Very nice experience overall. Luisa (spelling?) oversaw/did the high/low lights, trim, and style with students around assisting and learning. She knew what colours I needed and the price was such a good deal! Thank you!

I walked out on Monday with a 5 star haircut and colour. The layers have amazing texture and detail - absolutely love it! The colour is so rich as well; a deep chocolate brown. The highlights are a nice touch too.

Looking forward to seeing Avola again soon:)

Cheap and best. Although your stylist would be a student, but they are guided every step of the way by the instructors so you are in good hands. Would recommend to everyone.

I noticed my review didn’t get posted. I’m upset & disappointed by the apathetic and defensive way in which the program director of Avola hair school (he didn't tell me his name) handled my feedback about my haircut experience at 3 pm on Thursday, March 2. I was not happy with the hair instructor Tony and the supposedly "senior" hair student (who was supposed to have the most experience and was supposedly graduating the following Monday) who cut my hair.

Firstly, I was surprised to learn that Tony was the hair instructor that day as his demeanor and attire were not professional at all. He took a long time processing the payment of the customer before me (a good 5 minutes) as well as my payment before my hair cut. Had I not paid attention, he would have also overcharged me for my hair cut. He charged me for a cut + wash which is $30! I told him on the phone when I was making the appointment that I was going in for a cut only which is $23 (very expensive esp for a hair school).

I asked Tony to get the student w/ the most experience as the last time I went in, the student didn't do a good job. The student who cut my hair was graduating the following Monday, but I was perplexed as to why Tony was teaching the soon-to-be-graduate how to cut my hair and stood in front of me the entire time the student was cutting my hair. Tony was boasting about his 15-minute technique that he showed the student which is supposedly super efficient. Shouldn't the student be experienced enough to do it on his own by then? Some instructions & checking in from the instructor are normal but for him to teach and watch like a hawk?

Not only did Tony fail to see what kind of cut I actually wanted, but the results that the student produced were pure AWFUL. The student cut my hair way too short (shoulder length) even though I showed him with my hand the length I wanted MULTIPLE times. Also, the cut didn't look anything like the image I had shown the student which was of a layered fringe. My hair resembled a broom, cut all the same length & didn't have any layering at all. Never had I seen myself with such a horrible cut before.

So much for a "15-minute efficient get-you-out-of-the-door" technique! What was supposed to be a half an hour cut turned into 2 hours as the student frantically tried to fix my hair. In the end, the damage had been done & it was not what I wanted, but I told the student that I think this is the best he can do.

Instead of assuming what hair style a customer wants, Tony should ask for an image of the style. In his defense, he told me that creating the base shape (such as a U- or V-shape) is what matters. That is not true. You need to also pay attention to the rest of the hair & what style the customer wants. He is all talk & doesn't listen.

Tony boasted that he has 40 years of experience at his former hair salon on Dundas St E which he told me was near AGO (which is probably in Chinatown). But I have a feeling that he didn't cut customers' hair much as much as did perms for them (which doesn't require technique). I think Tony was boasting so much about his experience & techniques because he knows he lacks skill & needed to overcompensate.

I feel self-conscious going out with my short hair cut & bangs. This is not the kind of experience anyone should get. I don't think the student is ready to graduate & I'm fearful of him going out in the world to cut people's hair. Tony also shouldn't be an instructor there. No wonder there were only a few customers there.

I brought up my complaints above to the program director & he apologized, but he was also defensive & had an indifferent tone during the whole phone call. He said that Tony is very experienced in hair & that because it is a hair school, students are learning. He also said he doesn't know what to say besides considering on coming in on Tuesdays when Tony isn't there. How convenient. How about saying that he will take my feedback into consideration? Or that he will talk to both Tony & the hair student? Or offering a free hair cut to make up for my awful experience there?

