Awesome food with authentic Indian flavour. Tremendous service especially by a girl named Riya. Must try place in London.

Great food. Good atmosphere and very friendly staff. They served our food very nicely and quickly and must say the portion size is also good. Thanks to riya for her recommendations and being patient with us.

Fake reviews, don’t go just solely based on reviews absolutely worst food, vegetable korma was beyond edible frozen veggies with stale and smelly gravy (ordered dal makhni was smelly and sour too got korma as a replacement and was disappointed twice within 15 mins.
04 September 2023 8:54
Undercooked parathas with stuffing that's meant for samosas. For $6 unimpressive quantity of carrot halwa, taste wasn't good either. Not worth the price.
04 September 2023 3:27
Testy authentic Indian food with good varieties. We love the test and overall presentation. Masala Tea can be improved but it's not a deterrent for going back.

We had called in to reserve a table for 18. On arrival we had to wait for atleast 20 minutes for the order to be taken. Moreover, the person waiting at our table was disinterested and even frowned when taking the order sfor the simple reason that we had toddlers in our group.

Further, folks who came after us got served first and were paid prompt attention, cordially and lovingly in stark contrast to her approach or demeanor to us. So much was the start contrast even the kids could notice it.

Many a items were unavailable for order and had to choose from what's available, an information not shared with us earlier. The food was okay and not something to relish or enjoy. They were either over cooked or under cooked.

In short, not a great experience with food and disappointing service. Would not recommend for families with children especially toddlers as the management seems to have a dislike for it.

The food is pathetic. Not recommended at all. Either they don't have a proper chef or the chef first know to cook that's all.
29 August 2023 3:28
Awesome food, surprisingly their panner butter masala was better than their butter chicken masala. Either way would recommend trying both. Their main server Bhupendar was very polite and does his job efficiently. Worth the hype, highly recommended!

Excellent service and great indian taste
I recommend others to please visit here and eat delicious meal.
02 August 2023 2:16
Very bad restaurant. Rude and inhumane owner. Would not recommend at all. Please do not go here. Don’t recommend to anyone as well!

First time trying this restaurant. The food was fantastic. Good portion size. My friend and I shared a few dishes and had plenty of food with leftovers to bring home. Service started off great but was a little slow when we were finished eating. It was also a little chilly in the restaurant.
Definitely will return to try other dishes. I would recommend this restaurant.
20 June 2023 18:41
Food is delicious and very flavourful. It’s not your typical Indian food, it’s even better which is shocking to say. They add this smoke flavour that makes it very tasty and authentic. My mom from Brampton absolutely loved it and she’s very hard to please. Definitely our favourite Indian restaurant please never change the spice & flavour
22 October 2022 18:47
Big flys are flying on table. Paneer pieces are big never seen before in sabji, less gravy, chunky piecesof onion. Biryani was too tangy and lots and lots of garam masala. Salted lassi is over salty.

I had only eaten in restaurant at their other location before COVID but I just went last night and I really enjoyed it! Large booths and dim lighting like before, food was always so delicious and flavourful, even texture of the sauces and their viscosities were perfect. Definitely favourite Indian restaurant in London, although delivery can be tedious (during COVID, it was CRAZY how long you'd have to wait to receive your food, even for takeout, once took up to 2-3 hours for takeout and we ordered an hour before arriving), in restaurant is much better and quicker haha
Old restaurant used to have worse service as they would take forever to take our order, but the new restaurant has great service, staff would check on your regularly.
What we ordered (in case you might be curious or need somewhere to start) :
- Chicken Biryani
- Garlic Rice
- Garlic Naan
- Mixed Veg Masala
- Paneer Makhani
- Palak Paneer
- Lamb Korma
There's much more delicious stuff there, this is just what we were craving haha

