Called customer service to reserve a car. Things went swimmingly over the phone, payment was apparently made, deposit was shared with me, etc.
Happily, my kids and I Uber to the Airport to rent said car. When we get there, the deposit was $250 OVER what I was quoted over the phone and the woman who was assisting me, REFUSED to honor what I was told over the phone with customer service.
Unprofessional services. Unreasonable deposit pricing for their star rating, but not one person honoured what was said and that is a problem.
False advertising. Misinformation. Not the consumers problem. If I’m told $500, I will expect to pay $500. End of story.
Not even disappointed, just disgusted.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND RENTING FROM BUDGET/AVIS EVER as they will lie and then refuse you access to your rental.
