The school is my opinion is expensive compared to what you are getting compared to other school. There is 1 teacher teaching about 20ish students but what made it difficult was the class had different intakes so the class was divided and usually takes some time to transition, around 1-2 month in my case. You will be given set of tools that you will pay for but the class has many better tools and that you can use during shop class. The teacher Derrick was fantastic and super down to earth, very helpful and accommodating. He is 3rd generation mechanic and got his experience mostly being lead mechanic at Mercedes and bmw! He even offers to use his own connection to help you find apprenticeship or use as reference! If you want an intro into automotive then this may be right for you but otherwise I just recommend going straight to centinel college because you still have to go there after done this program to get your license. It also nice that this place offers payment plan, essentially pay as you go which I am grateful for. Overall I will give this place 7/10.
Update: apparently I was told they just recently revamped the shop with newer and better equipment and tools. I

Service Operations Specialist. I was able to successfully secure a Parts Advisor role within the work practicum timelines. The work practicum program was received well, by potential employers, as they see the value of the Specialized training course, and the Quality of candidates from ATC. The school's enrollment program was simple, and was easily co-ordinated with the WSIB, for those seeking alternative career paths for back to work transitions.

Great school honestly I’ve learn so much from my professors Derick, the in shop experience is amazing! The group of guys all working together + having a great professors who has alot of experience is a + and from my school experience I was able to get a job in a dealership as a license apprentice so it’s been a great experience 100% andddddd I get to work on my own car in school so no more sending my car to dealer or small shop to fix anything I can fix it myself right in class that’s a huge + on my pocket too

My experience had been amazing, this school teaches you all the basic tools, safety protocol calls and knowledge needed for this course. To those certain people that wanted to get into this trade, it’s worth it specially if you need to all of that to get into the industry. All the Teachers are Amazing and we appreciate everything they have done for us. P. S I knew nothing about cars since when I first started.

I know nothing about car before joining the mechanic course. Now I am confident to work on cars and I am having a good time. Also able to make friends here with the people whose love working on cars. Thanks to my instructor Dave and Alessandro.

Don (the Campus Director) has assembled a top notch team of instructors, which is the most important thing in any school. They come from a variety of backgrounds in the industry and share real world experience with the students which is invaluable. Whether you are seeking a job in the automotive field (which includes more than just becoming a mechanic but includes dealer ad head office administration work, insurance and body work), or just looking to improve your DIY knowledge and skills, ATC is an awesome choice! Most students who put in the effort will have no problem graduating and then quickly finding work in the automotive sector. Recommended for sure.

The publications used during the course have given me a basic grounding to the automotive service industry.

Marc has expanded this information to real time up to date knowledge.

He is a man of many talents, much extended profound automotive experience and has shown he has a deep professional knowledge. Marc has helped me reach a greater understanding of all the pitfalls of servicing the customer and how to become an asset to any automotive dealer and retailer in the automotive industry.

Marc has taught me the value of empathy and patience with customers providing excellent customer service and the value of selling mobility solutions can be a great reward. Being a team player has never been more important within a dealership, repair or body shop environment.

I have very much enjoyed appreciated being a student in Marc’s class and what I have learned will never be lost. Marc is a real asset and added value to ATC.

Many thanks for your efforts and input Marc.

School is a scam. Ontario college of trades doesnt even recognize as an educational institute. Do not waste your money.

Went here to check out the school via appointment about 2 ish years ago. Looking around the place, as i was being shown around, you could just tell the place was a little on the small and cheap side for the course to cost $15,000. The appearance and money you'd pay to stay there didn't add up to me. To add, given the fact it literally looked like my old Highschool. I had to walk away for this one. Just seemed to sketchy. If you look at some of the reviews on here about what they "promise you" its exactly what they told me when I came in to see how the place was. They seem to upsell you B. S to make you think its a great school. Personally, Im going to go to the Centennial Astonbee Campus (more reputable) That doesn't try to upsell you on their school. Just speaking from my experience on my first time checking out/meeting the people who teach/work there. I would not advise this school as my top pick for leaning automotive.

Amazing place! I went here and had an amazing experience. The 9 months flew by way to fast, I acquired a ton of information about automotive mechanics and the automotive industry in general. Highly recommended if you are interested in a career in the automotive Industry, this is the place to start!

Back in 2003 when they still had a Automotive Collision course i took it. My teacher was an abusive pr#$k. I had to go into their computer lab for a week because of the placement wasnt ready for me. He was teaching a class and he checked on me. The automotive students and teacher were in the same room. I was done the assignments he gave me which were ols assignments from the beginning of the couse and he was too lazy to give me more. Out of the blue he just hit he me in the head, I wish i could rember his name because i would love to go toe to to with him. I couldn't back then because of an work place injury and he knew I would get into trouble.

