Love the food here! I catered from this place for my baby shower and everyone enjoyed it. I've picked up kebabs from here when guests visit and it has always been a hit.
Also the in house bakery has an awesome flat bread thats always very fresh. I definitely recommend this place.

I love this place. It isn’t perfect. I get that but the food is good and affordable, they they are nice people. I just read owner’s answer to some bad reviews and I was awed how polite and understanding he is. If you think this owner is rude, you should all the other private convenience stores.

My husband and I use to go to this store from 7-8 years ago. Their prepared food taste very good and has a large portion: Tahchin, kebabs, baghali polo, zereshk polo…
We also usually buy regular Iranian grocery items like cheese, barbari, lavashak, torshi from Ava Isfahan. The store environment and staff are very kind and friendly. Thank you Mohsen agha and staff!

The quality of the foods are excellent. The owner of Ava Isfahan food market is very caring. All the dishes we ordered were delicious. I highly recommend trying Waziri's kebab.

We had a friendly gathering party of around 30 people and ordered kebab, chicken kebab and Kashke Bademjan fron Ava. I asked him to decorate rice dish with barberry and it was done very nice. The quality was perfect and the quantity was more than I expected. They delivered the whole package at the time I asked them and every thing was fine and our guests enjoyed a lot

Definitely coming back for their other skewers. Basically a hole in the wall tucked at the back of the supermarket, seemingly focused on catering and delivery.

Slight char, moist chicken breast, good flavours, fluffy rice. Unfortunately no garlic or extras like fries or vege but you can buy a tub of garlic yoghurt from the supermarket. Very generous portion vs others. I like it. $20pp

Delicious … I’f your not in the mood for cooking, I highly recommend you visit Ava Food as I have personally have been a customer here for the past 10 years! Nice iranial grocery store. I always buy meat from their next door meat specialized store. Also their fresh cooked food is very good. I regularly order kabab and beryan Asfanan from them when i have guests at home. I recommend to check it out

Good food for a small banquet! If you have a party and don't want to cook then consider ordering from here will make your life easier. Chicken, beef, salad and other option make for a tasty luncheon or dinner.

The food quality is awful, look at the chicken kebab we got today, chicken meats are small balls.

Yummy Persian Food take out. We really enjoy ordering from them. They might forget the salad or run out of them but will always offer a drink instead. We buy this food for others too and everyone loves it. Best to call 15-20min before so you do not have to wait too long as they always make it fresh. We love having you so close by.

Purchase two koobideh kebab meals and was given 1 salad as they ran out. You should inform customers prior to payment that you don't have.

The food portion and the tastes are great. I have tried most of the Persian foods, but Ava has often maintained the quality and I am really interested in ordering here weekly. I am not from Isfahan, but that's why I always want to return to Isfahan

With a very good price, the polite and smiley staff will give too much delicious food on time with a nice design.

The food is awful! We bought kababs and chicken kabab. Chicken was raw and so was the kabab. The rice was not done well. It is a good store although on the expensive side but the food is terrible.

Conveniently located on Sheppard Avenue East. This nice Persian supermarket offers lots of Middle Eastern stuff. The Persian food offered here is a cut above other Persian supermarkets.

Lots of Persian products are available in Ava Esfahan Supermarket; one of the rare places in Toronto that Beryuni is available!

I had a very bad experience here. Today, the girl at catering asked me if I payed for my food or not, she asked this question for 3 times just because she couldn't find the receipt, it was my first time ever in this country to see someone doesn't believe the customer! I won't recommend buying anything from this store to anyone as this is the basic of costumer relationship and it is also out of courtesy.

I had a catering order for my party. The food quality, texture, timing of delivery was perfect.

We just enjoyed a fantastic meal of:
1- Beryouni
2- Soltani chelo kebab
3- Amiri chelo kebab
4- Koobideh chelo kebab
This place prepares the most authentic Persian Cuisine in town!

Amazing priced flavourful and large koobideh kebab. Comes with giant half onion lol and roasted tomato.
Kashke e badanjan was an interesting try but not something i particularly liked. I realized i really dont like kashke lol.
They also have barberries!
The employee at the restaurant side was really nice about answeing all my questions.

I try to go to different Persian stores in province Quebec and Ontario, I liked this store, the prices of some stuff are cheaper than Persian stores in Montreal.

An absolute zero star persian market. Like many others mentioned in their reviews, I found the staff very very rude and aggressive. Considering there are so many other choices of persian stores in the area, why we waste our money shopping from Ava Esfahan market to be offended by them?
Besides their attitude, the staff working in the kitchen don't wear mask while preparing food (I witnessed it myself).
After several times of shopping from this store, I definitely won't go back and I recommend everyone of you not to go there. Let them know that rudness is not tolerated!

