Complete garbage I’ve ordered numerous times from here and ever time I get the wrong order

I really like the onion rings and their beyond meat burger.
Also i love the behaviour of cashier. So I ened up asking her name.and she is shweta. A girl with a cute smile greeting all the time.really like the services.special thanks to shweta.

Especially, Shweta and her crew! Have been visiting the store for quite a while. Feels like home.

During the day, this A&W has been one of the nicest I’ve been to. However, the early morning team is sadly really slacking. Charging me for a drink, then giving me a Root Beer that happens to be free on that day, refusing access to my service dog, … the list goes on. Enjoy an amazing service during the day, but don’t bother to show up during the night!

It was my 1st back in Canada in over 3 years and one of the restaurant I missed was A&W. I was not disappointed. Baby burger was awesome as well the onion rings. I will def be coming back before i head back home.

The food was great as usual, place was really clean and the service was pleasant. I read the reviews and wanted to go here from time because the Dufferin and Bloor location has a big issue with people with mental and drug problem going in there that I can only go there for take out or don’t go there at all for safety reasons. I will be returning to this Christie location. Picture that I took that was on their wall.

Mfs never wear gloves. Always scratching their nasty heads and making food the same way. This a&w is right next door but I avoid it for this sole reason.

Shweta was fantastic - Food was amazing and customer service was homely and nice. Super nice staff, nice atmosphere, lots of charging ports and always consistent food.

This place used to be awesome!
Now they’re kind a like McDonald’s, where they make the hamburgers and let them sit under a heat lamp.
They sit there waiting for the next customer to order & they do this, so that there is no wait time. I don’t understand because there’s never a wait time. Place is always empty This is not a highly recommended A&W now Because of what they are doing.

What happened to this place? When it first opened, they were happy, kind, made sure their orders were right…. Now this location is a disaster!
I just ordered combos, she asked me which drinks I wanted, when I asked where the drinks that I ordered were, she told me drinks were not included, and I had to pay extra fries. What? Nope. Will go across the street to Popeye or into another neighborhood for A&W, as this isn’t the first time I have very specifically asked for fries and drink it gets messed up. It’s like she is being inconvenienced by working or more especially- fixing the order she made a mistake on!

Ever had a buddy burger with onions Vs grilled onions? No? Come to this location. They’ll substitute without letting you know. So if you like surprises, inconsistency, lack of customer service, and curmudgeons, this is your place to be!

An ok A&W when it's slow here. They take serious short cuts when it's busy. Somehow my fries were actually colder than room temperature. Couldn't really do anything about it since I'd have to wait a long time again for a replacement. Seemed understaffed so likely a corporate problem not the poor stressed employees.

24 hour service? Came one morning at 5: 45 for breakfast and I was told by an employee that breakfast isn’t till 7 am …. Came back another two times and coincidentally they’re always cleaning and the grill isn’t hot enough to cook anything but every other a&w in the area doesn’t have these issues

Came by for breakfast service on a Saturday morning.
The coffee machine was broken (not sure if actually broken or the employee didn't know how to use it). Ordered 2 orange juices and both cups were just filled with undiluted syrup - undrinkable and definitely a supply waste for the store.
Tried calling to give the employee a heads-up, but nobody picked up despite the lace being empty.

Every single time I go to this place, they aren’t making anything but fries. It’s a joke, don’t bother going here if you want food

Great place for teen burgers and fries and root beer. The sweet potato fries and Chipotle sauce are wonderful as well.

Placed my order and sat down at a table waiting for it to be prepped by night staff, after waiting for 10 mins I walked up to the cashier to see what was taking so long being I was the only person at this location, the guy wasn’t in kitchen but I figured he was probably waiting for the burger to cook, after a while the guy appeared from the back and seemed surprise I was waiting for my burger? He proceeded to prep the burger with no gloves and placed tomatoes on there which i had asked for no tomatoes, on top of that the burger was cold so clearly he wasn’t waiting for patty’s to cook while he was doing who knows what in the back. I’ve been to anw’s all over Canada as I travel a lot and this has been hands down the worst experience I have ever had with anw.

1 guy taking care of morning shift. I guess management is a bit cheap but kudos to him for working hard. What impressed me is honesty what they say about their burger

I like going to A&W for their all day breakfast. Not sure why this A&W had paper plates and plastic utensils, super uncomfortable to eat with. They usually have plates and real forks. Didnt get the frosty mug as well. Not sure if they're cutting down on washing plates? The breakfast was cold and sausages under cooked. Never coming back.