Got my haircut by Jason, he did a great job and my hair feels a lot healthier now! Thank you for the great service

Louiza and Sey did a fantastic job with my hair. It was my first time doing a balayage and they gave me an excellent combination of highlights, balayage, along with a haircut and shampoo and conditioning. Louiza the teacher recommended an excellent choice colour of caramel which complemented with my skin tone. My family and friends were amazed by their service. Highly recommend this place. Definitely will return in the near future. Thank you once again Louiza and See for everything!

I would like to thanks dear Fariba (teacher) and Sid (student) for hair color that I have done today October 10th, 2022 at 12 noon. The color turned fantastic, I am very satisfied.

Sid is very well trained and expert student and my special thanks goes to her and her teacher (Fariba) as well.

Thank you

Mehrzad Taghizadeh

Very well trained, polite and cooperative students. I am really satisfied of all works that they have done for me.

I did keratin hair treatment, and it turns great. My special thanks goes to Fariba (Teacher), Fathima and Mayla (Students). I have to double thanks Fathima for her great job, every time I go there for any type of service she is doing her best. Thank you all.

I tried calling this place for 2 days but no response. I finally had someone answer this morning and they told me to hold and I was on hold for 15 minutes before I hung up. I called back again and they were acting very busy, but finally scheduled me for a haircut today (Saturday).

I went in, and the place was almost empty. I was the only person getting a haircut, and there were maybe 2-3 employees/students hanging around keeping occupied.

My hairdresser was very nice. But there was no teacher who ever came to check up on the progress (as I have experienced in EVERY hairdresser school I have been to). He finished in 25 minutes and I left.

But after getting home, I realized there are random strands of hair uneven all over my head. There was a thick chunk on the back of my head that seemed to be untouched. I had gotten a beard trim and there were a lot of hair missed there too.

I had to reshave myself at home. And I have to go to another hairdresser now to fix the top of my head, cause it is pretty obvious.

When I was leaving, I also asked if there was anyone who could book a salon appointment for next week. They told me they didn't know how, and I should just call back on the weekdays and someone will pick up the phone (I doubt that).

Would not recommend. There really needs to be better organization and processes here.

I’ve been going to Avola for a couple years now and I’ve always had a good experience. Recently I wanted to fix my hair so it blended in properly and Tauney did an amazing job correcting my hair to exactly what I wanted. Tauney explained every step which I really appreciated. I definitely will be coming back. The staff are great here!

Very rude instructor; will NOT be going back.

Booked an appointment for a haircut and style. I showed up and the door was open so I went in. There was no one at reception but a student nearby said someone would be with me. A few minutes later Pam, the instructor, came over and asked the student "how did she get in? " as if I wasn't there.
Strike 1.

Pam proceeded to confirm my details including my tel #. Then she said the student who would be looking after me was on break. OK, no biggie, so I asked how long I'd have to wait.
Her response: "I have no idea".
Seriously? You're the instructor and you have no idea when your student is expected back when I have an apt? Not even a "it shouldn't be too long". She obviously didn't care.
Strike 2.

The student who cut my hair asked me how much I wanted cut; I told her 2 inches. As she was cutting I pointed out I just wanted the 2 inches off my longest layer. Pam who was assisting a student behind me said in a booming voice "Don't tell her how you want it cut. It won't look right. She will get her instructions from me".
Seriously?
Since when does the client not have a say in how they want their hair? Even if it's their policy for the instructor to oversee all procedures, it's the way she said it that was inexcusable.
Strike 3.
YOU'RE OUT.

Note that I'm an easy-going person so no one at the salon can say I gave them attitude. I bit my tongue the whole time. Pam may be able to teach her students how to cut hair, but she has a whole lot to learn about customer service.