The employees are extremely rude but the food is delicious. I likely won't come back here as I've experienced rude staff at every visit, but if you don't care.then you're getting a good quality and quantity of food at a reasonable price.

I only go to this place for Chicken Leg Kebab and Beriooni, and sometimes for Persian breads if I don't want to go out of neighbourhood.

Buying other items from this store is super tricky. Some items are over-priced, not fresh, stale or even expired.

If you don't have any other options to shop from, I'd suggest check the products' expiry date and items' price online upfront.

Nice cozy Persian grocery store. We’ve just tried their Koubideh and Soltani Kebabs and they were delicious.

One star is too much, very poor and rude management and stuff, they don't care about customer safety and healthy, management policies are based on making money and will tell you if you dont like our policy dont come here and buy from us, as everyone knows about covide19 and government policy to wear the mask to protect themselves and other, none of their employees doesn't wear the mask and very rudely refused to wear. Management of this super market is very unprofessional and uneducated person that will see everything is based on money, he doesn't understand that people safety is first priority,

Nasty food and rude services at after noon. I older Kabob after my stomach was a super pains from food. I don't recommend them.

I got chicken with rice from this place, ate it and I was twisting in my bed for 8 hours from stomach pain until i puked it and got okay. I strongly do not recommend.

secondly, Mr mohsen or I suppose the owner of the store; What is the reason that you charge your customers 1 CENT more than the price you put on the labale? Yes 1 cent.you round all prices to upper amount.if it is 2.99 you charge 3.00 if it is 3.99 you charge 4.00. Its not just about the profit you have at the end of the day/moth/year, it is also about my trust when I see your managment.
I politly asked you to cherge the exact amount on the product which YOU your self put on the shelf.you didnt just show attitude at the time you also infomred me the next time i came to your store that you increased your prices 1 CENT and im welcome to not to buy if I dont agree with your knew prices.childish, unacceptable and unprofessional.

Tenderloin as part of their soltani order is stringy and gummy. I ordered through ubber ears because Darband (Don mills and york mills) Persian restaurants doesn't deliver and was unfortunately very disappointed Ava. For the same price you can get tender juicy and flavourful soltani at Darband instead of stringy tasteless pale looking tenderloin from Ava. After spending close to 70 bucks on the order i wish i got into car and drove to Darband instead.

Delicious and generous portion of chicken and rice.you have to try it. Also friendly manager and good prices for the other stuffs.

Poor service and food quality.

My experience honestly was not good in this store.they had attitude and not nice. I was not happy. I tried to go and see if they are better than before but, I saw more headache. I left my item and I was disappointed. I never go to this store. Not happy at all.rude and not good customer service. When I wanted to pay my items also another staff came to me and attacked me with words oh you can not put 1 star you have to put 5 star.how comes owner and staff can allowd talke to customer like this. We love this place. The hot food is the best specially the ghormeh sabzi. Better than all the other Persian stores.

This place is disgusting, I came to buy something and I can't choose one item, He didn't even bothered to ask me if I need a bag to put the item. They unfortunately don't know anything about customer service and I feel bad for them how they run this business with such poor behaviour.

The food always fresh they have best costumer service, I been costumer since 2010 we never had any complain I will recommend to every one!

If you haven’t tried AVA’s you should definitely add it to your list. Freshly made to order grilled skewers of beef veal chicken or fish served with basmati rice, salad or soda. You may also order various kinds of traditional stews also served with basmati rice. Very reasonably priced and excellent quality. Highly recommended. They’re also on Uber eats.

I have tried many amazing Kebabs in many restaurants but I have to say Ava Esfahan Keban's are the best I have had. Yesterday I got a Ferdos. All three kinds of Kebabs were great but the brag was extra special it was melting in your mouth like butter, juicy and delicious. I am the only person in my family who eats meat so when I go to that part of the city I get one ferdos and have some the same time and have the rest for two other meals.even when it is warmed up later it is very juicy and delicious.

I stumbled upon this place 4 years ago and since then, I haven’t skipped my twice-a-week routine visit. I came across the middle eastern foods and desserts. Unbelievable selection of foods, things I never thought I would see again since I was 3-4 years old. The best quality products I’ve seen anywhere. A couple months after my first visit I noticed their goldmine hot table in the back. By far hands down, the absolute best Ghormeh Sabzi and other Persian food I have ever had. Believe me. I know where all the Persian gems in the city are, this gem by far was the most surprising due to how hidden it is.

The owner is one of the most pleasant individuals I have ever met. He is there literally EVERY day. Always working. His staff is amazing, the sweetest people ever. Every time I walk in I can’t help but be smiling when I leave. Maybe it’s because of the amazing food but the staff have something to do with it too:)
All you need to do is come here once and you're hooked, like hooked. My visits are now once every 3 days. I spend an average of $100 a week. Totally worth it.