Aroma of India is located opposite to the London-Ontario police station. There is more space for parking vehicles. It is famous for Indian food dishes. Chicken biriyani in this restaurant is authentic taste with less oil, some thing different from others. It is neat and tidy and more spacious seating so that you can enjoy with your family. There is also beer available here. It is a nice restaurant to chill with your family and with friends.
06 October 2022 0:33
We ordered few curries, they gave it without serving spoon. Naan was uncooked. We were waiting for rice for 20 minutes after getting Daal
Horrible experience.
04 October 2022 13:29
Delicious! Order here if you want some amazing indian food. Me and my husband couldnt even talk to one another we were enjoying is so much! I suggest to get the side of creamy cucumber salad, man that stuff is amazing to pour over your bowl! Refeshing! Really recommend the tiki masala its sooo good especially if you love butter chicken but are super tired of ordering it all the time

Very good food, excellent service and the price is reasonable. Highly recommend and will definitely return if in town.
29 September 2022 18:44
Best Indian food I have had in London area. Better than most restaurants in Toronto. Their food was fresh and super good. Just ask them to make a tad bit less spicy haha. I highly recommend it. Thier service was 5 stars! Me and my friend will be back their again. The owner served us and made sure we had everything we needed.
28 September 2022 22:41
I'm from Brampton. Trust me when I tell you, I KNOW INDIAN FOOD. The food here is absolutely delicious. Best I've had in London. Garlic naan could be more garlic-ey and maybe a bit more butter, but we had four different dishes from the menu, and each was excellent. Will be back!
27 September 2022 18:36
The customer service was great, I enjoyed the food too! Everything was great and the place was clean too. Money well spent.
26 September 2022 5:09
Very unprofessional, zero service, zero test. Only go if you want to waste your money, majority of the food was frozen and heated
Sorry to say but I will never visit them and will never suggest anyone.
23 September 2022 13:33
Food and service was amazing! Surprised to find out they had their own brewery, tried 3/4 of their beers and they were also amazing
20 September 2022 7:50
Sorry to say but, neither the food was good nor the service was. Only one person to serve for the entire restaurant and was very rude. We don’t like to give bad reviews to any business as it takes lots of effort but we won’t even give one star.

#sorry_not_sorry
19 September 2022 21:46
We ordered panner vegetable and veg biryani. Naan and Paneer parantha was great but the vegetable was not so good. Vegetable was sweet, and gravy thickness was not upto mark. Biryani had no taste and the rice in biryani were not the right rice to be used. The manager said something that seemed a little bad and discriminating but this can be my misunderstanding. The guy taking order was an awesome guy.
05 September 2022 21:56
Out of this world amazing! Everything was spectacular, superb, exquisite. Fluffy rice, delicious roti, Vindaloo to die for. And good sized portions too. I grew up with Indian people and this cuisine took me back to my childhood where I often ate amazing food prepared by little old ladies with generations of experience. Only thing I regret is that I can't assign more stars and that I didn't eat their sooner. I forgot to mention that the customer service was fantastic and the staff warm and engaging. More food that 2 people could finish and priced very reasonably. Best onion Bahji ever.
22 August 2022 14:32
This is my stop for delicious Indian food in London. The service is friendly and every time I go to the Aroma of India I have a great experience!
20 August 2022 6:12
It has good reviews but it just wasn't for us. Disappointed. Yesterday me and my husband visited Aroma of India for good and relaxing dinner. We ordered four items but none of the items are atleast eatable. The taste and quantity of food were inappropriate. Hope restaurant management will take our review seriously serve better food for their upcoming customers.
07 August 2022 5:04
The ambience is amazing. I tried veg Manchurian and paneer butter masala which was delicious in taste. Service was good and the staff was welcoming.
03 August 2022 12:08
Great place, first time here. Food was exceptional and we left with a "food buzz".
Will be back again and again.
We had butter chicken, naan and naan with onion in it (delidous), Chana masala and the parkora app. Have food to go home with.
Have been to ask the others and like this the best. It's not the most romantic. But we came for the food and flavour.

