My friend called in to get a quote on some Pokemon cards that she also priced on Ebay. When she came in the guy told her that this is the kind of stuff they'd give away to kids for free and it wasn't worth anything, and pressured her into giving it to them for free. She gave it to them in the moment because of the pressure but regretted it after.

I called Steve to ask if I would price match a black friday Pokemon 151 ultra premium set which he did. First time to visit the store and was impressed with the variety of trading cards. Before I left another gentleman from the store gave us additional Pokemon cards. Thank you.

Good store and lots of product/singles however prices are out of date especially on singles. Sucks to have to pull up real prices every time you want to buy a card.

This place is the spot for all your collector card/tournament and hobby needs if they don't have they will know who or where does or better yet they can probably even order it for you! They have amazing resources and customer service defiantly a 10 out of 10 recommended spot to at least check out once if not more and a 6 out of 5 star rating!

Great hidden gem of a store. Lots of space to play games, lots of variety of cards and games. Prices are competitive with other places and employees very friendly. They have different events going on every night as well so there's something for everyone.

How can you possibly justify your sports card prices? It is well known through the card community that Atlas' card prices are quite literally atrocious. For example, a Miguel Cabrera card #/50 is for sale for $50 when it has a sold comp of $8.95 on eBay. I would really like to be informed on who comes up with the prices.

Amazing place had fun opening a booster box I bought with them. Everyone is super friendly great vibes all around. Love these guys definitely coming back! Here’s a picture of my pulls.

I went to a Prerelease here and was really impressed. A clean, well organized store with friendly staff, and welcoming play environment. Looking forward to more visits here!

I live in BC, and placed an order for 4 collectibles. I was more than happy with the service and fast shipping I received. The items arrived well packed. The entire process was seamless. Above all, Eric, and his staff were extremely helpful and offered great support and answered all of my questions before and after placing my order. They are a very attentive business and have earned a customer for life. Highly recommended! 5 stars in every way!

I want to reach out to the owners/managers of Atlas Collectables in Waterloo. First of all I want to start off by saying, all the staff have been friendly and kind to us during our recent visit to the store, but there have been two in particular that I’d like to address. Blake was the first that my son (Jacob, 13 yrs old) and I spoke with in regards to learning more about the Metazoo TCG world and he was extremely helpful in answering all my sons questions and engaging with him on a real human level. Not just talking to me, the adult, but really making my son feel important and talking on a level playing field with him. Jacob was very interested in learning more and coming Thursday’s to train (Play) Metazoo. Blake recommended Steve and that he would be here Thursday to answer anymore questions and teach him more about game play and the game itself. I honestly can’t say enough about Steve and how he has gone above and beyond (Blake as well) to make my son feel so welcome not only in the Metazoo community/world but also at Atlas. My son has gone twice now, the last two Thursday's to play and it is now his most favourite day (he wishes there were more days to come and play lol) and can’t wait to talk to Steve and Blake about Metazoo every week. He is raving to all his friends about Metazoo and Atlas (especially about Steve and Blake).
The light and excitement my son has for this game is a reflection of these two guys. Steve has made himself available to answer any questions my son has, provided him with many resources to play the game and reach out to other Metazoo players and help him advance his understanding and interest. Honestly I can’t say enough about them and how they have made him feel like part of a team. It is heartwarming to see my son (after the years we have all had) to feel lifted up, apart of something and have these guys behind him. You can definitely see their passion for what they do and how much they love to see others be apart of it.
Sorry for the long review but too often people like these guys don’t get the recognition for the amazing contribution they make and how big of an impact they have on a young person.
Thank you for letting me share our story and experience at Atlas this far. My son will be there Thursday nights for Metazoo with bells on and can’t wait to see Blake and Steve.

(Fun fact, been shopping here for 3 years now, over 40 transactions, thousands of $$$, AND I've even got an account with credit! -and I'm gonna explain why this is the worst card store, I have ever been to)

It's always something with this place. If there's not some guy walking around with a beer and a "medicated" vape (see the attached image, like why?), its a kid eating greasy chicken fingers and fries, dreading checking the condition of my 100+$$$ trade ins (without wiping, of course).

