It has served me well over the years but can we please open up the steam room. It’s been closed since 2021 and I don’t see why it hasn’t been reopened.

Best Olympic sized pool in downtown Toronto. You need a membership to use the pool, which is available to all U of T students as part of their student fees, but also available to community members who pay a monthly or annual fee. The pool offers daily lane swimming, springboard diving, and rec swimming times for members. Changerooms are vast and there's a steam sauna and showers. There's also a family changeroom for people who need more privacy.

It is also rented (in full or in part) by local aquatics clubs such as diving, scuba, water polo and synchronized swimming clubs, which you can join separately.

It has good facilities (e.g. Gym, swimming pool, changing rooms etc), but I wish they had dedicated places to play ping pong/table tennis.
13 December 2022 11:21
Great place to workout! Some of the equipment is a bit broken though, but that's alright, you'll still get muscles here. The staff at the front desk is ok but the staff inside the facilities is very nice. Will be returning often.

Such a cool brutalist building. If you find yourself in the area you should look in. Lots of great details to take in.

Very big Sports center belonging to Toronto University. Olímpic size swimming pool, big indoor running track and many more different rooms for different sports. They provide also camps for kids
12 November 2022 6:17
It's pretty good location, lots of functions. Although the kids classes are a bit hard to sign up due to popularity.

They have a good all around gym for all oly, body building, crossfiters, track sports swimmers etc.
They have a weight lifting room where you can drop the weights with eleiko bars and rogue racks. York bumpers. I’m visiting from Vancouver bc it was the best gym I’ve been to so far. Better than good life imo. Would come again.

Mainly UofT students and staff attend here. “Community members”, non-staff and members of community can also attend here. It’s a large building with a variety of gym equipment and activities available. There is a 50m pool, 25 yard pool and a kids size pool, swimming lessons and swimming activities are available too.

Great place to have downtown! COVID policies are inconsistent and confusing as of April 24 2022. Makes for an unpleasant experience
28 November 2021 16:18
Morning staff (she/her) who check a booking at the entrance is very rude, she was not willing to help at all even though there was booking error systematically.

The AC rocks. So many fond memories here while I was a student, and also post-studies. Just a solid place with great people. Highly recommend membership here - so much better than any commercial gym chain - plus you get access to other U of T facilities - like Goldring. Extra discounts for alumni, recent grads, seniors.

If you’re not a student and looking for a community membership i would pass. Not worth the price and culture is a bit toxic at times.
12 March 2020 20:22
Value for money. Excellent fascilities for a student. Provides a more all round experience in comparison to hart house and goldring
21 February 2020 21:21
Just had to drive over a delivery and it was my first time here and wow! Beautiful place! Looked like all of the kids were having a great time!
13 February 2020 13:46
The pool and installations are clean. The temperature of the pool is very good, not too hot not too cold. The staff treat you with respect and gives you the right information when you ask for questions.
07 February 2020 23:06
50m pool with great lighting! Shout out to coach Kelvin from Oannes; coach Ayesha from Team Atomica; and coach Tereza Macel from TMac!
25 December 2019 1:36
Solid, has what you need to get in a good workout or whatever activity you wanna take part in, really good spot for pick up games.
11 November 2019 2:55
Love using the 50 meter pool when its open to the public.the full 50 m is only available a certain times. Check the schedule at U of T
28 October 2019 16:11
Although the equipments are complete and good, I hate its vibe and atmosphere. It is always crowded. I always regret to chose AC instead of Goldring Center.
18 October 2019 6:32
Do you love swimming? Will you're love this place. Beautiful pools. Nice and clean with a nice atmosphere
06 October 2019 1:53
Great place to gym, especially being a UofT student. Easy to get in, and lots of facilities. Lots of drop in sports are held here too due to the several courts this place holds. Has several entrances to access this large facility. Plenty to do!
08 September 2019 6:10
Tennis courts here are absolutely unplayable. Compared to a normal court, the ball bounces 5 feet forward and way too high. Nets are also like 5 inches too high.
27 August 2019 21:36
Give complex covering virtually everything you can think of. Memberships are not limited to students so non-U of T academics/personnel may purchase a membership. Lots of programs to choose from for both children and adults.
12 August 2019 20:41
University of Toronto's large gymnasium. The Olympic-sized pool is very popular amongst both the students and the locals. They're also 3 basketball courts in the top floor (sometimes tennis court or volleyball courts) and tracks. There is a hardwood basketball court, where the Varsity team plays. There is also a weight room, with some women only hours, in the main floor. The membership is fairly expensive, and if you're student and not taking summer classes, you'll have to pay to use the facilities.
09 July 2019 8:06
The atmosphere here is so dynamic!
It is encouraging to work out and to be surrounded by an energetic entourage.
08 July 2019 5:05
Nice swimming pool and locker room. The swimming pool is a little bit old and crowded but it’s a good place for lap swimming.
01 July 2019 20:26
Large pool, mezzanine is clean. Sometimes it’s confusing to find an unlocked door to the pool (from the outside).
24 May 2019 6:34
Meh. The facility always smells a little weird and varsity players aren't always the friendliest people, but otherwise cool
06 April 2019 22:45
Fully equipped facility for all your athletic needs. Well staffed, usually never over crowded, always a good experience. No reason not to stay active and in shape!
19 March 2019 10:26
It was great to watch the MWCSS Jr girls volleyball team win the TDCAA championship. UofT AC is a great sports facility that accommodates both water and court sports activities. There is a small cafeteria in the building.
02 December 2018 12:26
Love this UofT jewel. My daughter takes driving lessons her. A truly amazing environment and facility.
04 November 2018 13:41
This is a great gym. Locker rooms are always clean and field house is always nice and clean as well. The weight room is clean smelling and peaceful during women's hours. During peak hours and once women's hours end, it can get very smelly and loud.

Edit: The student staff here are super helpful and friendly. However the older staff here are so RUDE the old guy with balding black hair that gives out towels is always so grumpy and the older bald guy with grey moustache says ugh S_t! Another forgotten card when I forgot my wallet in my locker and had to tell him my student number. Are you even allowed to swear at clients using the gym? ! This is so rude and I only see this kind of don't care attitude in the older staff. They obviously hold seniority because they're not afraid to lose their jobs.
04 November 2018 7:18
Nice place to a few games of pong with friends, hit the gym and train to compete in the varsity teams at UofT
30 October 2018 16:23
This is an excellent place to work out. It's a pillar in the University of Toronto athletic and sport culture community. The change rooms are well-equipped and spacious and they have two pools, racket courts, a gym and lots of other facilities. The only problem with this space is that it tends to be very crowded. Mostly between 1pm and 9pm.

It can get crowded as early as 8am during the start of term rush. Much more open in the Summers and holidays.

The main gym is also extremely loud due to the power lifters yelling and slamming weights around.

Still the best gym at the UofT even with the fancy new goldring.

This is a great facility to do cardio, run around a track, workout on machines, and do various exercises. It is a highly motivational facility. It's primarily for locals or university students.
