Went there to get my Kids Haircut and My beard Trimmed and DJ Was Amazing Would definitely go back

They aren't very good with female hair without their female hairstylist.

I went here with my boyfriend after making an appointment the day before and confirming day of that it would be 2 people and the lady never said that I would need a female hairstylist that wasn't in the day of and they only had it down has 1 person. I got a awsome undercut but the haircut itself didn't meet my expectations and wasn't what I wanted at all and it's uneven.

Sorry but no. Took my son (3,5years) to have his hair cut and left disappointed. It was supposed to be nice razor cut but my son's hair is different length all over his had.it doesn't look even, one side is def shorter the other. The stripes cut out on the sides of my sons head are not even, one side is significantly higher then the other.not to mention that I wanted something different to be cut out but wasn't even listened to-I got the impression that a lightning or sth different would be to much work. Some stray hair left longer, back looks like it was chopped.won't be back. I felt like Ralph was rushing to get as many customers done as possible.

I had my concerns of finding a new barber, so I checked some reviews and very quickly came across Ralph. I was not disappointed, he greeted me with a smile and was very attentive to what I was looking for. The entire experience was very relaxing. His attention to detail left me with a great fade and professionally styled. He made sure that stray hairs were at their absolute minimum, leaving me with an absence of that itchy feeling you so commonly experience when receiving a cut. Thank-you Ralph! I'll be seeing you again in the future.

Went their today for a cut early am walking cut, the receptionist was super nice and fun to talk to then, My new stylist DJ here at ashby grove, cleaned me up perfectly.took so much time and care into his work, awesome attitude and awesome work done, left feeling like a million bucks. The woman who cut my son's hair took a pretty large chunk out by his ear. He is good in the chair and knows not to squirm or move. In hindsight I now realise that she did not have time disinfect her equipment because she rushed from one client to my son. The salon itself feels crowded and filthy. I keep asking myself why did I go here not once but twice. Never again! Make sure you see your barbers disinfecting their equipment since cuts can happen and blood can get into the clippers.

My son had a haircut here, and it was the worst job I have ever seen. Unfortunately it can’t be fixed until his hair grows out. I did ask for a refund of my money & they refused. Extremely disappointed!

Had a great experience. Called ahead and made a same day appointment, arrived and started on time. Mo did a great job on my hair, and checked in throughout to make sure it was what I wanted. I’ve had some negative experiences at other shops in Oshawa but would definitely go back to Mo!

Poorly run. Terrible customer service. Waited 45 minutes after my sons appointment bed he even got into the chair. Why schedule appointments if you run nearly an hour late. Ridiculous

Sorry guys. Maybe it was a bad experience for me and the barber i had. You charge more than downtown Toronto barbers yet my beard was not lined up and my fade seemed rough in certain areas. The hot towel service was great. I can't give 5 stars though which i usually do for barbershops. Good luck but won't be coming back.

The place was filthy, absolutely hair everywhere. Nothing was in barbisol, all sitting on the counter dirty. Barber stunk of BO and didn’t listen to a thing I said I wanted. Hated the haircut so much I ended up shaving my head after and the beard trim was patchy as hell. This cost me just over 100 dollars with tip. Really wish I had it in me not to tip but here we are. I gave two stars because at least the wait time was very short with a packed room.

First i would like to say that i am not impressed with the Friday staff. I phoned in for an appointment with Ralph because I prefer his work and was told yeah he is here. I drove in from Bowmanville to the Oshawa centre just to find out that he was not in that day. They instead booked me with a man named Mo. I did not like my haircut at all and a couple days later had to return back to Ralph just to fix my hair! That mistake of letting anyone else touch my hair cost me a-lot of money.

Ralph was the most detailed hair stylist I have ever had. Took his time and was extremely thorough. Go see Ralph for the best cuts and shaves. Don't throw away your money with other barbers like Mo.

The barber performed very subpar work on my son's hair. It was actually disrespectful. The manager saved the day and fixed the cut.

Mohammed was amazing. I felt like I was at a family members visiting and getting a hair cut. It was the best hair cut I've gotten in a long time! Personable, talented and the music was great:)

Been going here for about a year now my main guy is Ralph, he gives the best fades I've ever had.
Definitely recommend!

