Extremely disappointing! Been to Astoria in the past and it seems there portions have gotten worse. Ordered the chicken and lamb pita wraps. For the price they charge the portions are so small and not made properly. The village salad had no onions, green peppers and cucumber. Cheap on portions but not price. Better off going to Mezinis on the Danforth. They make huge portions whether it is a wrap or entrée so you are getting your moneysworth. Never going back Astoria.

I have frequented this location and recently celebrated a birthday. The food was delicious as always. You can order anything and you can't go wrong. Dinning experience is excellent as staff are always attentive but not overbearing. They pay attention to detail such as making the experience special for children as well. Whether you come for a business meal, to celebrate a special occasion or for a family moment this is a guaranteed location.

So I ended up coming here with six other people, and it was.lackluster. The souvlaki wasn't really anything to write home about.

I got the lamb, and my party got either pork or chicken. The meat itself was flavorful, but the pork was only alright. The potatoes that came with it were fantastic though. The Greek salad was also delicious. The rice was.soggy and lacked any actual flavour.

I also ended up getting a long island iced tea. It was ~8$ and it wasn't really that great either.

I spent a total of 40.84.

I wouldnt go back, but it hit the spot for sure.

It was not bad. I didn't love the grilled calamari, should come with thaziki, everything should come with thaziki! I would go back and try dips.

I was not impressed. Service and food one star at this location in Mississauga.

The waiter was unfriendly at first. Threw the sugar container at the table. At the end of our late lunch, he was friendlier.food is the same. We go to that restaurant a few times pre covid.

Had the lunch express chicken souvlaki with Greek salad, potatoes and the tastiest tzatziki. Ordered dolmades as an appetizer and that was yummy too. Great value and the perfect portion. Third time I've eaten at an Astoria this summer and the food and service is top notch!

Oh, how I missed the Lamb Souvlaki. This place still does takeout, but good news - the patio is open! Of course I will come back!

Came in with my family, restaurant was not busy 7: 40pm. Hostess insisted that I needed to sit in a four top table that was open. I requested to sit at the open section that was empty with six seater tables. She refused and lied to me and said it was reserved. Restaurant had lots of room. Luckily before i was getting ready to leave waitress came over and told us Hostess doesnt know anything and moved us to a better spot. Food was good, portion were good and waitress service was very good.

Amazing food, I highly recommend Astoria! Great portions and amazing flavour. Their tzatziki sauce is THE BEST I have ever had. I am a regular customer here and I will continue to eat here as long as they exist.

Love this restaurant, but for the first time I decided to do take out and was so disappointed. The portion was so much smaller, and with the price increased recently, I feel very much ripped off. My salad was 1/4 the size of the normal size. I ordered the pork and beef salvacki, and definitely hope this isn't the new size. Definitely not ordering take out again

Not very consistent for take out. We are trying to support local restaurants but unfortunately this place disappoints. First experience was excellent. Fresh checken souvlaki. We ordered around 5pm today and ate chicken that was obviously recooked. Dark and dry. I would have returned it except for COVID challenges. It's not OK to skimp if you want some business.

Astoria has great food and really kind staff. I placed an order for takeout and had to call back and add to my order and they were extremely understanding and flexible. I even ordered an extra Greek salad when I arrived to pick up my food and they were able to add it to my order quickly. All of my food was delicious we got the chicken souvlaki pita, calamari entree and chicken souvlaki entree. My only critique is that my chicken was a bit dry but the extra tzatziki sauce they threw in helped.

My friend and I weren't able to get into Open Cork one Friday night so we decided to try Astoria. We were both excited as we are fans of the Danforth location.

Unfortunately this location fell short. Albeit clean, there is really no ambiance. It had the vibe of a restaurant seniors would go to for an early dinner. My friend had wanted a cocktail ahead of dinner but I recall the only thing they served was a Caesar. I had a glass of red wine, which was flat. I was hoping for a fuller body that could hold up to a Greek dinner.

