This program allowed my son the progress and develop in his desire to learn and become a better football player. He was able to develop and grow as a goalie and as a defender. No one can contest Marcus passion and love for the game and his desir to see these kids improve and learn the game. His investment to the team and the players is real and comes from the heart. He cares about these kids and has their best interest at heart. His training is top notch and there are very few coaches at the rep or academy level that have the amount of certifications and coaching levels as he does. When we first arrived for a tryout three years ago we knew this was the place in which to develop our child's soccer, physicality, committment and social bonding with a great set of teamates. The coaches, led by Marcus, were always driven by detail, technical knowledge, committment to the kids and a great deal of warmth also! Marcus is an excellent coach; he demands the best for ALL his participants and pushes each and every one of them to strive for improvement, confidence, soccer (and personal) growth, as well as having a good bonding time with teamates and the AFC Southampton community. Marcus and his great team pushed our child to grow so much that he now plays skillfully and confidently. I have never met a coaching team that put so much effort into development. Forever grateful. AFC is a highly recommended club that takes pride in developing the children, both on and off the field. Growth in your children’s soccer skills are inevitable with the training and development provided! My son flourished while playing there and even had the opportunity to travel and play in Scotland.
