2021: So. This is new and a rip off, gauging buyers, don't see myself coming back to auctions (even max deals are ridiculous now) : "Our auction events charge a 20% Buyer’s Premium. " Edit: tried to login to see if they lowered the 20% rip of to 5-10% like other sites, they did not.

And, if you leave a bad review, they ban you (always paid on time and picked up on time in the past)

Easy to get in and out. Quick line ups with the ability to check your auction won items before hand at assigned inspection tables. Great variety of items available for auction also.

This is one of the worst and most un ethical companies out there, they sell alot of defective used products. When you bring up issues not disclosed in the auctions they either will ban you or give you a hard to to return the item.

I have spent tens of thousands at this place and the first time I had an issue they said you are no longer welcome here.

I can not belive the poor customer service. I am happy to no longer shop here.

Hassle free and got to inspect my product before I received it. I do think 20% fee on top of 13% HST is a little over. Many places I've dealt with is either 5 or 10%. Just know this before you bid.

The customer service people at the front are extremely rude, extremely entitled and unfair in their dealings. Wouldn’t touch this place with a 10 foot pole if I were you.

This company is a complete scam bids on items are going for more than retail than they charge you a extra 33 percent on top of the final bid if you don’t pick up a item they try charging you a 226 dollar restocking fee when the item never left the building these guys are a complete joke stay away

I am very disappointed! Last night I won a water rower and this morning they emailed me to say they listed the item with the wrong name and will be re-listing it next week. I should be given to continue with the purchase and if I decline, then re-list it. At the end of the day if it’s a rowing machine then that’s what I’ve purchased. The product was not listed as a Wave Runner so I don’t understand the email. Let’s hope that this get fixed asap!

Worst place to buy, I've been scammed by this people. After winning auction online I couldn't get there in time to pick up. For my surprise they don't take phone calls. They block me and asking money to reactivate my account. Another place to avoid.don't buy anything from them.either comes broken or missing parts.

Don't waste you're time. The owner Jason has a "God" complex and blocks peoples accounts if they dare ask a question he doesnt like. Plus he demands a $500 CC authorization just to create an account to look. Auctions are 100% bots that are up bidding everything with most "dealer" being run up like crazy. Sad

Spent thousands of dollars here. Got home and looked at an item, it was missing parts they said too bad you left. The following week I checked everything in detail. I found 2 items defective and broken. Got a refund.then account suspended and banned. They are fine until you challenge their own policies good riddence. Deplorable customer service. Should be ashamed of your actions.

Came at 6: 01, and they literally shut the door in my face and walked away. Drove an hour for the pickup while having a headache/concussion, and they said to send someone else tomorrow.

How incredibly rude to shut the door in a customer's face because they are a minute past your closing. No other options or considerations given.

Edit: while I understand I should have been there earlier, they did let another customer in 20 seconds before me. Rather than contacting me to resolve this issue, auction maxx has now banned me from any pick ups. This was done an hour after this review was posted. Shows how they handle any feedback or disputes.

At a pick up a few months ago, one of their other customers had a large marble purchase fall on her due to a strong gust of wind. I helped the staff on hand with first aid as they seemed frazzeled, and were unsure of what to do. They had no problem serving me 20-30 minutes after they closed on that day after I helped them resolve the crisis on site.

Was a long time customer before covid destroyed this business. Unfortunately they don't have the products inside the store anymore. I also gave up on biding because there is no way that most cheap products get outbid too inflate the cost by bots. Bring back the front store and were back in business. If not there are plenty of other discount stores in Toronto which have similar products at affordable prices.

I complained and they replied by blocking my account. Horrible. They auction off salvage pallets and don't state they are salvage. Paid over $700 and ALL items are in broken non-working condition.

The worst place to buy. Do not recommend it. If you are considering, I suggest buying somewhere else if you don't want a headache.

They are selling items claiming them as "new" but aren't and will not respond to help resolve issues. Be careful what you purchase from them.

BE EXTREMELY CARFUL, the solid stainless steel tables they use for viewing products are DANGEROUS. According to the employee who sits in the office the tables are EXTREMELY FLIMSY. Why would Auction Maxx risk public safety with flimsy tables? My three year old was kicking it and she made a point of warning me. Thank you for saving us from your extremely dangerous flimsy tables that are used for commercial use. 1 star for Auction Maxx for using poor quality tables as per their employee.

They make all of their money selling defective merchandise and will block your account if you miss a pick up and they can’t over charge you. Joke is they just re-list the product and often times make more on the new bidder!

