Told us to pull to side while preparing order and we waited over 30min and still no food, door was locked, food was cold when we went through drive through a second time

Running a little short staffed on this particular visit, so a bit of a wait to order. But once the order was in, they put it together quickly and I got out the door.

This is an amazing store, Everything is so fresh and tasty. The staff is so nice! Especially the guy with the turban and full beard. I would recommend giving him raise.

This review is more directed at a certain staff member at the Waterdown location. Our daughter was there to meet an old friend while home for Christmas. Unknown to her at the time she dropped her wallet in the parking lot, another customer picked it up and returned it to the store, A few hours later, on Christmas eve, a member of your team arrived at our door, to hand deliver it to her directly. We unfortunately we didn't get this young mans name, but I believe he was driving a black sedan. Going out of his way to make sure our daughter received her wallet back safely for the holidays before getting home to his own family was a very generous act. I don't think he truly understood the amount of trouble he saved my daughter, a lost driver's license, personal identification, debit and credit card replacement is a very time consuming and arduous task. Although we live in a different city, we will drive to Waterdown when we have a craving for our next papa and mama burger combo, Thanks again for going out of your way to help a complete stranger during the holidays, wishing you and your family all the best for the new year.

Who’s the genius who decide to put hot gravy over fries with cold cheese? All it does is cool the gravy yuck. He she must be making the big bucks

This location is aweful the staff are not friendly or even polite at all.always a long wait time and always mistakes.make sure you check you order before you leave!

I got an oder from your a&w at 7: 40 pm and your employ name naman was so rude and didn't served me order with precautions. She didn't have hairnet, hands were not washed, no napkins and burger taste awful.

It is pricey, but it is 24 hours.
It also has a lot of Vegetarian friendly options.
Really good onion rings. They also have environment friendly packaging.

Food and coupons always good.wush staff was a bit friendlier being in customer service position and being everyone needs a little extra sme right now.

Sustained good service over the last 1.5years - this location always gets orders right, and everything prepared properly. It's rare to see a fast food location with such consistency, this franchisee is doing something very right.

Beyond useless late-night staff. I tried calling to see if they were actually open and they just picked the phone up and left it off the hook. I could hear people talking and laughing in the background. Must be a hoot to get paid for doing nothing.

This is family owned venture. In regards to the other review - everyone speaks english fine, but depending who takes your order sometimes the accent is hard to understand through the drive-thru but it's no big deal.

The food is always hot and fresh, it's super clean inside, so there's really no reason to complain at all. Sometimes you have to wait an extra minute or two for your order but that's what it's like when you have fresh food. It's the same at any Harvey's as well. If you want cheap fast old patties then just go to McDonalds.

Only place open 24 hours which is their best niche, good fast food at any time.

This restaurant is terrible. I had to wait 10 mins for my food while they took other orders and served other people until the line was done. I was then waved over and had to go through the drive through again to get my food. On top of that, the quality of my food was poor and was not handled properly during this pandemic. I'm definitely not impressed especially when you're paying 30 dollars for two combos.

But your staff is incapable of following SIMPLE instructions. You literally serve FAST FOOD
And you manage to mess it up everytime I go there. So I'm done.

Usually good food but please get your SkiptheDishes orders right. Not sure who's orders we keep getting but SkiptheDishes doesn't reimburse us enough to compensate for the mix-ups of not getting our food in the end (despite a re-order attempt tonight). Tonight we got another completely different order and it was a couple of BS pies. Finally had to go online and write about it. This is my first time writing a review ever. Order was placed at April 19,2021 at 12: 10am. Fire that staff. Not that hard. Good luck. See you next time.

Please do NOT put your fingers over the lid of my coffee cup where I have to drink out of. Be more mindful of where and what you touch.

Poor service at drive thru. Been there 3x and have got the order for 2 incorrect. Then rude when you have to go bk in to get it corrected. By then other food is cold. Not customer friendly. Food was cold but just ok. Upr James loc is better, gets orders right and are friendly. But we live in the Waterdown area.

We met with friends at this place for dinner.we heard about this restaurant from quite a few people. Well, it was very nice. The staff members welcomed us with a smile and we felt very good. The meal was yummy. We had a great time and we will definitely return to this restaurant. Warmly recommended.

They dont listen to instructions. Always put bacon in my food when i ask for them to not put bacon. So disappointed since i already came home and now cant eat it

We had a quick lunch at Dundas St.in Waterdown with A&W and we specially ordered it and the meal was perfect! We'll be back!

First time I’ve ever been to a fast food restaurant where they had issues swapping out a coffees on a coupon for an alternative breakfast drink, despite being able to do it the last time I went there.

Not good at all.

Went to the drive-thru and asked the lady if there were any specials going on right now and she said NO. I said OK and ordered just the teen burger.

