Axon took over an aging building that I've lived in for over a decade, the previous owner didn't do much when it came to upgrading, or repairs.
Since Axon has taken over they have been nothing but cordial and pleasant to communicate with, if I have a question they answer my email inquiries usually within a couple of hours.

They have made numerous upgrades and repairs to the building, some are structural, others are in line with Health and safety, I think they do their best to accommodate tenants.

I'm not disputing any of these negative reviews, and honestly the only negative I can mention (if you can call it that) is that Axon is constantly almost on a weekly basis sending emails about notice of entries or some other notice about maintenance.like I said, I don't know if that's a negative, maybe just slightly annoying but it's better to have what is required done.

I will agree that they could do a better job when it comes to the cleanliness of the properties they manage.however with that being said, I do understand that they can only do so much, and at some point the onus falls to the individuals that occupy the common areas, inside and out.

The team was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and responsive to all of my needs and concerns. I have lived in an Axon building for almost two years now, and it has genuinely been such an amazing experience. The company is very well-run, and you can tell all departments communicate really well. Any time I have a maintenance concern, it is addressed within a couple of days. The leasing team also does an amazing job at choosing good tenants/neighbours which has contributed to my above and beyond experience. I would 10/10 recommend this company for student renters, first-time renters, anyone really! They are kind, understanding, and take the time to explain their processes for everything. Thanks Axon!

Very busy management company who doesn’t even have time to respond the emergency helpline neither mails. They decide to do maintenance in the building without prior notice and we should suffer from loud noises we tried calling bt nobody responded again as if we do not have life, i wish i could record an audio n share here the amount of noise they are making. For the maintenance request, they do not respond, the house is stinky, the sewage n water supply line has opening in the master bedrooms wardrobe which is ridiculous, no exhaust in washroom which is mandatory according to governments rule also no exhaust in kitchen, feels like a spiders abide and laundry machine is money eater and has issues all the Time. I wish i knew all of this prior to renting this place.

Lived with them for an entire year had nothing but problems. They wouldn’t even replace one of the locks on our doors after we had multiple break ins into our front area. Horrible do not rent from them.

Axon has worked with us in an unpredictable situation and been very understanding about it. Ryan has been so great to work with. He responds quickly, is organized and always makes things work. He really goes above and beyond. He is so friendly and treated us in such a genuine way. Soo thankful to Ryan and Axon!

I recently was contracted by Axon Property Management to do some unit work and the experience was one of the most enjoyable work experiences I've had. The people are super friendly and the work atmosphere is easygoing! 10/10 company.

We went through the whole application process with this company giving all our personal info and doing a credit check. They approved us and sent us the next steps and a lease to sign with incorrect information on it. They mentioned they would correct it and send us a new copy. Before we got the new copy they sent a message saying the place was taken. Between approving us and retracting the lease they sent, it happened within a 20 hour period. I would avoid this property management company at all costs as they have no intent in looking out for your best interests.

Of the many many property management companies we worked with to get our place in Kingston, Axon was by far the most responsive and accommodating, their communication was fantastic. It can feel like a full time job trying to find a place to rent, especially in a university town, but they honestly made the process so much more human. We worked with Colin to find a place that suited our family needs, and he was fantastic, super easy to communicate with, and didn't make us feel like just another applicant going through the motions. Highly recommend, and thanks again.

Axon Property Management continues to impress me. Most recently, my son and his friend had experienced the repeated frustration and disappointment of missing out on several student rental properties. With the demand of finding a decent place to live on top of school and sports and everything else that goes with living on your own, it can be overwhelming. Our leasing agent, Colin was professional, quick to respond, honest in his responses and so helpful in offering advice and support. I cannot say enough about our appreciation in connecting with him and in dealing with the Axon Property Management Team. Listings are updated daily and communication with agents quick and professional. A wonderful experience in an otherwise stressful situation.