The explanations they offer for the products are not to be trusted. Although the air fryer we received had a large dent, it was described as having none.

I'm as honest as they get and can tell you that our family/friends haven't been happier since finding Auctionmaxx, now Maxx.
Our home looks straight out of a magazine and our kids always sport the latest brands & electronics ALL THANKS TO MAXX. The savings are unbeatable.
Their staff are hard-working and kind and deserve to be treated with respect.
The retail prices listed are 100% accurate with total transparency on every listing. I've made over 1k purchases and not one issue!
Sure there's a buyers fee however, THE TOTAL SAVINGS ALWAYS OUTWEIGH IT HENCE RESULTING IN A WIN WIN FOR YOU!

I've been a weekly customer of theirs for the past 5+ years and as such have grown to know Management and most of their employees quite well.

Please believe me when I say that regardless of any new policy changes and/or audacious remarks left on Google, you still WILL NOT find another liquidation centre BETTER at selection and price than Maxx and it saddens me to see their customers choose to slander the company rather than be appreciative of all the money they were able to save in finding this Toronto gem.

So here's my advice to anyone about to leave a negative review or believe in the recent inaccurate ones; keep it moving. I'll keep appreciating all the good I've found in this company whilst the naysayers remain negative and pay full price elsewhere.

The absolute best place to shop in Toronto. Professionally ran, quick and efficient service from the back of the warehouse to the front staff to the incredible owners. I've gone every week for over two years now and my family and I are treated so well. You can't beat their pricing anywhere believe me! Keep up the amazing work guys!

A solid 3 star experience. I've purchased a good number of things from here before. The auctions you really need to do your research before bidding.some ppl don't realize that there's a 20% additional fee on top of the bid price. In certain situations that almost beats out the retail price of the item.

Their hours have been gradually reducing and it truly sucks. What kind of place is only open Wednesday to Friday 8: 30am to 5: 30pm and closed all other days? What about the ppl who need to work?

EDIT: Their hours have shifted again! It's now 10-6PM Wednesday to Friday, no Saturday pickups

Bought a bunch of items that were showing as “new” but none of them work. Tried to reach out to company but they were not willing to work with me or get back to me at all. Will never recommend Maxx Liquidation to anyone. Would love to have them reach out to me and figure this out.

They banned my account when I would not over pay on a item and made a mistake on another. I told them I think they are using ghost bidders. Really not that great of deals. People over bid on things.

In wake of Ukrainian war i organized humanitarian help for Ukraine. I saw Children’s Tylenol at Auction max, there were 16 bottles available and I decided to buy all as it is one of the items required. I bought it early March. I paid delivery fee. It arrived on March 11. When I checked the product it was expired as of February 28. Truly frustrated I emailed and complained. In their response they did apologize and refunded the amount payed, however they decided to cancel my account and forbid me to show up on their property on Bartor Rd.
Truly just for profit with all their Christian blurb on website they do not come across as such. It felt almost it is my fault they sell expired items especially CHILDREN’ Tylenol!

I have made a few purchases without issues in the past. However, seeing now they charge a 20% premium to the winning auction, as well as specific bid price tiers no longer makes it worth buying anything. Won't be returning.

EDIT: Not only were they used, it turns out they are counterfeit Airpods as well. Owners do not care!

Purchased what were advertised as brand new factory sealed Apple Airpods Pro. They were shipped to me and looked to be sealed. After opening and setting up it was clear they had been used and resealed. They even had someone else's name on them. Someone is using their business to commit fraudulent activities. I politely brought this to their attention and explained the situation. Not only did they not care and refuse to help, they deleted my account as a response. Very childish way to run a business. I would avoid. Finding unadvertised issues is extremely common.

You get really good deals, but you have to do your homework. Check everything - they have too much stuff moving for them to be perfect. And to everyone who complains about their customer service - treat them with respect, they will do the same! You know the rules - follow them and don't be surprised when they say they can't do something because you didn't! I bought something, there was an issue, I POLITELY asked for assistance - and guess what? They politely agreed.
So if you want Costco return policy, go to Costco. If you want really good prices (with a little risk) this is the place to go.

They sell garbage. I bought some items and found it’s not work after two days.
Be careful, they sell garbage and when you want to return it they show their real face and don’t accept with crazy reason. I try to return some of their garbage but after lots of discussion they don’t accept.

I am a long time customer were doing business everyweek but since the summer holidays everything changed. I was really interested for thier return but now will not buy anything when u purchase u have to pay 13% tax and extra %20 for an open box or scratched items where you can buy same stuff cheaper if u search online

Unusual way of doing auction business! Used to get good stuff at discounted price before long time ago but everything changed now.

