a mediterranean restaurant serving small plates for sharing. It has a warm and inviting atmosphere inside an older home on a quiet street. It is classy but not fancy, and it smells amazing. The wine list had a lot to choose from, and certainly something for everyone.

TL;DR: Seulement si vous n'avez pas très faim, n'êtes pas pressés et que vous n'avez pas peur d'empoisonnement alimentaire!
Nous sommes allés à ce restaurant parce que notre restaurant grec usuel (pas très loin) était fermé pour les vacances d'été et que l'on voulait fêter une dure journée de travail à clore un dossier. Lorsque nous sommes arrivés, on nous a bien indiqué que c'était un restaurant de style "tapas" donc de petits plats à partager. Pas de problème là-dessus, nous avons tout deux vécus en Espagne et au Chili, où on rencontre ce genre de repas. Par contre, ce que l'on n'a pas expliqué, c'est que chaque plat - tout petit, soit dit en passant (on parle d'une bouchée chacun - nous étions 2) - allait être servi séparemment, avec de 15 à 30 minutes d'attente entre chaque service. Je dois rajouter que la limonade maison est en fait deux tranches de citron, un sachet de sucre et de l'eau du robinet! Pas folichon. Les couverts (ustensiles) n'était pas très propres et finalement, pour clore le tout, nous avons été tous les deux malades suite au calmar (octopus) que nous avons mangé. Nous avons téléphoné pour le leur indiquer le lendemain et n'avons eu aucun retour d'appel (cela fait plus d'une semaine). Bref, nous ne recommandons pas ce restaurant et nous n'y retournerons plus!
