A beautiful place where animals get to live out their lives in peace, others have the chance to be rehabilitated and released back into the wild. They offer guided tours for their long time animal residents, as well as a small gift shop, All proceeds go to the sanctuary!

Fantastic work being done at Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary. We took the guided tour in January and learned so much about their work. They clearly care so much about the animals. They always aim to release animals that go through rehab, unless the animal is too habituated to survive in the wild. Then they keep the habituated animal and give them a happy and healthy life at the sanctuary. We do not get to see the rehab/wild release animals so that they don't get habituated to humans, which I appreciate. Our tour guide was Katherine and she was fantastic. Our booking coordinator was Désirée, and she was so friendly and helpful. We look forward to coming back in the warmer months to see the animals that were hibernating!

I can't visit Aspen Valley because of my disability, but what I've seen them do is amazing and care for the animals and return them back to their homes. The staff and volunteers are amazing and I love to support them and hope that you can too

We went for our 15yr olds bday and we were so impressed! Amazing team of volunteers that are so knowledgeable and you can just see how much they care about the animals in their care. We were lucky and managed to see the porcupine coyotes, artic and silver fox, wolves, bear, lynx and moose. If you can please support this amazing place.

We had an amazing time with Désirée as our tour guide. We chose to have the Personal Wildlife experience and were impressed not only with their resident animals, but also with their effort to rehabilitate wildlife. We will certainly be back and hope to continue helping in other ways.

Amazing organization. They took in an injured bird we found on our property and were so great explaining everything to my young daughter to make her feel better. Their tours are amazing too.

Amazing people helping amazing animals!

Both Désirée the tour coordinator and Jeremiah our guide were super friendly and extremely knowledgeable about everything wildlife! We had a wonderful tour meeting many beautiful animals and learned a great deal about wildlife and the hard work that goes into their preservation.

Thoroughly enjoyed our time here and can’t wait to visit again! Next time I’ll be bringing peanuts for the bears! (and those sneaky squirrels!)

A top tier animal sanctuary. Staff and volunteers were very enthusiastic and informative. They treat the animals with utmost respect. This is an icon of the muskokas. Go for the guided tour! Well worth it.

Called this morning about an injured young racoon. Received a call back within 30 minutes. A lovely person called Jan agreed to take the racoon. Drove 1 hour and 40 minutes as there was no where local that could take the racoon. They team as Aspen were very compassionate and kind. Thank you again for all your help today.

If i could give aspen 0 stars, i would.not sure what type of power trip the management here is on, but their treatment of staff is abhorrent.disgusting attitudes towards volunteers and staff members.it's all well and good to have a blooming wildlife sanctuary that is clearly doing well, but what's the point if you treat your staff like garbage?
the manager at this place needs to evaluate how she talks to young people.moreover, how can you not allow staff and volunteers to use wifi whilst living there? ! What kind of medieval rule is that; it is 2022 and you're seriously telling me you don't allow staff to use wifi because you don't want to pay the bill? Even after you don't pay a penny to the volunteers who work so hard and live with minimal privacy? What a joke!
anyway, the old woman who is manager - not sure of her name, maybe Jane? - is notorious for treating POC and Black staff members with malice and frankly i think it is absurd.she is a very rude lady who seriously needs to recheck how she treats people.they send students back to their home, even if they have to travel for hours and accumulate an expensive travel bill, straight away if they are injured even a little bit.what kind of inhumane rubbish is this? Where is the empathy? I get it, it's an animal sanctuary but how can there be more empathy expressed to wild animals than there is to the staff who make up this place?
ultimately, i am disgusted with the managers such as Jane and the way she operates this otherwise beautiful place.

I am a volunteer who drops off injured wildlife. I responded to a call for an injured gull and picked up the fledgling in Huntsville and took it to the Sanctuary. The process was smooth and it felt so good to be part of a rescue!

I didn't even know that this place existed. This place looks awesome and I can't wait until they are allowed to open to the public. Once they reopen, I'm going to take a tour of the facilities and their animals. I'm sure I'll update my review after my visit.

We found an orphaned bird and the volunteers at Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary were friendly and helpful. They took the bird in right away! They even gave us a code in order to keep tabs on it. We thank them for all the hard work they do to help wildlife in need!

Excellent Wildlife Sanctuary. I had a great tour from Howard. They do keep some animals which can't go back into the wild, however their aim is to help them heal and release them back into the wild.

This is a non profit organization and a wonderful place.they help so many of ontario's wild life and they also take in animals from other places. The tour I was on was fantastic took about an hour and a half. The tour guide was great she was friendly and very knowledgeable. Thanks Desiree, It's a great way to spend a few hours and learn so much, plus the cost of the tour goes to helping the animals, my 12 year old granddaughter had a great time and learned a lot about ontario's wild life also.