I hope the owner of this business reads this review as I would welcome the opportunity to discuss my experience with them. From reading these reviews, I'm not the only one who had a bad experience with the instructor Pam.
26 June 2022 9:14
This school is a ripoff they offer the customer was off a wash- and set if u write a good review, but when U want to use the difference in the price to do a dye touch up they say NO and want to charge the full price for the dye touchup. They do not really care about the customer and the student learning instead of having the student do something in stead of sitting around doing nothing and just want money money money!
04 March 2022 2:00
I had my hair cut and styled by Katelyn who did an amazing job. She had great support from the instructor Fariba, who was also very professional. I was very pleased with the overall service and will return later this month for a trim. Thank you. K

VERY nice asymmetrical haircut! Super happy I picked this place to go. Also very good prices! (Sorry the pictures are a little weird, I took them myself.)
24 January 2022 21:07
I was very impressed with the professionalism of the service. Samia gave me an excellent haircut, with much attention to detail. As her instructor, Fariba gave good guidance and then personally added the finishing touches to my hairdo.
21 January 2022 9:34
I have been here twice, once for balayage and second for a colour and cut. Kayli and Julie are wonderful, patient, thorough and so personable! Grateful for their amazing services! Also shout out to Fariba for her support.

You really do get what you pay for here. While the price for a curly hair cut and colour is significantly cheaper than a standard curly hair friendly salon (About $90 compared to $350), I do not recommend going here.

TL;DR: The instructor is extremely rude, and does not know how to handle curly hair, despite my explicit request to be paired with one who does. She ruined my hair texture, I did not get the colour I originally requested, and the highlights start over an inch away from my roots.

Context: I called Avola to request full-head copper highlights and a cut on my curly hair. I explicitly asked if they had an instructor who is a curly-haired specialist and they referred me to Pam. They gave me her number and I gave her a call. I told her what I wanted and scheduled an appointment. She was rude, cold, and unwelcoming over the phone.

I arrived for my appointment and showed a reference photo for the copper colour I wanted, as well as showed the photo attached of my curly hair, asking her to give me the exact same cut and post-colour styling. The student who did my service was attentive and listened to my requests and concerns. However, they bleached and coloured my hair over an inch away from my roots which you can see in the attached photo. The resulting colour is also just plain red, and not copper like I requested. They also got red toner all over my sleeve and shirt collar.

When it came to the haircut, I explicitly asked Pam if she was going to do a dry cut on my curls, since that's what is recommended and done for curly hair from other specialized curl salons, and what I've been doing for years. She said that we needed to cut it wet, and when I tried explicitly stating that I have curly hair and needed it to be cut dry so there won't be any unevenness, she dismissed me, saying my hair was wavy not curly, and she proceeded to cut my hair wet anyway.

As shown in the photo, the resulting look of my hair is messy, frizzy, and there are no curls in sight. I asked Pam if she was comfortable with letting me leave looking like this, because it did not look good at all. She blamed the student for not having the appropriate curly hair products, and they proceeded to have a mini-argument. Pam did not offer to fix my hair in any way, and refused to take responsibility. I left disappointed after expressing all of my concerns with none of them being addressed. Throughout the 5 hours I was there, there seemed to be animosity between the students and Pam, and it was uncomfortable to watch her be degrading and rude to her students.

I understand that this is a college, and I was patient with the student since I know she's still learning. However, this does not excuse the poor service from the instructor herself, since she's supposed to be the one to know better.

I'd always been frightened of getting a fade haircut, and I'd never had one before, but when I went to Avola College for a haircut, they recommended a fade. I gave it a go, and let me tell you, the way they trimmed my hair was incredible. I absolutely adored it. It fits the bill perfectly.
Unfortunately, I don't recall the name of the student who trimmed my hair, but he was amazing and entertaining. Maria, who was also present when my haircut was being done, comes to mind. She is really sweet and kind!
So the most important thing to remember is that everyone at Avola College is friendly. I appreciate the service.
04 January 2022 19:36
Julie and Tauney are incredibly detail-oriented and skilled in their hair colouring and cutting, putting extra attention and care into the service. They performed a thorough consultation and ensured they understood what I wanted. I'm very happy with my hair colour and cut and will definitely return.
30 December 2021 9:08
I was seen by Julie for a hair wash and cut. They made sure they knew what style I was looking for and were always checking on my comfort and making sure the hair style was what I wanted as they cut. A good experience which I would recommend for anyone looking for a new hair do.

