Art Studio (not just) For Children

Our daughter has been attending art classes here for close to two years and absolutely loves it! I can not say enough good things about Nancy and highly recommend her classes to everyone.

My 7 year old daughter took Nancy's classes through her school and created such beautiful pieces of art which are sure to become treasured family keepsakes. I am looking forward to more lessons and more beautiful art.

Great camp near Clarksburg. Amazing art but also swimming, badminton and all round fun for the kids!

My 3 children participated in the ASFC camp this summer and it was a magical experience for them. It taught them so many life skills intertwined with creative skills. They came home with beautiful pieces of art that they were so proud of and a great appreciation for nature and how anything and everything can be beautiful. Thank you, Nancy! You are a true gem!

I would give Nancy and art camp 1000000 stars if I could. My two kids (ages 6 and 8) had nothing short of a magical week with Nancy at art camp. They loved every moment. They woke up excited to go and were so sad when it was done and promptly asked me if they could return next summer. They learned so much and came home with beautiful art and even sweeter memories. What a gem this little camp is! Nance is an amazing woman. Very kind and empathetic and so incredibly creative. After a very difficult year for our family this was a beautiful memory my kids will cherish for years to come. This was my daughter's third year attending Nancy's summer day camp at her beautiful farm property up north. Nancy's camp has been a highlight of my daughter's summer each time she's attended, and we are always beyond impressed at the incredible artwork she brings home at the end of the week. In addition to providing patient and encouraging instruction in order for the kids to be able to create these masterpieces, Nancy has a way of making each child feel special. I had a wonderful time at the Heartworks Retreat! Nancy was a gracious host and led us through an inspiring and empowering day filled with everything my mind, body and spirit craved. The setting was absolutely perfect for the mindfulness exercises, yoga, painting and exploring. Escaping into nature and connecting with such a lovely group of women was such a gift! I took part in the Heartworks Retreat and it was AMAZING! Nancy curated a day full of meaningful activities that truly fed my soul. From yoga on the dock to mindset coaching to creating and painting in a style that I have never tried before, it was absolutely magical. The food provided was delicious and she ensured that there were gluten free options for me. Nancy is an absolute delight and her property is magnificent. Thank you Nancy for such a rejuvenating experience!

My daughter just attended a PA Day workshop at the Art Studio for Children. This was her first time going here. It was very easy to sign up, pay and connect with the instructor who answered all my questions.
Emma returned home holding up her art and I was in awe of the piece she created this morning. Absolutely magnificent!
I'm also very thankful for the smile that was a mile wide that was on her face when she walked in the door. She loved her time in this class and can’t wait to go back soon.
We look forward to signing up for another class this summer and fall. Highly recommend for kids who love art. Such a neat class.

If I could give more stars, I would. My 11 year-old boy loves Nancy's art Studio. She is an amazing instructor and an artist!

Your classes has been so important for our daughter, as we are new in town it has become a magic space of creativity for her.
Violeta vibrates with art and you have been an amazing discovery, and so near from our home in Toronto!

When I told Nancy I wanted to paint a 4x7 foot abstract to hang over my living room couch — and that I've never studied art or practiced painting - she said, "Ok. In retrospect, it was a bold move, but I couldn't be happier with the results. Nancy patiently taught me how to layer paint and choose the right colours and brush strokes, always advising me on when to let go creatively, and when to take a step back. I had so much fun learning to express myself in a new way, while benefiting from Nancy's years of experience (and boundless patience). I couldn't have created this painting on my own at this point, but thanks to Nancy I'm hopeful that one day I will be able to do something like it. If you're a total beginner wanting to explore your creativity in a new way, I highly recommend taking lessons with Nancy. I'm so glad I did!

With Nancy’s patience and guidance, we (3 beginners - mom and two teenagers) made three paintings that reflected our personalities. We were all surprised at what we had accomplished in one afternoon.

Nancy's art camp in the Beaver Valley is an absolute gem. My son has attended for two summers and without question, it has been his very favourite summer activity. Nancy encourages individual expression of creativity, while also inspiring the children to try new artistic forays that might be outside their comfort zone. On the last day of camp, they have an opportunity to display their week's accomplishments in a sweet little outdoor gallery. It's a lovely moment of pride for the young artists. Under Nancy's wing, the children feel nurtured and guided. With the outdoor setting and the swimming pond, Nancy's angelic nature, and the phenomenal artistic creations the children complete, you simply can't go wrong at ASFC. We cannot recommend it highly enough.

Nancy is a gem. She is your teacher, your children's art teacher, everybody's friend and special spirit. Nancy infuses art all around her and then invites you to explore and find your own best artist in you! Her kindness and expressive approach is bar none making each child and family more beautified by the art work they produce. Nancy touches paint to canvas as much as she does does heart to heart. This is an experience for kids, adults, and families that brings people together in a safe and artistic space. My kids grew up in this environment cultivating creativity and freedom to express themselves in a new and innovate way. Thank you Nancy for you!

We have been clients of the Art Studio (Nancy) for over 5 years. We love our experiences with her. We have done personal projects over Zoom, private experiences to make gifts for loved ones, and day camps in Redwing. Each experience has been unique and meaningful. We are grateful to know that Nancy has been an important part of our children’s childhood. Our girls have loved the camps, the structured, beautiful creations they have been guided to make, and the final art show of the week where they get to showcase their talents.

We love Art Studio for Children for everything from winter camp, PD day activities and birthday parties. Nancy is so patient and kind and has inspired our daughter's creativity (and skill!) like I never could have myself. Highly recommend!

Nancy is always enthusiastic, creative, and imaginative in her classes. My kids and myself have all taken classes with her both in -person and online, and the effort she puts into her projects are simply astounding. The materials are always top quality as well as her step by step instructions. I would highly recommend any class with Nancy.

What an amazing experience we had with our extended family creating our individual Words to Live By. This was a family Christmas gift that took 8 months to get everyone booked in but worth the wait. Nancy made it fun, educational, and most importantly inspirational. It was amazing to see the artistic flare coming from all members of the family. Thanks Nancy for such a special experience.

My two daughters have attended Nancy's classes and camps for many years (plus birthday parties, mother-daughter special projects). Beyond the beautiful art, my girls learned self expression and built confidence because of the way Nancy teaches and connects with her students. Classes are fun, fearless and my kids created art that is actually on our walls (it is that good!). Nancy is truly a special soul and I feel so lucky to have her as an influence on the lives and development of my kids (and me!).