We were going to sign a lease on an apartment and asked to see the apartment asap, but they said that they can only do it on a certain day, so we waited for that day they said we can check out the property.

We waited outside for 30 minutes in the cold, waiting for Axon's property manager to come and show us the apartment, and no one showed up.

I emailed them, still waiting outside of the apartment, only to tell us that they rented it over the weekend and just forgot to tell us.

Extremely unprofessional is the tip of the iceberg of what I can describe this management.

But can I even call this a management when they can't even manage their own clients properly?

There's no doubt that many other property managements in Kingston are unprofessional like this, but I'm just here to say my dues after the events that occurred.

Mallory was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout the entire process of leasing a unit for the 23-24 year. She answered all our questions and the unit was better than the pictures! My sister and I are super excited to move in!

Such great service from Axon maintenance. When our washer was acting up we contacted them and the tech was here the next day to assess. Less than 3 days later a new washer was delivered and installed.
We had a cracked window pane in our front door.again contacted Megan Gravesande, Maintenence Coordinator at Axxon. She was immdediately helpful and arranged once again to have a window specialist come by to measure for new window. Next day he was there to install a new window unit with screen in door.
Nothing but good things to say about Axon as they take good care of tenants under their management. Great work Megan, Thanks again! John and Rachel@57.

Mallory at Axon Properties is an absolute rock star. She was able to get me the perfect apartment and was so kind and helpful during the whole process. The Axon team as a whole is also on point and incredibly organized. Overall a fantastic experience and wonderful team.

Retrospectively, living out of a compost bin would have been less of a hassle than renting with Axon.

I had a wholly negative experience with Axon. I could spend a day writing out all my grievances, but I will simply say we were given an over-priced unit in poor condition and then asked to pay for repairs. Furthermore, the correspondences with Axon representatives were often untimely and unprofessional.

If you are a student looking for rental options, I urge you to reconsider your choices.

Lastly, ask yourself what type of company has 5-star reviews that largely look formulaic.

Absolutely horrible - rude, unprofessional, poor communication/organization, continuously not able to follow agreements laid out in our lease. Would not recommend to anyone, especially if you are a student. Renting with them is a nightmare

If you are a prospective tenant, please for your own sake, reconsider. All these overwhelmingly positive reviews are honestly super suspicious to me when all of them talk about being able to sign the lease quickly… Instead if you take a closer look at the people who wrote negative reviews, you can see that what they’ve wrote about is what they’ve actually experienced during and after their time in axon’s units. Very negative experiences, and in this review I’m going to talk about mine. Axon is an unprofessional company: ignores complaints, take forever to fix problems, and constantly makes excuses for their mistakes/actions. We’ve had a leaking ceiling in some of the bedrooms in our units that has been an ongoing issue since September, to which we constantly reached out for axon to fix, yet axon constantly made excuses and dismissals for why they could not fix it. “We’ll be back tomorrow to fix the problem” never came back. “We need to get a permit to come fix” what permit takes a whole year? I sure don’t know. But what I do know is that there was constant rain and bugs coming through those cracks. But it’s the tenants that are living in those conditions and not Axon so of course it’s not their responsibility/problem right? (sarcasm) Despite reaching out to them at the end of the year to let them know that they haven’t resolved the problems and that they should probably fix it for the next people moving in, they gaslighted me and said I never informed them about those issues so they couldn’t fix it…Not sure what they meant because I literally had multiple email exchanges between axon and I discussing these issues throughout the whole year. I even sent them the screenshots of our email exchanges with the dates, yet they continued to deny them. Honestly, not sure if they even bothered looking at the screenshots if they're in this much denial about their lack of maintenance care. Don’t even get me started on how they left their units in disgusting states before our move in, didn’t clear away the garbage left behind by the previous tenants, or other problems like house mice and bats. Absolute nightmare.

Mallory was very accommodating and patient with all our questions and requests. She dealt with all matter with respect and efficiently, and was on time with all responses. Thanks to her we have found a really nice place to live next year! Mallory and Axon Properties are the best in the game to find you a nice home!

