The owner here is the kindest man. Always looking for any way to make your experience here as lovely and comfortable as possible. A homeless man came in and the owner was so welcoming to him and asked him if he needed some food and said “don’t worry, I’ll make you something. ”
So heartwarming. The food was good, and you’ll feel like family here. A very specific thank you to the owner, Sam. He was so wonderful.

Honestly been here once, but the owner/worker was so nice. I wouldn’t expect this type of service at a fast food place ever. Also my food was so warm and fresh.

Was just in the area for a concert at Danforth Music Hall (obviously) wanted to make a review in regards to the owner (assuming as he was working the front in plain clothes). Super friendly and extremely welcoming! Aside from the washroom being less than clean, owner made the place super welcoming!

No one cooking was wearing gloves and the cook didn wash his hands after touching the till and money.

Oddly good A&W. They seemed to make everything made to order… took a bit longer, but holy smokes it slapped

So, I don't give the one star for the staff (except that what I ordered and what I received were clearly not the same, as last time I checked a Teen burger came with bacon and no mayo) but for the awful lack of cleanliness. The bathroom was disgusting. Wet on the floor near the toilet, barely any toilet paper, a smell which I don't care to define and a brown spatter all over the sink which I truly hope wasn't fecal matter. Thank goodness there was soap. I washed and thrn dried my hands on my sweater because no way was I using the air dryer with the bathroom in that condition. The main dining room didn't have a single clean table so I was grateful they brought the food to me on a tray. There were flies near the ketchup dispenser. I probably shouldn't have eaten there but after missing dinner earlier due to a doctor's appointment immediately after work, I was starving. I would highly suggest to management that they start cleaning up, especially in the bathroom, before people stop coming there.

They're human so just be patient, they do a good job and they try their best all the time, thank you for everything and I'll be coming back in the future. I don't know why people complain, it's fast food not a Michelin star restaurant.

This review low because of the treatment of a homeless person. The owner or manager was unnecessarily rude. Instead of using his customer skills to ask a homeless man to leave due to smell. He shamed him and told him he smelled like garbage. The homeless man left without issue. His behaviour was completely unnecessary and uncalled for. Yes we understand why he asked him to leave but the owner did not need to behave that way. What a shameful way to represent A&W.

Extremely Unclean eating area. Garbage on the floors, no clean tables. Just insane to think this is acceptable from a franchise. Went at 8pm. It was not an unusual time. Only looked to be 1 staff member working and the other two playing on their phones in the back. Only one washroom was in service and extremely dirty. I don't understand how a franchise such as A&W can let their "Franchise Owners" run their good name straight into the ground. Looks like they will sell their franchise to anyone and have absolutely no quality control.

Not to mention God forbid you use an A&W.ca coupon. They look at you like you are stealing straight out of their very own pocket. Unbelievable.

Whomever made the breakfast today, shouldn't be working there. Instead of white toast I got burned multigrain (whatever) instead of bacon I got sausages and 3 so greasy eggs what was inedible. $20 breakfast trough Uber down to garbage.

The manager is racist. He doesn’t have any respect nor humanity. He can’t ruin my day but gave me a very bad experience when I went for a pick up. Shame on you!

What can I say about the best burger in Canada?

From my childhood, during in to an A&W drive in, turning on the headlights to be served to walking into any number of neighborhood locations. The quality of delicious food and amazing service has never changed.

This is the epitome of burgers at their best, none other comes close.

Went to the public family washroom with someone else and then got yelled at, kicked out of the washroom by the owner. Was absolutely disrespectful, as I did nothing wrong, and it was a MUTLI GENDER FAMILY WASHROOM.

