I was hit from behind while waiting to turn left. There were no injuries but the rear passenger side corner of my car was pretty much gone. From the time I contacted Aviva by phone to the time my car was repaired and back to me, my claims adviser at Aviva guided me through the process with courtesy, expertise, and an outstanding commitment to customer service. I wish all my customer service experiences were handled as professionally!

This is the first time I have ever made a claim and I was very happy with the kindness of the claims advisor Newanka he was great at explaining everything and helpful with the process. Aviva has a great employee and the company has been nothing but helpful throw this whole thing. I would recommend them anytime

If I was able to give 0 stars I would. I have been having issues with this insurance since the moment of the accident, they have not gotten the updates nowhere to the body shop, and everyone had been waiting. They failed to repair my vehicle because the appraiser hasn’t confirmed anything for the further damage of the vehicle, and knowing my frustration they company won’t do nothing to keep the customer happy. They did not cooperate to make things better, but kept me in the uncertainty and safety of my vehicle. I would never recommend this insurance to nobody, due to the lack of customer service and not able to repair my vehicle within the time provided to me by the insurance. It was supposed to take only a week, but it had already been 2 months.

Very professional efficient insurance services, I Just had my Toyota Corolla fixed after successful claim, I'm so pleased and happy throughout the whole claim process. Based on this positive experience I recommend AVIVA for all you insurance need.

The 3 stars are based solely on my first call in with the adjuster who didn't want to examine further on why I had water damage. She just said there's nothing I can do and closes the claim.
Karen Nurse however was yhe exact opposite. She looked after me listened to my concerns and had me looked after.
First onsite was crazy good. Romano.he is so good kept us informed all the way through and the work was outstanding.

I recently had an incident with my 86 Porsche 911 which resulted in some fairly significant damage. I've been insured with Hagerty/Aviva for a number of years. My dealings with them in settling the claim were positive in every way. The Claims rep was communicative, thorough and easy to access when I had questions. The entire process was seamless and I have no problem recommending them as an insurer.

Horrible experience with Aviva. Been with them for years, finally got unlucky enough to need a claim. They keep telling you to “contact your broker, ” which is great, if the broker ever answers the phone.

Lohitha is the name. Horrendous broker. Tried calling her at all business hours, multiple times across different business days. Left numerous voicemails across 2 weeks. Not a single call back or question answered.

To top it all off, they gave us the wrong location for our vehicle, causing a day of driving to various locations looking for our car.

Reconsider. There’s better service elsewhere, no need to add to the stress of an accident by dealing with Aviva.

I would give zero stars if it was possible. There was a complete lack of communication during our claim process. Our questions were never answered properly and the length of time of the claim took 4 months. We felt mistreated and felt their investigation was overly extensive for the the small claim we had. This is after 28 years of being with them with no claims. Other people with the exact same claim as ours (barn fire) from other insurance companies got their claims approved easily and in a reasonable amount of time. Definitely not an insurance company you can put your trust into. I do not recommend Aviva.

Poor customer service…poor accounts receivable dept…. I signed again for this term with aviva for 140$ a month…. They didn’t take their payment out for the first 3 months then breeched our contract and on the 4 month tried to take 221$ Without advising me at all or my broker for that matter…. And then threatened to cancel my auto insurance if I did not pay the 221 which is also now the new monthly payment that I have no choice to pay for the rest of the year (because they didn’t take their payment for the first 3 months). I don’t understand how they can just do what they want…. What’s the point of signing a contract then. I’ve been with them since 2018 out in Alberta and havnt had any problems but since I moved to Ontario they’ve been nothing but problems and have terrible service. If you have the choice go with another company Aviva is run by a bunch of scammers.

I recently had an experience which led me to contact an Aviva representative and one of their claims advisors to assist me in resolving my dilemma. My experience with the 2 individuals involved was positive. They provided me with all the necessary information I required in a very timely, respectful and professional way. I am grateful to them for helping me through a stressful situation with a positive outcome.
My only difficulty was the layers of technology I had to endure before actually getting to speak with those who then promptly activated the process to successfully address my situation.