We shared the Saganaki, which was amazing but close to $20. We also each ordered the Fried Calamari Dinner, which was disappointing. We were expecting the real Greek version that you get on the Danforth but this was a frozen version (likely purchased from Allseas) and thrown in the fryer. Rice, potatoes, salad were average.

The restaurant started to clear out very early so we just paid the nice waitress and went on our way.

Amazing greek food.friendly servers.so much flavour and huge portions! I had the chicken souvlaki and my husband had the lamb chops.would give it 10 stars if I could.also try the calamari - perfectly done. Ask for Dennis, the nicest server ever!

It's a family restoraunt, expensive alcohol, okay food, but nice atmosphere and good service with some novelty stuff tossed in. I'd prefer less food at cheaper prices.

Tried it last weekend for the first time and was a very positive experience overall. The food was delicious and very fresh and the service was great. We came with a large group and everyone got what they ordered exactly, and fast although the place was very busy. We would definitely return

We had our Holiday lunch catered today. The food was unbelievable! Everyone loved it. Priced under our budget and it was delivered on time with great customer service and very professional. And that tzatziki sauce! We will def order catering from here again. Portions were large, we had more that enough food.

Just like other reviewers I'm surprised of a high rating this place got. I went with my family yesterday and I was very dissapointed. The place was not busy, however we waited 20 minutes for someone to take our order, I was actually getting ready to leave. Waiters were too busy socializing, laughing and chatting away instead of attending to customers. $28 for a stick of chicken and 5 fries with a spoon of rice is outrageously expensive. Grilled calamari were undercooked, some peieces were actually raw. But poor customer service killed it for me. I will not be back, yuk.

Great food and great service, I am from out of town and every time I visit Mississauga I plan my trip to stop in for some delicious food.

The tzatziki is out of this world. Everytime I visit I fly some back to Alberta with me. I hope they never change the recipe. If you love garlic a lot. This is one to try

My family has been coming to Astoria for over 20 years. We enjoy the food and the atmosphere. The food is always prepared fresh and right to order, and be prepared they serve large portions so you always leave full! I highly recommend everyone to come check out this restaurant for a great Greek food experience. It does get busy so I always recommend a reservation on the weekends.

A great Greek restaurant. Service is very courteous and attending. We tried chicken and lamb soulvakis and mixed grill which were very delecious. We also ordered Greek coffee which was very good.

Been coming here for over 10 yrs. One of the best Greek restaurants especially for their great tasting tzatziki and feta. However, their prices have gone up and quantity slightly less. Lunch menu is worth it. A la carte has increased in pricing sadly.

After a recommendation from a friend, our party of three decided to try Astoria on Dundas. Not only did we thouruoghly enjoy our experience, but it may have become one of my favourite restaurants.

Our server, Tommy, was fantastic! Not only was he professional (with a kind personable touch), but was prompt with service, refilling beverages and checking in to see how we were enjoying our food. A real gem with a great sense of humour.

The food was incredible. I will say this: if you come here try the saganaki (sheep milk cheese) as an appetizer. Tommy mentioned it was a signature, and it was. Fresh, and served with warm pita. Our mains consisted of chicken soulaki, and two portions of the pork sausage. The chicken was succulent, and well seasoned. The pork sausage had a nice consistency with a hint of citrus and mint. Many choices of sides to be chosen from including seasoned rice, roasted potatoes, vegetable medley, fries etc. I've never been a fan of roasted potatoes, but the picture in the menu made me ponder. The potatoes were firm on the outside, and melted on the inside coated with a savoury marinade. As for the greek salad: it was on point! Fresh crisp lettuce and tomatoes, onion, olives, and excellent quality feta cheese (you'll want to order more).

Thank you Astoria and Tommy for such a wonderful experience. The three of us can't wait to visit again, and we will definetely recommend.

Pricey for the quality. The calamari was slightly overcooked and the veg platter came with a few small spanikopita and chilled dolmades (as well as rice and potatoes). I would have preferred hot dolmades, but didn't know to ask. Nice restaurant, enjoyed the decor, service was lovely.

