Aunty Ems Deli & Coffee

Absolutely amazing deli products and pastries! Em is so very sweet, too. There is no seating but plenty of spots on/near the street to sit down in warmer months. Careful-it's easy to buy everything you see. LOL. A great problem! We can't wait to come back!

Incredibly accommodating! I had orderes a charcuterie board but forgot to ask if the cheeses had nuts. I was told they did, but they made one with other cheeses they had on hand and replaced the rest with sausage rolls and cookies! Food is wonderful as always, could never expect less from sausage party:)

I love coming to Aunty Ems Deli. I have tried some of their sandwiches, cakes, rum ball (yum!), and lattees. Every time I go there I am warmly greeted by the staff who are kind and helpful, and I have always loved how tasty all their treats are. You have to try this place out for yourself! Plus it's awesome to support a vegan small business! <3

I love Aunty Em's. The staff are all lovely, the food is great, prices are solid, and conveniently close to my apartment.

If I could eat the Cubano sandwich every day, I'd eat it twice a day. So, if you need a suggestion, get that.

Otherwise, the coffee is great and you probably need a coffee. So have one.

I can’t believe it took me so long to get here! Seriously one of my favourite places now and I can’t wait to go back and try more things. Went today to get some bacon, and they had a Holiday Pop Up inspired menu, so naturally I had to get the pretzel (cheese) and try one of the Bratwurst (with caramelized onions, sauerkraut and German potato salad). It was all delicious and I honestly wish I had gotten 2 pretzels because that’s all I’ve thought about today.

Tried too many things and they were all soooooo good! Place is cute but small, no seating which kinda sucks but the food was just so good. Cashier was also super nice and helpful!

Delicious sandwiches, great service, and cool retro decor. They sell vegan meats, cheeses, and baked goods too. Buy the Plant Curious coupon book there and get discounts. Looking forward to our next visit!

Cubano and Bagel BLT were amazing. The lettuce, tomatoes and cucumber looked and tasted home grown! Also loaded up on all their deli staples which I can't wait to try!

So grateful to Aunty Ems for bringing a much-needed vegan eatery to the neighbourhood! Love the Nanaimo bar and breakfast sandwich!

Finally had the chance to check out Aunty Em's and it did not disappoint! The reuben and the chocolate chip cookie were fantastic. So delicious. And this is coming from a meat eater!:) Great vibe and friendly staff as well. Highly recommend.

*UPDATE* Stopped by on opening weekend (June 2022) and loved every bite! The kale chickpea salad is so good, with that dressing like a secret sauce. The Reuben wraps are super satisfying, and the tiramisu is HANDS-DOWN the best! I ate the whole thing, and it was worth it - so light, not sweet and has a great coffee kick.

Attended the soft open (pop-up) in March, and cannot wait for the official launch! We bought breakfast sandwiches and some baked goods… EVERYTHING was soooo good!

This place is such an amazing addition to the neighbourhood. Everything they make is exceptional, and unlike anything you can get elsewhere in the city. My whole family eagerly counts down until the open at the end of the week. We love them!

It was a long wait for opening after the first couple of popups, but the wait was worth it. The service is great, and every bite is a flipping treat. Take your pick of the kale salad, the Reuben wrap, the breakfast sando, the Big Mac (on Saturdays), the cookies, the muffins, the cake.they're all winners! Grab a coffee or some Sausage Party bacon while you're there, you know you want to. Marvelous. Just marvelous. Straight to the pool room.