A disgraceful level of service from start to finish.
I was hit by another driver who failed to stop at a 4-way stop. Aviva insisted for months that the contents of my vehicle were not covered by the claim, despite it being clearly stated so in the policy. Had I not persisted, they would have underpaid my claim by $36,000.
They ignored my voice and email messages for weeks, I spent hours on hold trying to escalate. The senior adjuster did nothing. I put a formal complaint in and never received a response.

The whole process was agony and distressing and I will ensure I never deal with Aviva again in my entire life, and you shouldn't either. I wish I could give less than 1 star.

CONDO OWNERS BEWARE.

A flood happened in my unit due to the fill valve in my toilet breaking while I was away. Horrible situation yes.but thats what insurance is for - unfortunately not quite. My insurance certificate says huge numbers like $100,000 Property Loss Assessment, $1,000,000 in personal liability but somehow they decided to apply a $25,000 limit meant for special assessments (when other owners have to share the cost) in a situation where I alone am liable for the full cost. My buildings deductible is a $100,000 which one would think, oh your insurance covers that! WRONG AGAIN! Despite the damages being below the deductible sum meaning my condominiums insurance is not involved, somehow I am still capped at $25,000. Despite both my insurance broker AND condominium corporation disagreeing that my claim as a special assessment, AVIVA still refuses to provide the coverage that the rest of the world seems to expect from the company.

This sets a very dangerous precedent for all owners because without a time machine to anticipate this unfortunate event, there is pretty much no reasonable way owners like myself could have obtained an insurance policy that would have been sufficient to cover the way in which AVIVA has elected to handle my claim. Now I am left with over $50,000 of damages looming over me with a potential lien placed on my property.

This is what we are told to have insurance for but until it happens to you, you may find yourself at AVIVAs mercy of what they choose to honour despite disagreement of all other parties. I implore all condominium owners that are insured by AVIVA to look into their policy and ask the tough question of what they are actually prepared to cover if something in your condo malfunctions and causes damages.

Don't leave a lot of reviews but when a great review is warranted I owe it to other people to share. We all can get insurance from a number of providers and we are fortunate to have the choice as opposed to other provinces, my choice will always be Aviva. I had a terrible situation with my home and after dealing with Aviva and most importantly my claims adjuster Lena Kim there is no doubt I'm staying with Aviva. Lena was fantastic and took care of me throughout the entire process, any question or concern I had she was there. Customer service is very important and hopefully you don't need to file a claim but if you do I hope you get Lena she is a rock star, Aviva 5 stars, Lena 10 stars.

I had vehicle insurance through RBC, picked up new vehicle and was quoted 3500. No accidents or tickets. Call up directly quoted 1800. Went with another broker and paying 1000. None of this makes sense.

This is the first time I experienced my condo unit’s fan coil leaking which affecting several units down from ours. Part of the hardwood flooring in my newly renovated unit had to be removed in order to let the water underneath get dried. We reported this incident to our insurance broker and our adjuster contacted us the next business day. The whole claim process was smooth and quick. We are very satisfied with Aviva’s service.

My house got hail damaged on July 2nd 2021. After numerus times contacting with AVIVA insurance adjuster finally I have been told that AIVIVA insurance only pays for the Vinyl siding damaged side only, which is not fair at all.
Because Vinyl sidings after year, they loose their color due to expose to sun and weather and by changing the only damaged side the house going to be different color from different angles which cause devaluing the property and loose money. I have no choices to do siding the whole house which coast is three times more than what AVIVA paying.
That's the reason I'm not happy with AVIVA insurance and would never recommended to anyone else. Very cheap company and not professional.

I had an accident that required both side panel doors replaced on my vehicle. From my initial call to the claims dept to picking up my car after the work was completed was an exceptional easy process; the adjuster provided the name of the repair shop and booked my initial appointment while we were talking, in additional, my car rental was at the shop when I arrived to drop off my car. I am surprised how efficient everyone was; my car was actually repaired sooner than the shop had quoted, and complete with a car wash! The also offer a lifetime guarantee for the work. Obtaining a rental car from Enterprise Car Rental was seamless, they delivered the car while I was dropping off my car and came shortly after I arrived to pick up my car. It is with pleasure that I recommend Aviva Ins and Ford Fix It in Waterloo, 5 Star for their excellent customer service, deep knowledge, efficiency, and friendly approach, during what could of been a stressful situation to a calm and clear approach.