Short and simple. I was not happy with the response/approach I got when I try to get a hair cut for my son. Got there around 12: 45pm and was told the wait time would be up until around 2: 30. I didn’t mind the wait time. I asked if she can call me around 2pm, she is telling that unfortunately she can’t but, mind you, a customer (a white man) who was immediately in front of me (a black woman) was told he has a wait time up until 2pm, AND was told she will call him around that time.

Brother in law, Remi raves about YAAD. He loves his fade and beard shaves. I'm going to start sending my husband and son!

This place is great. They do an amazing job. They also did an amazing job on my son witch is no easy task

Such a nice place, I took my 2.5 year old son in to get a haircut. And the barber (Ralph I believe) was so patient (as my son was acting up lol) and did not rush one bit. He was absolutely fantastic. Defiantly will be going back. Thank you!

It was my first time there and I know I'll be back again. Very friendly, comfortable environment, and I was served by a very gifted young man who turned my mushroom cut into a stylish short 'do! Went there, my son got his hair cut by a barber but I didn't like what was done to his hair. So I went back and a darker male helped us and fixed my sons hair so nicely! Great recover from an almost bad experience!

Mandem was 10 minutes late but styll blessed up the fresh fade alhie mans spent a gud 50 minutes blessing up. Shordie was mad cheesed it took long but litty bout the cut

My son is 7 and has been going to Andre for over a year now. Andre knows what my son wants and i dont need to tell him anything. My son considers Andre his barber, and as a male a great barber is hard to find. He is the best barber at the shop thus far.

Got a great haircut here, Memo took his time and did a great job cutting my hair quite close to a picture that I showed him hard to find places that don’t just rush you in and out.

I was turned away because I was a girl and and the guy told me that I would be better going to a "girl stylist", but I wanted stereotypical Male hairstyle.

My son has had a couple of bad experiences and ended up growing his hair out so we could go back into the city for a proper cut. Driving all the way to Toronto to his usual place for a cut is too far though. We took a chance and went to Ashby Grove and met Yad. This man is a talent! Not only that, but he is so engaging and made sure my son would be happy with what he planned to do before going ahead and doing it. My son and I were so very happy I absolutely had to write a review! All their staff were so great and accommodating! Loved the experience. Yad, you are so absolutely fantastic, talented, friendly and we won't be seeing any other barber! Would highly recommend this place to everyone! Thanks so much!

They were excellent with my toddler (18 months). They took us in right away, offered the washroom to change him, and were very accommodating in ways to make him comfortable with the experience. Also, it was a great style! Very happy and would come back again.

I went to Yad for the king service and I walked out feeling amazing! I will never go anywhere else now. My hair looked amazing and my face felt so good after the face mask i got done and my line up was amazing i would go here again and will tell all my buddies to come here too!

Yad, gave me the best haircut I've ever had.
He fixed my poorly done haircut and by the time I moved out, I had a 5 star haircut.

Have been getting my haircut here for a couple years now. Most of the Barbers are very good and give excellent service. I have had 6-7 different barbers here before. One stands above the rest for his attention to detail, skill, and service. I have being going to a Yad my past 3 or 4 times now and everytime he remembers me and greets me as such. He takes his time, never rushes and communicates well. He provides styling advice for your specific hair, all at a very reasonable price. Haircuts have never looked better, thanks Yad!

100% satisfied every time I leave. Went in because I had a stress disorder that causes me to pull out my hair bits at a time, I went in expecting to hear they couldn’t really do nothing for it but they had previous clients that have the same stress disorder so they knew what to do. I left with a clean shave and a fresh new look 100% recommend to anyone to go to Ashby grove for all their hair and facial needs.

I've been to Ashby Grove a couple times and I would have to say it has been a very good experience every time. Staff is friendly and great all around. I was paired up with a gentleman by the name of Yad who took great detail to give me a very satisfying hair cut. Would totally recommend this place.

Rebaz gave a great haircut when I went there a couple days ago. Overall great place to go if you’re looking for a haircut. Only gripe I have with my visit was another barber that was in the shop (not Rebaz) was being very confrontational and rude. Otherwise awesome cut and good service.

You want a proper EVEN beard trim then Rebaz is the man! He takes his time, and makes sure its properly done. I've easily had 40 different people trim my beard over the years, and no one has done it as well as Rebaz. This isnt some fake review to get a one time discount or gift. Rebaz is hands down the best.
