Better quality breakfast ingredients than Tim's, of course a small protion pricier.
This restaurant is clean and modern, and staff very friendly as other A&W locations.

Their pop machine was apparently out of order, so we had to pay extra for a drink with a combo meal. The lack of understanding was extremely poor. I reported them to their head office to give them a chance to redeem themselves and never heard one word back.

One of the best A&W that I have ever been to. The washroom is clean, the dinning area is also clean and bright, the staffs are friendly, the food is served quickly with decent taste.

I’ve always found it to be superrr slow here but maybe it was bad timing. My other issue is that the parking lot is very poorly laid out and adds to the congestion

This is a 24 hours location, but doesn’t operate 24 hours, they conveniently place a garbage bin on the drive thru and close all the doors and windows

Poutine or gravy soup? It was a sad excuse for a dining experience. Regards less of it being fast food. Do better.

After standing at the counter for 20 minutes watching staff walk by avoiding eye contact, gave up and left.

Mama burgers and onion rings for my folks along with strawberry shakes they were happy kids!

Stopped in at 7: 30 this morning to grab a breakfast for myself and a friend on our way to Toronto. No other customers in the restaurant. A lady in the back kept looking at us without even acknowledging us. Overheard her say to a young lady there were customers up front. She came up front. No eye contact and began serving a drive thru order. Completed that and still no service. Walked out and went to McDonalds (in and out in 3 minutes with a smile!) Won't be returning.

Fantastic location for burgers & fries.extremely tidy and clean location crowded, but the team has handled it superbly.

Enjoyed a great breakfast, limited seating inside due to Co-Vid but there is also outdoor seating, Food was good and staff were friendly,

Ever want to eat a burger and fries make sure you order it at 9am, both fries and burgers were hot and super fresh. Was as good as it could get for a fast food chain, takes a little longer but def worth the wait.

Drive Thru is a little slow sometimes, however, the food is always fresh and hot, and the Team Members are always pretty friendly.

Really appreciate how A&W is more environmentally and sustainably conscious than other fast food restaurants. From the paper straws to the vegan products to the non-processed cheese, I never mind paying a little bit more to support their efforts. Service is always friendly at the Grimsby location. They even gave my dog a treat on his birthday. He was thrilled-thanks, A&W!

Really feel sorry for the staff. Customer after me asking if the chicken in the sandwich is real.and complaining about how only the drink is discounted in a combo.

My service and food were excellent.

At my first visit my fries smelled like bleach and tasted really of. Next time when I came back I had sweet potato fries it was pretty good but they forgot the dip that comes with it. I felt very rushed even though there were no one else in the store or drive thoug.

Coming home, We look at the coupons and saw a nice 2 teen combo for 14$. Feeling good with that deal we roll up to the a/wubs and saw that ad. Nashville hot chicken.

And just like that we go from a 14$ meal to a 28$ meal as we both got it, one with onion rings diet root beer and othrr with fries and root beer.

Roll up to pay. Get the root beers and was told which was which. - pay - get the bag - rolled into a parking spot and pulled out the glorious Nashville hot chicken. -que photo-

Chicken looks good. Not too saucy. Took one bite of the overhang chicken. Tasted like normal chicken.
Current mood: confused.
Where was this Nashville hot chicken I thought to myself.
I take a few more bites and there was the sauce, a thin layer on the bottom bun.
Current mood: wish I saved 14$ and got myself the teen burgers.

Chicken was good. But nothing Nashville about it. If they called it a spicy chicken sandwich I would have been happier with it.

The chicken was good. Better than Wendy's chicken and much better than McDonald's (do then even have real chicken). Now to compare to Popeyes hot chicken sandwich it's a toss up for 2 reasons. One it was a year go i had it, two i love their fries the best.
I wouldn't order it again by itself but if it was on the coupon deals I would consider it.

After sitting in the drive thru for 27 minutes, finally got to order just to be told they were out of our order.horrible.

Great and delicious food, I liked the atmosphere the place has, and the staff members were kind. I will surely visit here when I’m around.

The wait in the drive thru seemed to take forever, especially when we were at the window and already had paid. However the food was piping hot when we go it, so maybe it was just for preparing the fresh food. Poutine was delicious!

Over priced for the quality of food. Chicken burger was OK.better at Wendy's and other fast food places. Baby burger was not good at all!