Amazing service! Great food thank you for being nice to customers.
Great response to the Covid 19

Horrible service. They screwed up my order and did nothing to rectify the mistake. I will be going to the Gerrard location from now on

So it's 8: 45 in the morning, and you forgot to make breakfast:) best thing to do, is head down to this restaurant and get yourself a bacon and egg Sandwich on a bun. I like to have it without the cheese because I find the cheese a little overwhelming at this place as the use very thick slices. However if you were a cheese lover you will be in heaven. This fast food joint is not only quick but cheap and has the same taste as a home made sandwich. I like to get myself a protein on the side to remember my comeback heritage:)

It’s very difficult to order and receive a kids meal when the staff does not know what is available. Very disappointing experience today.

Through skip the dishes last Saturday, Oct. 17th, 2020. Had the pappa burger combo on 7 grain bun.
The whole dinner was good. I like the grain bun much better. Thanks for great service everyone.

24 Hour A & W. Be still my heart. For fast food burgers, I'll take Teen burger and root beer any day. Accessible entrance, seating and bathroom. Interior is very clean, lots of seating for many or just for one. Watch the hustle and bustle of Broadview and Danforth as you eat.
Prices are the same as any place around. The staff have been very pleasant, every time I have been. Even at 4 an. While your there do as i did and pick up a 4 pack of their signature root beer for just under 8 bucks. Bye bye McDonalds there's a new and better burger place in town.

I am the regular customer a&w I’m going for using washroom But this The staff was Very rude Very unprofessional Customer service And I feel uncomfortable Is a customer

The staff working around when I do visit (around lunch time) is very polite, even during busy times.

Place is clean and the food was cooked perfectly. The server did short change me by 5 dollars but was corrected. Baby's first time having a chicken nugget was fun!

Great burgers made with fresh, local ingredients and with care. This location is quaint and comfy, well lit and cozy. We had two mozzas, two fresh cut (big) russet potato fries with root beer and blueberry pies for dessert. The staff member was very friendly and brought our food to our table with a smile. Very affordable food as well. The pies were excellent - not a jelly or jam, but whole, tasty blueberries. I absolutely love A&W.

Very slow staff, the worker totally forgot that i ordered something and i been waiting for more then 15 mins

Walls were littered with flies, food took 20 minutes. Service was friendly and food was hot and tasty though.

The staff is awesome here and the service is always fast. They run a very clean chain that is great for a quick meal. A&W's new smoked gouda Mama burger is fantastic for a fast food burger. The quality far exceeds the neighbouring McDonalds.

I attended the location the other day. The gentleman making the food did not use gloves on his hands and never washed them after seeing him pour coffee from a canister by the cash and then proceeded to handle the food he was making bare hands. Then he proceeded to the fridge pulling out handfuls of tomatoes again not wearing any gloves of any sorts. He then proceeded to make my burger on the counter that looked like it hadn't been washed all night. After seeing this I could not eat the food as the lack of cleanliness witnessed was rather nauseating. I will not go back to this location the way the food is handled and prepared someone is going to get sick.

My pregnant wife needed to use the washroom. It smelled so bad she was sick right in the hallway.

Side note the food was good

You place your order, find a seat and a server brings your order on a tray. It doesn't get terribly over crowded, but a steady flow of customers.

Staff and management are super friendly at this A&W. Really feels like family. A nice Ma and Pop kinda place. I've only met Pop though.

Came to this A&W after a concert. I really like the new A&W store front design and they use eco straws in the updated franchises. This was my first time seeing a fast food using composable straws which I was happy with using. Food was typical fast food and prices did not make it specifically memorable or would it make me come back unless I needed a 24hour place to eat at. Customer service was good and there was nothing to complain about.

I live in Danforth. I was coming here often. They always give me sauce for onion rings. Today they didn’t give me that sauce and when I asked she said we don’t have a sauce and then I said i know you have a sauce, she said it is for sweet potatoes. Is it a rule? Sauce just for potatoes? !

Great food but I went there this evening and the young man named Jeslin who took my order looked misersble. He did not say one word to me and made me feel like he didnt want to be there at all. He then did the exact same thing to the following customer after me. Maybe he should be the one cooking the food rather then dealing with customers. I wont be going back to this location.