Not to mention, this place can't pick an order to save its life. Always a nightmare. I order at about 5-6PM the day prior, and drive up about 8PM the day after I order, and most times, I'm greeted with two or three employees chatting and sitting at the counter telling me how they're "so busy" and "can't pick my order today" that consists of a single bitterblossom:)

I'm not expecting 5* service either, I get it, there's lots of people buying cards in a day, but on the same token, I can count on two hands the number of times the often mouthy staff tell me "oh yea ill get someone picking that right away", only to tour the city for hours, and come back to a "oops still haven't grabbed your single card".

If the business's focus is on shipping out online sales that's fine.but then, don't pretend that you care about shoppers that aren't buddybuddy with your staff, especially when responding to these reviews:)

I could go on and on about the same stuff as the other reviews you see. It's slow. Nobody cares about your existence if you're not a local, 110% TCGPlayer price, etc, etc.

This store clearly cares about their customers, I can always count on the staff being honest - and their prices seem to be cheapest in the country!

I cannot recommend against visiting this store enough. The experience overall is pretty terrible. Some of the part time staff are nice, honest people. But the manager makes the experience miserable. He is often berating members of his staff Infront of customers, seems to be working while under the influence, and is miserable at grading cards. Be careful when buying reserved list cards here as the near mint condition they advertise is usually closer to moderately played

Very knowledgeable and fair prices on trades and purchases. The gentleman at the counter took the time for this noob to explain some of the finer points and details about the types cards I was interested in collecting. Great customer service, I would give a six if I could!

Cool place! I wasn't able to stay long, but the store seemed incredibly organized and we'll run. The Pokemon TCG tournament that I was able to quickly see looked equally well managed by the staff member in charge of that matter. The rest of the staff I chatted with were also very helpful and polite.

I thought this place was decent until it started charging eBay prices on its cards. This place is the biggest card scam to come to Ontario. If you know what's right for you, you won't let these people scam and rip you off.
I paid more for cards at Atlas then I would've at Walmart lol. Walmart has cheaper prices avoid Atlas Scalpers.

Atlas has very reasonable pricing. They have a large variety of products. Their customer support is really helpful as well. One of the very few lgs that is overall very sound. Their staff are very knowledgeable and give honest opinions

Used to be my No. 1 my go-to place but it's starting to go downhill. Online orders take significantly longer to fill, missing cards, cards consistently going out of stock by the time my order gets filled (as a result of a long fulfillment time), getting charged for those out of stock cards etc. Seems like I need to check my cards and cross reference my receipt/order every time I go now. Probably still a good spot for sealed products but I'll be visiting less frequently in the future for any singles.

TL;DR Not a bad store just not as fast, reliable and pleasant as it used to be just a few months ago.

Best prices in the local area! Spacious play space and cool people work there. Would recommend if you live in the KW area.

Atlas is the best place in all of Ontario the staff there is amazing Julie is amazing she’s very helpful this is the best store in all of Canada I recommend this store to everyone this is the best place to sell your Pokémon book I’m proud to say that I’m coming there from now on to spend more of my money thank you Atlas for being the best TCG shop ever

I do not know how a man who can stick his finger in a women's face and yell obscenities at her in front of 50 kids is still aloud to stay open. The way you treated that lady was disgusting. Especially in front of kids.

I've been here twice thanks to my friend Ryans recommendation and was not disappointed. Ended up trading in a bunch of stuff some new items to add into my collection, staff is very knowledgable and easy to approach. Greg is awesome and I can't remember the other guy that helped me out but he was awesome as well. Will become a regular here for sure!

Great collection of MTG, modest collection of Pokemon cards, a gradually growing collection of Flesh and Blood stuff. Not a huge variety of other stuff though. The place is clean, hosts regular events and does it well.

A great store if you are into Card Games. Lots of Pokemon and Magic cards and lots of table for game play. Selection of other games is somewhat limited. They have some D&D books and supplies but not a huge variety of other stuff. I played in a Sunday D&D game and they had one of the best DMs I have ever played with in 30 years of gaming. I was also happy to see the place lived up it's LGBT friendly billing and pronouns of individuals were asked and respected.