Great experience at Avola College.
I was styled by Gloria, who was so kind and very professional
My haircut is perfect.
Everybody is very nice.
I really recommended! I will come back for sure

Absolutely disgusting. Walked in and walked out. Dirty school. Went to aveda. Don’t waste your time or money.
01 December 2021 21:11
I got the courage to have my first perm ever at Avola College. Kaylie styled my hair, supervised by Touney, and they did an incredible job. I am pleased with the result.
They have a friendly team and excellent service.

Sorry guys for keeping you busy on this long process. But what can I say? I love getting perms. Thanks for being so amazing.
19 October 2021 12:13
I got my hair cut in here and my experience was amazing. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. Jay (Jalal) gave me a haircut and I should say I have never seen such a dedicated hairstyler. Friba his supervisor was super nice as she came regularly to check Jay if he is doing okay. The salon is clean and organize and the customer service is amazing.
Highly recommend this place, especially if you are a student and cannot afford the expensive hair salons!
29 May 2021 8:00
Show up ontime and show up daily and you will learn something! The teachers all have their own areas of expertise for you to learn from and the director is flexible when life unexpectedly interferes with your schedule. I am grateful for the teacher/s ;) that made me a better stylist and for the flexibility this school has afforded me.
15 April 2021 20:16
Very low in product quality and performance. Not having a good management and productivity. Very messy place disobeying the health and safety rules and ethics.
27 March 2021 13:21
Avola school should rather be called “Avola store”! All matters is your money!
Teachers: Not organized, no timetable, no proper notes! They always are in a competition and gossiping about each others teaching techniques.
Do not ask questions, because they might get upset. Louisa is one of the teachers, who makes teams and compete with other teachers. She puts the students of other team at corner and humiliates them. She showed middle finger to some students who complained and stood for themselves.
When you complain to the manager, his response is “all you need a certificate that you will get, regardless”. I left as soon as I found about this place and they gave me a very good reference to keep my mouth shot.
The school ventilation was not working at all during the COVID with 40 students in class (like a hell!), even when they were doing practical tests.
Projector did not work many times and the manager did not bother to fix it on time.
They finished classes early and they asked the students to clean the whole area, not just their own stations. In return for cleaning the area, they bribe the students with extra hours to complete the 1500 hours.
Are you a passionate individual and you love hairdressing? This is not the right place for you.
04 March 2021 18:25
Had an amazing experience at Avola College! Such an easy check in with a friendly receptionist who addressed all my needs. Got highlights, toning, and a conditioning treatment done by two amazing students who mastered the job. I’d definitely come back and recommend all ladies to check this place out.
04 March 2021 1:23
The experience was stressful because I had to ask multiple times for staff to wear their masks properly. Many were not wearing them at all, or had them pulled down, not covering their noses and standing close to me. There were no staff or supervisors enforcing proper mask wearing. My hair somehow turned noticeably darker which is not what I asked for, so I will have to go elsewhere to get it fixed.
06 September 2020 3:35
I'm pretty new to this place. I've lived around the corner from the college for years, but only went there for the first time last week and I had an excellent experience. Very friendly students and instructors all around, and they are handling the current coronavirus pandemic like champs with their client prescreening, cleanliness, and sanitization. My initial haircut was generally excellent, but when I went home, I realized that the back wasn't cut the way I wanted. Lisa, the director of the college, let me come back and she fixed it up perfectly free of charge. That's the kind of service that keeps customers coming back, and I too will certainly come back the next time I need a haircut.
07 May 2020 11:38
I visited their salon for haircut and beard trimming services. My experience with them was amazing. They treated me very well. The staff was friendly and highly skilled. I am totally satisfied with my new hair cut.
Will definitely visit them again.
Highly, highly recommended!
05 April 2020 5:53
When I set foot in Avola, I was warm welcome by Cassandra. And she introduced me to Pretty (don't know how to spell her name, it's pretty long for Indian so I named her that nickname). She even asked me if she can pictured my hair. I also agreed. And since it's my birthday, this salon is the best place you can ask for a hairstylist. I will have a chance to visit this place again in the future.