Update
Been back many times for takeout.
Dined in again and it was so worth it. I didn't think it could taste better. Yummy
05 July 2022 22:11
The food was ok. Sat there for 45 mins waiting for it. I understand good food takes time but I didn't feel that today. Masseys fine Indian quisine gives you rice with your orders where this place doesn't. Tastes good. Just feel I didn't get my money worth. Sadly I won't show up there again.
15 June 2022 5:58
I visited Aroma of India today and this was my best experience in an Indian restaurant.
The food was freshly made unlike many restaurants. I had mango chicken curry, shrimp madras, lamb curry and garlic naans and butter naans with it and it was too good!
The service was really fast.
Can't wait to try more dishes from this restaurant.
Stood upto its ratings.

Extra perks: *PARKING AVAILABLE*
10 June 2022 22:23
It was one of those days when I was craving for daal chawal and some how ended up getting it from here. To my surprise it was lightly spiced and hence an enjoyable meal. So it’s a 5 star for the moong masoor daal, the yellow soupy kind that one floods a bed of rice with, to top it off with a side of shami kebab and raita. Well done team Aroma keep it fresh and lightly spiced.
08 June 2022 7:21
Been to this restaurant first time after someone recommended this place and customer service was terrible and food was below expectations, ordered some of the items from menu and malai kofta was frozen so was the mix veg. I wouldn’t recommend anyone.
31 May 2022 7:48
Visited Aroma Of India last day and it was one of the best Indian cuisine experience in London.
The ambience was good with good food.
The service was pretty fast.
Food quality and quantity is really good if you compare it with the prices because all the other restaurants in London charge high prices but the quantity would be less.
It went beyond my expectations - the service, food and ambience.
22 May 2022 0:31
The staff was amazing.
Parking facility is available.
Now coming to the main show stealer that is the food.
We tried panner butter masala, dal makhni, garlic naans and chicken tikka malai and all of them tasted really good.
Lip smacking delicious food I would say.
This is my go to place when I want to eat indian now
16 May 2022 10:04
Very good place for indian food. Felt nostalgic after eating their rajma masala.
Biryani's have good quantity.
I came from kitchener to visit my friend and he suggested me with Aroma Of India.
My best decision ever!
The food was amazing and the service was even better.
Will visit again when I come to London again.

I’ve been regular customer at Aroma of India for about 2 years. Palak Paneer is my every time order.
But today it was made really bad, oily, looks watery, almost no spinach and paneer.
I don’t know if there is a new chef or they changed a recipe but I feel that I need to look for a new Indian restaurant: (

27 September 2021 18:25
Awesome & tasty meal that hit the spot perfectly for a group of adults.good selection for meat eaters & vegetarians alike. Place was clean & staff was friendly, only wish the prices were a little bit lower. There are not many parking spots, so if it is a busy day you might struggle to find parking. But definitely recommend
21 September 2021 1:48
We ordered Paneer Chilli and Veg Manchurian. Possibly their cook doesn't know how to make Manchurian. They used same gravy in both dishes. Moreover, they used some koftas in manchurian. We got hardly 6 pieces of Manchurian.sorry Koftas in a dish. Wouldn't like to try any other food now from this place.
15 September 2021 6:36
Ordered online: chicken korma; coconut rice, vegetable pakoras, vegetable samosa. This is some of the best Indian food I've ever had - the complexities of the spices they used taste amazing; the dipping sauces are perfect. Will be our main go-to for Indian food.
31 August 2021 13:44
Disappointing experience. I got the biryani and butter chicken first time yesterday. I went to restaurant with lot of excitement along my friend and waited for more than a hour. But this was the WORST BIRYANI, I ever had. It looked like the mixture of broken rice and dry chicken curry, doesn’t smell or feel like biryani. For the butter chicken, chicken quantity was less and box was full with just sauce. They should improve the biryani.
28 August 2021 16:31
Our favourite Indian restaurant in London. Unfortunately it is inconsistent at times, long wait times and not the most pleasant staff. We ask for no cilantro on our naan and it will have cilantro ~30% of the time. Otherwise, delicious and good prices.

I've never been a huge fan of Indian Food but I have to admit I am quite partial to Tandoor Chicken. Generally, this is all I'll order from Aroma of India, but occasionally I may treat myself to Naan flatbread.