I have had a very satisfying experience with aviva insurance, for my motorcycle claim.
I crashed at the track, and there was no problem, a complete payout, and they reconsidered the designation of the bike at my request, and mechanic information…all in all, I really can say I’m ectstatic, and am very happy to stick with this company!

Worst insurance company. Been on hold for over an hour for their mistake. My car was hit by a drunk driver so zero at fault and they won't help at all. They have not paid me out yet so my car better have not been taken out of the lot it is in until they pay.

I have had a horrible experience with Aviva. My vehicle has been in the repair shop for over 5 weeks, and I have not heard a single update or had contact from my claims advisor. It was not clear that I had a limited coverage on my rental vehicle, and it was luck that I contacted the company when I did, or I would have been charged for use of this vehicle out of my own pocket. I have emailed and called my claims adjuster many times, and have not received a single call back. Additionally, when speaking to an agent regarding extending rental vehicle coverage, she advised me to "take a cab or bus" - I live in a town with zero access to these amenities. The initial advisor was not clear about the coverage that I would receive, and has since ignored every effort I've made to contact her. All of my experiences with other agents have been nothing but rude and unhelpful. I would not recommend anybody to use this insurance company, and I will not be renewing my policy with them moving forward.

I had a fire in my garage, was started on my motorcycle. The Aviv rep, told me I was not covered, because the fire started on my motorcycle. I agree the policy did not cover vehicles; but I took that to mean, on the road; not in my garage. Totally unhappy with the policy interpretation.

My claim started with needing a new windshield for my Motorhome ($4800.00), cracked during winter storage (usually in Arizona). While talking to the adjuster I mentioned that I was taking my coach in to have the back end fixed. This was due to my having to backup the coach and trailer out of Las Vegas. I jack-knifed, coach and trailer, in the rain and late at night trying to get back to Canada because of Covid scare. I told the adjuster I always pay for the scratches I do to my vehicles. Calking it up to my stupidity. I mentioned a shop I had found that looked to do really good work on RV's. I would be taking it in when I got a call from the shop. Next day I received a call from the Body Shop saying he had been contacted by Aviva and they would be looking after the fix. He mentioned he would need a Claim # to process the repair. The only claim # I had was for a windshield. That day the adjuster contacted me to complete the new repair claim and the amount of the deductible. Surprised? You bet, having paid insurance for 55 years and not having a damage claim. I have always been afraid to claim anything through insurance companies, only hear the negative. I have to say this was one positive experience. Thanks to Ryan V, for looking after an old guy who needed a positive experience.

I need an Aviva manager or supervisor to call me immediately because sales representatives keep refusing to connect me with them.

I called On Aug 5th 2019 trying to get an auto insurance with Aviva, first expect to wait for 25 to 30 min just to speak to a representative then they told me to fill an application that would take 10 days to get approved or not.

I fill the application and called the representative to check it and said it all good. After 10 days I didnt get any call so I called them, and spoke with another representative and she told me, some info are missing, so I gave them what they need and they said all good this time, but in another few days I called to check on my application they said oh we need more time. It took 30 days for them to get back to me. Big waste of time and the staff dont know how to do simple job and get it right.

Whenever I ask to speak with a manager who might help me better they tell me no supervisor or manager is available at the moment, morning, noon, evening.

Let's assume you have an accident claim, do you know how hard they are going to make it so they dont lose any $.
Very unprofessional staff will make things harder all the time.

The Manager says I will have someone reach you directly on his message, man why are you a liar.

They say insurance on anything is paying for piece of mind, if nothing else. These guys go above and beyond! I am astounded at how easy my situation became once they had all the details. The best part was that the police were the ones who acquired the details and all I had to give was a reference number. There is no way this could have been any easier! Good job Aviva!

I had a vehicle my vehicle stolen and they refused to pay for a rental until money was in my account so now I have to pay for a rental until there cheque clears at the bank. This is not good business practice. I feel like a victim of there policies. They also payed out less than an appraisal from dealership. Beware.