Hi. My name is Andrew Barczak, I live in New York. I came to Canada on a business trip. While here, I came upon Avola College of Hairstyling and Easthetics, where I got my hair cut done. People there were very professional, amazingly nice and they fulfilled all my expectations. Looking forward to came back. Thank you Avola College.
29 March 2020 1:59
I had my hair washed, cut, and blow dried here yesterday and I am in love! For just 21 dollars I received amazing treatment with a fun and welcoming environment. Liany did my hair and she did a great job giving me exactly the look I asked for! If I'm ever back in toronto and in need of a haircut I'll definitely be coming back because these talented people know how to make my hair look and feel great!
13 March 2020 20:17
I had called today (a Saturday morning) to see if I can book a hair cut appointment (I found out that it is drop in only). The receptionist on the phone had a rude and annoyed tone to her which I didn’t appreciate. I did not say anything to her that should merit such treatment. I have never experienced such treatment at a hair student salon/hair salon before. Her customer service was completely lacking. Please ensure that the people who pick up the phone have a better attitude. They are the first point of contact before potential customers step into the salon. She did not give me a good first impression of the salon.
13 March 2020 13:55
Just got the best hair cut from here. The hairdresser Soo is the best. She made my experience amazing, she knows what she is doing and she know about products which one you can buy from them. And product really work. I had problems with dadruffs and tried everything to get rid of them, I tried shampoos from pharmacy, but it did help. And Soon suggest to try DSM shampoo and it showed results showed immediately. It good place to get excellent hair cut and customer service.

I would highly recommend trying Avola College for their salon services! Luiza is an true artist and her passion comes out in her work. She created the most natural looking balayage I have ever had! She has an amazing team of students who are dedicated to making you look beautiful! I will be back.

Sells the Mon Platin hair line.
Best hair products money can buy.
If you're looking for Mon Platin order from this salon.
If you haven't tried Mon Platin you need to.
They can add a cost effective mon platin treatment to your service

- just got my roots done, very reasonable pricing
- fast to be seen
- good colour match with full grey coverage
- student working on me, not perfect but tried her best. People coming here need to understand students take a little longer and aren't 100% perfect yet.
- had a shine treatment added to my service, very noticable difference. Worth the extra money. Would get it again.
- this salon is my dirty little secret for hair colouring and mon platin products.

Hi this student did a really good. And professional job on my hair today. I love my new colour. She brighten my hair and toned it into something beautiful.
03 February 2020 4:45
I have been a customer of Avola for almost 2 years now. It saddens me to even write this review but I have to because of the absolutely horrible experience I had with them today.

I had my hair cut by a tall asian woman (don't know her name) who was nothing but rude and rough with the way she handled the cut. I paid for my hair to be washed before the cut and when I told her this, she refused and asked someone else to wash it. While cutting the hair, she combed it so roughly with the brush and comb that it hurt my scalp and ears. Also, she made no effort to avoid the cut hair from falling in my eyes. When I politely asked her to do so, she said its part of the haircut and one of the staff sitting there rudely remarked "That's just gravity". Well, I'd say that's just a mark of an amateur hairdresser because all the other students who cut my hair in the past made sure this never happened or at least made an effort to clean it in between. She continued by roughly pressing and hitting my scalp with the electric shaver and comb until the end of the cut.