Food was Okay. We ordered the new spicy Nashville chicken. $27 later!

Excellent morning drive thru service. Very professional, courteous, and clean. An absolute pleasure to visit whenever I'm in the area.

Very clean, super friendly staff, good food. Only issue is the drive through being right next to star bucks. The parking lot gets super congested due to the star bucks drive through

We just passed by Wednesday and saw this location and decided to grab a quick lunch.
Wow! Never had an A&W food so hot and fresh. Fries, Onion Rings and chubby chicken sandwiches were spot on. Staff at the window was friendly too.

Worst customer service.bunch of kids messing around not listening to my orders. Laughing and joking the whole drive thru service which was 25 min

The staff working here are either incompetent, ignorant or both. They can never get the simplest orders made right. Often times I have to return back to the location in order to get them to remake it or I just throw end up throwing out the out the incorrectly made order and end up eating the cost of the meal. Make sure your employees are educated enough to at least listen when people speak!

A & W high quality food. There ingredients are better than any fast food place. So for food QUALITY I rate them a 5 STAR. Then why do I give them a three? Well beneath all that good food are some policies that are low quality business practices.

So order a large diet Root Beer, well they only sell one regular size. That’s okay if your eating in as you can get a free refill or two, but when I’m on the road I like a drink to hold me through for several hours and the regular dose not cut the mustard.

Today for the first time I ordered their COD sandwich. Well I’m not crazy about the toppings they put on it so I order it the way I like it sliced tomatoes and mayo. Mmm Mmm fantastic COD, delicious, but 0.29 for tomato. So I ask why are they changing me for tomato while at the same time not giving me a discount for the 3 items I had them removed. So well she made a reason. Not a good argument.

Too the point I ordered no coleslaw that’s a substantial ingredient, knock off some money for that. Well it’s there policy to change extra when they can but discount nothing you removed. Well McDonalds has the same not so smart policy. With McDonald hold the cheese no discount but charge for the tomato.

I must say the when I told the teller I will pay for the tomato but be warned I will go online and complain she gave me the tomato for no charge. By the way Burger King has a nice fish sandwich and they will pile on the tomato for no charge and the sandwich is almost half the cost.

One more thing, change the bun! Two sticks of fish don’t sit well on a round bun.

Please realize though that I like A&W I just wish that I LOVED them. So I offer these words of constructive criticism.

Just drove off the highway to grab a bite, and ordered the Wild Cod sandwich. Surprisingly good with the coleslaw on top (so obviously good, but haven't seen it before in fast food places).
Service attentive and fast, and fries & rootbeer fabulous as always.
I'll be back when I'm this way again!

Amazing fast service. My order was ready as I was paying for 2 burgers and fries. Well made burger with care to making it looking like you'd see in the ads. Unlike some competitors who slap the toppings on.the food is presented in quality. Staff very friendly and courteous. They kindly offer to replace my beyond meat burger without Mayonnaise which I received with at no charge. Too bad this location is so far away from home, but will definitely come back when I'm in the area again. Check them out:)

Food is good, consistent with other A&W's, I don't appreciate being told, not asked to rate them. Especially when they then give me the wrong order twice. Everything was fixed and I've been back since.

My favourite place to go for lunch! Always fast service. I've only ever been let down my onion rings once or twice. Best fast food burgers out there, hands down!

Freezing cold A&W Rootbeer out of a huge glass mug, with a sheet of ice on the glass of the mug in the hot May sun! I literally went into a Rootbeer trance as I stared off into the distance wondering if Willie Wonka and the Oompa Loompa's could make better Rootbeer? Doubtful.

Nothing is better than fresh A&W Rootbeer as though it were drawn right from a FRESH Rootbeer Spring! If A&W didn't invent rootbeer, they certainly perfected the right taste. Honestly, a dehydrated desert camel would first drink A&W rootbeer over water. Its that good!
I hold the ice cold mug to my cheek and imagine myself loping along in the Arabian desert astride my ever-so-loyal-camel. We are so dehydrated that our tongues are purple.
"Your tongue isn't more purple than mine" I say to my trusty desert camel.
Lo and behold a mirage of indescribable beauty begins to take shape and before a camel can spit, we are at the entrance of the Grimsby, Ontariou A&W! I dismount from the camel and ever so carefully, lead her into the A&W with me as we enjoy a drafty, ICE COLD Rootbeer that's out of this world. A&W is the best!

