I love to pick up ready food from Arz. Kevork is making me to look forward to see him every 4th day. Positive small talk during shopping always has a great impact on my day. Proper suggestions kindness and respect always can be found at this location. Food is really tasty. My husband always asks what Kevork cooked for dinner today. Thank you for keeping my family satisfied. It’s better than a restaurant.
Please follow me here. I highly appreciate your feed back. Small store but has everything you need. I live their vegetables section. From zoukini, to eggplant to parsley, mint, and thelist goes on. They also have a great selection of spices and tapanade. Their cakes are usually to kill for and their patisserie cake pieces look like art pieces ans taste delicious. I would no longer use their meat section. The above review is done on April 28 2023. The kebbeh nayeh - meat tartare is excellent. Good libanese food. Small store but got many things. Today visit sep 2023 I got wsrsk 3areesh and it was awesome.
Big range of food stuffs at very competitive prices suitable for all families. Top quality brands of variety items suitable for middle East muslim families
Bought this 3 days (Friday June 30th) before best before day which was on July 3rd. On the second day of buying it Saturday July 1st, it started to rot away. See pictures. I threw them out. Be careful what you buy from them. Not the 1st time this has happened.
Update: I wish it was worth my time to go back just to voice this concern. Something else is going on here which I'm sure manager is aware of.
I've lived in the area for more than 14 years and all I can say is the quality of the products is bad. They sold me rotten chicken a couple of weeks back. The chicken tasted like sewage, and made me vomit immediately after consuming it. The next days I had food poisoning. The produce is always on the verge of going bad. Everything in the store is overpriced. Need I say more, don't go to this place, shut this place down
I bought yesterday a frozen food box, and My son had a piece a lot night. Then he had food poisoning, because the food expired since 2021. Never go there again.
They have an incredible selection of soft cookies. Also loved their cakes. They don't use a lot of sugar which I loved! The staff were nice and patience even when I took an eternity to select an assortment of cookies haha! Super recommended.
We bought dates and they got rotten in 3 weeks, normally these things last for a year atleast, if refrigerated. The best before date mentions, Nov 2022 and it didn’t last a few weeks. I called up and complained at the store and he said the manager would call back. No one did! I see a lot of other folks in the review section commenting about the store selling expired stuff. BEWARE!
I had the worst experience at the meat side today at Arz supermarket and it's not the first time the meat cutter assume that I will not pay so he kept telling me but it cost this but there's cut service charge at the end he didn't want it to serve me with what I want he told me to get from whatever meat is ready and cut for the lam leg and he is not cutting for me when I said I don't want the one cute and ready looks old and more bons the man got upset and walk away so I asked for the meat manager his name was Mohamed when I told him the story and my frustration and what I need he told me no it work both way its not all the time about what customer want we have to follow the company policy way! Seriously! Waht is this I can't have the meat I want the way I want I will definitely go to Adonis no more. The floor manager Cris was nice and polite but there was no store manger at that time
Great place for fresh produce with a middle eastern edge. I go there for the feta cheese (4+varieties), excellent Kalamata olives and the unique choices of pistachios and halva. If you're planning a mid east/Lebanese/Greek/Turkish themed dinner, this is the place to start. More attentive service would have been nice instead of having to ask.
Every Lebanese, Iraqi, Egyptian or middle Eastern dude has to visit this store so many things that I miss from back home I found some of them in here specially my favorite pop that I used to drink 41 years ago
I had ordered the mixed grill platter yesterday from Arz Fine Food store located at Mavis and Bristol area in Mississauga. I was so impressed with the high quality of food and the unbeatable prices. This platter had a variety of grilled Tenderloin Kabab, Chicken Taouk, Kafta Kabab, grilled vegetables as well as a tray of Vermicelli Rice, a tray of marinated grilled potatoes, hummus and garlic sauce. Everything was delicious, flavorful and meat was so tender melting in my mouth. The quantity was more than enough for 8people. The price was beyond right and very fair. I recommend this to everyone to try. It is so convenient and affordable. I will definitely order the eggplant parmesan platter next time as I heard from my Sister in Law that she loved it ordered from Arz as well. I would like to thank the Chef for that delicious meal.
