Bad experience renting a car recently at this location. Upon picking up, the fuel gauge already showed like 1mm below the full bar. Upon return, I filled up the fuel tank until full till the pump stopped, however the car fuel guage still showed like 1.5mm below the full bar. The counter staff asked me to pay the penalty even though I explained him I filled up full. I felt like it is kind of a scam they might have made the fuel gauge less sensitive or something.

Terrible way to talking to a customer.

I do NOT recommend anyone to rent from this location unless of you want to get verbally abused.

Worst customer experience, rudest person i ever saw in service industry and i dnt know why this store is operating. I can provide details with photographs and proof of what all happend but i want to tell everyone, stay away from this location. And to Avis this location is bringing down your name. You should think about why you are letting this running. But i would prefer to stay away from avis untill you would like to solve this. I would give -ve stars if that can happen.

Recently rented 3 SUVs for my family & friends and the service was super fast and great. Many selections of vehicles and very friendly customer service staffs and they took time to explain all the service options. Definitely a great place to rent.

Worst Customer service experience i ever had in canada in my 4 years here. I was told to not speak and decide with my friend and the guy in front was very rude for no reason we have to cancel our booked car and drop our plan. Thanks to that guy

I will never ever suggest anyone to go and use Avis Services

“MARK” I know you are the regional manager of this location. Vic seevaratnam is not doing very well job in handling the customer service. Your Employees are being racist with the Bell corporate Employees. I booked the rental for $500 for 21 days. And vic was not happy about the price because it was very cheap i guess. He wanted us to pay more. I showed him all the proofs that i am corporate employee and still he refused to give the discount. His other employee said Bell employees are fraud. And at the end he taunted by saying ‘welcome to avis’. Avis maybe a good company but avoid this location at all cost. Or u will loose ur time and money.

“Unlimited kilometres? ” its a scam, there is nothing called unlimited kilometres at this location even though the website says the rental can be driven unlimited. When you walk in to pickup the rental they will say you can only drive 3000km per reservation or 800km daily (800 km only if renting for 1 day) No where on website says you can only drive 3000km per reservation. What if you are booking it for a month, you can only drive 100 km per day. WOW. I went to pickup the car i booked online from website for duration of 21 days. The Manager ‘VIC’ asked me how much I will be driving I told him maybe like 10,000 or 15,000 why does it matter coz online it says unlimited, VIC went laughing and telling other reps that i will drive that much and insulting me saying ‘You aren’t getting the car to drive 10,000km’.

And how other people mentioned about the corporate discount. The people work here dont like the corporate discounts. Only these guys will decide if they want to apply the discount and they have right to say that BELL canada ID’s can be fake. Seriously? Then howcome the budget website let us use the discount code given by our employer? These guys have no common sense. Even the Regional manager ‘MARK’ is included in this worst service.
The confirmation email only says One company ID ‘OR’ paystub to prove. I presented my ID And he said i need to show paystub as well and I have to prove that I am a bell employee as he said ‘BELL ID CAN BE FAKE’.

Literally the worst service ever.

Disappointing experience. Rented a car, returned it full tank, but still got charged for fuel. Dealing with the attendant's hostility took 3 hours, making me miss work and an important meeting. Not sure if I'll be back.

Have been hiring car from avis for past 6 months, their service is top notch and hassle free, strongly recommend this rental!

Extremely disappointed with the service provided to me at this location. A worker couldn’t remember his password and processed my return almost an hour late because of this and I was charged an additional day + late fee. I was not notified about this mistake until I proactively called a few days later since I did not see any charge on my account, at which point I was told “it’s too late” for a refund and that he wasn’t sure if I was “telling the truth”. I understand that mistakes happen but the lack of empathy and accountability is upsetting.

The person at the reception is really rude and disrespectful. Charging high prices for being few minutes late, very poor service. Will not be recommending this to anyone.

Great Service. Verry professional staff and i had booked a car and when i went to pick up, they were over sold, but they made sure i had a car from a nearby location and dropped me there. I would like to name Mr Sen and the store manager for their 5 star customer service. Will be reting more from this location.

Not a good experince during return. Check car thoroughly before pickup even minor scratches (hardly visible) if you ignore then they will charge while returning.

This is my third time renting a car from them. This time my experience has been the worst. The car broke down due to mechanical issue on the second day of renting. To get it sorted, it took more then 36 hours. The rental office does not care to respond to me. I called them multiple times, still no response from the rental office.

Roadside assistance staff tells me to speak to rental office and the rental office tells me to speak to roadside assistance staff. Very unprofessional and unethical.

I would not recommend this company to anyone in the future.

If I could give a negative star review I would. Bad experience with this Avis, the guy Vic was very rude and was practically screaming at me over the phone when I was following up on the return of my hold charges. I also reserved an SUV and when we got there he told us that he didnt have any SUVs available, so we were forced to take a car which we were charged an astronomical amount for. Won't be using this company anymore in the future.

They only care about making money and not having the customer back. It was my second time renting. I came in at 3.30 and he said you are 40 mins later than your original pick up time last week. I requested to let it go but he insisted and still charged close to $30 just for that extra 45 mins which I was unaware about in the first place. Would avoid in future.

DO NOT GO THIS AVIS! They are the worst. It is my worst car rental experience in my entire life. I will never go back to this place again.never. There was some traffic jam in 401. I suppose to return the car at 2: 00pm. So I called them, I said I would be there as soon as possible, but I may be there 2 mins late. They just told me, “No one cares, you can pay for another day. No one will be there even at 2: 01pm. ” They are being so rude to me. And charged me $40 while I did fill up the gas. I am speechless. That’s so unbelievable. I paid 164 per day for a small suv.

WORST CAR RENTALS I HAVE EVER VISITED
The staff is so rude and misbehaving the got to no sense of talking to customer. I have book a car at a certain price and the day when i visited they charged me double saying that there are extra charges simply misleading the customer

I have rented from a couple of different rental places which includes Avis and enterprise. The customer service was always amazing. This location had the worst customer service. Very unprofessional and when asking questions they give rude remarks. They are very persistent to purchase add-ons such as their towing services and insurance even though I clearly told them I do not want any of them.

They do not have an off hour dropbox so you have to come back to drop off the keys and they expect you to have the papers they give you with the car. They only put all season tires on the cars which is absurd since people who rent cars normally do long drives which is bad in the winter. They doubt their customers when bringing back the cars for no reason. There are so many rental places and this place by far was the worst one I went too. Never going back and do not recommend anyone else trying to rent a car. If you live in Scarborough, you're better off paying an extra 10 dollars and taking your business elsewhere.
