No thanks, I'd rather go swimming in my tub. Simply to many rules. I get it you want kids and adults to be safe, but you can't be too overbaring or controlling either. There's a balance. The fewer rules, the better. What people need to practice more of is common sense. Sure, kids may get banged up once in a while, but hey, that's how they learn and grow. And as long as they aren't doing something very dangerous, they should be left alone.
To list a few examples, as a 22 year old male, i was told I couldn't hold my breath under water for who knows what reason. Kids under the age of 16 can't go in the hot tub, even with their parents, again who knows why. You can't lean against pool noodles because they say it can pop out and somehow make you drown. Now, that really doesn't make sense. Parents have to be '5 away from only two kids at a time at all times (understandable if they are very young, but why do they have lifeguards again?).
People will always find something to be unhappy about in todays world and therefore want more rules put in place. We simply have it too well. How about we put that energy towards more productive things. Remove all the stupid unnecessary rules, maybe buy some more toys kids could play with, such as floating rafts and paddles, let kids be kids, and I'll give this place 5 stars. Till then, I'll stick to my tub!

Clean arena. Very congested by the concession stand as they placed it by the dressing rooms and the only way to get to the other ice pads.

Great arena. Nice track and viewing area. Staff working hard to keep the place running. Lots of parking and easy to locate. Very impressed.

The facility is great but is dirty. Tables are always covered in days old food, windows are caked with finger prints that are never cleaned. Floors are washed without being swept first. I’ve had to ask the concession stand for a wash clothe with soap, to wipe down a table to sit and eat at because it was so dirty. I was here 2 weekends in a row and it was the same mess just never cleaned. Last but not least the concession stand. It would be my guess it has new owners. They’ve increased the prices and the quality it not the same. Bring back the old fries for starters!
Tons of potential here, just need someone to take the reins and pay attention to the small things. Yes it seems petty, but for someone that spends most weekends at this place, these things go a long way.

Good, Library was nice books just wish that the card to check your books didn't get expired so soon, it literally is just a card to check out your books. The splash pad is cool though but there needs to be more water equipment. Haven't tried out anything else.

Atlas tube is a great spot for kids to hang out at because there are workers everywhere and there is a library with a giant Chess board, a giant connect 4 and they can also just sit and chat. There is a splash pad outside but when I went it wasn't open but from the looks of it it would be good for kids. The skating is very cheap and if you get there early you get like an hour in a big ice arena with like five people instead of fifty. You can also watch games in the other skating arena. There is a concession stand and the food and drinks are fairly priced. I have not gone to the pools yet but I will next time so I'll update.

Went last week for open swim with my infant. Everything was great. I inquired about bringing an infant floater at that session and was told yes. Called again for confirm and was told yes. When I got there today, front desk said I could absolutely bring the floater in. Life guards instantly stopped me and said I couldn’t. I explained I was told yes and they said I either get a refund and leave or swim without. I swam without and within ten minutes was reprimanded for sitting my son on the ledge while HOLDING HIM, for all of 30 seconds as he enjoyed splashing his feet. They told me I was being “unsafe”. The lifeguards yelled at every parent and child the whole time for playing in the water safely, as children do (going underwater, swimming around like mermaids). These rude sixteen year olds should find another job.

I attempted to enroll my granddaughters in dancing classes on the morning enrollment opened. I was 3rd in line at the facility and told. EVERY SINGLE CLASS was full. How is that possible? Do you need to know someone to get in? The young lady behind the desk had no explanation. There were so many angry people there, and apparently people calling were put out as well because the facility shut their phones off.
Today I brought kids to swim and was told that you need a reservation. There were 9 people in the entire pool. 4 lifeguards. But they were turning family after family away this is their idea of HOLIDAY HOURS.

The skate shop opens when it's convenient to them. Go entire weekends in middle of the hockey season without opening. Get rid of Source for Sports, they are as incompetent at running a skate shop as they are running the brutal sports shop. People will get skates sharpened elsewhere if they can't rely on you to be open!

The pool is nice and clean but too many rules. Every 5 minutes a lifeguard will come and say 'you can't do that'. Basically kids can have no fun because they are always watching over their shoulder to see if a lifeguard is coming. You can't be more then 5 feet away from your kid that IS wearing a life jacket and is in the same pool as you, AS your watching them. I understand that you can't just come to the pool and have the lifeguards babysit your kids but to the point where you have to be a arms length from them at all times and not let them have fun is too much (these are all kids over 6 years and with pool experience). No thanks, I rather go swimming in my tub.

You cannot find the pool hours or any information on the Lakeshore website.
The Atlas tube Center does not have its own website and I find it very difficult to find out what activities are actually there, the building is often empty when we go there and i would guess that is is ment for hockey more than anything else because that is the only time the concession stand is open and there are no other options for food or drinks besides the broken vending machines.

All that said the Atlas tube center is a fantastic building and I am very happy to have it in Belle River, I just wish they could figure out how to utilize it better.

This is a 5 star place that is just poorly managed.
