My closing experience was terrible. The administrative clerks - great people. However, completely different situation with the lawyer. The lawyer (Shraya Patel) was very unprofessional and potentially cost me tens of thousands in lost opportunity. I had to reach out myself to confirm/check on multiple stages of the process, remind of incoming deadlines and had to constantly reach out to the lawyer to address a critical and time sensitive issue. Despite the urgency of the issue, I haven't received a phone call or any communication indicating that my lawyer is there to help. Eventually I was able to schedule a call after asking for one multiple times, missing time that was much needed. In the end, the issue was not resolved, legal advice was not provided until the very end of closing (less than 24 hrs), leaving me with no time to consult with another lawyer. This experience had left me extremely disappointed with Axess Law.

Sonya and the team at Axess Law were fantastic and at a very reasonable price! She was available for calls or emails at any time, and the replies to questions we had were received at record speed. They provided us with all the necessary information, and made the moving process smooth and easy! I know we will definitely be using their services again in the future and would highly recommend for anyone looking!

Hi, i am very thankful to axess law that they help me notarized my documents in such a difficult situation of COVID-19. Sonia dosanjh is my notary lawyer and she is very nice and polite. Axess law service is very good and fast. I am very very much satisfied with their service.

I made an appointment to have a notary signature for a will I had received, after seeing that was one of their services advertised. I made the appointment Tuesday night for Thursday morning, and received a call at 9: 30 am Wednesday morning wondering why I had not uploaded the documents yet for the next day-also asked what it was for. I explained what I needed a notary for (which I also specified when making the appointment) -no problems stated at that time. After uploading the documents shortly after the first phone call, I received a call again at 4: 30 pm, telling me this was not a service they could offer, as I would need a lawyer. I expressed confusion, as it was something they advertised, and were they not a law firm? The same person who had called, seemed flustered, and could not explain why I needed a lawyer, or why they were not what was advertised. I booked a different notary service (who was not a lawyer by trade), and the document was done. It was a very weird experience. Perhaps there needs to be better communication within the company? It made me feel like I was dealing with a scam.

Great experience, professional, knowledgable and pleasant staff, they guide you through a simplified process and explain everything. I definitely recommend them and will return again for future business.

I was warned about using this company and unfortunately I didn’t take the advice.

I had a very unsatisfactory experience with the clerks.
There were so many mistakes made ranging from, repeated requests for information I already sent, repeated questions, one clerk was pretty rude when I couldn’t make a closing appointment at the time he saw fit.

They spelled my name wrong in the legal documents and I found out during the signing meeting, I sent my I’d week’s before and a amendment was sent by my agent to correct the spelling of my name weeks before as well.

They sent a wire transfer to my bank which doesn’t offer that service. I asked more than once if my void check was acceptable even during the virtual signing appointment.

I had to call Mai and inform her of this. (That’s not my responsibility) Mai’s response was it happened to us too and we did this before without problems. I said, there should have been a follow up call with your bank to make sure the transfer went through before you charged me and now I’m making calls to find out what’s going on!

I said it doesn’t matter what you did before, what matters is what you do now and what I’m paying you for and do it correctly please! She was very defensive and unapologetic.

They don’t tell you about wire transfer fees until the last min. You are led to believe you have options with regards to getting your sale proceeds. At the signing I opted out of a courier but I had no idea of what was going to happen next!

It was all too much and in the end it was sorted out but who needs the incompetence and no apology was made in the end.

Also, after all this they still charged me $20 to certify a check for direct deposit in my bank account. I told Shang, at this point I should not be charged anything. I told her right from our first correspondence what kind of experience I was having and back then she was sorry. Not anymore! She was not apologetic at all.
She said we are doing are best to do business as usual during this pandemic and so on. I said, SO AM I!
My business affairs are just as important and this transaction mistake was a huge inconvenience for me.

I strongly suggest you save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere.

The understanding, intelligence, capability, professionalism and kindness provided by Sonia overwhelmingly exceeded my expectations. It was a pleasure collaborating with her to get my last will completed.

I found everyone we spoke to at Axess Law to be friendly and responsive and they even honored a price match. The reason they are only getting 3 stars is I felt their was a lack of attention to detail, a few mistakes made which resulted in me having to resign some documents and even noticed on the statement that we were charged the incorrect price (not the price match which was agreed on). I did have to point out the error but it was promptly corrected so ultimately I was happy with that. As buying and selling a home is one of the biggest financial decisions, I just would have liked more attention to detail with our paperwork. Also since this was the first time we had ever done this a little more explanation on all the fees incurred would have been appreciated.

A great alternative to travelling to a lawyer's office, especially in view of Covid. The zoom meeting was still personal and professional. Will use this law firm again!

I wish I could give them 5 stars, but in our experience, there was a lack of due diligence which I feel is important when dealing with a home sale/purchase.

1. They spelled my name wrong a few times.
2. They had the wrong middle name for my wife, so she had to sign the forms again.
3. We were given the wrong forms to sign which had the wrong home deposit and now may lose our entire home line of credit (something that is very important to us). To be fair, this may be because the bank gave them the wrong forms, but I'm not 100% sure.

Overall, I think more care should be taken to ensure names and documents are correct.

