I went to this place during my Navratri fast. And i was craving for something good but satvik for sure! Tried their navratri special thali! It was so yumm! Also the staf working here is so friendly, we’re attended by David, very humble and patient person! I guess it not just food but also the atmosphere which makes your lunch or dinner special! Hope to visit again soon!

This place is overhyped. Went there for Gujarati thali lunch but disappointed with food options. People visit their place to have variety of food but some options are just useless and not worth the money.

I ordered Navratri special thali and the quantity of the thali was so less and the price was so huge as compared to the quantity.

Loved it. I am my family are foodie and tried many different veg restaurants but this is exceptional. Pizza, sandwiches snd thali were amazing. Do not miss it guys.

Quality of food is very poor. That’s why owner offers us some Discount but his behaviour was very rude. But I didn’t accept his discount offer because I don’t want to play with my life by having bad quality of food.
Please don’t go to this restaurant.

Too pricey for the quantity that was provided. For $10.50 pav bhaaji, too little bhaaji was provided. Even taste was not at up to the mark. Also, service was not convincing - staff didn't sound friendly. Won't recommend this place.

The horrible, and bad attitude I thought at least food will be good but after paying 18 dollars for thali quantity was very less and except one Curry everything was not good

I order food of huge amount but the food I order with the specific instructions was not followed and when I called them to told about that and other food was missing also the bad quality of food they just told me that you need to check before you leave the restaurant. When I called them about my issue but I didn’t get proper response. I wish I could give zero star but I don’t have that option.

Waste of money food.

Heard so much great things about this place and wanted to give it a shot. Safe to say that it ruined my family’s Diwali.

Not only was the food terrible, the proportions were terribly small, not even enough for a person. Had to rush last minute to get additional food, definitely not the kind of Diwali I wanted to celebrate.

If you want overpriced, below the average Gujarati food then this is your place. Not going back here ever again.

Avsar is one of the best restaurants we have ever been to. It has a great concept of street food. The quality and taste of food is excellent, it reminds of the exact taste back home. One can always tell that the food has been made fresh unlike other restaurants. Owners are always warm and welcoming. My personal favorites are Vada Pao, Pao Bhaji and Bombay Sandwich. I highly recommend going here.

The food is excellent, and the staff is very polite. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to try indian food. I am extremely happy with the service i have received as well as the delicious food.

Spoiled Diwali lunch as we choose to order tasteless Gujarati food from here. While like me I see few mentioned $18 as high price and less portion of serving in the diwali special lunch pack, I would add that I don’t mind even if it’s $25 but it has to be tasty and quality driven which this wasn’t.

Worst Gujarati food ever that I ate in my life from this restaurant. We ordered 10 dishes and many more cusions but test and food was like pathetic compare to real gujju food. They ruined my diwali of 2020

What a delicious and amazing selection. Yes, I am talking about Diwali sweets and food items I just bought at Avsar over the weekend. The taste, quality and purity of sweets is no second to any other restaurants. The taste of good brings out flavours of india rite to your taste buds. No need of missing india, Avsar provides same taste and fun as having food in streets
Of Mumbai and gujarat.
Amazing service and personal care of each person by owner makes the place extra special and with all the precautions of covid -19, I has more comfortable to dine in and also take sweets home for friends and family.

Well, packaging and stuff are Just Looking Good but taste and service is worst. I ordered it for this Diwali 2020 but this Diwali becomes the worst with this food. Also the order was received with missing items.

I thought this Diwali would bring me some happiness this year but 2020 had some other plans for me. Had a very bad experience this Diwali. Our order was huge for almost 10 people and they ruined it. We asked for only 1 thali without onion and garlic but we got 9. Many items were missing for which we paid in advanced. We asked for partial refund but they provided only store credits. Food was not tasty at all for the price. I am never going to visiting this restaurant and I don't know when will I use my credits. I have never given only 1 rating to any place but this restaurant has made me do it. If you don't believe then you are most welcome to try.