I loved the rootbeer and envrionment of this A&W so much, I almost asked if I could wash the dishes so I could never be too far away from the best Rootbeer in Ontario. The Rootbeer, food and environment were so pleasant, I almost cancelled our plans to Niagara for the day so we could hang out at this A&W and enjoy the amazing food and Rootbeer.

Crying children? None here, because the kids enjoy their burgers and rootbeer so much!
Problem Teenager? Not anymore, just invite them to A&W and serve some ice cold Rootbeer and talk about the goodtimes while enjoying amazing food!
Difficult Boss? Serve him their amazing cheeseburgers and and their amazing rootbeer and wait for it. "So, you asked for a raise? I think we can work something out" as he drinks another huge gulp of rootbeer and leaves a nice drafty rootbeer mustache on his face.

Tried the bistro Uncle burger. A little bit messy but really good. The service at this A&W was better than most of the other ones I have visited.

The staff at this store are great. Always doing their best to provide good, clean place and quick service.

Food was fast, fresh and delicious. The service was fantastic. A big thank you to manager Melvin for fixing the order I messed up. It's soo much fun to go into a fast-food place with a ton of kids, right? They all want something different! Aaaargh lol

Like most A&W, there is a drive-through. Of course their root beer (if you are dining in) is served in a chilled glass mug). The restaurant is very clean and bright.

The staff is friendly and the food comes out very quickly. The food is fresh! I had the Mozza Burger (a Teen burger with mozzarella instead of cheddar cheese) which has two large thick and crispy lettuce, a large fresh slice of tomato, a slice of mozzarella cheese, 2 large slices of tasty bacon, and one beef patty). I loved It!

Their onion rings have a nice crispy layer of thick batter, better than those cheap thin batter. Their fries are slightly thicker than McDonald's fries so you can actually taste the potato inside.

If you need to use a straw, they use 100% comfortable straws, made mainly from paper rather than plastic.

Tip: Sign up using their mobile app or on their website and you will be offered with many coupons. We used the Mozza Burger Combo for $12.99 which includes 2 Mozza burgers, 2 fries, and 2 drinks. We upgraded one of the fries to onion rings for an extra $1.39 (well worth It!).

Aside from the typical male and female washrooms, they have a large family washroom. They keep it rather warm in there is which is great if you have to change a diaper, meaning the baby won't feel cold.

There is free WiFi.

The only negative thing is that the restaurant is cold so coats must be kept on, even though it was around +1C outdoors.

The Beyond Meat burger is delicious. I love getting my beverage in a frozen mug and having my fries in a basket when I eat in the restaurant. It's pricey but worth it. I find the onion rings too salty and not very good, stick with the fries.

Consistently the best A&W! I visit regularly and the food is always great, hot, fresh.the staff are the friendliest.and it's always immaculately clean! Keep up the great work!

10/10 everytime. We always go through the drive-thru and it's always quick and staff courteous. One time they gave me free fries because they forgot to make one of my burgers a combo. Love this location and always come back!

I had the mama burger and it was truly delicious it's not my normal order as I usually go for the team Burger but I was pleasantly surprised with the mama Burger. Everything was very fresh juicy and delicious. The service was fast as well.

Under new management and new look it has lots of things to offer, from food to good customers service.

Always there for me at any hour, useful at 4am when coming home from a night shift and I'm ravenous. Massively obscene prices unfortunately.

Turned down electronic coupon (as per printed sign on register), yet every other location that I've been to accepts them.

The Cod burger is an excellent choice. Nice change from the other fast food choices. Chips were piping hot and the frosted glass a nice treat. The counter staff were excellent.

Good service, really good burger. The root beer float could've been better - too much drink and not enough ice cream. Still tasted good though.

I really like A&W in general. The service however at this location was not that great. Cashier was not abel to accept that she made several misstakes on our order.

Food was great. But the high pitched beeping from the fryer alarm was going off like every minute and it was super noisy. I tracked the sound level using my phone. 60dB going up to as high as 70 at times. See attached. Very annoying, esp since I was here for 3.5 hours working, and I had to leave because I was worried sound making me tense

Consistently great quality food, very friendly staff and excellent cleanliness. It's always a pleasure to visit this location. Great experience every time I've been.