Much like other reviews, out experience was quite under whelming. The restaurant looks great on the inside, but that's about the only great thing about the establishment. I'm very surprised at how high the restaurant was ranked.

Food was okay, nothing exceptional at all. There are many other Greek options available in Mississauga where the food is just as good if not better.

With the food not being all that unique, you'd think prices would be fair. The prices, however, were off the charts in my opinion. For example: $21+tax for a small portion of the typical chicken souvlaki plate! What kind of starting point is that for a small dinner. I assume it is a costly operation and the money going to all the staff they have working. It must have been a 1: 1 ratio of staff to customer, not very efficient in my mind.

We love eating here! The food is ALWAYS great. Pork, beef and chicken souvlaki are yummy! The lamb, saganaki and the potatoes are amazing. The salad is gigantic and loaded with feta cheese! My family and I have been going here for years- every excuse we get to go out. On our last visit, Dennis treated us so well. We always love the food, and dennis’ service was also phenomenal!

Ok. Definitely not great. The salad was ok, but tomatoes were overripe. Had the chicken souvlaki meal, rice was actually mushy, was not impressed. Chicken was very well done, with good taste. Service was very good as well. Overall though would not go back, was only ok Greek.

If you are in the area you must visit this restaurant. Great food, big portions, reasonable prices, and a great selection of both traditional and non-traditional dishes.

Our family has been going to Astoria for over 35 years. We started going to the Danforth location and loved their food. Since then we have taken more family and friends to enjoy their food. When the Mississauga location opened, we started frequenting that since we were also living there. Yesterday, May 12,2018, we decided to go there for dinner as it was my son's birthday and also one of his favourite places. We ordered our usual pork souvlaki dinner. As soon as we started eating, my husband said to me "there is something different about this. I was also thinking the same, the food seemed tasteless. When we asked the waiter if they had a new chef, he said no but several people had commented on the food in the past couple of months, because they were using a different cut of meat. Anyway for us, we will not be going back there because if the food does not taste as good and the price has not kept up with the quality of the food there is no point. We are actually very disappointed!

Nice enviroment, and lovely service, like a true 5 stars service, food is delicious.
I gave 4 stars because of what i experienced there, i dont know if this happens in other restaurants, so I ordered my salad, and i can add a chicken breast for 6$, so i asked for 2 breasts which should be 12$ now. But they charged for the 1st one 6$ and the second one 9.99$, i always do that in many restaurants, only this place charged me more. So when your order is a bit different from what is in the menu, be careful with the pricing. Other than that the restaurant is so nice.

I really enjoy my lunches here. Good quality food and fair pricing. The saganaki is too die for! If you are lucky enough to have MARIA serve you that's just an added bonus! (Dundas St. Location)

If you like a tasty Greek souvlaki this place might be for you! We ordered a small pork souvlaki dinner and a chicken souvlaki on a bun along with a saganaki starter with flames and everything! All the food was very tasty and the staff real friendly. The dinner came with a salad and garlic bread these were great. Prices are ok but not cheap. All in all a good outing

Great, charming location, but a little disappointed with the quality of food! Not very fresh: the french fries were served not even warm and some of the other dishes you could tell they just got a little warmed up just before being served. The salad was very good though and so was the service.

The food at Astoria is comforting and hearty. Typically I call when leaving my office to request a take out small lamb souvlaki dinner - which is enough for two, and ready in 20 minutes when I pass the restaurant. The staff are kind, honouring my request for no rice and extra of their delicious Greek salad. The tzaziki is delicious and the warm pita bread perfect for mopping up the rich drippings from the roasted potatoes. The lamb is always cooked to preference and impresses me with how juicy and yet overall lean it is, unlike other lamb kebabs available locally.
Astoria continues to be a welcome treat despite a recently noted small price increase. From my own grocery bill and news reports I am aware that food costs have increased drastically this past year and appreciate Astoria maintaining their generous portion sizes and high quality standards.