Great experience with David from Axon. Very prompt to reply, we had a zoom meeting in the evening even, and answered all my questions and put me in contact with the previous tenant, which is a good sign. She was also very happy with their interactions. Very excited to move in now and will update as time moves on.

I recently signed a lease with Axon. I was wanting an apartment ASAP and Shay came to my rescue. She moved the date for move in so I could get into the apartment quicker. I’ll be moving in a few days and I’m so excited! Shay was amazing to deal with! She answered all my questions and helped me with process. I saw the apartment and had a lease signed within a few hours! I was the best experience! I will update once I move in! Thanks again Shay!

I had mixed feelings about Axon but at the end of my rental experience.they really pulled through without knowing how big of a favor they did us. We had problems securing a moving truck and because we planned to leave the province my family was going to be homeless for a week and potentiallywas going to have to throw out all of our stuff.they let us stay a full week without charging us and without making it seem like an inconvenience. Dave had no Idea that my situation was that desperate.he just told us not to worry and offered us a whole extra week. He really had no idea what a favor he did us.

Thank you Dave and Axon for acting like real people and not corporate destroyers.

We're renting a house from Axon and it was surprisingly disgusting when we moved in. I had to wipe down every surface before I felt comfortable enough to unpack and there were layers upon layers of grime on every surface. There were cobwebs on the railing and the basement smelt strongly of mildew, not to mention that some of the lights are missing bulbs and windows are missing curtains. Our oven isn't working and still isn't (we informed them of the problem two weeks ago) and when we first arrived there was no key for the garage. Also, in the garage there was still garbage from a previous tenant, which I imagine had been sitting there for at least a month (when the previous tenants moved out). I wasn't expecting the place to be spotless or anything, but when a landlord has a month between rentors to clean and make sure everything is working, you would expect a little bit better than what we got.

I'm giving them 3 stars because they do seem earnest that they're trying their best, it's just below my expectations as both a rentor and a landlord.

If you are a tenant looking for a new place, avoid these property managers. They should be called glorified rent collectors.
Their only concern is collection.
If you have issues at your apartment they won't help you unless, they will ignore it. Even if its related to the tenants agreement and people are disturbing your peace, and you've called bylaw, they won't care. Avoid them I am warning you.
The apartment I left from, the rent was increased by 300 bucks! It was advertised as a premium area with working professionals and college students.more like crack heads and old ladies that steal your mail.
Did they care my mail got stolen? Nope, ignored completely and won't do anything to make apartment more safe from such things. I could go on for hours about thier nonsense. I feel sorry for the tenant who moved in after me.

Avoid axon if you wish to remain sane.

Not professional at all. They have consistently avoided major problems in a home I am CURRENTLY renting with them. Not only do we have a health issue in our house that is urgent, we also have major appliances that are completely broken and have not been attended to for over a month and a half. We have sent them multiple emails regarding maintenance and they continue to wait and wait and wait. It is rediculous. Another thing that is of concern is Nick Dowd literally walked into my room while I was there with a recording camera on with little to 0 notice other than a single knock and then immediately opening the door. Avoid these property managers at all cost!

If you want to rent a house in Kingston, this company should be your first choice. Hilary Thompson in particular is a true legend. She has very fast returns and excellent communication.

I am so glad from this company. Hilary was wonderful. She was the fastest which I see in Kingston.
She always replies your all questions and e-mails and she concluded my application in one day!
I spent a lot time (more than two weeks) for my some applications. So choose carefully a property management if you don't want to wait a lot!

Calvin is amazing! He is professional and courteous. He has excellent customer service skills which not everyone I have dealt with here does. He is attentive and responsive to emails and phone messages. Follows up immediately. Hope management knows that he is a big asset to this group. It's hard to find employees that are hardworking and pleasant while doing their job! Sweet natured and treats his potential tenants and parents with respect. Cheers!
