I had the pleasure of dining at Arturo while I was in town this weekend. The food was amazing, I loved the complementary bruschetta. Our server was so personable and informative. The gnocchi was perfectly cooked and super saucy! Highly recommend.
After seeing the review, me and friend were exited to try out that restaurant. Upon arrival, we realized the restaurant was fairly busy. The lady told us that we could only sit at the bar due to no table was available. However, a co-worker offered to clean a table and it would take about t min. The lady almost shoo him away and enforced we sit at the bar. We were dress pretty casual and I always was under the impression that she was snobing on us. Anyway, the filet mignon was cook like asked, however it tasted average. For a price tag of around 65$, a regular chain steak house would have done better for 45$, such as Chop or the Keg. The pasta were decent but fairly pricy. There definitely no wow moment. 4/5 on pasta, 3/5 on filet mignon for been really average for the price, and 2/5 for that lady service. 5/5 service on the other gentlemen. Overall experience, average at best.
We, a group of 7 out-of-towners who had just rolled into town after an 8 hour drive happened to stumble upon this restaurant on Sept 15. We did not have a reservation, and Tom the owner, offered us bar seating. If we were ok with it. We were glad to take that offer, and were not disappointed. Tom looked after us from start to finish, and went out of his way to make us our personal cocktails based on our preferences! Even showed us the longest pepper mill he had:) Amazing food and most of all awesome service! Thank you for taking care of us Tom!
We visit Sault ste. Marie about once a year. We always make a reservation at Arturo's and we are never disappointed with the food and service. The owners Chris and Tom are excellent at what they do. They also have a wonderful wine selection to choose from to accompany your meal. Unfortunately I did not take any photos this time of our meal. We hope to go back again soon.
Our first visit. Tom was as welcoming as if we had been in his home! The bits to nibble on while our dinner was prepared, were delicious and just the perfect amount! Inspired our appetites but did not encroach on the main fare. Dessert with accompanying Cappuccino was the perfect balance of sweet. Thank-you Chris and Tom for making our 15th wedding anniversary beautiful. We will be back!
Beautiful dinner to celebrate my friend's birthday, beautiful table and decor upstairs, beautiful food and beautiful service. Don't miss out and enjoy!
Tried this restaurant for a early evening dinner to celebrate a birthday.
Service was good and the atmosphere was good also.
Our appetizers were good, specifically I ordered the escargot which was exceptional in my opinion and I would definitely order again!
Our mains (Orecchiette/Pumpkin Ravioli) were unfortunately very average at best, we eat a lot of pasta dishes and we didn’t feel that these dishes in particular warranted the price point. Hopefully it was just a off night.
I've been to a lot of Italian restaurants in bigger cities (Vancouver, Toronto), and Arturo's has been consistently the best spot. The food and service are always excellent. Tom the manager is superb in guaranteeing a wonderful experience every time!
Stopped here during our drive from Calgary to Toronto. Best meal on the trip. We were greeted and seated right away. The service was excellent from start to finish. The meals, from starters to deserts were incredible. Not a single missed step. Some very creative dishes. Sault St. Marie is lucky to have a spot like this.
If you're anywhere near this establishment, go pay a visit, you will not regret it!
Went for dinner with a party of 8 to celebrate an anniversary. It was my first time dining at Arturos, and the experience was of the likes of a five star restaurant in Toronto or Montreal. Fantastic drinks, all entrees were delicious and the service was impeccable. We we’re seated in a private room upstairs which was quaint and offered a more intimate dining experience. Will definitely return next trip back to the Sault.
An unexpected elegant twist - absolutely do not judge a book by its cover! (Only reason I rated 4-stars for Atmosphere) A very unassuming and simple exterior in the downtown area.
Small but very very good. Making reservations might be a good idea. I travel for business and stumbled across this spot - I'm so glad that I had the opportunity to experience this awesome Italian cuisine!
First time dining at Arturo. I haven't had such a wonderful experience since I worked in Toronto years ago. The food, the service, the atmosphere were just perfect! Nothing can match this in the Sault or many other places. Thank you!
Only the best, fine dining restaurant in the Sault and area. Tom and Chris have the best menu, staff and experience you can get for real, authentic Italian flavours.