This review of the Aroma of India is general in nature, and cover's some interesting topics such as its location, my star rating, price, and unfortunately, (but importantly), the "Conditional Pass" Aroma of India received on May 20,2021 during a DineSafe Inspection by the Middlesex-London Health Unit.

Aroma of India is located at 590 Dundas St. It's directly across the street from London Police Services and just at the very edged of Old East Village. Formerly located at 350 Dundas St (a couple doors down from the Budapest Restaurant) the move to the 590 Dundas I believe to be a wise business decision.

The new location is a much larger restaurant and ample parking. An indication the business is doing well? Interestingly, this is the same location where Harvey's was for years and years and years, followed by a short stint by a Chinese bakery. Nevertheless, once Harvey's had closed down, the premises pretty much laying vacant for at least several years.

Don't get me wrong, per se, the chicken is "okay". The presentation of the chicken in its Styrofoam container (believe it or not) is actually quite appealing. The chicken pieces sit on a bed of raw carrots and onions. Off to the side is a small container of some sort of green sauce. But the thing about chicken, as everyone knows and no matter how it is prepared, chicken is unforgiving if you don't get it right. At the Aroma of India, I have found the chicken I have order is either a hit or a miss. Meaning it is either over cooked or it is spot on.

I don't pretend to be a chief I and have no idea how the Tandoor is prepared. I would imagine it is marinated and then seasoned with various spices before being cooked. Aroma of India gets that part right. No doubt about that. But if you look closely at the pieces, you'll notice a good sized breast, a couple legs, a small thigh and an even smaller single wingette. Have all of these pieces been cooked together at the same temperature at the same amount of time. My guess is yes. What you end out with is an inedible wingette, properly cooked thigh and legs.but unfortunately, and sometimes too often, an over cooked breast that is dried out and chewy. When they get is right with the cooking part, it's not long before I am back again. When I am disappointed, well, a different story.

Tandoor Chicken with Naan flatbread plus the tip sets me back by about $20.00. A little pricey. I like to think of this as a once in awhile treat because there is no way I'm going to spend that amount of money more then once or twice per month. Is it worth is? Only when the chicken is not dried out, otherwise I end up with serious buyers regret. This now brings me to the point where I must settle-up for the amount owed for the food. Like most people I use my debit card. So I am presented with the debit card machine and asked if I am okay with the amount of the purchase. Press "ok". The next field asks if I want to leave a tip by percentage or a dollar amount. For me, this is where the confusion starts. Why am I being asked for a tip if I didn't receive any personalized table service. Is it appropriate to leave say a 15 to 20 percent tip, which is the norm for table service when I am only picking up the food. I really don't think so. Mmmmph.very perplexing.

A "Conditional Pass" Aroma of India received on May 20,2021 during a DineSafe Inspection by the Middlesex-London Health Unit is highly concerning. Actually, alarming! I hope you guy have got your act together because bad news travels faster then good new and the main reason for the single star in this review.

I’ve ordered from this restaurant many times but this time there was a bug in my chicken biryani. Needless to say, it ruined me and my family’s appetite. This is such a shame. Won’t be ordering from this restaurant again. Update: I know a difference between a dead bug in my food and a clove…

I used to come to London from Toronto very often to visit my friends, and every single time we've come to this restaurant. Every. Single. Time.

The food is simply delicious if you enjoy indian cuisine or indian curry. One of my favourites is their Spinach palak paneer - I'm not vegetarian, but my god this dish is so damned delicious.

I will say though I wish the garlic rice and garlic naan was a little more garlicy. The sweeter curries are a bit too sweet for my taste, but I'm sure will suite those who do not enjoy spicy food well.

Service can be a little slow at times and the place is not sparkling clean but adequetly clean.

If you've never been, I definitely recommend at least giving this a go at some point, especially if you're here for university. It's a bit far from the residences, but honestly, well worth the trip. I no longer visit London often, if at all, and I still think about the food from this place all the time.