Just been to the New Mississauga location at Bristol and Mavis. A great place. Great food items. Courteous people unlike Adonis! Had a chat with the Manager, Ellie Hayak. As per Ellie options are coming up soon (on site pita bread making including healthy option of Bran pita). Prices are great! Quality is great and ample of parking. Will be my new shopping for grocery place.
Pretty much a perfect experience. The best place to find a lot of Arabic and Middle Eastern spices and specialties, plus an excellent butcher shop, tons of delicious deli options, and a great catering service, which we've gotten help for on multiple parties and always had an excellent experience with: delicious, fresh food and appetizers, and as much variety as one can need for a presentable table.
It s shame of them to sell damage and expired products, I can’t believe how is the manager’s feeling to read reviews! Almost complained about selling expired products, this is my bad experience I have never ever seen this cheating business in Canada!
I had to give one star at least. Their meat department goes on sale when it's really really bad. I bought two chicken and I put them right away in the freezer since I paid for cleaning and cut extra money, so I trusted. I wanted to cook them today I couldn't open the bag because of the stinky smell, they're really bad. I called the store, the manager was investigating me why I didn't open them same day! Well. I bought them to cook them later.aaaand she was asking me about the receipt, I understand I should keep the receipt when I buy clothes not grocery. So please if you want to get your meat from their butchery make sure to smell it there before leaving the store, especially it's covid time and I didn't notice any precautions been taken inside. I told all my friends about this experience and I found that would be helpful for many others too. That would be my last time shopping there due to the poor response from their customer service.
We like the fruits, vegetables & desserts here. Parking can be a bit tight on the weekends. But you will always find a spot. Don't miss the arabic bakery items. They are Delicious! Overall, Great place for all your Arabic food needs️
Beautiful store, with so much selection. This is where the very best tahini comes from! There was everything you could ever want there including hallumi cheese and fresh vegetables.
I used to love this place, was always satisfied and happy with their service.my family always buy cakes here for especial occassions, buy foods. But not until last Sunday August 29,2021. We went there to buy cake for my birthday, So we chose black forest cake and the lady took out from the display then went straight to box it when we were about to tell her what should be on it, she didn't even ask us which normally that's what they do, but because it wasn't our first time to buy there we knew that we have to tell them about the greeting.so when I told her about the HappyBirthday greeting (she was grumpy from the start and was showing an attitude) she put in the plastic thing happy birthday and closed the boxed (she wasn't listening to us) so when she handed the cake we told her we wanted a greeting with the name on it. She got upset giving us the bad look, not apologetic (we are regular customer) and said that we should have told her from the start, well we were but she walked straight to the boxing section right away, that's why we had to follow her and there were other people around that area and again.from our past experiences.they will hand us paper and pen right away to make sure of the spelling.so in short Taj/Tadge (that's the name she said when I asked her name) argued with us and treated us rudely instead of being apologetic and just do the greeting instead of making a scene. Thanks to the other lady that was there, she fixed the mess Taj made. But that very bad and terrible experience from the very rude employee named Taj really left a very upsetting experience and ruined a moment of my birthday. She even made mistake on price label that the cashier had to call the bakery when we were paying. Other disappointing thing is that the manager was not picking up the phone. I have been contacting the bakery manager since that incident happened until today but no one's answering. I hope the owner will do something so that that terrible experience from their rude employee Taj will not happen again to anyone.
This anchor store on Lawrence is part of the charm of Scarborough. It could use a little updating but I doubt their loyal customers will care if they don't. There is nothing wrong with the store.
First time I tried it was recently, and it reminds of back home (middle east) a lot of stuff that I can’t find anywhere else, I found here. Highly recommended!
Wonderful place to shop for fruits, veggies, and middle-eastern specialties. If only the butcher could find it in his heart to wear his mask over his nose, that'd be great.