The claim process was fast, courteous, compassionate and trusting. Settlement process is very quick and fair, no nickel and dime type of approach. Very customer focus insurance policy. Day and night comparison to other insurance company handling prior claims. I think AVIVA still practice the original concept of "insurance" especially related to looking after lost of the insurer.

I have a water damage in my stack townhouse condo unit. I have insurance with Aviva that will cover this damage. The Aviva insurance company agreed to fix all on the first day. However later on, they claimed that they would do only flooring parts as the drywall belongs to the Condominium so they would need to have time to review the document and fight with the Condominium corporation.
It took almost 2 months and my family still have to live in the damaged condition. We have an elderly 70-year-old who gets the stress out from this happening. And the children who are under the age of 10-year-old could not focus on their studies. I called and emailed the Aviva Insurance adjuster many times but they just responded sometimes and the problem is still not solved yet. While I pay my insurance fee every month without any late payments. This is horrible

I was with Aviva Canada since 2012 until 2019. The Customer Service is disgusting. From your Claims Adjuster to Customer Service is a waste of money. They're is no care or humility for the customer. Take your money elsewhere. They're not worth your mental health.

From the day of my accident, which was a very traumatic experience btw, the person I called was very helpful, reliable and accommodating. Then was referred right away with a shop of their choice and a rental car. Everything went smoothly after. I had no issue with anyone. I was given a schedule for repair, liquidations and car rental right away. Very professional and Aviva has good value for car insurance.

Recently had 2 income properties damaged by a tornado in Barrie. Was happy that the tenants were not hurt but the properties were damaged and had to be repaired to make them livable.
Aviva Canada was prompt in getting the properties inspected and funded so the repairs could be done as soon as possible.
The Claims Professional (Stacey Lake) was thorough, professional and pleasant to deal with and made the whole experience less stressful for my family and the tenants. I give kudos to Aviva for having such great staff.

I had and accident on Sept. 2 21 in which I was sent to hospital by ambulance. My husband notified the insurance Co.at 4pm. At 4.45 the car was wrote off and payment was on its way, a rental car was also supplied. Three days later an agent called me to check on my condition assuring me that they were there to help in 54anyway they can. Beat that for being there for their clients.

On August 25,2021 a friend and myself we’re on our motorcycles on the way to Lac la Biche we were involved in a motor vehicle accident which totaled both of our motorcycles and caused me to spend the night in the hospital in Lac la Biche. Two days later I contacted my broker who then contacted Aviva who is my insurance provider and I must say I have never in all my 58 years I’ve dealt withAn insurance company that is so professional and fast to ensure I am looked after and the whole claim process goes as smoothly as possible. There were several contacts between myself and several insurance representatives from Aviva one was the claims one look after any medical issues and the other one came down and to my location and took a statement of occurrence. This situation was handled how we all hope an insurance claim will be handled professionally fairly efficiently and quickly for all involved. I will certainly ensure going forward that my broker has me covered through Aviva because service like this deserves to be rewarded by loyal customers such as myself who appreciate the job that they do and the value that I received. Aviva's staff was excellent at dealing with our trailer claim given that it happened in the busy vacation season. Our repairs were authorized and ;proceeded as soon as a supplier was engaged, Given that we were claim free for 24 years we never experienced the claims process which was painless and responsive. Everything regarding my claim initially worked out well. However the issue of being sent to a different body shop Fix Auto in Midland for the estimate and photos there was a huge time delay of 4 days then the claim adjuster was away from her desk for days.
This resulted in a delay, the shop I chose found additional damage that was not caught by the estimator. The senior adjustor stepped up expedited the claim and overall I was very satisfied with the body work and Aviva

Have always had positive experiences with Aviva. They are quick to get the claim going, their advisors are knowledgeable and easy to deal with and they make sure I am taken care of from start to finish. I realize that I probably pay a little more then I would with other insurance providers but sometimes there is a premium for good service.

I've purchased personal insurance for 35+ years now and this was THE best by far!
It was fast (less than 5 minutes) very convenient and with the same coverage as I've always carried, MUCH cheaper! That's super hard to beat. Know that the high rating was earned. Especially when, in error, one of the details I provided during the application process was inaccurate.when righting the wrong.their attitude, professionalism and service was outstanding!