On the downside staff are not generally wearing masks in my experience there and it can be challenging being part of a D&D game when there is a tournament or other activities going on. I am told the store is expanding into the adjacent space and then there will be a seperate space for gaming which will be helpful.
(Edit note: I previously mentioned an issue which hasn't been repeated in my repeated trips back so i removed it from my review)

The store used to be a gym or yoga study so has a surprising number of well equipped washrooms and is clean and well kept.

Accessibility note the store is on the second floor with pretty steep stairs.

Atlas Collectibles is easily the most incompetent group of individuals that I have ever dealt with. And trust me, this is not hyperbole.

I ordered three 1st edition cards from them: Blue-Eyes White Dragon (SDBE-EN001), The Winged Dragon of Ra (PGLD-EN031), and Obelisk the Tormentor (PGLD-EN030). And guess what: The wrong versions (ie. Unlimited) of each card were sent to me.

I'll start with Obelisk the Tormentor. When I opened my package, I noticed right away that this card was missing. I contacted Atlas Collectibles about this and they told me it was missing. But if they knew, then why didn't they tell me in advance? Were they hoping that I wouldn't notice? Did they think I would just turn a blind eye toward this? And why didn't they issue me a refund if they knew it was missing? Whatever the reason, I readily admit that I remain deeply insulted by this. To make matters worse I had to ask multiple times for a refund!

Let's move onto Blue-Eyes and Ra. Although these cards did arrive, I received unlimited versions and not 1st edition versions. I sent these cards back to Atlas Collectibles, who in turn told me that they would send replacement cards. But guess what? When these "replacement" cards arrived, they were still unlimited and not 1st edition ones! And even funnier, I compared the photos of the cards that I received the first time with the ones that I received the second time and they seemed to be identical (including the card sleeves!).

At that point, I decided to ask for a full refund. I had absolutely no faith in their ability to get my order correct which is why I decided that waiting for replacement cards was not worth the stress. And yes, much like with Obelisk I had to ask multiple times in order to get a full refund for Blue-Eyes and Ra.

As a customer, I never should have had to chase after a seller multiple times in order to correct a mistake that clearly was not mine. I can understand one mistake. But three? ! Count me as someone who will never again buy cards from them.

Clean and friendly atmosphere. My oldest son was able to find the individual cards he wanted and my youngest got a new starter deck. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The gentleman behind the counter even gave my youngest a few packs for free! Definitely a great experience for the kids. We will be going there for all of the kids Yu-Gi-Oh needs.

Great store to shop at singles and sealed. Highly recommend have yet to play here. I am sure its fantastic.

Most of the staff are particularly friendly and approachable and I've come here on 2 occasions selling bulk to them. My third interaction was a bit sour with one of the staff or owner. When I entered the shop, I was greeted by a bald gentleman with a beard. He asked me what I needed and I said I was looking to sell some bulk pokemon. He said he was sick of people like me coming to try and sell bulk, rolled his eyes and acting as if I was inconveniencing him. Was not the attitude that I was expecting and disappointed with the interaction. A gentleman with a snapback was able to help me afterwards and much more friendly, it was nice to see there were still some nice people working there.

Please was full of people from a Pokemon tournament. They were willing to see me last minute for a deal as they buy cards too! Got a lot of cash for what I had and arguably the best return for your cards than anywhere in a 300 mile radius (65% return) tons of selection to choose from and anything you want if it's cards they have it with the exception of select cards that go for thousands to tens of thousands and even then they have the best chance of having it. They're also fast and honest. Very good service and overall the best experience I've had at a gaming store.

I made 2 order in MAY for more than 500$
1 arrived recently (Packaging & protections for the cards are great) & I am still waiting for the second one.
I had to pay 200€ more for the customs fees (I paid half for the first order already) and 0 commercial gesture from Atlas collectables. I send a lot of email already and it doesn't change anything. I'm really disappointed.

Brandon Ulian is a friendly, customer - first store owner! He has so much knowledge about trading cards and the market of trading cards. If you're looking to buy, trade, or sell cards, Atlas collectibles is the place to go!