At the registration time i was told that 2hours theory in class the 2hours application in the shop,
This is not true, i was expecting to get some experience from school then get a jot, in vain. We mentioned this to admin staff and it was always neglected.

For the time of Covid-19 I requested from Principal of the school to open the door for me and I take my chrome book, he refused.
Then i went to Ottawa empty handed and bought another laptop to follow up online classes,
So spent extra money for no reason.

I’m done with this school one year ago, but for my opinion don’t start this school for any reason, it’s a lot of money for nothing. This diploma is for nothing. And can learn nothing about mechanic stuff.

Save your time and money and go elsewhere. 0 out of 5 stars should not be considered a school at all, not a place to learn just a place to get ripped off.

I have just started my third week of Co-op and have come to find that all that I was taught in class was very true to the real world. The 3 part course consisted of Parts, a must needed attribute for working in a fast moving auto body shop. Understanding part numbers, inventory, ordering and receiving. Service Consultant, being in the front office most of the time I meet and help walk ins with needs in regards to insurance claims. Auto Collision Estimating is the most challenging and rewarding. Mitchell, Audatex and the real life training I received was spot on true to life. Thanks to my “ Back in Time” instructor Marc. His firm, if you excel, gives reward, style of teaching was a real treat for me. I wasn’t sure what to expect from going back to school so late in life. Marc helped me fit in, in no time. His many years of experience that he passes on in the class I find to be the most valuable. Those real life scenarios that Marc made so colourful in his narrations have appeared at my Co-op daily. Marc helped me to write my own book, with all the stuff the course book doesn’t teach. Thank you Marc for giving me a well stocked tool box.

My son got ripped off at this school! It is a waste of time. You will learn nothing. All you will do is electude modules for 14,000. You can pay them directly for way cheaper or just go to a library because that is all you are doing inside the classroom
16 May 2019 16:33
Excellent School! Amazing place to learn, friendly staff, that will do everything in their power to make your experience attending or visiting a stress free process. Thank you especially to our teacher Marc who gave us the tools we'll need to succeed in our career. He share his experience with us and guide us to do things the right way. Thank you Marc!

I joined ATC for service operations specialists in august still doing my co-op as we speak, Marc is a great instructor he makes the class fun all in all and is a great person in general, i highly recommend this school for anyone looking to be a collision estimator, parts associate or service adviser.
02 February 2019 19:20
Useless, just waste money and time. Before you pay, they made lots of promises to you, such as we will help you to find job, we have connection with many dealerships in GTA, we will refer you, don't worry. However, once you paid, they didn't listen to your phone patiently. And the course doesn't help you to find job as well. I wasted my time and my money.

I joined ATC for a course in Automotive Service Operations where I trained as a Parts specialist, Service Advisor and as a Collision Estimator.
I can recommend to anyone about taking any course or program in this school because of the ability of the instructors and office staff as a whole to help the students achieve their dreams.
I personally give thumbs up to my instructor Marc for the good work he did in our class. He has so much experience in collision repair practices and the way he introduced me into Mitchell Estimating program was great and focused. I can now write a collision estimate using Audatex or Mitchell having finished my Coop successively. Thank you.

Hi Marc,

I like to take a moment to thank you for an amazing experience and great 17 weeks. The course was a amazing and the instructor Marc’s teaching methods were amazing and extremely helpful. Over all the course were amazing and very helpful not just in the automotive Industry but for whatever life brings my way. I’m currently working in a body shop where all these course have proven very useful.

Collision: in a body shop this course has proven extremely useful. It helps me out in that industry being able to write estimates as well as having a very good insight into how body work should be done properly. The book along with the various videos have really helped me excel at my job and become a better over employee for their business.

Parts: this course although not as useful to me in the position I’m in helps me understand how to deal with ordering parts as well as having a better all around view of how the automotive industry works as a whole.

Service advisor: this course was by far the most helpful. It gave me extremely good customer services skills not to just work as a body man but be an all around guy at the shop. I’m now able to write estimates and understand how to deal with customers properly to ensure they have a very good understanding of what is going on with their vehicle.

Overall these courses paired together make for a very well rounded person that anyone in the automotive industry would be happy to hire. I’m grateful for all the experiences and learning experience as a whole. I know that these courses will help me through all of life’s experiences and is always good to have under my belt. Thank you again Marc and the ATC staff for making my experience here one I will never forget!

As an aspiring service technician, I firmly believe that anyone wanting to become fluent in the terms and practices of the trade will get a fantastic start at ATC. The majority of in-class teaching can be easy to grasp within their scheduled length; To accompany each of these teachings; detailed online sessions, related shop activities and experienced instructors share their methods to perform the task at hand. The present staff are all good-natured, good-humored people, who will supply the basic tools, advise and opportunities to succeed.