- 20% buyer premium for nothing.
- no royalty/bonus for long time customers.
- website design sucks, looks like a decade old.
- Signing up for new account puts $200 authorization hold for 7-10 business days just for security, what! One of my friend just signed up it so writing on behalf. Although its temporary, but this is again unusual practice I have seen.

Price link listed are sometime over priced. You need do your research on the item/price etc.with 20%, you are bidding on open box item at a retail price.please note that many time retail price at stores offer better discount especially during holidays sales.bye bye

Good variety of products, good prices and overall good buyer experience as long as nothing goes wrong. Once you get into an issue they will show their true colors and they are not pretty. The solution has to benefit their company and the customer needs matter less. Keep your fingers crossed that all goes fine if you do business with them. Good luck

Used to be much better but now they are adding a 20% "buyers premium" to items which is pretty sketchy in my opinion. Be careful when you are bidding that you are aware of these new sneaky fees.

The new 20% auction fee is just freaking crazy! Add the 13% tax on top of that! You have to research the items yourself cause most of the time the reference link will be overpriced.
Saying that I have found good deals over the years. I would stay away from the grocery products and perfumes.

Auction is good but service is the worst i ever seen in my life, if you won the auction but you didn't pick the item by 3 days you have to pay fees (15-20%) nobody care if you were sick, 20% fee realize if won item for 3000$ how much the gonna charge you? Even if something really happened in your life (imagine Bestbuy or another store use the same policy people would judge them in the court, and manager is rudest person in the world

Without notice this establishment cancelled my account without providing a reason, despite the fact I've been a frequent and issue free customer.

Used to be good, but the company has gone downhill as of late. The addition of a 20% buying premium is a scam, and the fact that you only have 3 days to pick up your winning items is total garbage. When purchasing a large item, they dont give you the option to get it shipped and need to plan ahead to get a vehicle.

Like everyone else has stated this used to be a great place to get deals but now that there is a 20 percent fee added on top, it makes the deals nonexistent. I used to be a customer since they opened on Dixie road but I will probably no longer be a customer. It was good while it lasted.

Folks, complaining about the policies - you need to understand the auctions. This is how they work. Sometimes they overvalue an item, it’s not intentional, it’s just what it is. If you think otherwise - walk around your house and try putting a price in every single item you see. I never go with “estimate”, I always do my own research. The 20% buyer premium is industry standard, just keep that in mind when you bid.
INSPECT, INSPECT and then INSPECT again. Do it AT PICKUP, before you sign for the item. They process thousands of items at each auction, never assume descriptions to be 100% accurate. Use the description to your advantage - if the item you are picking up is not 100% matching it - talk to them right then and there.
It’s an AUCTION, you pay way less for stuff here because it comes as is, with faults and risks - just be cognizant of this fact. And above all - have fun, even if you think you didn’t quite get the deal you were hoping for - it’s still a deal. Happy hunting!

Beware, they updated their site and now charges 20% buyer's premium. Discourages buyers like me to purchase more from them.

This place sold me a faucet that they failed to advertise the details on. When I went to return the faucet because my plumber said it doesn't fit north American plumbing, it took 4 representatives and and an hour to determine that they wouldn't refund me. Don't do business with this shady establishment.

Website offers a huge collection of items and deal but the buyers are fool because they keep bidding items until time is over- regardless of final cost of product even if it pass beyond the market price.

You can find good stuff here but be ready to get defective items especially electronics.
The return policy is ridicules. It is declared that there is one week for the return. In reality you have only 3! Days.
Check all your purchases carefully right on site.

Be Aware before burchasing anything online, I do not recommend, description is not as it seems when bidding, visually inspect before making any offer or buying anything in person.

You default for the first time since 2years of shopping regularly and you send an email with a genuine reason.
A ridiculous charge must be paid to unblock your account!

This place has the worst customer service. They failed advertising and dishonest. I bought a mattress as new but when I opened there were yellow spotted everywhere on it. I try to Contact them and they requested pictures. I sent them pictures then they said they were unable to take it back while they have 1 week exchange policy. Yes you made $400 out of me but that was your last business from me people. Be honest with your customer, if there were 100 unhappy customers like me and you ignored to fix your problem, you soon will close your doors. Good luck!

Beware fake reviews! Horrible customer service, I called with an issue with an item I bought not being as described to try to resolve it they told me if you don't like it shop somewhere else and just deleted my account! Great customer service tactics!