Good Option for Mediterranean Foods and Groceries. Baklava, Baba Ganoush, Hummus, Roast Chicken etc are awesome. Vegetables are little higher side but fresh
Everything I brought home from here has been very tasty and amazingly received by my foodie friends. Pick up, last minute catering.anything and everything has always been great!
Excellent selection of Halal foodstuff you won’t find elsewhere in Toronto. Great service by staff (make sure you get their attention, although there was only a small wait sometimes) at the sweets counter, prepared dishes counter, nuts counter, restaurant counter and cashier (yup we went around!). Good crowd control at entrance and fair amount of space to safely social distance and it was pretty busy too at the time. I’m so happy to have discovered this gem in the city and will keep returning. Thank you to the amazing staff!
The best cleanest place to shop for your food. Love that place. I tried going the competitor but it was different everything. I will always come to the arz
This is a great place for all your Arabic needs. Even though I don't live close by, it's always worth the drive. There is a great variety of foods from many countries. And the staff are always helpful.
I have bought 2 chocolate bars from Arz both with hazelnuts one was fine which was the white chocolate the other one tasted expired and hazelnut has gone Rancid. When I compare the two expiry date it looks like they somehow wiped the month off milk chocolate! This should be illegal to do so. I have posted the pictures that you can see the dates.
Best place to buy meditaranean groceries. Fruits and vegetables are fresher than your local grocery store! Bread is baked daily and fresh. It's worth the time to go and shop.
This is my Go To Place for All things Fresh Foods that reminds of you home in the Middle East. Everything that you crave from back home in the Middle East is all here in this beautiful grocery store. I love coming here especially for Ramadan and Eid groceries and shopping because no their stores can beat this in that field. I would keep coming here feel at home. ; Amazing Customer Service all round the corners of this store. I love them.
Good service. Great variety of Middle Eastern food, staff is friendly, prices are reasonable. Just got their food platter which was easy to order and was ready on time. Recommend!
Very charming grocery store with great fresh food in the back corner. Love the Armenian Pizza and whenever the vineleaves are out - I certainly buy them.
Authentic and clean Lebanese supermarket. Meat quality is superior compared to other Lebanese supermarket chain, the bakery with man’ousheh line-up is great as well and their baklava and Lebanese sweet pastries are just the right amount of sugar.
My mom went here 3 times and not even one cashier smiled or greeted her.they are all sour faces and very rude and impolite. We asked if they had marshamallow that were halal and one of the workers looked at us in our faces and didn't even reply.we asked again and they walked right away.will never be returning here again.
Lots of food and kitchen items are there from Turkey, middle east, and Greek. Arz has pastery, cheese and nut sections as well. Some items are over expensive, especially eggs and milk compared to other shops. Great place for peope who are homesick and want to find a gateaway.
I recently went to ARZ fine foods to purchases two cakes for my son’s birthday. As I approached the cash I asked for their clear plastic cake bags and to my disappointment they said they did not have any. Due to their limited parking I decided not to take my car. Luckily I live near by so I can take the bus. However because I had to carry these two $40 cakes on top of one another, one of the cakes got damaged in the process. In previous years when I went it was no problem when they had bags but because of this issue I was left celebrating my son’s birthday with one damaged cake. It was very embarrassing around my family and guests and especially my son who had to take photos with this messy cake. I spoke to some other parents and they had the same issue with ARZ and their lack of care for the customers once they leave the store. Next time I will take my money to another store that shows care for their customers.
Decent store, with a lot of over priced stuff, grapes for $5 feet pound. No frills has same grapes for 1 to 2 dollars per pound. Etc. Arz brand canned foods (sold at some no frills) overpriced and not great quality. Their deli counter and sweets are wonderful and the prices aren't bad. If you need middle eastern foods they are ok
I like the selection, but found some items expired in canned goods and refrigerated section. Also quality if some of the produce poor. Staff friendly and cashier lineup goes quickly