After the cut, when it was time to wash my hair and style it, she refused once again by rudely questioning again if I paid for it. Once the receptionist confirmed it, she simply rinsed my hair with water and told me its done. When I asked her to wash it with shampoo and conditioner, she said, "Oh, do you want conditioner? Here you go" and proceeded to very roughly hit my head with her conditioner soaked hands, washed it off with insufficient water, put a towel on my head, and just left. I had to dry my hair myself and go ask her to blow dry it. She then proceeded to dry my hair without making any effort whatsoever to style it and left it incomplete. I had to take the dryer myself and finish drying my hair and styling it in the end. What a nightmare experience!

I only have one final word of advice to management. Please don't employ people who don't like what they are doing and take it out on clients no matter how polite and patient we are. You will eventually end up driving loyal customers like me away and lose their business and respect if you do.

Avola College has been one of the best decisions I could’ve made for my future. I’ve been attending school full time for 2 months and already I have learned so much. 2 years ago I completed a MOA (Medical Office Admin) Course and although I learned a lot and loved that program as well, I later then realized I wanted to do more practical work instead of paper work. & here I am at avola learning everything I’ve ever wanted to. Their esthetics program has been so educational. In 8 more months I will be ready to open my own Beauty MediSpa! Thank you to the teachers & administrators for making my enrolment, and daily schedule very easy for me as a single mother of 3!

I had the most fantastic experience getting my hair cut last week by Simin. She was extremely gentle and did an amazing job, giving me the exact style that I requested.
27 December 2019 22:08
I came here to get my hair cut and colored and loved the whole experience! It was really fun atmosphere and my stylist Louisa is an expert. I put my trust in her and she surpassed all expectations. Ive been loving my new color for a few weeks now. I wouldn't hesitate to come here again:)

I'm impressed with the result and quality of service, they bleached and toned my hair perfectly. The instructor was Letisha and the student was Kasha. I'm happy I found this place and will be back.

They say it will take 30 mins for someone to attend you but none turns up even if you wait about 2 hours.

Avola College has been a wonderful partner of the CRC Regent Park Community Food Centre by providing free professional haircuts for participants at the CRC, who are living in poverty or low-income and experience barriers to getting haircuts. Avola College students volunteer their time and energy at the CRC on a monthly basis and offer a much needed service for participants. We are so thankful of this partnership and really appreciate the support, enthusiasm and energy of Avola College students. This is a great way for Avola College students to get involved and give back to the community and gain practical experience.

Thank you Avola College!

The cut wasn't bad but wasn't something I loved. The student cutting my hair had absolutely no idea what he was doing. She teacher was going back and forth with five different students. The cut took 1.30 to complete. Not a bad place but I wouldn't suggest it for haircuts.

The atmosphere at this is amazing and services offered are outstanding!
Also, the staff is friendly and polite.
Highly Recommended!

Okay so Heidi (student) is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I love her and her work so much. I came in the first time and had her and she was so professional and did an amazing job on making me platinum blonde.
I came in for a root touch up and walked into the Russian teacher screaming at one of the students at the front desk and it obviously made her feel uncomfortable so I commented and said "that was not nice" and I was already so uncomfortable. The teacher came over to tell the two students how to bleach my hair and they missed some spots so i was left with orange dots and they had to go over it AGAIN (not the students fault but the teachers for not informing them), then I can finally get my hair washed and that alone took an hour because no one could wash my hair properly and get all the bleach out and at this point my scalp is burning like crazy. The teacher takes over the rinse and gets water all over my face, in my ears and down my shirt for some reason. We then go to the chair and heidi (the talented student) started to blow dry but I noticed my routes were orange and the teacher literally said "no they aren't" right to my face and Im starting to question if this lady is blind. The teacher FINALLY gives in and is like "ok uh can you come in on Thursday and I can fix it? " I had to have a ten minute argument about this and forced them to fix it otherwise I will be getting my money back. I have tiny bubbles on my scalp now, Not sure if thats even normal but my scalp is burning from all the bleach and toning they had to apply because of her mistake. I couldn't even trust her to finish my hair because she was so ignorant and didn't want to listen to anyone. If they don't want people going a head with allegations then they should probably have a witness sign the consent form you need to to have your hair done but they didn't so here is my story. Stay far far far away from this place. It might be cheap but not cheap enough for this BS.
Heidi is worth 5 stars but this lady is worth nothing so thats why I am giving a two.