As I drove out I noticed the sign "Limited Time Offer Truffle Mozzarella" Really? !? Are the staff not told of these things or to promote it? I forgot how expensive A&W burgers are too. I'd rather grab 2 burgers at McD's for under $5 before eating here again.

I am a huge fan of their breakfast and of course you have to get it on the hamburger bun because it's nothing like anywhere else is! Oh and your apple pies are obviously very unhealthy and greasy but if you're eating at A&w anyhow I'm going to go as I'm throwing the health factor out the window and I'm going to go all in and order myself two of those luscious deep fried apple pies and feel no shame about it. So freaking good!

Cold fries, cold chicken, forgot an item and had to go back. Had to park and wait 10 minutes going through drive through with no one else in line or inside. Just terrible.

The service was super slow. It took 16 minutes for breakfast. The worker was not very polite, made me park in a spot to keep his time down and walk back to the windie to get my food.

M not saying all staff bad some ppl r good over there but once a girl argued about order still that time we stopped going over there

Clean, fast and courteous service.
Lots of parking.
Grab a bite and then plenty of areas on the same road for shopping and dropping the kids off to do things.
Just down the road from Harry Howell arena so if you need a quick bite.

This A&W give me day old chicken and I’ve called them 2, they were rude to me told me it was fresh but it wasn’t because now I’m sick from eating there

Soo. Soo yummy.was out west and they had Bison burgers in Alberta.
On our way back from Owen sound Ontario we stoped and had a beyond meat burger and it was great!

AW is hitting modern fast food out of the park. Healthier choices. WiFi. Recycling stations. Folks are nice at all the ones I have attended as an official plant based burgermeister

My go to in a hurry! Always get The Beyond Meat Burger with no cheese and no uncle sauce or mayo. Extra tomato is free! I am thrilled to have this satisfying choice available to me when I’m planned my time wrong and I’ll in a hurry.

Excellent service. I loved their beyond meat burger. By far the best veggie burger you can have in restaurant chains. I personally liked A&W fries more than Mc Donalds. You could also try their crispy onion rings if you don't mind the oil.

The price is wrong.
The fault is all mine for going back so often, this place never gets the price right on coupons or combos. Food is also not at the level of other A&Ws.

Mushroom burgers were great, glad they are back. Service was a little slow, I had to remind them what I ordered. All in all par for the course of a fast food joint. Interior was lovely and clean.

Super slow location. Waited a while for beyond meat burgers on drive thru. I did go in to the washroom while waiting and it was nice and clean but still was slow and looked not interested in working. The food tasted on par with other locations but more expensive, that sucks.

The cod burger was good. Breading is crisp and thin. Coleslaw is a nice combo.
Couldn't sit at a booth. They were all pretty messy.

You can clearly see they are ripping there bacon in half to rip off costumers. 2 teen burgers I got had the same amount of bacon as 1 bbc.co from websites.

Good food. Tried the habanero chicken. It was good. Had a trainee take my semi picky order and he did a good job. They seem to do a good job listening to people's orders at A&W.

Very nice interior concept, but disorganized, tends to be empty when I'm there and there's a drive through, so you can get that great a&w food as soon as you want it.

This A&W is hands down the most inconsistent and slow A&W I have gone to. They keep messing my orders up (at 2am, with no line, this is kind of unacceptable), and the wait is often ridiculous if there is a line up. Every time the order has been incorrect, I have had issues dealing with the staff in person: they are rather rude and condescending, and unlike any other fast food restaurant, I often spend over 20 minutes trying to get my order when I just got off work. Sadly, it's one of 2 places open and within a reasonable drive on my way home.

I strongly do not recommend unless out of all other options.

EDIT: I was contacted by the staff and was genuinely apologized to and was offered to receive the same combo for free next time I come back. I would have preferred a gift card or credit as its not a normal A&W I go to but I'm happy I was repaid for the error.
Smashed, leaky cups, unseasoned burgers, and blatantly RAW BACON on my burger. I will be contacting head office as the phone number for this place is not in service, I have also sent A&W messages on social media sites. After sitting in the drive through for 10 minutes (Which honestly is normal for me at this point because I usually love A&W and know its worth the wait) and paying $30 for two burger combos, I was expecting my regular A&W and after taking a few bites out of my burger I realized it didn't taste very good. Opened it up to find white raw bacon, looked like someone just took it out of the package and threw it on the burger without cooking it. Patties were overcooked and not seasoned at all. Will never come back to this location again.

Very odd that their drive through window is one big glass wall. Can see all the trash and stale fries on the floor that have piled up all day. Been 3 times, order has been wrong every time. No point in going through the drive through when you have to go in and complain a few minutes later. Only up side is it is the only 24 hour place in Waterdown. However, save your money, wait for something to open in the morning.