None of the staff wore a mask despite the sign reassuring that all staff did so. The cashier who took our order coughed into her hand while serving us, and continued coughing while preparing our order.

So friendly and such a wonderful team. They were so welcoming and patient with my kids and the fries were great as per usual!

So friendly space to eat in, customize however you wish to have it without no question, i love this place

**QUESTIONABLE HYGIENE AND DISGRUNTLED STAFF WITH ATTITUDE**

**WATCH CLOSELY TO FOOD SAFETY WHEN STAFF ARE MAKING YOUR FOOD! **

I live in the neighbourhood so I frequently come to this location and the one near Bloor and Bathurst.

Food is always fine, perfectly cooked all the time. However, as a certified food handler, I have observed many times that the staff at this location were not paying enough attention on food safety. Most of the staff would admit and correct their mistakes and be at least open to the opinion

Jeslin, however, who I have seen working in night shifts before, is always the one who will not listen. Me and him got into some heated conversations twice due to his ignorance to food safety and attitudes. Once was back in Oct 27,2020 and the latest episode was today (Apr 24,2022).

Today, I went in at 7: 30am for 2 Sausage and Egg Muffin combo. First I waited for at least 5 minutes, no one was aware that I was waiting. Then Jeslin finally came to take my order. Shockingly, he proceeded to fill my drinks and was about to prepare my food after he touching the Point-of-sale system WITHOUT WASHIING HIS HANDS THOROUGHLY WITH SOAP. This happened exactly the same as the episode in 2020. Then I asked nicely that he paid attention to food safety and most importantly, to wash his hand before touching any food related items. He then immediately turned into a different person, angry, disgruntled, in total denial. First, he claimed that the items that he touched with his unwashed hands was for Uber Eats but I did not see any Uber Deliverer nor orders shown. So he was lying that it wasn't for me. Then he started yelling at me saying it was my fault. While in total denial, he claimed that he had worked in A&W for 4 years so he would never be fired as he was friends with coworkers and managers. He claimed that he did not have an attitude and he never had one. He also threatened me that I could never come back to the store, and if I come, I would be refused services. The arguments lasted for about 10 minutes while there were other customers there, delaying their time to get their food. I did not trust Jeslin making my food, therefore I asked his nice, well-mannered coworker to make it instead.

In my opinion, Jeslin, who pays no attentions to food safety, who also could not handle any constructive criticism and always be in denial, should be immediately fired from this location due to the attitude. Last time, owner even told me about Jeslin's bad attitudes. I do not understand why they would still keep Jeslin around.

The new girl on the cash is useless. She misses up every order. Food was cold and I was given the wrong items. Even after she repeated it back to me.

Terrible service and food at this location. I am actually happy this is the only fast food in my neighbourhood because it helped me stop eating it. Onion rings look like they stomped on them. Regularly tell me they won't make menu items.

Really brutal a&w. Service is the worst. Always so slow, most of the time the staff is hanging out in the back and not helping whoever is left up front. Also the staff will just turn down making menu items because they don't want to do it (like most breakfast items, regardless of the time of day). Tonight I got told that anything I want to order would take at least 20 minutes, and there is no one else here

I appreciate the 24 hour service however it seems to lack consistency compared to other locations.

Service is quick and speedy while the cashier was very informed.

Though my burgers we edible, I found the patty to be dry and charred on the outside. The onion rings had an odd taste. Other than that, packaging kept both of them presentable in the bag.

Food quality is always great. It was very slow. It took almost 20 min to get my phone because there was only one person working the food and cash.

Ordered through Uber eats. Unfortunately, the entire order was inedible due to the flavour of expired, rancid frying oil. I usually really enjoy A&W but this experience has put me off for a while

Very tasty hamburgers and fries, fresh and delicious, service really fast and friendly, just missing the drive thru service.

A pretty clean location that is open late - very helpful to grab a snack after a night out on the town!

Dissapointed. Fries were not fresh & burger came with just patty. No condiments. You had 1 job.

The food at this location was alright, but I couldn't believe they made my food without gloves. I saw them touch fridge handles, fryer handles and all types of stuff, then go back to making burgers, touching every single component. Mine was already made before realizing otherwise I'd have refunded. Avoid this place if this stuff bugs you.
