Avis Car Rental

Stay away from this location, they defraud you with extra charges, want to charge me 450 dollars for clean up claiming I has a dog there. I rented cars at multiple locations, never seen anything like this. Put a picture of interior, which jbviously does not contain any dog hair, as they claim. Stay away from these fraudsters!

I was first worried after some of these reviews, but had no problems with the rental agency. They didn't have the car I booked (intermediate), so they did a free upgrade to a SUV for me. Process was painless and simple when receiving the car and returning the car.

Horrible customer service! Please do not make the mistake of renting from this location, they will try to screw you last minute just so that they can save $. My family (including two little children) were left scrambling to sort out our vacation plans which was extremely unfortunate thanks to Avis Elgin Mills.

Save yourself the hassle and DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!

Our experience at this car rental place was highly disappointing. The customer service was extremely poor, and the staff's rudeness was evident throughout our interaction. They seemed disinterested in our business and treated us badly. Regrettably, we cannot recommend this place to others based on our unfortunate encounter.

Staff LIED to us about charges. What they tell you the price is IS NOT the price. The customer service rep said additional charges were "local taxes" but actually they were charges to upgrade the vehicle because our reservation wasnt available. Car had low tires, no washer fluid, bad transmission. Worst care rental experience i have had. DO NOT USE AVIS OR BUDGET

The best place to rent cars in town. I'm a regular, the owners are great, great service, great vehicle selection. I highly recommend this place. I've tried many rental places, but this place hands down is the best!

The people working here are crooks. I went to return the car and they charged me for 130$ for half a tank of gas while I was trying to decide how far away the closest station was (it was 3 doors away). Then they said we closed you out we can’t give you back the car. I asked them how far away the station was and they didn’t answer so I was checking my phone. I called Avis and complained and they charged me a reasonable amount for the fuel instead. Complete crooks here

The worst experience of car renting in my lifetime! The operator was rude and they overcharged me. Avoid this company!

Ramesh is rude and dismissive. Worst customer service I have experienced at a car rental. Reserved a standard car and got a compact, not only that, the car I got was super old with 65K mileage on it. The engine light came on halfway through. Avoid this location.

If I could leave 6 or more stars I would. Ramesh and everyone were more than flexible when I thought I might need my rental for another day or more ( (which I did!), They were more than accommodating and even dropped me off nearby afterwards. I can't say enough about this location. 6+ stars!

We had a great experience with this company. The car was very clean without any smell. We had a small accident that the car was hit by a small rock on highway which caused the hairline crack on windshield glass. When we returned it, the manager was very friendly and helpful and made the process smoothly without any stress. He even helped spell out the words when I tried to fill out the claim form and provided us a complete information how to do the claims. Highly recommend

I’m shocked these guys even have a 3 star rating. The men are so rude and dismissive. Not only that, they over charge you by adding a bunch of things to your bill without letting you know first hand. Like seriously dudes! If this isn’t so close to wear I live I would definitely not come here! DON’T COME HERE!

It was my first and will be my last business with them. They gave me a car way different of what I had reserved. The car had mechanical problem that I had to return it and they were so impolite and didn't apologize nor accepted the car problem. I wrote to the AVIS customer service and their reply was even worse saying that we don't understand why you have complained!

Very irresponsible company and very poor customer service. I received confirmation email from them to pick the car up on Sunday, however when I arrived there the store was closed and when I called them they did nothing for me and they suggested me to pick the car from airport while airport was very far from me and when I tried to rent the car on next day they gave me higher price. They even didn't say that they will give me credit for the day I lost because of their poor service.

Really, really nice people, good prices for rental as well. Usually have best vehicles to choose from unlike other places

I returned the rental car through drop off box. I'm sure i forgot my back support insidw the car. When i called the next morning, today, the guy told me there's nothing there inside the car. I checked again in my own car and called them again and i got the same answer, it's not in the rental car. What i am sure is don't have it now after i used it in that rental car.

I believe there has been a change in ownership. The new operators are not very friendly towards their customers.

Perhaps we were renting at the discounted corporate rates which cut into their profits hence the, 'please don't come back we dont want your business' attitude. So we won't.

We have been with Avis for years, but if there was an option to give this place lower than one star I would. I can not believe that company of such profile as Avis is allows such horrible service. Cars are so filthy that every time we rent we first disinfectisy it and than drive it. Service all together is complete disaster. For more than two years whenever we have to rent we could not park our car there, can you imagine that having in mind crazy winter weather in Toronto. Let alone renting last spring and after ten minutes drive we felt unbearable stink, soon we figured out that floor under left back seat was soaked with smth stinking on sour cabbage. List goes on and on. And it is obvious that those kind of positive posts are total nonsense and seems that same person writes them and replied to them.

I’ve travelled all over Canada, I’ve rented cars, trucks and vans all over the country and I’ve dealt with many rental agencies. This location is by far the worst place I have ever tried to rent a car from. The customer service is non existent and the people at this location are extremely rude. I highly recommend you do not rent a vehicle here.

I am a newcomer in Canada. I wanted to rent a car and they asked for a credit card. I have applied for it, but haven't received it yet. I asked why the can't just hold whatever amount they need from my debit car and they told me I need a credit card in order to be considered a trust worthy person.

WARNING! Manager told me a price for a week and when I went back he tried to charge me another $140 extra. They are very unprofessional. Do your self a favour and go to enterprise.

I never write a review on any web sites but i must write this one.worst experince ever. I rented a jeep wrangler with my wife and one of my friends on july. 09.2018 at 3: 30. The lady was very nice at begining and tried to show us that she gave us the best deal and so we trusted them.our mistake was that we didnt check the car carefully as the car was wet we didnt catch that damage and also we trusted them as they said there is nothing wrong with the car.long story short we pick up the car to go to the place we wanted to go and we reached there in less than 5 minutes and we stopped on yong and hwy7 at silvercity plazza as soon we parked the car my wife and my friend noticed there is dent on the front bumper so we called them right away and told them.but they said no it's all ur fault and you hit it somewhere and that me and my wife and my friend are all lying. I showed the car to 3 different bodyshops they all said its not new and was from before.basicly now they want to get money from me and they blamed it on me because I am sure the damage was there and it's not fair for me to pay for it.they were not even listening to me. I think they knew about it and it was planned and they were trying to blame it on someone so they won't pay for the damage.any how i highly do not recommend this place to rent cars. But if you have to make sure you check all over the car becouse at the first before you rent they all act very nice to you but when any problem happen they completely change even when i ask owner to let me finish my talk he said he is not a human and can't listen or talk to me.very unprofessional.very bad experience and the money I have to pay is not fair. This was planned they knew about it and tried to blame it on someone else so they won't pay for it.