Got my hair done today for the first time in over a year by Lodina and it is absolutely fantastic, I couldn’t be happier with the service I received and my fabulous new hair!

If you want to make career in Esthetics and looking for a beauty school where you can learn all the skills, then Avola College Of Hair styling And Esthetics is the recommendation. They have highly-trained staff and guide the students in every possible way. The atmosphere of the place is also really good with friendly people.
28 August 2019 10:36
This instructors are patient, and take time to do things right for your hair. My hair was unique and took several sessions to get the colour lifting I wanted with out damaging my hair. Very good service. The Russian teacher is highly skilled and is absolutely amazing, a gem in this industry! My hair is very thick and she knows exactly what to do with it. I have gotten compliments almost everywhere I’ve gone since I’ve been coming here. If you want good service and a professional looking hair style, this is the place to go! And it’s cost efficient, just the cherry on top of this sundae!
I’ve tried to book with other hair schools before I found this place but the process was too long. I walked in one day, and I had the good fortune of stumbling onto the Russian teacher and she assessed my hair and gave me an honest “this is going to take at least three to four treatments before you get their hair style your looking for. ” This was very respectable, and she was right. Now I’ve been coming here for over a year and recommend it to everyone! My favourite student is Niko, he’s so meticulous, and he takes time to make thin highlights, using expert techniques ensuring that the colours come out the same and look well blended. One of the best students I’ve had do my hair, and excellent results every time.

I came to Avola for a colour service. Mikki has done my hair more than once now, and has always done a great job. I recommend Mikki to anyone who wants to make a drastic colour change. Great service and super affordable. Yeet.

I’m a hairstyling student at Avola College and I love it! Today we had a guest speaker from Schwartzkopf and it was so informative. We learned so much I can’t wait to try out Schwartzkopf colours and new techniques. Makes me so excited to start my new career in hairstyling. Thank you Avola for giving me the best experience.

After being told on the phone that it was okay to come in for a short cut -time wise, I was turned away. At 7: 55 when their hours on the website says 9: 30 on Thursdays, and there is a sign on the wall that says not to take clients after 8: 30.

Terrible! I have never written a bad review before but I can’t express how awful my experience was. The instructor needed to step in to salvage my haircut and as I was leaving I was told “don’t worry it will grow back”.

Avola College was exceptional great at providing my client information prior to starting classes. Both Mark and Twyla were prompt getting back to me regarding the course outline and the specific tools needed for my client to start with the College. After discussing the unique circumstances of my client, they were able to provide a catered program which accommodated the needs of my client. The process was super easy to get started. In comparison to other Colleges, Avola stands above the rest in preparing their students for a career in the industry, customer service and overall mentorship and guidance for their students long after they graduate. They work with you ever step of the way to ensure that you exceed in your career.

The school is fine; Ms Abbott and Ms Stevens are EXCELLENT teachers; however; the issue is the area where the school is located.

Maria from the Avola College came to OneEleven to volunteer for a Fundraising event supporting Movember. She was gentle despite the task of having to wax 10 men (legs and backs) who were clearly in pain- for a good cause. We thank her and really appreciate the support!

We had a great experience having Avola College students to participate in our events across the GTA. The students are very professional and talented stylists. We would love to work with Avola College students for future events. Twyla - Thank you for all your support in 2018 and looking forward to working with you in 2019.

My experience as an international student enrolled in the hairstyling program has been great so far. English is not my first language and I had no troubles during the classes and exams. All instructors were willing to help me with any language issue. A huge thanks to Mrs Abbot and Mrs Letisha for caring so much for the students and for doing their best to be make sure they really learned.