The worst food i have ever eat in my life. On top of that when we try to reach customer service, they give us reason its "subjective" choice, how can choice of group of people is subjective? I think they just making us fool by paid reviews. I feel regretted as i ordered food on DIWALI and ruined my own Diwali

I wish I could rate them less than 1 star, pathetic quality, overpriced items, worst service, I can even taste burnt oil, got bad stomach ache after this. I m a big fan of Gujarati food as I am a Punjabi from Surat, N moved to mississauga from Scarborough where we had decent Gujarati food, till i came and bought this food on dasherra, what a rude gentleman I believe he was the ownere, Nasty, guys please suggest a decent Gujarati place in Brampton, Mississauga.

We ordered for take way for 9 thalis on Diwali and they forget to give us rice. The qty of thali takeaway was enough for only 6 people though we paid for 9. The size of puri was so small n 4 puris per thali that is like nothing. They gave 7 small pieces of dhoklas for 3 Jain thali that is 2 piece per head. We were embarrassed serving the food as the quantity was very less. We had to prepare extra food as the quantity was not enough. Very bad will never order food. The taste was also very bad. Spoiled our Diwali party. When we called the staff the staff was very rude too. Worst service, quality and quantity.

Had lunch today at Avsar, and was totally disappointed. They said that they only had an un limited Thali for $19.99. Upon asking is that all they serve we were told that we can order Chole Bhatura or Pav bhaji. We were not given a menu so we could not see what the prices for the dishes were. We ordered the Chole Bhatura and Pav Bhaji only. Next thing we were given mango lassi and were told it is a combo when we said we did not order it. The Pav Bhaji was too salty. For the two dishes we paid $29 which is way over priced for the small portions served. No where is there any mention of this so called "combo" on their website. According to the prices on the website our total should have been $17.90 plus tax. This place is a rip off. I would suggest people to stay away from this place. If I could I would not give it even 1 star.

Wasn’t very pleased with service. You would be paying bunch for nothing. I got hair on a “Papad “ and they couldn’t even say sorry for it. Just went back in and a girl picked papad back to table in her hand. So it was my last time in there. Sorry but unless you can improve service I can’t pay that much.

Not bad, not great. The price, quality or quantity don’t go along. I had the special thali, the savoury snack and sweet served was so little I really felt cheated by the size of portion served for the extra 2$. The baigan bharta was less baigan and more of tomatoes. The kadhi was thinner than the buttermilk. The roti’s were freshly prepared and I liked it. Also note that they don’t accept credit payment below 20$, which is something to be considered before you go.

Owner of this restaurant is not courteous at all, please note, we are paying for the service and it is not a free lunch.while we are still on the table finishing up with our lunch, he asks his employees to start cleaning the tables so the customers walk out.no waiting area is another draw back, waiting area is so small that even if 4 people stand, there wont be space for opening doors and on a rainy day aksing customers to be seated without waiting area is NOT OK. Food is good, but when there is no courtesy towards customers, it really doesnt matter how good your food is. We are definitely not going to go back to this place again.

Avsar is great place to have an authentic Gujarati Thaali and Pav Bhaaji (Please note that I have not tried the Kacchi Dabeli, Mumbai Street Sude Sandwich, and Vada Pav yet)

The owners come from Andheri Mumbai and they perfectly know the authenticity and the correct way of making and offering authentic ‘Pav Bhaji’ (and not any mashed up Bhaji in the name of Pav Bhaji)

The food is completely fresh, well-prepared, served with a smile and with generosity. The price point for an unlimited Thaali offers only on weekends is completely justified for the freshness, purity, simplicity and super hospitality.

The cleanliness and the sanity of the place is great! Washrooms were in great shape when I visited. Ample seating is available.

The downside at this point in time, I see as a guest, is that they should offer booster seats seeing small kids and toddlers visiting too with families.

Complete 5 rating on Pav Bhaji and the Gujrati Thaali and I will revisit.

I do want to try the Kacchi Dabeli, Vada Pav and the Mumbai Style Roadside Sandwich which at this point I believe should be authentic as well.

Two stars exclusively for their service standards. They have a good thing going here with decent quality food (at most times), clean interiors with most servers being nice and easy going, but they always end up having one horribly rude server (a male).