I usually don't give 5 star reviews but these guys really deserve it! I had some cards a friend gave me to sell to get a bit of cash and I knew absolutely nothing about them. I was a bit nervous going into Atlas Collectibles with not knowing anything about cards or what to expect but rest assured after going in and explaining that to them they were understanding, didn't judge me actually explained things to me and walked me through the process. They were super nice, friendly, down to earth people. I'd recommend this place to any of my friends or family.

Awesome store, not friendly staff. They just tell you to go online and look for cards. Went in with 500$ to buy cards and was basically sent home and told pay shipping.

Always a great experience. Workers are always helpful and very polite towards us especially my kids.

The best TCG store I've been to. They have a great selection for Yugioh, Pokemon, Magic, and even obscure card games you can't find anywhere else! The space is great for families and kids, and the staff are friendly & always willing to help.

Lots of selection and product. I suggest in-person shopping for this business, as they are not good at maintaining online communication in a timely manner.

I picked up a poke ball and tin pack from Costco that I had not seen before a few days ago. Today when I visited their website and noticed the same tin, the tin that I paid $24.99 for at Costco on their website for $39.99 (with incredibly random stock numbers, not a uniform order number from a distributor). I would be interested in seeing if Costco has any left now. I’ve also seen Jirachi boxes (a Walmart exclusive product) on their shelves while in the store before lockdown. Be careful what you buy here, they are glorified scalpers on some of their products, and I believe that they might be buying from consumer stores and marking it up because that’s what is profitable these days.

Terrible experience through EBAY like so many others. They lie about shipping cards unless you pay extra for tracking. Otherwise, they take your money and blame the buyer.

I buy pretty regularly on EBAY and haven't encountered this level of a terrible seller in years.

My son orders Yu-Gi-Oh cards from this store, even during the pandemic via curbside pickup. Great variety. I bought a D&D cookbook here and I love it.

On multiple occasions (be it with myself or my partner) employees have been rude, condescending and/or dismissive. I understand working in retail can equal bad days but this has been a reoccurring issue.

Edit: I want to be transparent and say that I have changed this review from 1 star to 4 stars (Jan 1,2021). The owner did apologize for the way our interactions played out. I appreciate them being honest and acknowledging the situation, having worked in retail for a number of years myself, I completely understand where they were/are coming from. I hope that if I am to interact with them again that it will be a more pleasant customer service experience - as many people have said in other reviews.

Online service is aweful. Ordered twice and there was many errors with the stocks being unavailable after purchase.fine, I can understand that. But when it comes to do a refund or do a follow up about the situation, it takes forever. I've send multiple emails to get a response. Sorry, won't buy again.

My go to store whenever I need to pick up any MTG product. Staff is super friendly, knowledgeable, and they always have the best price for products on the market. Singles come sleeved, and with top-loaders, and are always in excellent condition, and are priced with the most up to date prices according to the market.

Very friendly staff and they reward returning/loyal customers. Went to get sealed product for a promotion and the manager gave me extra OTS packs along with the ones I purchased. Highly recommend them!

Atlas Collectables is my go to TCG and collectable store. Out of all the local game stores, Atlas is the one with the most consistently friendly and helpful staff, complete stock and competitive pricing. I cant recommend this store enough for anyone in the KW area looking for a spot to play and purchase when it comes to any and all collectable hobbies. Easy 5 stars.

The manager Brandon has the best beard out of all of the card store employees in Waterloo.

I wish I discovered these guys sooner. They have a great selection, good seating and every staff member I have met has been kind, friendly and helpful.

Their pricing is better than any hobby store in KW region as an extra bonus. In addition all of their inventory is listed online which helps with deck building.

A few extra perks
- there seems to be a kid friendly area for while you're gaming,
- They have a wide selection of sealed products and merch for your decks
- they will order stuff for you, I was struggling to get a limited edition Item and they made it look easy.
- They really go above and beyond to make it feel so welcoming to all levels of players.

The staff is very friendly and the playarea is definitely the largest and tidiest around. Very kid and beginner friendly. Check out their Facebook page for their weekly event schedule, which is updated frequently.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff make this an excellent place. You're among good company here, from beginner to expert in your game, very welcoming people, and warm conversation.