I recently reached out to Axess Law for a quote on a real estate purchase. After leaving a message and not hearing from them for a week, I left another voice mail and finally had someone follow-up who took my info, and informed me that someone else will follow-up with me (unnecessarily complicated process). I was then told I would be sent a intake form with the prices, and the agent seemed more interested in sending me the email then answering my questions. Once I received it, I tried to call back, but the 1-877 number on the PDF did not work. I tried their online chat, no one answered, I tried emailed there person back and finally got a call right away. That said, I was very disappointed with the response. They like robots stated that they can only quote the flat rate fee, (typical lawyer), rather then inform and provide some insights, they were not willing to provide any additional info. I asked to confirm the information that was on the sheet, and was told that "well its all on the sheet". The whole exchange seemed defensive and unwelcoming. This is in comparison to another law office I called, who took the time to speak with me, answer ALL fee related questions, stating, that while some fees we don't control, typically then can range from $xxx to $xxx, but we won't know what they are until the transaction occurs".

I was VERY disappointed with the experience with Axess Law, and frankly, based on my math, they would have saved me $224 but considering the experience, I much rather pay someone who is interested in being helpful, not defensive. This is exactly why lawyers get a bad reputation.

Has personal will and power of attorney drafted up via web session. The session technically worked perfect and the person helping me was very knowledgeable and supportive. Had to notarize at one of their offices and again, really easy and good experience.

I had only intended to use them for my will, but would absolutely consider for future legal work.

Very efficient, convenient and affordable services. We had a virtual appt with Walter who was highly knowledgeable and explained everything so clearly. He was funny too which was a bonus. Would definitely use them again for other services.

If you have another option, I would stay away. We used them to do both our sale and purchase, and it could not have been more unorganized and unprofessional. Little to no communication until the last minute. We were lucky to have closed on time. Not to mention we are still cleaning up loose ends in our new place that are a result of mismanagement during signing. Yes, I only leave reviews when something goes wrong. This process was very wrong.

I have hired many real estate lawyers over the years in dealing with my real estate transactions. When I was new to Canada 20 years ago, I hired lawyers all from my ethnic backgrounds because then, I didn’t know much about it, so I just used ones whoever real estate agent referred me. And over the years, I have learned from my personal and friends’ experience that you likely have very different experience with the lawyers you hire.

I recently need to purchase a pre-construction condo, which is something new to me. I need a lawyer who is good at review pre-construction documents.

After intense research, asking around, and talking to many different law firms on the phone, I decided to work with Axess Law. And I had great experience with them. From call taker, law clerk to lawyer, they really know what they are doing, and save me so much time and give me peace of mind. The firm provides you very clear fee structure via email; the rate is very reasonable. Form comparison, I have realized that a few lawyers I dealt had billing issues; most were family own business (no law clerk but family members without license in dealing with billing or certain procedures, which is very unprofessional; the reason they could get away from it was because people who are new to the country, don’t speak English and knew nothing about it.

This time, I am very impressed with my lawyer Mr. Jasmeet Ajrawat and law clerk Aashi. They really know what they are doing; they care about you; they have great people skills.

Mr. Ajrawat got my file was in the afternoon of the 7th day of my cooling period. He finished the reviewing and wrote me a detailed and comprehensive email on the same day at 8: 30pm. Due to my email’s issue (went to Junk folder), I didn’t receive it until the 9th day. I emailed him and called him. He was in meetings the whole day, but called me back in between the meetings. He discussed with me and made suggestions. He worked on a letter to send to the developers on my behalf at 8: 44pm the same day! After that, he interacted with the developer to best protect my interests, meanwhile, communicated with me to explain to me. After the deal firmed, he even emailed me to see if I have further questions and requests. As I mentioned, I hired lawyers multiple times, but he is just outstanding! He is very knowledgeable and proficient in the field, has great communication skills and, very caring - you don’t feel you are talking to a lawyer; you feel a friend is trying to help you out.

I also had great experience with Law clerk Aashi. She is very efficient and caring. On the 9th day, she knew that my cooling period was almost due, she gave me her personal cellphone in the evening in case I couldn’t get in touch with her from office.

They never met me; they are professionals from a big law firm in downtown Toronto; they have numerous clients every day.

In addition that they are really good at what they do, they really care! Not to mention for the rate they charge.you really get the best service ever!

I used this Law Firm for their notary public services. Given the social distancing required for COVID-19, their service was provided online in a virtual environment with digital completion of forms and application of signatures. It was surprisingly easy, effective and convenient.

I notarized a document online with this company and I was so impressed with the technology that they used I order to sign the documents remotely, everything was so clear and quick. I really recommend them.

Firstly mis-leading information was provided by the "senior clerk (Patricia) ".
Secondly the lawyers "Shangami" even after receiving the funds in advance delayed the process by not paying the seller's solicitor in time due to which we had to post-pone/ extend all our rental of truck as well as our temporary accommodation not only that but we also had to compromise on the closing condition because of the lawyer's fault. More importantly the lawyer admitted that the extension charges of both truck and accommodation would be upon them over the phone. Now they are even ignoring the e-mails and not willing to reply, which says a lot about them as a company/ firm.
Be wise and go by honest reviews.

The service was both professional and thorough. The process was easy and satisfied all my needs. The price was also very reasonable and the response to my inquiry was immediate.

My (lawyer) friend referred me to Axess. I've heard great things about them. I was interested in the online option. However, when I tried to explain to the receptionist that I have a disability and cannot be exposed to fragrances/chemicals in sanitizers, air fresheners, disinfectants, she said that the firm cannot accommodate me. I suggested that I could meet in-person outside of their building to sign the documents, but they said no. They insisted that meeting in person is a must, but I just found out from my friend that a new law was passed that allows witnessing remotely, via Zoom. I am not sure why they cannot accommodate a person who has a disability and why an in-person meeting is required. Disappointed.

Multiple confirmation and instruction emails guided us through the process. I was able to complete this process in three days during a pandemic.