Worst customer service when having an issue. Got my membership cancelled without them telling me. Found out later after many attempts to go on the site and couldn’t I I wrote to them and got a response email by Michelle saying my account was cancelled. Gee thanks! All the cashiers are cool but the manager Michelle is the worst. Before you become a manager learn how to deal with customers

They purpostly mislead you in there descriptions, they choose there words very carefully so that they can defend themselves once you realize you been had
And i can tell you this, customer satisfaction does not come first with them
They sell iphones with suppositly software issues but once you receive them you will find out they are icloud locked result of beeing stolen or lost but they wont tell you this even though they know very well the items are a usefull as paper weights

Worst site ever.

This is a terrible company, falsely advertises items as "new". I bought a gaming computer that was advertised as "new" only to find out that it had been partially gutted when I opened it (was missing the video card, ram and 1 if the hard drives). They refused to do anything about it and even accused me of being the one that "tampered" with it. It was my "mistake" for not opening it right away as they return policy is complete garbage 14 days. That shouldn't apply when the item in question has been tampered with. If I had the option of giving them 0 stars that would be more reflective of their service, or should I say lack thereof. Do yourself a favor and stay away from these idiots and save your $$ for a reputable company.

Terible experience, ben buying from them for a quite a long time until bought a defective laptop. Was able to get a refund only a month later and had to involve a PayPal dispute department in order to resolve it. AuctionMaxx did whatever they could to not process the refund. Great idea and very poore implementation.

By far the worst customer service I have ever countered. Website is very unclear. I win 4 auctions and next thing you know I am suspended for no reason. No email nothing for a week. I send plenty of emails and finally get my account back, but guess what, 3 of my items are back in the auction with no word on why there back up. Then I sent them an email asking why. There response was that the shipping was declined. Instead of letting me know they just put it back on the website like nothing happened. Also got charged with restocking fees and twice the shipping even tho I ended up with one item. Stay away from this garbage!

Everything is damaged to some severity or parts missing. The description of my purchase was the wrong color. When I asked about the box size, I was told 1 box and given the dimensions. Upon arrival, the staff in the back brought out 2 skids of boxes!

Unless I was going to pay restocking fees of 10% I had to take apart the boxes in the parking lot, and stuff it in my new car. The manager Vic, did not care to even come outside to see the situation their company had put me in, or to offer any help! After speaking with the "owner" Melissa only via a single email, she has denied any responsibility and stopped all communication at that. The respect is not reciprocated and NO 10% back to me for the inconvenience.

Please be warned, don't expect anything beyond what you walk out with. There is no customer support or refunds. Consider everything as a final sale. Kind of feel like they dumped their problem on you.

Great items, of course, but I was most impressed with the staff. I was helped by an employee named Shadeem. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and very efficient!

Just started here and you can tell this company has very low quality business practices. They clearly know the retail price is $600 from Keef, yet they attach a link reference to amazon stating its $1200 and put it for a price of $445 on their site. Now don't get me wrong its still cheaper than Keef selling it but its the principle that they try to deceive you based on discount. Half their reviews would be avoided if they ran their business honestly.

This place is great! Love finding the gems (designer brands) among the garbage (Walmart brands, etc) on the racks. And the auctions are a great deal, probably unnecessary purchases, but steals none-the-less! The downsides are you should always scan all pictures on auctions since not all defects are well stated, as well as searching for defects on in-store items. Also depending on the day/time the wait can be brutal. Most of the staff is quite friendly - a special nod to Shadeem, who’s a fast, competent worker, and always bearing a contagious smile. ;) Overall, a recommended source of goods.

Important situation, read it:
I registered my card to buy a product from here.and exactly two days later my credit card was hacked.they booked over thousand, starts from Canada stays, skip the dishes, other food stuff.
I am really not exaggerating, I do not use my card for online booking except Amazon, and it never happen.think twice before you give your data or go there and buy it cash or debit.

I would always inspect the items before you buy however if you know what you're buying prices are pretty reasonable so far with the things I've tried obtaining from them.

Seriously shady business with respect to the bidding. They clearly have bots out bidding each other to artificially inflate the price. I unfortunately already bought something here, and we'll see how that turns out. I'll refrain from shopping here in the future.

Return policy is based on how they feel and not what's outlined. They are trapping and cheating customers in online auction. Item description is different from product. They dont describe the whole truth and so you are stuck with the product since their return policy sucks.

They are very rude and con artists. They're honest in their auction description and use words like "may". Also they don't pictures of all defects and hide behind their noreturn policy, making the buyer assume that the goods are worth more for maximum profit. Don't waste your time, money and don't buy yourself a headache.
